It's his lowest moment of his life, scared and worried about himself and Henry. One hand, he's terrified to believe and that everyone replies on him but the other, he must do something that's best for Henry.
Henry has one last thing up to his sleeve is to fight for Magnus and fight with all his being, so he went over to Mary Margaret's loft knowing that Magnus will be there. Things have to change, Magnus believes this is the best, but Henry was not surprised by this. He was startled when he saw that Magnus really do not believe, "wait, wait, you talked to mom?"
"She's going to take good care of you. I used my superpower and she's telling the truth."
"No, no, she wants you here!"
"Come on, Henry!"
"You're the only one that can break the curse!"
"For what? All she ever done is to fight for you. I'm sorry, no."
Henry hugged Magnus, and he wraps his arms around Henry's back, "it's the truth, Charlie."
"Henry, you gotta stop thinking like that!"
"You leaving is not going to change anything."
Magnus has no other choice but to take him home, "come on kid," he can't do this anymore. He tried for months to show him that the fantasy of his isn't real. This is the real world, and it is reality. Henry and Regina whole heartly believes in Magnus no matter the cost.
Magnus drove him home, but it was usually dark inside, so he walks inside with him, "Regina?"
"Mom?"
Henry searches for mom around the house and saw an apple on the floor, "mom?!" Henry ran to Regina's body and Magnus shook her body, "Regina. Regina!"
Regina's body rolled into the hospital and Magnus still shaking her body, "Regina. Babe, can you hear me?" The doctor rolled her into a room, "come on, Gina, wake up, please! Come on, babe, come on!"
The nurse needed to help her, "sir, you need to …"
"Fuck off, lady! I am not leaving her!" pushes her hard onto the floor. The doctor checked her eyes, "there's no pupil response." He looked up to distraught Magnus who was about to kill everybody in the room if someone doesn't find a way to save her, "what happened? Did she fall? Hit his head?"
He showed her a bag of apple, "she ate this. I think it's poisoned." The doctor looked into her throat, "her airway is clear. Did she vomit? Any convulsing or disorientation?"
"She took bite of this and just collapsed!" he urges the doctor to run for arsenic, bleach or Drano, anything at all. The doctor doesn't think it's possible she was poison, "she's showing no symptoms that would suggest neurotoxin. So, whatever is going on, this is not the culprit."
"What else could it be?"
"I don't know. That's what I am trying to find out."
"She's going to be okay, right?"
Dr. Whale rolled up his sleeves, "we just need to stabilize her because she's slipping away. Is there anything else you can remember?"
"I told you everything! Fucking do something!" He wanted to hit the doctor so bad, but controlled himself because he needed him to save Regina.
"Look, I understand you're frustrated, Mr. Magnus. I do," watching Magnus going to get Henry's backpack while he continued, "there is no explanation, it's like …"
Magnus studied the book and remembered one part of the book where Snow White ate the apple, the sleeping curse, "like magic." He touched the book and it electricized him and brought all the memories of Storybrooke lives, his parents giving birth to Emma, his dad fighting to save her, and Cora, the Evil Queen. His eyes are opened, but even more incensed with himself and everything that's happens. Henry yelled at mom, "mom!" while Mary Margaret held him back. She ate the apple, and it's true. Everything is true, oh fuck. He needs magic to save her, Henry. Henry. He's more afraid of what it's going to do to her, and he's not going to let her die.
"Henry!" looking for Henry and found him with Mary Margaret and David, his parents, "we need help. Where can I find magic?"
"Rumple."
"Who?"
"Mr. Gold."
Magnus nods and stood up to about to run, but Henry was doing the same, so he turns, "no! Stay with David and Mary Margaret."
"But …"
"No, it's not safe. This is something I have to do."
"Does my eyes deceive me or is that the look of a believer?" Mr. Gold brought out a long chest front of Magnus.
"I need your help."
"Indeed, you do. Magic here is unpredictable, and it always come with a price."
"Regina didn't need to pay it!"
"No, you should have believed in Henry, but alas, we are where we are."
"Can you help me?" He cannot imagine life without Regina, without her snarky comment and her sharp tongue. No, no, I refuse to let her die by my mistake.
"Of course," opening the chest to show a sword, "True Love, Mr. Magnus, is the only magic powerful enough to transcend realms and break any curse." Luckily for anyone, he has it hidden inside the dragon's mouth, "from strands of your parents' hair and I made the most powerful potion of all realms. So powerful that when I created the Dark Curse."
"You did this?"
"Just a safety valve."
"That's why I'm the Savior. That's why I can break the curse!" He doesn't care about this, "I fucking do not care about this, but all I care about is saving Regina."
"I didn't use the potion. I saved it for a rainy day."
"Where is it?"
"You shouldn't be concern with where it is; however, you should be worried about getting it," he's the product of True Love and magic. He has to be the one to find it.
"Where is this magic?"
"The friend in the basement. I hid it in her."
"Who is 'her'?"
"Someone you should be prepared for," then removed the sword from the chest, "you are going to need this."
"What is that?"
"Your father's sword."
Magnus went back to the hospital and held the book in Henry's arms when he sat beside her, Magnus whispers, "Gina, you were right, and I should have believed you. I'm sorry." Henry looks up to him, "what are you gonna do?"
"I'm going to save her, I promise Henry. I will," he knew that Henry has the right to be mad at him because I did this. I made her pay the price so I can believe in the curse, the life of Enchanted Forest and Emma. This person must've means something to her that she fought so hard to get her back.
Magnus needed to visit August and to apologize to him when he tried to see the truth. "Please open up. I know you're in there," he kept knocking on his door.
"I can't," he heard August spoke up. Magnus kept banging the door and broke down the door, whoa, a wooden man, "what's the fuck happening?"
"You can see now?"
"You believe," stating a fact that Magnus finally believe in the curse.
"Yeah, I do." Magnus wanted to stop this and save him too, he was a good friend to him.
"Break the curse."
He sat next to him on the bed, "I'll try. I promise."
"I have to save Regina first, but I need your help."
"No, you don't," he sees it was all too much for him, overwhelming to see the whole truth, but it's crazy. "The quest to find magic," Magnus couldn't do it alone, "I can't. No normal person can."
"Luckily for us, you are not normal. You can save Regina; you can save all of …" his head was full wooden head, and he closes his eyes.
"August?" He wept for his friend and that he was too late to save him. His parents and everyone else, but most of all Regina, fucking no, this is not happening to Regina. He's even more determined than ever to save Regina.
Mr. Gold waited for Magnus at the library, his wife's library, and spotted Magnus with a sword. He unlocked the chain and opens the door to inside the library. He touched the glass tree to open, "whoa," Magnus' eyes widen. Mr. Gold works to open the elevator then turns to Magnus, "get in."
"After you."
"It's a two-man job. The elevator's hand operated. I have to stay up here and lower you down."
"And I'm supposed to trust you?"
"I don't think you have much of a choice, dearie."
"What's the fuck down there? The battle I'm supposed to fight? Who is it?"
"Her punishment is different than everyone else. Cora trapped her in a different form."
"Let's be clear on something, the only reason you're not dead because I need your help saving Regina. She dies, so do you."
"This is what you have to do, dearie."
Magnus drew his father's sword out while going down.
Mary Margaret and Henry stayed with Regina, but Henry couldn't read to her, so he asked Mary Margaret to read instead. She was reading their story, the story of Regina and Emma and how they met. Life didn't always have a happy ending, but I thought … she stopped when she heard the machine beeping, "what is that?"
"Mom! No! No," Henry never cried this hard before, holding her hands. "Momma. Mom."
"Dr. Whale!" Mary Margaret screamed for him.
"What's going on?" Dr. Whale and the nurse ran into the room. Dr. Whale felt her pulse, and Henry screaming for mom repeatedly, "mom!" The nurse had to force him out of the room while three nurses hurried inside because Regina's heart is failing, "come on, Regina," the nurses started ICU, calling for defibrillator team to revive Regina.
Magnus held the large golden egg tight in his arms while going up then it stopped, clanging loudly, "Rumple, what's the fuck was that?"
"Mr. Swan, you got it?"
"There's something wrong with this old elevator, so there's no time for this." Mr. Gold watches her to try to climb up while holding the egg. "No, you can't. Just toss it up."
"Regina will be fine, I promise. We are running out of time. Toss it up."
He sighs and doesn't have the choice, but to toss it up, "Mr. Gold?" He hurried climbing up and "fuck," he gone, I knew he would do this. He tricked me, but he can't be that far. His cell phone was ringing and saw the number from the hospital.
Magnus ran upstairs, floor to floor and reached the ICU floor where Regina is held. He saw Dr. Whale and Mother Blue sadly walking out of her room, "we did everything we could."
Mother Blue sadly speaks, "I'm sorry. You're too late."
No, no and no, Magnus couldn't believe it. The nurse was taking everything off of her, and he stared at her, looking so cold but beautiful. Henry walks in with Mary Margaret, but he couldn't bear to look at him. Henry blames him and hates him. He knows Henry will never forgive him.
Mr. Gold opens the golden egg with his key and True Love potion in his hand with a mission in his mind, is to find Bae and bring her back home. There's no time to waste, and he drove with Belle to the certain wishing well in the middle of the forest.
Magnus was never a man who cried and burst into tears, but this time, he didn't care if anyone was watching him. He brushes her hair back, sniffing for his love. Loving her was the scariest part of his life. I love you, Regina, I do, and I am sorry I took this long. There I said it out loud, he touches her face and said it out loud this time, "I love you, Regina," and presses his lips on her forehead. True Love has proved time and again that it is the most powerful of all realms. A pulse of pure love shuddered out and engulfed Storybrooke, waking up Regina and bringing light to the darkness.
The memories return to him when he felt the magical air through him then watches Regina gasp when she woke up. "Regina. Gina," he kisses her hard on the lips.
"Emma, I love you too. You saved me," Regina presses her lips onto his.
The entire Storybrooke now has their true memories, Snow White and Prince Charming and every single person in town. Mother Blue walks in, "you did it."
"Regina, what's going on?" He kept his hand on hers.
"The curse, idiot. You broke it."
"That was True Love's kiss," Mother Blue knew this would happen, but not like this between Regina and Emma.
Snow White ran outside of the hospital to find David and jumped into his arms.
Mr. Gold arrives at the wishing well with Belle, the well that has the power to return the one has lost. He took out the True Love potion from his back pocket, opened the potion and spilled into the well. The purple smoke, magic poured out of the well, engulfing entire Storybrooke to bring back magic.
"Mom!" Henry ran and jumped onto the bed for a tight hug. "Henry," she runs his fingers through his hair then looked up to Magnus, but why is he still a man, doesn't … oh right, magic works differently here. "Regina, why didn't we go back?"
"I don't know," Regina honesty does not know then heard someone dropped something when the nurse saw something outside. Magnus touches her shoulder, "are you okay?" A loud rumbling, the purple smoke engulfing fast and has reached the town.
Something bad is coming.
Magic is coming.
Magic is power.
Magic is everything.
Snow White and Prince Charming held together very tightly when it engulfs over them, over the library then towards the hospital.
It's his lowest moment of his life, scared and worried about himself and Henry. One hand, he's terrified to believe and that everyone replies on him but the other, he must do something that's best for Henry.
