Chapter 5 Jake's 17th Birthday
Jake's POV
As I was the only one up, I walked downstairs into the kitchen, and saw that it was all decorated which I believe Izzy and Cubby worked on last night. There were balloons, on the ceiling, on the door there was banner saying 'Happy 17th Birthday Jake' with another banner saying 'THIS LEGEND WAS BORN IN 2006 LIMITED EDITION' Once I was still looking at all of the decorations in the kitchen, I saw Izzy and Cubby coming.
"Happy birthday, Jake!" They both wished me a happy b-day.
"Thanks, Maties! Let's go check out the other things you guys and the kids got me." I told them as I was really excited.
"Wow, someone is excited." I heard Cubby say while Izzy nodded.
Once we arrived into the living room I saw gifts that were from my kids along with Cubby and Izzy. There was also a huge helium balloon saying 17, banners that said 'Happy 17th birthday Jake, with a banner happy birthday banner. There was another banner that said 'Be an adult but never grow up'
Izzy's POV
As I was creating a playlist for Jake's 17th birthday with seventeen songs in them, there was also pictures of my boyfriend on the wall next to his 17 balloons.
I was now writing in my bullet journal a playlist for Jake's birthday, songs that describe him.
Jake's POV
Not only were there more banners and gifts, but there were also streamers on the walls and a buffet table.
Cubby's POV
"Wow Cubby you baked me a cake, that says 17 on top along with drivers items on it. Such as traffic lights, road signs, and plates." Jake exclaimed.
Izzy made Jake a box with sweets inside along with Vans shoes.
I got Jake pizza, but instead of real pizza, it's money.
"Money!" Jake exclaimed.
"Okay slow your roll, Monopoly man." Izzy told her boyfriend.
"But I want the money." Jake exclaimed while he was trying to go for the pizza box that had the money inside.
"You'll get the money after the party." Izzy said.
"Okay." Jake agreed.
Peter put together a huge 17 sign with balloons inside them, and Jake's gifts on the bottom. Izzy starts to put on Jake's playlist and his playlist starts to play while we talk about Jake being 17 today.
"So, Jake, how does it feel to be 17?" Izzy asked while starting the conversation.
"It feels strange, that I'm actually seventeen. Feels like just yesterday it was my last day being 16." Jake answered.
"Uh, Jake, that was yesterday." I told him as we all laughed.
"Whoops." Jake exclaimed.
Izzy's POV
Later on, I started to set up the LED lights in the living room while we were waiting for our guests to arrive so we could celebrate Jake's 17th birthday. The drinks on the refreshments table were J20, Coca Cola, Pepsi, Max, and wine. The food were pizza, sandwiches, chicken nuggets, garlic bread, cupcakes, doughnuts, and more.
Once Jake's guests arrived, Jake started to open his presents from everyone.
Jake's POV
As I started to open my gifts from everyone, they were really nice and awesome! But the best gift I got was new shoes from my girlfriend Izzy.
"Wow, Vans shoes! Thanks Izzy!" I thanked her as we kissed.
"Aww, anytime my handsome prince." Izzy told me.
After I was done opening my presents from everyone, we all started to take pictures using Izzy's polaroid camera and Disposable camera.
"Everyone say happy 17th birthday Jake!" Izzy said as she put a timer on both her cameras.
"HAPPY 17th BIRTHDAY JAKE!" Everyone said minus me as I smiled.
"Now it's time for the birthday teenager to make a wish, and blow out his 17 candles." Mr. Smee exclaimed as Izzy brought over cake.
"I wish this party never ended." I whispered as I blew out my candles.
"Oh wait, shouldn't we have the other foods forst, before the cake?" Bones wanted to know.
"Yeah!" We all said as everyone including myself ran to the buffet and grabbed almost everything.
"Hey, at least you got to make a wish and blow out your candles Jake." Cubby told me as I smiled.
"Yeah, true." I answered.
"Hey, Jake, why not make a speech on your special day." Pip suggested.
"Um, okay." I told him as I got up.
"Well, I just want to say that this birthday of mine is off to a great start. When I first came to Neverland, I never knew that my life would change forever. Neverland is home, this is where I met many friends over the years. But most importantly, this is where I met Izzy, and fell in love as years went by. I never knew what love was until I realized that every Adventure I spent with Izzy were great ones and bad ones. But the best adventure I had was everything with her. And I'll make it to spend more adventures with Izzy as we grow old together. So cheers to my 17th birthday!" I exclaimed as we raised our glasses.
"Cheers to Jake's 17th birthday." They all cheered.
