Izuku was used to waking up in strange places, spending a year inside a literal mental prison every night does that to a person. But this wasn't the same as his usual experience. "You're real lucky, kid." Izuku was stood in the same place where he had met the first wielder, though the void had changed since Izuku's last interaction with it. Beneath his feat, a stone floor had formed, on which was a large throne like chair.
Sat in said chair was a tall bald man, who's blue eyes stared into Izuku with a mix of emotions. "That stuff that saved you from stain, that was my power." A cluster of the black tendrils appeared in the man's palm. "I'm Daigoro Banjo, pro hero Lariat. This-" he nodded toward his palm: "-is Blackwhip, its a top grade power, but you've got no control right now. It's a miracle you managed to fire that blast at that Sheridan bloke, never mind how you're not dead right now."
Izuku's eyes shot open at that. "Yep, your body is no where near the level you need for the other users' quirks, you passed out after using mine for a few seconds. If your long nosed buddy is to be believed then we've not got long before everything starts to go to shit, so I'm gonna teach you everything there is to know about my power. Preferably before you kill yourself with it."
As Ilda left to use the bathroom, Todoroki's gaze shifted to Midoriya. The three of them had already been treated, however uncertainty around the hero killer's 'quirk' awakening had made the doctors keep them under surveillance until their internships ended. "Midoriya, you told me you would 'explain later', would now be an optimum time?"
"R-right, well, what would you like to know?"
"The shadows, your 'quirk', the hero killer's new power, it's all connected. Are you Stain's secret love child?" Izuku seemed to short circuit at that last one.
"So these 'Persona' Stain obtained one?"
"Yes, last Christmas an event occurred that linked one of the places Shadows come from with our world, I'm pretty sure that's when Stain got his Persona." Last Christmas? Shoto recalled something from that time, a video- no, a declaration of war. Endeavour had been furious when he saw the announcement, though Shoto hadn't paid attention as to why. That was why he recognised Izuku, and the people who fought with to him at the sports festival.
The figure stepped towards the camera, green eyes boring into the souls of the criminals who watched: "Yes. Before that happens, we will take this country."
It has been Midoriya all along, and he even had the confidence to keep his alias the same- the wild card hero: Joker. The words left Todoroki's mouth before he could truly process the national secret Izuku had basically admitted to: "You're a Phantom Thief."
Two loud clangs sounded through the UA warehouse as Blackwhip dropped the weights, it didn't help that Izuku was distracted by the several plumes of smoke that refused to stop billowing from his body. "Sorry, kid." Banjo spoke. "But that's a side effect of having our quirks too early, that'll just happen. You'll be fine by the time your exams roll around."
"Final's are only two weeks away!"
"Then you better get training, huh." Izuku's thoughts were taken away from the previous wielders as the door to the training area slid open, revealing the- "Am I a mouse, am I a dog, am I a bear? It doesn't matter, because I'm the principal! How's your control doing, Midoriya."
"Good, I-" The teen was interrupted as a loud noise came from a device held by Nezu, the sound startled Izuku, causing the boy to send himself flying- literally- into the roof.
"I'd hardly call that control 'Good'." The Chimera was met with a groan of pain and a mumble of 'sadist' from his student. "It's hardly like you can say anything Midoriya, you are as well."
"That's Haru's fault."
The principal laughed to himself: "You know I was having a discussion with her while she was moving, during which she started muttering incoherently. I think you are a bad influence Midoriya." The hero teased.
"Hypocrite."
The bus pulled to a stop outside of the examination building, outside of which stood a row of teachers. That alone filled Izuku with dread, but the devilish grin on Nezu's face only served to confirm Izuku's fears. "Welcome, students! As you know, this year has been rather unusual. With the USJ attack, along with a certain-" He cleared his throat. "-Incident during internships we have decided to increase the difficulty of this years exam. I'm sure you can tell why all the teachers are here." Kaminari and Ashido groaned as the class finally realised their dilemma. "Of course their aren't enough teachers here now, which is why-"
"I am here!" All Might fell from the sky, his mass shaking the concrete. "To face young Bakugou and young Midoriya!" All Might's deep blue eyes pierced into the boys, which was when Izuku realised:
He was so fucked.
ANs:
People have already got that Stain's Persona was a historical serial killer, so I might as well say the details. Here's the profile for Sheridan.
Arcana: Hunger
Background: An infamous London serial killer, his identity is heavily debated, and his number of victims unknown. His name derives from one of many letters sent to the police from people claiming to be the killer, though it is unlikely any were sent by the man himself. The letter was signed: Jack Sheridan, the Ripper.
