Note: So in this chapter is the last sort of filler chapter.

"Oh my heavens Tommty you are the worse teacher ever!" Jay groaned slamming her locker shut. She had been at Tommy's a week and she had just finished her first day of school. Jay and the three rangers have become very close and Jay took a job at the Cyberspace. "Tommy do you even know how to smile in class?"

"The man hardly smiles outside of it". Conner stated grabbing his things.

"Sorry guys but its kind of my job". Tommy spoke coming up behind them. "Jay are you working tonight?"

"No why?" She asked him as they got outside. She watched in sadness as she noticed the basketball coach exit with his team. Conner noticed as well but he had an idea.

"There is something i want to show you".

"Okay".

"I have something to do i will meet you guys later". Conner spoked as he ran towards the gym.

"Come on Ethan lets go to Hayley's and start our english homework. Jay you coming later?" Kira asked her.

"Sure".

Tommy led her to his jeep and drove off. Tommy parked down the street and led her towards the trees to be hidden. "I want to show you this".

Jay looked to where he was pointing and tensed. Her brother was moving his stuff into his new house. "How long has he been here?"

"Couple of days ago, i saw him at the park but i never said anything about you when we spoke. Jay's he's lost. He told me he got your note. I'm not saying you should go right over there now but i think you need to see him." Tommy told her as he wrapped his arms around her shoulders from behind. "I haven't seen him this lost since you were in your coma."

Jay hugged his arms. "Tommy i can't, especially watching you guys fight against Mesogog. I have to protect him and keep him out of harms way".

"Jaylynn why are you keeping such a huge weight like this on your shoulders?"

"Its the only thing i can do, you and Ryan have always protected me growing up now its my turn. I can't fight. I don't have a gem of my own". She spoke turning to face him.

"Look you know just as much as i do how strong Ryan was when he was a ranger, he is still strong now. He told me that him and Dana are meeting at the beach tonight. Think about it okay"

She nodded and followed him to his jeep as they drove home.

Wih Conner...

Conner Mcknight was reflecting on how he wanted to follow his dream of becoming a soccer player instead of a ranger so he knew how Jay felt. He walked into the gym.

"Coach Manning do you have a minute?" Conner asked the basketball coach in the entrance.

"Hey Conner, its about time you sports". He spoke causing Conner to chuckle. "What can i do for you?"

"Coach i have a friend who has her dream crushed of being able to play fully ever again but i was wondering if your still looking for a coach or assistant for your junior team?"

Coach Manning smiled. "Yeah Conner i am can i ask who she is?"

"Her name is Jaylynn Mitchell she is from Mariner Bay but lives here now". Conner told him as they exited the school. "It would mean a lot to her if you could speak to her".

"I will talk to her. I have heard about her Conner. Thank you for speaking to me". Coach Manning told Conner as they parted ways. Conner walked away with a smile.

With Jaylynn...

"Tommy have you seen my bag? you know the one i had with me when i got here?" Jaylynn asked him as she entered the lab.

"You mean the one with the pony patch" He said with a smirk.

"Yes goofball that one. Excuse me but i have that since i was 7 and if i remember you got me that bag". She informed him raising an eyebrow.

"With Mom's help". He mumbled under his breath. "Its in the closet on the top shelf in your room".

"Thank you". She told him with a smile running upstairs. Tommy noticed the piece of the green gem began to glow softly again.

Jaylynn pulled the bag out of the closet. She tilted her head as the front pouch began to glow softly. She opened it and pulled out a silver chain with a green stone what was glowing brightly. "Tommy!" She yelled.

He ran to the door. "Jay where did that come from?" He asked in a serious tone.

"I don't know Tommy i swear i have never seen it before". She told him a little scared. He took it from her and they watched the two pieces mould together.

"Jay its bonding with you". He told her with a smile as she held it in her hands.

"What does that mean?"

"It means your now a ranger like me and the others". Tommy spoke. "There is just one piece missing".

"I don't understand how did this piece get in my bag. I have only used this bag when i was a teenager. I brought it with me here because it was small enough to keep somethings in it".

"I don't know but we will find out. Jay would you like to join us? i am not going to force this on you but we have enough to build a morpher for you?"

She looked at the gem then at Tommy. "Do you really think i can do this?"

"I do".

"Okay i will join your team". She told him as he gave her a tight hug. The looked up as the door opened.

"Sorry we didn't see you in the lab". Kira said from the door. "Is that what i think it is?"

"Dr.O its the green gem". Ethan said eyeing the glowing rock. "Jay its yours".

"it is, i found the second piece but we don't have the rest", Jay told him as Kira sat next to her. "Where's Conner?"

"We don't know he told us he had to talk to someone at the school". Ethan told her. "Whoa!" He exclaimed as the gem formed into a morpher on its own. "Jay its a serpent".

"Its a Titanoboa, its a snake". Tommy answered. "What? i am your science teacher".

"Do you think someone owned this gem before?" Kira asked.

"Its possible. Let me see if Hayley can track where it landed or anything". Tommy told them as he went to the lab.

Jay fell back onto her pillows and groaned. "Oh god what are Ryan and Dana going to think?" She yelled into the pillow she covered her head in.

"Jay you might want to come and take a look at this". Tommy told her from her door. "Now". The three rangers followed him.

Once they were all seated Hayley turned to them. "Jaylynn your gem originated in Mariner Bay centuries ago. It traces back to when the demons in Mariner Bay were first freed but not the time when your family sealed them away the second time".

"Hayley what are you saying?"

"Tommy i'm saying that Jaylynn bonded to this gem four years ago. Jay your energry levels have been off since Tommy told me the gem first began to glow and you experienced a green light from your chest".

Jay's mouth dropped open. "But why now after all this time?"

"At the time you were still a teenager. Dino gems bond to DNA as you got older you got stronger but after your coma your body was too weak to handle it so it might have stayed dormant. Now that your recovering and your body is healing its become active again knowing you can handle the power". Hayley told her with a knowing smile.

"But the question is how did she get the gem in the first place?" Kira asked from where she was sitting next to Tommy.

Hayley looked down."The gem she has came from the lair. The cobra's lair, just outside of Mariner Bay".

Jay's head whipped around so face they thought it would pop off. "Hayley your not saying..."

"Yes Jay, the same lair that you and your brother defeated and beat your cobra curse". Hayley finished. "The only way you will discover the truth is to go back".

Jay put the silver bracelet on her wrist. "Okay if that's what i have to do to get answers i will go back".

"Do you want one of us to go with you?" Ethan asked her.

"No, something tells me i have to do this alone. I will head out tomorrow". Jaylynn answered her friend. "Tommy can i borrow your jeep. I have a family to go see".

He handed her his keys which she took. "Good luck okay". Jay nodded at him and walked out of the lab.

Reefside Beach..

Ryan, Dana and their Dad sat around a fire that they had made to celebrate Ryan's moving and starting a new job.

He sat alone watching the waves as he twirled his ring around his finger. He never turned when Dana sat next to him. "Ryan you okay?"

"No, i miss her Dana. None of this feels right without her, i mean her stuff is packed in boxes in a room and not knowing if they will ever be unpacked doesn't seem right". Ryan spoke softly looking out into the ocean.

"The lets make it right". A voice behind them sounded. Ryan and Dana shot up so fast. "Hi". Jaylynn spoke in a whisper.

"Oh my God". Dana said civering her mouth. "Jay?"

"Hi D, i was told you guys were here". Jaylynn told them rubbing her arms.

Dana and Ryan stepped forward but Jay stepped back.. "I can't believe your here, Jay where have you been?"

She looked at her brother. "I've been here since i left Mariner Bay. I ended up on Tommy's doorstep that night. I, Uh made him promise not to say anything if he ever saw you guys".

"Jaylynn?" She turned to see her Dad.

"Hi Daddy".

"My baby". He frowned as she kept her distance. "What's wrong?"

"I wasn't sure if you wanted to see me after what i did".

Bill Mitchell marched up to his youngest. "Don't you ever let me hear you say that again!.Jay everyone fights, everyone goes through hard times. We missed you so much but we understood that you needed time. We shouldn't have spoke about sending you to get help without talking to you first".

"Thanks Dad". She told him wrapping her two arms around him. "I love you".

"I love you to so much. Now go and cheer up those two misfits because i am getting too old for this". He told her with a smile.

Jay walked over and stood in front of her older siblings. She looked down at the ground. "I'm sorry".

Ryan lifted her chin with his fingers. "Jay i would do anything to take it back. I was just trying to get you help.I guess a part of me still sees the teenager i first came back to"

"I'm still her just a little older". She laughed out jumping into his strong arms.

"Excuse me young lady but what is that?" Dana spoke looking at her wrist. "Jay are you a ranger?"

"Maybe" She shrugged causally. "We can talk about that later right now how about we have some fun?"

The girls yelled as water balloons hit them. They turned to see Ryan acting innocent. "Ryan Andrew Mitchell what are you doing?" Jay asked pointing her finger.

"Nothing i swear". He told them. "Dad care to help your son?"

"Off course".

The girls yelled running down the beach. Their laugher filling the air. Tommy came out from behind a tree and smiled. "Your going to be okay Jay". He whispered into the night as he walked away.

"So Ryan got a room for me in that big house?" Jay asked as she ate a marshmallow.

"Depends. Depends on you not eating the snacks all the time". He told he with a smirk.

"Have you met me?" She told him throwing a marshmallow at him. "Fine i will go stay at Conner's".

"Don't even think about it!" Ryan choked out. "You have the biggest room in the house".

"Thought so". She laughed giving Dana a high five.

"Jay are they alive?" Kira's voice sounded through her gem. "Are you alive?"

Jay laughed. "Yeah Kira we are all alive. For now".

"Cool".

"Tommy you there?"

"Yeah Jay?"

"I am being held hostage tonight and maybe for the rest of my life so can i come and get my stuff tomorrow. I think Ryan might go grey early if i don't move in with him?"

"No problem see you tomorrow. Plus i might have came and got my jeep to". Tommy told her. "Night".

"Sorry but i don't give rides to hitchhikers".

"Too bad big brother but your stuck with me. Again". Jay told her brother as he wrapped an arm around her.

Once Jay and Ryan said goobye to Dana and their Dad they both went home. Jay walked inside. "Wow this place is huge".

"Yeah it is. I almost put it back on the market. It didn't seem right without you." He let a stray tear fall. Jay took his hands. "I promised to look after you after the demons were gone and i broke that promise. I broke it when you went into a coma and i broke it again when you left. Its all my fault your going through this".

Jay shook her head. "Ryan listen, please. We are both to blame for this. That night of the explosion i should have given you time to explain. But we are both stubborn. But you were the same way when you remembered your past to because you also left to figure it all out to. I know you want to protect me from all the evils of the world and i love you for it but you also have to accept that i am not that litle girl anymore".

Ryan sighed and kissed her head. "I know. Just promise me if you ever feel sad or angry you talk to me?"

"I will. Now i am exhausted so i need a bed". She told him with a yawn as he led her to the room he picked out for her. She took a huge shirt and sweat pants from him since she had her stuff at Tommy's.

"Sleep well Jay".
