"I'll assume you've read the report?" Anderson looks up at the door, to a thoughtful Ingrid.
"I have."
"Then? What's your thoughts on this mysterious 'heroic spirit'?"
"Assuming that this Commander is mentally stable, I would still have trouble believing them. However, the bigger issue is whether this heroic spirit is an ally to humanity and the Ark."
"My thoughts as well. For now, I shall simply write her down as a mass-produced Nikke on the report. I'll have Shifty keep quiet on her true nature and keep an eye on her, I'll assume you'll do the same?"
"For now. As much as I hate the central government breathing down my neck, I won't keep quiet if she does become an enemy."
"I understand...Now, let's talk about this Holy Grail…"
Dormitory, Outpost
Commander Pov
…Wow. I get that they treat Nikkes like second class citizens, but this is just…
"Agh! You can't be serious right now!" Anis looks ready to kill someone over her new assigned living arrangement. "I mean, I get that we destroyed that place, but even this is too much!"
"We don't even have water…" Neon whines.
Looking towards Rapi, even she has an unsure look on her face.
"Wait, don't tell me we all have to share this place! We still need privacy!" I'd appreciate it if you didn't look at me while saying that, I didn't choose for this to happen.
"...Commander?"
"Don't worry, I have my own room."
"Take us there!" Woah! What's with the sudden intensity from Neon? "There is something I'd like to see!"
"Uh…Sure?"
The distance between the two rooms is insignificant, three floors to be exact. However, the difference in quality is noticeably significant.
"No fair!" …They really went all out, I didn't even have enough space for a couch in my old dorm.
The sound of running water catches my ears as we all look towards Neon, who had wandered into my bathroom while we looked over the room.
"I see…" Neon turns the shower off, returning with a strange look in her eye. "Master, there is something very important I have to request."
"Yes, Commander. Very important…" Anis too?!
They approach me slowly, unnerving me more with each step. "If it's within my power, I'll see what I can do…"
""Then, SWITCH WITH US!""
"Wha-"
"You wouldn't leave us in that room, would you Master?"
"Both of you, stop it." Rapi! My savior! "We are Nikkes, we don't need luxu-"
"We might be Nikkes, but we still have needs! Commander! The needs of the many outweigh the few, you understand right?" I hear Rapi sigh at her insistence, but even I can't help but agree with her reasons.
"I don't agree with that sentiment, Miss Anis." Saber finally speaks up. "You are a soldier, such luxuries are pointless."
"Easy for you to say! You're a ghost, but we still need to keep ourselves clean, y'know!"
Before the situation can escalate further, I finally cut in. "Ahem. While I can't switch rooms with you all, I can at least let you use my bathroom while I look for someone to renovate your room. So please, don't fight over something so pointless."
""YES! I call going first! No, I do! No! I said…""
'…Honestly.' I let out a small sigh at their antics.
"Was that truly wise, Master?"
"I agree. You shouldn't spoil them so much, they'll only continue asking for more."
"I disagree. If it weren't for you guys, I wouldn't be here right now. I wouldn't call it spoiling either, just a small reward for the work you all put in."
"I see, then perhaps you should leave? I do not believe they would be pleased to shower while you're still here, Master."
Oh, right.
Outside the Command Center
'...This isn't so bad, right?' Leaning against the wall, I stare at the sky, the real sky, not a pre-generated version. 'It isn't perfect, but what is?'
"I must say, it is rather…disheartening to see the planet in such ruins." Saber says from beside me.
"You're a hero from a bygone era, right? When was that? Was it before the rapture invasion?" I ask, throwing her an interested glance.
"Yes. I believe they called my time, the 13th century." If I was currently drinking something, I'm sure I would have spit it out. 'That's like almost a thousand years…'
"Then, how is it possible that you understand us?" Rapi? How long has she been here?
"Only for a short while, Commander." Woah, I didn't know Nikke's could read minds. "We can't." How did… " Your facial expressions are very telling of what you're thinking." Oh.
"Rapi, was it?" Rapi looks back at Saber, giving her a slight nod. "The answer to your question is simple. The Holy Grail provides me with information on this era, which just so happens to include the language you all speak."
"...I see." Clearly satisfied with that answer, Rapi turns back to me. "Commander. Can we talk?"
"Sure..?"
"Alone?"
"Oh, uh…Saber…could you? Y'know…" I ask, trying not to be rude.
"Of course, call for me if something happens." In almost an instant, she disappears with a glow.
"Woah…"
"Commander."
"Y-Yes?"
"I'd like for something to be clear. We Nikke are not human." What? Where is this coming from? "Yet, you treat us as if we were. However, we were made to be weapons, formidable and near-unkillable soldiers for dispatching mankind's sworn enemy. The Raptures." I feel a sudden weight on my chest, whether it's from the current subject or something else…I don't know. "Tell me Commander. Am I wrong?"
"No. You're not." The weight only increases as time passes, and a sudden feeling of heat speeds throughout my body. "How…ever, I don't agree with…wi…" My legs go weak as I collapse to the ground, and my body tries to compute with the overbearing painful heat.
"Commander!" I hear Rapi yell from beside me, but I'm unable to properly listen to what else she says.
'It hurts…It feels like my blood's boiling, no my entire body feels like it's on…on fire..?' Feeling some of the heat subside, I am greeted to the same ringing in my ears as before.
'Master! Master! Can you hear me? Nod if you can.' I nod, once I hear Saber's voice in my mind. 'Then, repeat after me.'
' "Let silver and steel be the essence.
Let stone and the archduke of contracts be the foundation.
Let rise a wall against the wind that shall fall
Let the four cardinal gates close.
Let the three-forked road from the crown reaching unto the Kingdom rotate.
I hereby declare.
Your body shall serve under me.
My fate shall be your sword.
Submit to the beckoning of the Holy Grail
If you will submit to this will and this reason…Then answer!
An oath shall be sworn here!
I shall attain all virtues of all of Heaven.
I shall have dominion over all evils of all of Hell!
Yet, though serves with thine eyes clouded in chaos
Thou, bound in the cage of madness.
I am he who command these chaos.
From the Seventh Heaven, attended to by three greet words of power,
Come forth from the ring of restraints,
Protector of the Holy Balance!" '
I am blinded from the bright glow in front of me. The blinding light is short-lived as a figure appears from the summoning…At least I think it was a summoning.
Contract with Servant Complete.
Berserker Summoned.
The ringing in my ears and the heat go away almost instantly after I stand up. Looking back at the new summoned hero, I notice their cold cutting blue eyes staring at both Saber and I. The veil over her face did little to hide the glare she was throwing at Saber. "I see now. You could never keep your hands away from what was rightfully mine."
"Wha-"
"You seem different, Morgan." Saber says, standing in front of us protectively.
The now named Morgan, looks at her with clear contempt, before directing her stare at me. "Impressive, such a large pool of mana. You shouldn't have, my husband." …Eh?
Before anyone else can speak, the summoning golden glow reappears beside us. Only for it to flicker, then dim, then completely fade out of existence.
Summoning Failed.
Attempting Once More.
The ground glows golden again, only to instantly disappear.
Summoning Failed.
Attempting An Alternate Method.
The glow reappears, this time however, it is placed right under my feet.
Class Card Install/Include Feature Unlocked.
Installing Shielder Class Servant…
Once the glow dies down, I feel my body get heavier..? Lighter? I can't quite put my finger on it just yet. "That shield! That is Galahad!"
'Huh, shie-woah! Where the hell did this come from?!'
Install Complete.
Instead of the military uniform provided for every Commander, I was now wearing a full set of armor, except a helmet. In my hands was a large shield, in the shape of a t.
"Okay…Can one of you explain what the hell is going on?!" Despite the others sudden appearance, I can't help but agree.
Commander's Room
"So, you're telling me…that not only did the Commander summon another Servant, but he became one as well?!" Anis paces around the room, trying to calm herself down, to no avail. 'I guess I did?'
"Not necessarily." Saber says from beside me on the couch. "I believe that the Holy Grail attempted to summon more servants, to take the burden off its host. Fortunately, it was unsuccessful in its attempts."
"Fortunately? Why, fortunately?" Rapi asks.
"I do not believe that the Master could handle the strain of having more summoned servants on his soul." My…soul?
"Hold on, wasn't it successful? I mean, look at him!" …This armor is surprisingly comfortable while sitting.
"N-No…At least, I do not believe so…" Saber replies, sounding incredibly unsure.
"Is this truly the best you can do, sister?"
'Wait. Sister? They're siblings? Actually I can kinda see it now that I get a better look at Miss Morgan…Ah, crap, she noticed my staring…'
"Judging by the information provided and so logical conclusions, I would assume that the summoning failed, but the Grail found another method. A much weaker method, but still enough to reduce the burden of possessing the Grail." She stared back at me the whole time. "Oh, and, My husband? I do not mind if you stare at me. In fact, you have my express permission to do so." …Ah…I want to slam my head against the wall from the sheer embarrassment.
""HUSBAND?!""
'That's all you guys got from that?!'
"Tell me, was I correct in my assumption?"
"I'm sorry, but I couldn't really tell you." I avert my gaze in slight embarrassment, but then the summoning comes to mind again. "...Actually, everytime I summoned a servant, I heard a voice in my head."
"What would it say? Was it about firepower?"
"Not everything's about firepower, you idiot." I almost chuckle at Anis and Neon's antics again, before I realize I was still in a relatively serious conversation.
"...It would tell me the servant contract was complete, and the servant's class. During this last one, it said something about Class Card Installation…or something like that." It was all happening so fast that I almost forgot.
"Interesting. My Husband, if you would give me your hand, I will look it over."
"Master, do not listen to her. She is a Witch and has access to a great many deal of curses. Who knows of what she may do."
"So cautious. I suppose that half-wit incubus had to pummel that into you after Mordred, didn't he?" She spits out the word incubus with a great amount of hate. "Actually, how was it? To be betrayed by your own knight?" Wow…she is really antagonistic to Saber.
"Morgan! You Witch!" Saber stands up, her armor and invisible sword remanifesting.
"...Hey, let's cal-"
Morgan disappears and reappears behind me, wrapping her arm around my neck, ln a more friendly manner than i am comfortable with. "Come now, Artoria. Can't you see our Master is displeased with your behavior?"
Saber was now pointing her sword in our direction, and she wasn't happy in the slightest. "Step away from him, you harlot!"
Even the Nikke are on gaurd. "That's enou-"
"Resorting to name calling now? I suppose you never truly matured after pulling the sword out. A child who lead the kingdom to ruin, I suppose that's all you are." Her sword is start to shine…
"Commander! Your orders?!" Damn it…
"Master, please use your shield!" This is all so…
So Pointless.
With my right hand starting to glow, I make my decision.
"Alright. Enough! All of you, sit down."
To Be Continued
Uh oh, not the two pendragon sisters…I totally don't see anything bad happening in the future because of them, nope.
Morgan looks like the Fgo Morgan, but obviously doesn't have lb6 memories, because that'd be impossible. That's why she's a lot more emotional, unlike the really aloof one we get in fgo.
Had to include Galahad as a Install Servant Card, cuz it make the most sense. I mean the Commander has the Grail and Galahad has the title of Knight of the Grail. So makes the most sense.
Also! I have not yet decided on which other servants the Commander will summon. But I do know what he won't summon. Males. I know…You guys probably wanted Gil, Emiya, or Cu to be summoned right? Well, too bad! That doesn't mean he can't install them like he did Galahad tho.
For now, I have decided on how many more servants he will summon. 14 more. And he will install one per class. So basically…
He Will Summon (Only Females)
Saber: Artoria Pendragon and Undecided.
Archer: Undecided and Undecided.
Lancer: Undecided and Undecided.
Rider: Undecided and Undecided.
Caster: Undecided and Undecided.
Assassin: Undecided and Undecided.
Berserker: Morgan Le Fay and Undecided.
Extra Class: Undecided and Undecided.
He will install (Any Gender, preferably Males)
Saber: Undecided.
Archer: I won't say.
Lancer: I won't say.
Rider: I won't say.
Caster: I won't say.
Assassin: I won't say.
Berserker: Undecided.
Extra Class: Galahad.
Give me a suggestion on who he might summon, and I'll think about putting them in.
For now tho? Peace out.
