Chapter 3 Valentine's day
Jake's POV
As I woke up early Izzy was taking a bath, and Cubby was with Stormy, I got started on getting the hideout decorated with Valentine's day decorations like pink and red streamers, heart-shaped balloons, etc.
As I saw Izzy, I got my gift out from under my bed.
"Hey my love want to exchange our Valentine's day gifts with each other?" I asked.
"Sure, Jake let me just dry my hair first." Izzy told me.
"Oh, okay. Also, could you keep your hair down for this special day please?" I wanted to know.
"Aww, but Jake I thought you loved my pigtails." Izzy thought.
"I do love your pigtails Iz, but this is a special day and well your hair is beautiful when it's down." I told her.
"Okay, I'll keep it down. Now, what did you get me for Valentine's Day?" Izzy asked as she was really eager to know.
"Whoa, slow your horses, it's coming." I said.
As we got our basket from behind us, we exchanged them with each other.
"Here you go!" Izzy and I both said at the same time as we then laughed.
"I made you a box of chocolate bars, with our picture on top of it." Izzy said as I hugged her.
"Thank you Izzy." I thanked her.
"Now, what did you get me?" Izzy wanted to know.
"I actually didn't get you anything." I exclaimed.
"What?" Izzy wanted to know.
"Kidding! I did get you your Valentine's gift. I got you a basket of chocolates, sweets, J20 and a teddy bear." I told her.
"YOU ALMOST MADE ME CRY, WHEN YOU SAID YOU DIDN'T GET ANYTHING FOR ME ON VALENTINE'S DAY!" Izzy snapped.
"Relax, Izzy please." I said as she calmed down a bit.
"Sorry, Jake." Izzy apologized.
"It's cool." I answered as we hugged and kissed each other, as well.
Cubby's POV
It was a wonderful day for me, because I get to spend Valentine's Day with my mermaid girl yay. But before I get to spend it with her, I have already made her a Valentine's Day card to where we first met, to where we had our first kiss and to where we had our first date.
"Here you go Stormy, I hope you love it, it's a card I made. It shows you where we first met, where we had our first date, where we first had our first kiss." I explained the card.
"I love the card, thank you. I also got you a new map." Stormy said as she gave me a new map as we hugged each other.
After that we went into the kitchen to bake heart sugar cookies.
Izzy's POV
As I was putting some ideas on a lolly ice stick for dates, I placed them in a jar.
Jake's POV
"Ooh a jar! Let's see what it says." I exclaimed to myself as I pulled out a lolly ice stick.
"It says go on a picnic." I read the lolly ice stick as Izzy got the picnic basket all set.
"Sweet, I'm going on a picnic with my Pirate girl." I said with excitement.
"Jake, I'm your only girl." Izzy told me as she dragged me out of the hideout and onto the beach of Pirate Island.
"So, we're having our picnic on Pirate Island. And you better like it Jake." Izzy said as I nodded.
"Anyway, since you're done yelling at me, here is another teddy bear with a bouquet of roses attached to it." I exclaimed.
"Aww, Jake I love it, thanks!" Izzy thanked me with a kiss on my cheek.
"And I made you something Jake." Izzy said as she pulled me up and dragged me to a booth.
"Izzy, why is there a booth here?" I wanted to know as I was curious.
"I made us a kissing booth.* Izzy answered.
"Wow, a kissing booth. This should be interesting." I said.
"Come on!" Izzy exclaimed as she went behind the booth.
"Thank you for coming to the kissing booth, may I please see your ticket?" Izzy asked as I handed her the ticket.
"Name?" Izzy asked.
"Jake Hutchinson." I answered
"Age?" Izzy exclaimed.
"Izzy, we're both the same age. I'm not answering that.
"Age?!" Izzy wanted to know again.
"16." I answered.
"Have you kissed anyone before?" Izzy exclaimed.
"Yes! Literally, you!" I answered.
"Hmmm, it appears to me that you really want to kiss me don't you?" Izzy exclaimed.
"Why else would you stand behind a kissing booth, Izzy?' I wanted to know.
"Oh for crying out loud, come here!" Izzy said as she grabbed my white shirt and we kissed.
After our long kiss, Izzy and i finally had the picnic of our dreams outside of the hideout.
"Isn't this nice? Just you, me no kids around bothering us 24/7 no crying. No Mommy I want this Mommy I want that. Daddy can I do this? Or Daddy can I do that?" I told her.
"Yeah. But I miss them though." Izzy exclaimed.
"Iz, this is our time. Stop thinking about the kids for a while." I said.
"Fine. Do you want a grape?" Izzy wanted to know.
"Hit me!" I said as she threw a grape up in the air as I caught it with my mouth.
"Beautiful!" Izzy said.
"Okay your turn." I said as she got ready as I threw three grapes up in the air but she didn't catch a single one.
"You didn't even catch a single one." I said.
"Want to share one drink of my blackcurrant?" I asked as she nodded.
As I grabbed a glass bottle of my blackcurrant and two straws, and shared the drink.
"Cheers, to the start of a great Valentine's day picnic. I love you my Pirate Queen-Izzy bella." I said as she then kissed me on my nose.
"Aww, come here you cutie!" I said as I tackled her to the sand and made out with her.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhh, Jake stop your making me laugh hahahahahaha." Izzy laughed.
"Hey, Izzy, I made you a deck of cards that says 52 reasons why I love you." I exclaimed as she got emotional while taking the cards.
"Thanks Jake, you're the best." Izzy told me with a big hug.
Izzy's POV
Once Jake and I had our little fun together, we went back inside the hideout so I can start writing in my bullet journal and create a playlist for Jake called songs that remind me of you. I started with adding six songs into the playlist, and ended it with two more songs. In the middle of my playlist making, I also made Jake notes for him in a jar which is why I love him, and remember when…. lyrics. Alongside of this, I also wrote Jake a love letter to remind him how much I love him. And a scrapbook of all our journeys we had together from the day we met.
Jake's POV
I made letters for Izzy to open for when she is overthinking, when she needs to smile, when she misses me, or when she's having a bad day.
Cubby's POV
As I was in the living room writing love notes to Stormy, I was thinking of some really good ones. I wrote a lot of love notes for her until the 14th of February.
Izzy's POV
As I was done with making Jake the playlist, I turned to face Jake as I saw him holding a Hello Kitty toy in front of his face. And I loved it as I took the toy and hugged it.
"Thanks Jake." I thanked him.
"Oh but it gets even better, Iz, we are going to a fancy restaurant together." Jake said as I got up and hugged him as we both landed on the ground laughing.
"Okay, let's get ready for our Valentine's day dinner." I told him as we got up from the floor and went to get ready.
As we were done getting ready, Izzy grabbed her purse as we went to the restaurant I booked for the two of us.
Once we entered the restaurant, Izzy and I was holding hands and went to get our seats.
"Hello, may I please have your last name?" The waiter asked.
"Under Hutchinson, sir." I told him.
"Ah but of course, Hutchinson Jake, am I correct?" The waiter wanted to know as I nodded my head yes.
"Yes, sir, that is correct." I said.
"Follow me." The waiter exclaimed as Izzy as I followed him to a private area that I booked.
"Here we are sir." The waiter told me.
"Thanks!" I thanked him.
"Yeah, thank you." Izzy thanked him as well.
As I pushed Izzy's seat in after she sat down, I went to the other side of the table and sat across from her while we were looking at the menu.
"So, what will you be ordering this evening, The waiter asked?"
"Oh, I'll be having spaghetti and meatballs with sauce. What about you, my queen?" I answered.
"I'll take spaghetti and Bolognese." Izzy exclaimed.
"Okay, I'll be back with your dishes." The waiter said as he left.
Once the waiter left, Izzy and I started to have a conversation about our lives, our relationship, our kids and future.
"So, Jake, how does it feel to have me as a girlfriend?" Izzy wanted to know.
"It feels wonderful to have you as my girlfriend. I mean, if it wasn't for me, you would have been dead if you were still in a coma. I'll be heart broken if you weren't around Iz." I said.
"But you woke me up, with a kiss and two weeks after my leg surgery, we became a couple." Izzy explained.
"Yes, yes we did, and I couldn't be happier." I answered.
"Now how do you feel with our three beautiful cute kids?" I asked.
"It's like a dream come true. You know? We started out with Princess, then baby Jay, and now Baby Jasmine." Izzy said as I nodded.
"And I can't wait to see what the future holds for us." I told her.
"I agree with you, Jakey. Maybe when we are married and out of school, we can talk about having a child in the near future." Izzy exclaimed.
"I would love to be a father again, in the near future when we get even older Iz." I said.
"Look, our food is here." Izzy said as our food was now on the table.
"Enjoy your meal!" The waiter exclaimed as he left.
"How are you enjoying your dinner?" I asked.
"It's really good. And you?"" Izzy told me.
"I'm enjoying my dish." I exclaimed
Izzy's POV
"Dealing with three kids, is hard work." I explained.
"Must I remind you that when we were 10, we had to deal with Princess all day?" Jake reminded me.
"Yeah, with her crying every night, 24/7 and waking us up." I told him.
"Don't get me started on Baby Jay next or baby Jasmine." Jake exclaimed.
"Hahahaha, those two are a handful." I said.
"Yes they are, but we love them." Jake said.
"Oh Baby Jay and baby Jasmine? They're fine. I was actually referring to our little brother Cubby." I told him.
"Ooh, burn." Jake exclaimed as we then kissed.
After we were done with our meal, the waiter came over.
"Would you like some dessert?" The waiter asked.
"Yes, please I would love to have some chocolate crunch." Jake said.
"And I'll take Chocolate cake with raspberries on the side, please." I told him as he left.
Jake's POV
Once the waiter left, I got down on one knee and took out a black box.
"Wait, Jake, isn't it a little too early to propose to me? I mean we're not ready for that yet." Izzy thought that I was proposing.
"Izzy, this is a promise ring. Now, will you promise me that no matter what happens in the future, we will always stay together and always be there for each other?" I asked.
(Izzy crying and sniffing)
"Yes, I promise." Izzy said as she got emotional while I started to put the promise ring on her finger as we then hugged along with one big kiss.
"Once our dessert came, Izzy was happy to see her piece of chocolate cake with raspberry on the side.
"Oh boy, chocolate cake!" Izzy said as she immediately ate it.
"You and chocolate cake." I exclaimed.
"Hey, I just love chocolate cake." Izzy told me.
"Oh, yeah, I remember when we were little, you had chocolate cake all over your face." I said.
"Like how you have chocolate crumbs, on your face right now?" Izzy pointed out.
As I took the napkin holder, Izzy was right. I did have chocolate crumbs all over my face.
"Aww, man." I said disappointed.
Cubby's POV
As I was getting ready for my Valentine's Day date dinner with Stormy, I was in the middle of making spaghetti Bolognese while Stormy was standing next to me.
"So, my knight and shining armor, what do you think our future will hold for the two of us?" Stormy wanted to know.
"Well, basically everything. And I can't wait to spend them with you, my mermaid queen." I exclaimed.
"Okay, like what?" Stormy asked.
"Well, you know how Jake and Izzy are in college together?" I reminded her.
"Yes, I am aware of that." Stormy answered.
"Well, I want us in college together. But to be honest I'm being homeschooled I said.
"So, what you're saying is that you want me to be homeschooled?" Stormy jokes.
"Okay, you've been spending too much time with Izzy." I told her.
"And you have been spending too much time with Jake." Stormy told me as we took a pause than laughed.
Once the spaghetti and Bolognese was ready, I took two plates out of the cabinet and started to dish them onto them.
"So, what else do you want to happen in the future?" Storky wanted to know.
"Well, proposing to you when we get older, and maybe having our own kids as well." Intold her.
"Aww, Cubby you're making me cry." Stormy said as I got up from the table, walked up to her and immediately started to shush her.
"Hey, hey I'm here I'm here, now is it tears of joy?' I wanted to know from my girlfriend.
"Ye, yes." Stormy replied.
"Aww baby come here." I said I started to hug her tight.
"Hey, it's going to be okay. Take deep breaths." I told her as she did.
"That's it, Stormy, good girl. Are you finished with your dinner?" I exclaimed.
"Yes, can we have dessert now pretty please my Cubby Wubby?" Stormy asked.
"Sure." I answered as I took our empty plates and placed them in the dishwasher.
Once our dishes were in the dishwasher, I went to the oven and took out the heart shaped sugar cookies we made earlier.
"Did someone order some heart shaped sugar cookies?" I asked as Stormy raised her hand.
"Hahaha, I'm so funny." I said.
"Yes, yes you are my cutie teenage pirate." Stormy exclaimed as we kissed then hugged.
"Hey, I have an idea let's go into the living room and watch a romantic Valentine's day movie." I suggested.
"That's a great idea, Cubby. But, can you carry me to the couch bridal style? Because my legs are tired of walking.
"Why certainly my lady." I said as I lifted Stormy into my arms bridal style and carried her to the living room and placed my girl on the couch.
"I'll go make some popcorn!" I told my girl as I kissed her forehead.
Stormy's POV
As I was scrolling through the movies, I saw a really interesting movie called A Valentine Carol.
"Huh, I think this movie would be interesting to watch with my cute and adorable boyfriend." I said as Cubby came back with the popcorn.
"Wow, that was fast." I exclaimed.
"Well to be honest, you can't let popcorn burn. So I had to watch it. Anyway, romantic movie, did you pay for this special occasion for us?" Cubby asked.
"A valentine Carol." I told him as he looked at the release year.
"It says that the movie came out in 2007, and it's 2023." Cubby reminded me.
"Oh, stop complaining and watch the movie with me." I said.
While Cubby and I were watching the movie, he placed a giant teddy bear on my lap.
"Happy Valentine's Day!" Cubby said as I took the giant teddy bear in my arms, got close to Cubby and snuggled on his chest while continuing watching the movie.
