CHAPTER 4: All Eyes On YOU
Alright, need of note. This Capella is a lot more different than my initial take on the character, less so gung ho, and more methodical and premeditative, a solid upgrade with more of a developing effect rather than an instant obsession. That and... I'm not going wild on smuts, sorry, throw your tomatoes but it has to happen for the sake of groundedness. It won't all be gone and plain, there will be smut, just not as much and in more controlled ways. If you want some dommy mommy Cappy, look elsewhere... or wait until I'm done and make a spin-off fix for dommy mommy Cappy... On To The Chapter!
The wheels of the carriages creaked along as Ferris stared down at the sleeping boy, looking to the maid next to him before once again staring at Subaru. To do the inspection... he had to remove clothing, which in all honesty was not because of Rem, but because of what Subaru would think knowing he was exposed to Rem in such a state, something Ferris knew the boy would skin him for.
He nervously looked at the maid, catching her attention with his gaze alone.
"... Could you perhaps... look in the other direction please?" He asked as professionally as he could as Rem realised what he was on about.
"Rem has seen it before." She said calmly, completely oblivious as to how... creepy that sounded.
"... It's a professional practices thing, privacy you know?" He said as Rem again kept her gaze. After a few minutes, the maid relented, turning the other way.
Taking a sigh of relief, Ferris turned back to his patient, slowly looking around Subaru's face to start off. He opened his mouth, checking that his tongue and teeth were intact, in case she'd tried to silence him in a more... physical way.
After finding nothing, Ferris moved onto his nose, checking that it wasn't broken or damaged, moving it to check the cartilage was intact. After that, he moved up to the boy's eyes. He opened the boy's right eyelid, watching as his sharp, brown eye shirked away from the light, his pupil shrinking. His attention moved to the next.
He repeated the process, slowly opening the left eyelid and...
"... O-Oh Od..." He said quietly in shock as he looked stared at the organ, a crimson, unnaturally red tinted pupil staring right back. Rem turned in distress after hearing his soft horror, and immediately felt her own dose of disgust and anger creep up her spine.
Capella had taken his left eye, and had replaced it with her own, an idea so deranged, so violently unhinged and so disregarding of morals and others that it left both the doctor and the maid mortified.
Ferris let go of the eyelid as the eye closed, shutting away the horrors planted in the boy's skull. He needed to do a full body check now, lest they want any worse surprises arising.
He didn't even ask Rem to turn away as he carefully began to strip Subaru down to his underwear, uncovering past scars of bites, slashes, and a large cut along his stomach.
However, the thing that caught their eye was the black heart on his left peck, but the heart wasn't the usual cutesy symbol that most could doodle, it was a real, black outline of a heart, right above his own, with a large, finely drawn C on the lower parts of the organ.
The sight of it made Rem boil with anger, her silent hatred growing ever so rapidly as Ferris gave him a once over, putting the clothes back on. He didn't have the heart to check his privates with Rem's hatred boiling behind him, no, that would wait.
The ride back to the now rebuilt Roswaal mansion was a long and grating one, the sight of the unnatural eye bothering both the oni and catboy on loop, tearing away at their minds. But after a long time, the carriages screeched to a halt, feet planting themselves on the ground as Ricardo hopped out of the other carriage, heading to the opposite carriage and reaching inside.
"Hey there, gonna grab the little man for ya." He said as he lowered the latch on the back, scooping the boy laid across the floorboards, feeling that the stares he received were ones that screamed bad news.
"Oh boy. Tell it around the others, I'm terrible at secrets..." He said as he moved Subaru around in his grip, moving towards the mansion entrance as Rem and Ferris stepped out and followed the dogman.
It was a quiet trip inside, even as the rest gave off their own sounds of celebration, unaware of the horrors that awaited them.
They walked throughout the mansion halls, Rem having gone off to inform the other residents of the mansion so that they could all hear what occurred on the mission.
While Ferris headed to the dining hall with the others, Ricardo diverged, heading towards Subaru's room to place him in his bed when he ran into Petra, and ultimately ended up bringing him to the dining hall as well.
As everyone gathered around, that being the mansion staff, Roswaal, Meili, and the members of the Emilia camp, Ferris stood at the front alongside the rest of the rescue team, Rem taking the side of her sister while Julius stepped away, Emilia moving towards the rest as Ferris was left standing alone with Ricardo, Subaru in hand.
The eyes dug through the two as Ferris was sweating bullets, feeling like he was about to seal his own doom. The pressure kept building as his breath grew shallower, swallowing his fear and taking a deep breath...
