AN: Getting back into the swing of things and of course this story.

For twenty minutes now Tara has been sitting in the diner waiting for her sister in law to show up. It feels weird calling Amber her sister in law, considering that Tara and Jordan are not even together for obvious reasons of course. A few days ago When Tara mentioned to Jax that Melinda's Aunt from New York was coming to Charming for a visit, she had asked Jax what she should tell Amber if Amber brings up Jordan and Jax suggested that Tara should just tell Amber that Jordan walked out on her and asked for a divorce instead of actually telling Amber the real truth.

Setting her coffee mug down after taking a drink from it Tara looked over as she heard the bell above the diner door as it's opening up and she noticed Amber was walking in." Amber, over here." Tara called out as she waved Amber over to her table as she stood up.

Walking towards Tara's table Amber gave Tara a friendly hug." It's so good to see you Tara, you look amazing as always.",She said as she step away and sat across from Tara as she took her sunglasses off and set them on the table.

" You too, Melinda and Thomas are going to be so happy to see you." Tara said as she sat back down as she takes another drink of her coffee that was still warm.

Where are my two favorite people? Amber asked as she hoped to see her niece and nephew.

" Thomas is hanging out with his girlfriend and Melinda is with Jasmine."

And Jasmine is Abel's wife?" Amber asked as she tried to remember what Tara had told her about her older son and his wife during their last phone conversation, which was only two days ago.

" Actually, not quite yet. They're planning on getting married after their son is born." Tara answered with a smile as the thought of her first grandson came through her mind." So where are you staying?"Tara asked as she was wondering if she should have Amber stay with her and Jax or not.

"I'm staying at a hotel that's a couple of miles away from here. Now, I have a question for you. Why are you really back here? And more importantly, what's going on between you and my brother?"

Tara shrugs her shoulders." There's nothing going on between me and your brother anymore. He walked out on me, asked for a divorce and took that job in Florida. I came back here because I felt that there nothing in Oregon for me anymore. Besides I wanted to open my own clinic and Charming just seem like the right place for it."

" Hmmm, I still think I should give Jordan a call and get his side of the story." It's not that Amber doesn't believe Tara or anything. It's just she wants to hear Brian's side because right now none of this makes sense to her.

"Do what you gotta do. Come on; I gotta go pick up Melinda, and I know she'll love to see her Auntie." Tara said with a smile as she got up and grabbed her purse and jacket.

When Amber stood up, she then noticed a huge engagement ring on Tara's finger. She quickly grabbed Tara's hand to get a closer look. "Oh my God," she said with concern, "did Jax ask you to marry him again?" She recalled everything Tara had told her about her marriage to Jax and how it had failed.

Tara sighed softly as she pulled her hand away. "I will answer that question later," Tara said as she walked out of the diner. Tara was hoping that Amber wouldn't notice the ring or ask the question. But now that Amber had, it looked like Tara was going to have to answer her question.

"I can show Aunt Amber my room now, Mommy?" Melinda asked as soon as all three of them had come home from Abel's and Jasmine's fifteen minutes ago, and Melinda had been very patient and excited to show her Auntie, her new room.

Tara chuckled lightly as she nodded her head."Of course you can baby." Tara answered as she watched her daughter pull Amber down the hallway, before Amber had the chance to say anything. Tara exhaled deeply as she walked into the kitchen and went to get the coffee started. As the coffee was brewing, she felt her cell vibrate in her pocket.

Pulling her cell phone out of her back pocket, Tara smiled as soon as she saw Jax's name across her screen. "Hey, baby," she greeted him as soon as she answered his call.

" Hey babe, did you're sister in law made it to Charming yet?"

" Yeah, she's here, Melinda is showing her room right now. When are you guys coming home? Tara asked as she sat down at the kitchen table. Jax, Abel and some of the guys had to do help out with the Nevada Charter for a few days. They should be coming home soon.

" We should be back in Charming hopefully by tomorrow night."

" I will make sure to keep the key under the welcome mat." Tara said with a chuckle as she then looks down at her hand as she kept staring at her ring for a second as she sighs deeply." Hey, um Amber noticed my engagement ring."

" Oh, well what did you tell her?"

" Nothing yet, I mean she did ask me if we were getting married. I just haven't given her answer yet."

" Why not?"

Tara sighs softly as she rubs the bridge of her nose for a moment, because she found a picture that I had of us with the boys, when they were little. She sorta asked about you. Asked about our marriage and why we got a divorce."

" What did you tell her?"

" Don't worry I didn't tell her exactly everything, I basically told her that at that point of time you and I sorta grew apart and I wanted more for myself and the boys. I also told her that I needed to get our sons away from the violence and you agreed to let us go."

" Yeah, well you didn't really give me much of a choice babe."

Tara nods her head a little." Yeah, I guess I didn't." She said softly as she exhales deeply and closed her eyes for a moment." She also been trying to get contact Jordan for awhile now, and I don't know Jax, maybe I should tell her the truth. Not the real truth of course, but at least tell her a truth she can handle."

Are you sure you want to tell her, babe?", Jax asked, not feeling right about Tara telling Amber that Brian was actually dead. "I mean, what if she starts asking questions, questions that you know you can't really answer?"

" Yeah, I know Jax. But I gotta tell her something, because the more she tries to reach out to him, the more she's going to be suspicious. And I having a feeling that she already is." Hearing footsteps Tara looks over as she notices Amber walking into the kitchen." Hey, I gotta go."

" Alright babe, I will call you later."

" Who was that?" Amber asked as she sat down across from Tara.

" Jax, he and Abel and the club are coming home tomorrow." Tara answered as she set her cell down and got up and walked over to the coffee machine to pour them each a cup of coffee." Did you try to get hold of Jordan yet?"

" Yeah, and I still keep getting his voicemail."

Setting a cup of coffee in front of Amber as she walked back to her side of the table and sat down. "Yeah, there's a reason why you keep getting his voicemail and probably why you might not hear from him for a while."

" What do you mean?" Amber asked as she set her cup down.

Tara sighed heavily before answering Amber's question."Amber, Jordan is dead."

" What?"
