Chapter 2: Ragna The Bloodedge

[Fuyuki city: Singularity F]

I woke up in a whole different place. I was on the ground and my surroundings were on fire. This place is deserted…No, it's more like this place, this city, it doesn't hold a single soul, a single life, they are all extinguished.

I looked around searching for Mash and Fou but neither of them were nearby. This is not good, Mash legs are in no condition to walk let alone stand, I must find her before something bad happens to her.

I heard noises behind me and saw an army of… skeletons?! "What the hell?" I say before evading an incoming attack from them.

I better take them out right here right now! I put myself on guard, Raising My sword toward them and then I say

"Bring It On!"

ACTION!

The one thing that I learned is that I was unbelievably strong.

The moment my punch connects to one of those creatures, they flew toward a building, crashing to it. The rest of the skeletons were immobile for a moment, looking were their comrade landed.

When they turn their toward me, I could see a look of fear. Still, they march towards me and attack.

It maybe just me but they look so slow. I dodge their attacks with ease. Sidestep, duck, jump. Then I block and parry.

This fight was one sided.

it didn't even take me 30 seconds to defeat them all.

(Burning Fuyuki city)

I don't know how much time passed but damn I feel tired, no wonder since I haven't exercised since the moment I woke up.

Still, it seems I remember how to fight, that's good.

I looked up and saw a hailstorm of arrows right coming at me.

My body moves on its own and dodge the first ones that explode.

Sh*t! This is bad! I need to go under a Roof or something. I start running to run and dodge but the arrows are getting harder to evade.

But then I slip. "Wha-?!" I fell down hard on the ground and didn't have time to stand up.

It looks like this is it.

"I'm sorry Mash…" I just said with regret.

then I saw in my mind two people in my mind, crying and screaming at me like they were never going to see me again.

"Who...are you?"

I look up and lo behold it was her.

After Mash protects me from the hailstorm of EXPLOSIVE arrows, we decide to change the area because we don't know if the enemy is still here.

I ask Mash about her outfit and shield.

Mash told me that she became a demi-servant. When I was about to ask, the communication device Romani gave started to resound.

A holographic image appear in the air and Doctor Romani is here.

We discussed about our surrounding, about what to Chaldea and the masters, about the director and finally.

"WHA-WHAT ARE YOU WEARING MASH?! I DIDN'T RAISE YOU SHAMELESSLY!?"

"On your condition? what are you… wait those numbers, it can't be!?"

"Chaldea six experiment it finally success"

"What do we do now Doctor?" I ask.

"I Suggest that you go find a Ley Line" he said "we'll have better communication there, there is one near you a few kilometers

We decided to go towards this Ley line. I ask mash about what she means by "Servant".

From what she told me, Servants are Heroic Spirit (Heroes from the past) that are summoned to fight in a Holy Grail War.

The Holy Grail War is some sort of competition to gain the Holy Grail grant a wish. supposedly it is not from Christian story.

And they needed seven servants, each with their own classes.

Saber, the servant of the sword.

Archer the servant of the bow

Lancer the servant of the spear

Caster the servant of magic

Rider the servant of the mount

Assassin the servant of killing.

And Berserker the servant of madness

These are the official servant, and each one of them are very strong.

Since they are from the past, their legend shape who they are now.

From what are you heard this singularity supposedly came from the fifth holy grail war, one that the directors father won.

But now somethings change, and this singularity is just the beginning.

"Ragna-san?" I heard Mash calling me." Are you OK? I know it's a very long explanation but…"

"No don't worry I understand but still, this is quite a mess up."

"I agree" said the doctor "But we have to do this if not, the humanity will face extinction."

"Yeah, first thing first let's meet up with the Director and her companion to that bridge."

We also encounter some enemies, but they're easy to deal with. The doctor told me to take the material of the defeated enemy, say that they could be useful for something. I don't know why, but I trust him.

"Is it just me or are we getting stronger?" I say while flexing my arm.

"You're not wrong Ragna-san, it's strange however a servant should have their strength already imprinted in them." Mash responds.

We ponder what that means but maybe it's to leave it like this for now. We are near the location. Almost there.

"Hmm? Hey, there is something strange over there." I spoke.

Maybe it's just me but I think I'm seeing…status?

We approached there and saw what I described as a Sea of Statues.

What is this those Statues feel too lifelike… I have a bad feeling about this.

Wow! Had I not felt the killing instinct, those chain would capture me.

"Who's there?!" I yell toward the direction where the chain came from.

there I saw a woman coming out, she holds a small scythe hanging in chain, has purple hair and a body many would kill for.

Her smile reminds me of a snake, it pissed me of.

"fufufufu and I thought there were no more human beings around here colour me surprised..." says the woman still smiling

"I am lancer, a servant of the holy grail war... or shouldn't I say former holy grail war."

"! Lancer?! Be careful Master! That is not an enemy you can fight!" Said Mash while putting her shield in front of us.

So that's a servant. I can clearly see why she is weary, but I feel like she is underestimating me.

Well, nothing like the present to prove her wrongs!

"Now die" said the snake bitch.

gripping my sword in two hands I start running towards her and slash.

That snake bitch manages to dodge but I wasn't done yet. I then transformed my sword into a scythe, little bitch was unprepared for this and received the attack.

she grips the part slash while I feel more vigour. Those red ball that came out of her after I use my scythe... I wonder what they were.

"Get you * * * * how dare you! a human like you should not be able to fight me at even ground…" set Lancer while gripping her arm.

"Amazing Ragna-san is so strong… he is evenly match against a servant…" I heard Mash said.

She may say that, but I could feel it she's holding back why… no wait can't be.

"Mash get out of the way!" I scream but it was too late Mash was trapped in those chain.

Damn it what do I do now.
