The blaring, high pitched battle alarm went off and I felt Rebel jump slightly and her feet shuffle expecting to be ambushed. "Here we go." She told herself almost silently. I glanced around the room, looking for a clock to determine if it was midnight already, but I couldn't tell. General Kenobi waved us towards the outside once again so we could meet in the war room in the temple. We were blocked by Palpatine though and on cue we grabbed our blasters and the Jedi flipped on their sabers. He stood tall with his hands behind his back, even without any security he acted as if he had the most capable force field guarding him. He looked at Rebel and I with contempt, thinking our efforts to overthrow him were futile, but now that it was our time for action I no longer felt like we couldn't handle it, we could thwart his every attempt to hinder us. I stared back at him, daring him to take a shot, I know Rebel did the same. He backed down first looking at someone who was behind the wall we couldn't see. A shifty smile spread across his face, I knew he hadn't come alone, and wouldn't back away from a challenge without reason. "We have so many Separatist fleets, they will have to spread out thin." I heard a familiar voice that was masked with evil, hiding a certain pain. General Skywalker walked into the room like he owned it as he always did, but this time it was different; it was as if it wasn't his; he'd take it. He looked at us, but it was not his eyes we saw, they weren't blue and adventurous as usual, they were yellowish and hateful. I felt my heart drop, never guessing this would be what we'd have to fight, I took back my words, we couldn't handle anything he threw at us, I wanted to give up. "Yes, you are right, my boy." Palpatine agreed with him uncompassionately, not looking at him as he stood by his side, hand on his lightsaber ready to fight, this time his own friends. "I didn't tell y'all something." Rebel whispered with her eyes shut, holding in the tears. I felt like I wanted to run away, not wanting anymore surprises, but I also felt like yelling at Rebel for keeping this from us. "General Skywalker, he-he turns over to the darkside." She turned her face away from the rest of us, lined up side by side facing the source of evil. I heard Kenobi and Tano's gasps of disbelief but couldn't look at them, instead I watched Rebel drop her blaster on accident, as it slipped out of her limp hand. She held her own hands together behind her back hiding her fidgeting from the Sith.
