Sergeant Reed ignored the comment and continued to read the note.
"Please give us one million dollars in unmarked bills and the city of Delta. We'll tell you where to find them. "
"One million dollars and the city of Delta?" the female officer gasped. "That's ridiculous!"
Sergeant Reed looked up from the note. "Yes, it is ridiculous," he said. "The ransom's a distraction. I'm sure they're after something else."
But it was too late. Everyone except Reed and the female officer had already left as soon as he had finished reading the note.
"Damn it," said Sergeant Reed. "No one ever listens to us."
It was a shame no one had listened to him, since he was right - Harry and Lloyd wanted RoboCop to help them pull a heist. They had heard about his superhuman strength and thought it would be perfect for the job they had in mind.
But of course, they needed RoboCop to be willing to help, so they decided that kidnapping him and Officer Lewis would force him into cooperation.
So the two men drove away with their captives, heading towards a deserted warehouse where they planned on keeping RoboCop until he agreed to do their bidding.
They locked RoboCop and Lewis in separate cells within the warehouse and watched them from a security camera while planning their next move.
It was clear that this was going to take some convincing if RoboCop wasn't going to resist their offer - but luckily for them, Harry had an ace up his sleeve.
Later that morning, Harry walked into RoboCop's cell with a small device in his hand. "Good morning, RoboCop," he said cheerfully. "I hope you slept well."
RoboCop stood up, his eyes fixed on Harry. "What do you want?" he asked coldly.
"I want to make you an offer," Harry said, holding up the device. "This beauty right here is a virus that can infect your system and rewrite your programming. With it, I can make you do whatever I want."
RoboCop's eyes narrowed. "You think you can control me?"
Harry smirked. "Oh, I know I can. And if you don't cooperate, Officer Lewis here will be in a world of pain."
At that moment, Lloyd walked into Lewis' cell, carrying a taser. "Morning, Officer Lewis," he said brightly. "Ready for another round of 'How Many Volts Can You Take?'"
"Where is she?" said RoboCop angrily.
"She's safe... for now," Harry replied. "But that could change if you don't agree to help us with this heist."
RoboCop glared at Harry, but he knew he was in a tough spot. He couldn't risk Officer Lewis getting hurt, so he reluctantly agreed to help with the heist.
"Good choice," Harry said, activating the virus and uploading the new programming into RoboCop's system.
Suddenly, the SWAT team burst into the warehouse with a group of officers and a negotiator.
"Wha...? How did you find us?" said Harry.
"Murphy's got a GPS tracking system installed in him," said the negotiator.
"Robo, you go with them, we're gonna kill your human friend," threatened Harry.
"You mean Officer Lewis?" said the negotiator. "Where is she?"
"We're not telling you" said Harry, "until we get a million dollars and the city of Delta."
"What about Pittsburgh, 800k and a county to be named later?" said the negotiator.
"Pittsburgh?" said Lloyd. "It's a dea-"
Harry nudged him.
"We're not going to agree to anything they say yet. We just wanted RoboCop to help us steal the diamond, remember?" Harry whispered into his ear.
"Yeah, but the plan didn't work," said Lloyd. "They found us."
"This is Plan B."
"Plan B?"
"Yes. While you lead him to the museum, I'll keep the negotiator busy. Once he gets the diamond for us, we'll demand something they can actually provide us with, and we'll release him and his partner, and they'll never find out about the diamond. "
"Where are you going?" said the negotiator as he noticed Lloyd and RoboCop leaving.
"Oh, Lloyd's just leading him to the bathroom," lied Harry.
The negotiator raised an eyebrow but didn't argue, and Harry breathed a sigh of relief as they made their way out of the warehouse and towards the museum.
Once they arrived, Lloyd led RoboCop to the diamond exhibit.
"Alright, Robo, you know what to do," he said, handing him a small device. "Use this to cut through the glass and get the diamond."
RoboCop nodded, taking the device and getting to work. It only took a few seconds for him to break through the glass and retrieve the diamond, and soon they were on their way back to the warehouse.
