Episode 4: Forgiveness

Catra stood in a vast sea of darkness, an endless expanse with sight of any horizon. The air was cold, making her shiver, clutching her arms around her shoulders. She called out, her voice echoing off into the infinity of the void. Her ears flattened in terror as she searhced all around her for anything, or anyone to break up the featurless darkness. Suddenly a familar voice whispered at the back of her mind.

"Catra."

The feline froze, eyes widening. "Shadow Weaver? No! Y-you're dead!"

"Oh, Catra, I'll never truly be gone. I'll always be with you in the darkness of your mind. Watching you. I can see not much has changed since I last saw you."

Catra hissed, extending her claws. "What are you talking about?! Show yourself!"

"I'm talking about Adora." A portal opened in the darkness, displaying the events of last night. "She keeps protecting you." She ra appeared, silencing the one who had insulted Catra. "She keeps trying to support your shortcomings." Another image of Adora, reprimanding Catra for shouting at the servants.

"Shut up! What are you trying to get at?" Catra shouted into the ether, seething with rage.

"I am simply stating what I have always known, Catra." Shadow Weaver's figure appeared in swirl of darkness. "Adora is strong and you are a weak failure. You need her. But she doesn't need you. She'll realize that soon enough."

"I SAID SHUT UP!"

Catra pounced, leaping at Shadow Weaver, her claws passed through her as if she were made of smoke. She kept attacking, lashing out in fury, the form of Shadow Weaver slipping through her fingers as wisps of darkness. She attacked until her body ached, and she fell to her knees panting for breath. The sorceress continued to look down on her as she always had, saying nothing, but mocking her all the same.

That was when Catra woke up.

She snapped upright, her body covered in a cold sweat. chest heaving. The cat looked around frantically, searching for Shadow Weaver. But she was gone. She was in her room, covers tossed around her, with Melog looking at her with a worried expression. Catra pet the magical feline, and glanced to her side, finding Adora's spot empty. She didn't have to wonder for long where she had gone, as Adora stepped out of the bathroom moments later.

"Morning Catra." She could see the cat's labored breathing and frowned. "Are you okay?" She quickly approached, taking a seat next to her.

"I-I'm fine, it was just a bad dream." Catra assured, running her claws through her hair.

Adora placed her hand over Catra's "Do you wanna talk about it?"

"No, its fine, really."

Adora glanced at Melog, who let out a soft worried meow, then back to Catra. "Are you sure?"

"Yes. Just drop it okay?" Catra squeezed Adora's hand in reassurance. "It was just a nightmare. Nothing to talk about."

She was about to push the issue but thought better of it. "Okay. The...shower is empty if you wanna use it."

Catra sighed, feelin her shorts, and top clinging to her body. "Ugh. I think I could really use it."

"Try not to take too long, Glimmer wants to have a meeting in two hours."'

"Well at least I'll have time for breakfast." Catra yawned, sliding from the bed. "Hope you didn't use all the hot water."

"I saved some for you, stinky." Adora teased, sticking out her tongue. "I'll go get us something to eat while you clean up."

"I'm a not stinky. My natural body odor is simply an aquired taste." Catra insisted, as she walked toward the bathroom.

Adora rolled her eyes, and made a head motion toward the door at Melog. The cat let out a purr, and stretched, before shaking their mane. The two then headed out and down the hall, hoping to procure something from the kitchens.

Glimmer sighed, as she rose from her bed. The queen rubbed her eyes, hair a mess. With a flash of sparkling energy she teleported down and in front of her mirror. As she sat down to brush her hair, Bow climbed onto her balcony carrying a basket. She was so absorbed in her task, she didn't notice him until he was only ten feet away.

"Morning Glimmer."

Glimmer shrieked, her brush flying from her hands as she spun around. "Oh...its just you Bow." she said, and let out a sigh of relief. "What are you doing sneaking into my window?" She let out a little snorting laugh. "You know you can just walk through the door, right?"

"Guess old habits die hard." Bow answered with a shrug. "I got so used to just sneaking in here it just kinda became routine for me I guess."

"Well a knock would be appreciated ya know?" Glimmer replied with a smile. "I mean, I could have been indecent." She immediately regretted saying that as both her, and Bow turned beet red.

Bow brokr the tension by clearing his throat. "I, uh, brought you some breakfast." He held up the basket.

"Oooh, Bow, thats so sweet!" She took the basket, and flipped it open, setting out some biscuits, smoked sausages and a little thermos of coffee.

Bow pulled up a chair next to her, grabbing the last item, a jar of jam. "So, I guess someone was tired from last night. I can tell you just woke up."

"Yes, well, we all can't be up at the crack of dawn to do our morning workout." Glimmer said, taking a bit of sausage. "But, anyway, yeah, that party was exhausting." She frowned slightly. "For a number of reasons..."

Bow paused mid sip of coffee. "Have you talked to your dad since the uh, incident?"

"Uuuugh, no. I don't even know what to say to him." she groaned. "Like I get that he's upset. But also like, so am I? But he doesn't see me trying to blow up Hordak with magic in the middle of an important party."

"I mean...to be fair. Until pretty recently you would have blown him up with magic given the chance."

"Yeah, yeah, I know. I just...I just want to start moving on. I'm not saying he has to forgive Hordak or anything like that. Cause I certainly don't think that I ever will. But, if he can help us rebuild Etheria and make it better than I'm willing to put my personal issues aside."

Bow hummed in thought. "Well, that's what just what you should tell him. Just be straight with him. He's your Dad, he'll understand."

"Yeah." Glimmer sighed, blowing a stray bang out of her of her face.

Bow leaned forward, pushing the strand aside with his finger. "You got this, okay?"

"Thanks Bow." she grinned.

The meeting had gone successfully, much to Glimmer's relief. The only ones not to attend were Hordak, and King Micah. With Entrapta, and Castaspella apologizing on their behalf The meeting itself was mostly to discuss logistics and plans for how to best approach the repair and reconstruction efforts. Bow, Entrapa, and Hordak along with Zed and a team of clones were assigned to begin efforts to collect all the horde robots, and other technology left behind by Prime. With Swiftwind acting acting as an aerial scout. Netossa, Catra, and Scorpia were put in charge of making sure all the smaller operations went smoothly, with all of them reporting directly to Glimmer herself. Adora, Perfuma, and Frosta were essentially heavy lifters, aiding in all the other efforts. Such as repairing walls, large buildings, and anything that would require their abilties. Adora and Perfuma also had a secondary assignment of making sure the whispering woods was healing. Mermista and Seahawk were put in charge of destroying and or salvaging any aquatic based technology or vehicles. Other assignments were also divvied out accordingly, with everyone given a task.

Catra, and Scorpia had set out right after the meeting, heading toward one of the villages on the edges of the whispering woods. Many of the buildings were still standing but damaged. So it was mostly about cleaning up and bringing in supplies for smaller repairs. The feline looked over her data pad, directing several workers to carry a load of lumber. Scorpia walked alongside the workers, carrying two loads, one on each shoulder. The workers grumbled under their breath as Scorpia set down the lumber, but she didn't seem to notice or care that they were giving her the cold shoulder. The large woman then returned to Catra's side.

"Aah, isn't this great?" Scorpia exclaimed, patting Catra's back. The heavy pincer nearly made Catra fall forward and drop her datapad. "Sorry, sorry. Anyway, this just like the good old times."

Catra frowned and glanced up at her. "I wouldn't call the time in the horde 'good times'."

"W-well, I don't mean like all of it." Scorpia said, rubbing the back of her neck. "I'm just talking about when, ya know, the two of us would work together. Side by side, besties till the end."

"Yeah, well, I really wasn't much of a 'bestie' in case you forgot." Catra pointed out, ears flattening.

"Oh come on, don't be like that wildcat. That's water under the bridge. We're starting over. A fresh beginning. Uuh, turning over a rolling stone. Wait...no...I think I'm mixing up my sayings."

Catra couldn't help but let out a little snicker. "The saying is turning over a new leaf, silly."

"Oooh yeah! That's the one I was looking for. But anyway, its like Glimmer said last night. A new Etheria. A new path."

Catra sighed. "Sparkles speech was nice and all but, I don't know if its that simple."

"Well of course not. We all gotta try our best to make it reality. And thats what we're doing now! Right? Perfuma always tells me that every journey starts with the first step."

"Yeah...I guess so." Catra reached down to pet Melog who sat beside her napping.

A long silence hung between the two as Catra looked over her datapad. It was occasionally broken by Catra directing the nearby workers. With Scorpia stepping away to help before returning. The larger woman tapped her claws together, trying to think of a way to pass the time. She soon spotted a small path of flowers and began to pick them making her best attempt at a flower crown. She had gotten a lot better with Perfuma's help but it was slow process considering her appendages.

Eventually she broke the silence, as she worked. "Soooo, um, you and Adora huh?"

Catra blinked and turned to her, with a quirked brow. "What do you mean?"

"I mean, you two are together now, right?" Scorpia asked suddenly feeling very awkward. "Did I misread that? I'm sorry if I mesread that."

"No, no, you didn't." Catra sighed, running a hand through her hair. "But yeah, I guess we are."

"You guess?"

Catra struggled to find her words for a moment. "I mean, I don't know. Like I told her I loved her, and she said we loved me back and now we're sharing a room."

"Sounds like you're dating to me. Pretty cut and dry."

"We are...aren't we?" Catra let that thought really sink in. Like she really hadn't though about. The last few days had been a little too hectic to really take in her situation. "Yeah. Adora and I are dating." She let out a little giggle like a schoolgirl, and quickly clapped a hand over her mouth.

"Oooh that was adorable." Scorpia squeed.

"S-shut up!" Catra hissed, face flush.

"Catra has a girlfriend. Catra has a girlfriend. Catra has a girlfriend." Scorpia kept repeating the chant in a sing song manner

"Okay knock it off!" Scorpia clapped a claw over her lips, and Catra sighed. "Yes, Adora and I are together but...I don't know, it feels like we might have rushed into it a little."

"Rushed into it?" Scorpia scoffed. "Catra if I know anything about you-Which I do cause I'm your bestie-then I know that you've had a thing for Adora for a long time. And honestly, looking back on it, I think she felt the same way about you."

"Yeah...maybe..." Catra's ears suddenly perked up. "Wait. YOU KNEW?"

"Was...that a secret? I thought it was obvious."

Catra was fuming, trying to form a sentence several times and failing. She then took in a deep breath and straightened herself. "You know what. Its fine. Doesn't matter anymore. No need for me to be worked up about it."

"Aaash, you're working on your anger issues! I'm proud of you wildcat."

"Yeah, yeah, anyway, back to work."

As Catra turned back to her datapad, her sharp ears caught something in the distance. Melog rose up beside her, turning toward the sound. It was a faint rumbling that quickly began to grow louder and louder. Birds scattered from the trees, soaring up into the sky as the sound thundered closer. Catra ordered everyone to take cover, and sprinted toward the noise on all fours, Melog following right after. Scorpia blinked in surprise and called after the two, moving to pursue them as best she could. As Catra reached the edge of the village, she leaped up onto a nearby roof, and pulled out a pair of binoculars. She focused in, spotting the approaching cloud of dust as it barreled through the forest. Catra sniffed the air, the distinct stench of burning fuel hitting her nose.

Scorpia leaned up against the building down below. "Oooh boy you guys are fast. W-what is it?" she managed to ask between her heavy pants.

"It sounds like a vehicle. Heavy, possibly an armored transport." Catra answered. "Theres another sound though, fainter, right behind it. but jut as heavy. Get ready."

Scorpia nodded, red electricity crackling off of her body. Suddenly from the treeline, the form of a large armored vehicle burst through. It was a horde transport unit, though it was heavily damaged. Its heavy treads dug through the soft earth, kicking up a cloud of dust. Only a fraction of a second later, another shape emerged from the forest. It was a massive boar, with tusks as thick as a tree trunk. The boar let out a roar, and charged alongside the armored vehicle, ramming into its side to try and topple it over.

Catra searched her surroundings, spotting a length of chain. "Scorpia! We have to stop that thing before it reaches the village!" Catra leaped down, and grabbed one length of the chain, ordering Scorpia to grab the other.

Melog followed after Catra as she rushed toward the beast and the charging vehicle. Up ahead hte boar barrled into the large vehicle again. With the full force of its slam, it went toppling over, spinning twice before landing on its side. The boar however, kept is forward momentum, rapidly approaching the village's edge. Catra dashed toward a tree off to the right of the village's main path, directing Scorpia left. She looped her end of the chain around the tree twice, as Scorpia did the same around a jutting boulder. When Catra gave the signal they pulled the chain, with Melog grabbing Catra's end as well.

The chain went taut as the boar neared, its hooves catching on the hard iron links. Catra and her two companions struggled to keep the chain tight, the metal digging into the bark of the tree. The boar went tumbling, tripped by the chain, and went skidding across the ground. It formed a long trench in its wake, a pile of earth piling up in front of it before it skidded to a halt. The beast let out a thick snort, panting for breath on the ground. Melog rushed over, touching their snout to its own, as it formed a connection. The magical cat's energy seemed to soothe beast as its breathing began to slow.

Catra sighed, her arms burning. "You okay over there Scorpia?"

"I'm good!" Scorpia exclaimed, as she approached. "Huh, Melog's making a friend."

"Looks like it." Catra smiled. "Now, lets go check on that transport. But be ready, we don't know what we're dealing with."

The pair approached the overturned vehicle, which was not as damaged as it could have been. Seemed all the horde's vehicles were really built to last. Catra approached the driver's cab, leaping up on top of it. She readied her claws, and she unlatched the door. Smoke poured out from within as she swung it open. Before the smoke cleared a blast of green energy fired through the open door, making Catra leap back.

"Back off you overgrown pork roast!" a familiar voice shouted from inside.

"Lonnie?!" Catra and Scorpia called in unison.

There was a pause, and very slowly Lonnie's head peeked out from inside. "Scorpia? Catra?"

"What the hell are you doing here?" Catra asked.

"Yeah, its been forever since I last saw you!" Scorpia added with a smile.

Lonnie began to clamber out, standing on top of the vehicle's side. "I was gonna ask you the same thing. Yo, Kyle, Rohelio, you guys okay back there?"

"You're still hanging around with those doofuses?" Catra asked with a snicker.

"Those two 'doofuses', are my boyfriends." Lonnie replied with a scowl.

"Boyfriends? As in...plural?" Catra asked, taking a moment to process that information.

Before Lonnie could give an answer Kyle's whiney voice sounded from inside. "I don't think anything is broken! Imp is fine too!" A series of growls and hisses followed as Rohelia answered as well.

"I think he said that the door is jammed." Scorpia translated.

Lonnie leapt down and tried to pry on the door grunting with effort. "Dammnit! It won't budge."

Catra hopped down, grabbing a long piece of metal that fell off the vehicle. "Lets try this."

She hooked the metal bar into the door, and pulled, trying to pry it free. The cat grunted with effort, Lonnie moving in behind her to try and help. Despite their best attempt, the door was sealed shut, and the makeshift prybar bent in half. Scorpia circled around to the back as Catra tossed the bar down in anger.

"Allow me." Red electricity crackled off of her body, two bolts flying from her claws. They grabbed the door with electromagnetism allowing Scorpia to easily yank them off their hinges. "Oh, oops, maybe I did that a little too hard."

Lonnie's eyes went wide in surprise. "Hold the phone, since when can you do that?"

"Ever since I connected with the black garnet." Scorpia answered tapping her claws together. "its a long story."

"I'll bet." Lonnie moved inside the truck, helping Kyle to his feet. Rohelio managed to get up on his own, clutching his arm.

"Uuuh, why do you have imp in a baby backpack?" Catra asked, pointing at the little creature hanging from Kyle's chest.

"Long story." Lonnie answered.

"Everyone has a long story." Catra sighed.

As Kyle's eyes finally adjusted to the light and he saw Catra, he quickly backed away. "Aaah! Please don't hurt us!"

Catra rolled her eyes. "I'm not gonna hurt you, dork."

"Oh."

Scorpia helped Lonnie check over Kyle, and Rohelio. Catra stood back, trying not to make eye contact with the trio. An awkward silence hung in the air, neither side really knowing what to say. Once Rohelio's arm was in a sling he offered Scorpia a hiss which she knew to mean thank you. She simply gave him a smile, and patted him on the back gently. Though even that seemed to agitate is injury which she quickly apologized for.

Eventually Lonnie spoke up. "Sooo, what are you two doing in this place? I'm gonan be honest Catra, we thought you were dead after the forge blew up."

Catra frowned, recalling her battle with Hordak. "Honestly, I've come pretty close to dying a lot the last few months. As for what I'm doing here, I'm helping with the rebuilding efforts. Sparkles-I mean, Queen Glimmer put me in charge of logistics."

Lonnie held up a hand. "Woah, hold up. You're working for Brightmoon now? What the heck happened to you Catra? Last time I saw you, you were dead set on burning Brightmoon and everything around it to the ground."

Catra flinched, hands balling into tight fists. "Yeah...I was...wasn't I?" She turned away from the group. "You guys look like you could use some food and water. I'll be right back."

Before anyone could say anything Catra took off, heading for the village's supply shed.

Scorpia frowned as she watched her go. "Catra..."

"She seems...different." Kyle pointed out, feeling well enough to stand on his feet. "Normally she would be chewing me out by now. Or something."

"A lots happened since you guys left." Scorpia said, turning toward him. "But anyway, I'm glad to see you guys are okay. Must have been rough out there on your own."

"Yeah, it was." Lonnie replied. "Especially when Prime attacked the planet. All hell broke loose after that. Seems like you're doing pretty well for yourself. I'm glad you're doing okay too." She rubbedd the back of her neck. "I'm sorry that I was kinda angry with you last time we saw each other. Catra was running us ragged."

"Pssh, don't worry about it." Scorpia then moved in to give each of them a hug, being sure to be extra gentle with Rohelio.

After giving out her free hugs, the four began to catch up on their lives in the last few months. Lonnie and the others had been essentially been wandering the continent, not really staying in any one place for too long. They were constantly on the run from Prime's robots when he invaded, just barely avoiding them time after time. They took turns trading stories after Scorpia gave a rundown of what happened after leaving the horde. Soon enough they were all laughing, joking, and just generally being friendly. Catra watched them for a few moments with a frown. Scorpia eventually spotted her, waved the feline over, putting an awkward pause to the conversation. After a moment of hesitation she approached, holding a few canteens of water and a small box of rations. She handed them to Lonnie wordlessly, and the awkward silence from earlier returned.

"I'm...gonna go and make sure the construction is going smoothly." Catra eventually said. "Join me when you're ready Scorpia. If you guys need anything else, you know where to find me."

"Um, thanks." Lonnie said, looking down at the supplies. Catra simply nodded, and headed off again, with Melog soon joining her side. Lonnie then turned back to Scorpia. "Scorpia, what happened to Catra anyway? Kyle is right, she's acting, different."

"I'm right?" Kyle asked, genuinley surprised.

"Even a broken clock is right twice a day." Lonnie retorted, but her voice was playfully and teasing, making Kyle blush. Rohelio simply patted him on the back, and began to take deep swigs of water.

Scopia looked down with a frown. "I don't think its my place to say. If you really wanna know, you'll have to ask her yourself. But before that, how bout I help you get this baby flipped over." Using her electromagnetism Scorpia lifted up the armored vehicle, and spun it in the air, before placing back down on its treads. "Ta dah!"

Kyle and Lonie clapped at the display, with Rohelio simply offering a nod of recognition. Scorpia smiled at them and took her leave, going to join Catra. The four were left to eat and rest, getting the occasional curious glance from the villagers. Lonnie couldn't help but steal glances over at Catra who was focusing on her work, directing supplies, and workers with Scorpia's help.

"I think Scorpia's right, you should go talk to her." Kyle eventually said, as he handed a bit of food to Imp.

"And say what to her?" Lonnie asked, turning to him. "Last time I saw her in the horde, she looked like she was about to rip my head off if I even looked at her funny. Like full on crazy."

"Well does she seem that way now?" Kyle said. "Cause if you aske me, she looks kinda sad. Like a lost kitten."

"Okay, fair point. But why should I bother? She treated us like trash before we left. I don't owe her anything."

Rohelio spoke up this time, giving a long string of hisses, growls, and grunts. He made gestures to Scorpia, the vehicle, themselves, and then to Catra.

"Yeah, I see what you're saying." Kyle said with an almost sagely nod.

"I'm still only getting the gist of that. Something about second chances, and so on?" Lonnie asked.

Rohelio nodded.

"Yeah well, I think I'm done trying to give her chances." Lonnie said, tucking her knees to her chest.

Kyle hummed in thought before standing up. "You know what, If you're not gonna go talk to her I will."

"Its your funeral."

Kyle took in a deep breath, and handed Imp off to Lonnie. "If I don't make it, take care of Imp." He then kissed Lonnie's forehead, and strode off toward Catra and Scorpia.

Catra's ears perked up as she heard his approach and she turned to face him. "H-hey, Catra." Kyle began awkwardly. "I just wanted to thank you for the water and the rations. Better than those gray nutrition bars we had back at the horde."

"Oh, sure. Um, you're welcome."

Kyle's face split into a small smile. "Wow, you really are different. The Catra I remember wouldn't have bothered to say you're welcome. Or...do anything to help us out for that matter. It'd be something like 'You can all have rations when you finish your double shift!'"

Catra snarled, and wheeled on him. "Are you going somewhere with this?! Or are you just here to piss me off?"

Scorpia quickly moved between the two as Kyle stepped back in fear. "Woah, easy there wildcat. He didn't mean it that way. I don't even think Kyle is capable of being vindictive."

Kyle nodded quickly. "Y-yeah what she said. I was just joking around ya know? Sorry. I just-" He paused trying to find his words. "I just wanted to talk I guess. You really seem like a totally different person now. Well, except for threatening to kill me part, but Lonnie threatens to throttle me every other day so I don't mind. But anyway, I guess, what I'm trying ask is, what happened to you?"

Catra's body seemed to deflate at his question, Melog's mane mirroring it. "I...got a serious reality check. Lets just put it that way. You're right, that I'm not the old Catra anymore." She looked down at her data pad, catching her reflection. "Or...thats what I'm trying to tell myself."

"Well, for what its worth, I think you're doing a good job of not being the old Catra."

Catra let out a little chuckle. "You know, I never thought I would say what about to say as long as I lived. Thanks Kyle." Kyle held a hand to his chest, tears ringing his eyes as Scorpia clasped her claws together. The two stared at Catra almost proudly making feel more self conscious by the moment. "Okay, enough already! Both of you!"

"But we're not doing anything Catra." Scorpia teased, trying to make her face even cuter.

"I will end you in your sleep." Catra said icily.

Scorpia snickered, and returned to her more neutral face. "Okay, okay easy wildcat."

Kyle held back a laugh of his own, and heard a loud curse nearby. The three turned to see Lonnie, body half burried in the engrine of the armored car. Smoke slowly rose up from the engine, as she tried to find the source of the problem. Her fiddling loosened a single bolt just enough to unleash a stream of lubricant up into the air, and raining down on her. She growled in anger, hopped down, giving the front of the car a good kick. Nearby, Rohelio watched, shaking his head, as Imp bounced in his lap.

A lightbulb suddenly went off in Kyle's head. "Ya know, the old Catra wouldn't help us fix our ride."

"Don't push it, Kyle." Catra growled. "But fine, once I'm done with this, I'll see if we can spare some supplies to help repair it, okay?"

"Great! I'll go tell Lonnie. Thanks Catra." Kyle then quickly took off, nearly tripping over his own feet as he ran.

Catra watched him go for a moment, before Scorpia moved in beside her. "Thats the happiest I've ever seen Kyle. I think leaving the horde was the best thing to happen to those three."

"Yeah..." Catra turned back to her data pad. "Okay, lets focus on the task at hand for now."

After making sure all the building materials were where they needed to be, and the repair's were running smoothly, Catra and Scorpia searched for spare parts. A horde tank had thankfully crashed not far away from the village several weeks ago. The pair reported to Bow and his crew for cleanup, but not before recovering what spare parts they could find. Thankfully most of the vehicles in the horde had universal parts to make repairs on the field easy, and efficent. Lonnie was a bit reluctant at first to accept Catra's help but a little convincing from Kyle and Rohelio swayed her. It was nearly sundown by the time the vehicle was running again. Everyone but Rohelio and Imp had varying levels of grease stains on their bodies. As the four were done with their final checks, Catra had their truck loaded with what supplies they could spare. Which they were grateful for, though Lonnie wouldn't say so out loud.

"So, where are you guys heading now?" Scorpia asked.

"Don't know." Lonnie answered, hopping into the driver's seat. "We never really had a destination in mind."

"Maybe come to Brightmoon?" Scorpia suggested. "I bet Queen Glimmer could always use some extra guards around the palace or you could just make a home in the castle town."

"Not sure if we would really feel welcome there, but I appreciate the offer." Lonnie glanced over at Catra who was trying to clean the grease off her hands. She sighed and hopped out, approaching the cat, and handed her a bottle of clear liquid. "It won't just come off with water, you need a degreaser like this."

Catra took the bottle apprehensively "Thanks."

"You were always good in the combat simulations but you always failed on the practical stuff." Lonnie said with a smile.

"I failed at a lot of things." Catra replied, frowning.

Lonnie took in a deep breath and put a hand on her hip. "Look, what happened, happened. I'm not saying i forgive you. Cause honestly, you treated us like trash. But, I can tell you're trying. So, maybe one day, we can call what happened water under the bridge. Today was a good start." She held out her hand.

Catra glanced between Lonnie and the offered hand before shaking it. The two shared a nod and Lonnie headed back to the truck's cab. Scorpia gave her a quick hug, before she hopped back inside. The vehicle's engine then revved to life, before it took off down the road. Catra watched them go for a moment, before looking down at the hand she had shaken Lonnie's with. The cat then allowed herself a very small smile.
