Sonny looked at Kellie and Selina.
"I'll humor you for now," Sonny said, "So, Kellie, what business do you think you have with us?"
"I'm here as a courtesy," Kellie said, "I thought I should inform you that I recently acquired control of a shipping company. You all may or may not use that shipping company."
"You bought the controlling share of Stronghold Enterprises?" Brick responded in surprise.
"Should we be concerned given that it seems the recent shipping delays involving ELQ happened under what I presume is your watch," Selina asked.
"The ELQ delay is most likely a one time hiccup," Kellie said, "I don't have any plans to change the shipping operations. Things should run smoothly as they always have. However, should me or my family continue to be targeted, then there may be cause for concern."
"Against whoever targets you correct?" Johnny Zacharra said.
"That would be preferable," Kellie said, "However, given the losses my family has already suffered, I wouldn't rule out more drastic options if they become necessary to protect my family."
"Do you have any idea what you've done?" Sonny yelled, "You just put a bigger target on your back."
"I don't think the target gets much bigger than my father-in-law dying from bullet from a meant for me," Kellie replied, "or my son getting grazed by one of those bullets. All of my kids, Sam, Drew, Kristina, Monica, they all could have been killed. And why do you think it is that your enemies are coming after me now?"
"Look, I'm sorry you're target," Sonny said, "But I can't control what my enemies will do or who they decide to go after…"
Johnny Zacharra snorted, "Your enemies no longer think you have what it takes to hold on to your territory. They're going after Kellie to keep her from taking it over if you and Morgan can't hold on to it. That's got to hurt Corinthos, they fear your daughter possibly more than they do you."
"You shut your mouth, Zacharra," Sonny exploded, "You're fresh blood, no matter who your daddy was. I'd be more worried about who is coming after you."
"Mr. Zacharra could have been more tactful, but he's not wrong," Selina said, "While Mr. Zacharra will have to prove he can hold on to the Buscema territory, you, Sonny, still have to prove you can hold the Corinthos territory with the same respect you did before you went missing and were presumed dead."
"That's ridiculous," Sonny said, "Given all that's happened with the changes in leadership and how much damage Cyrus Renault caused, you can't be surprised that people are trying to horn in on our territory."
"Seems like they're very focused on you, Corinthos," Johnny Zacharra said, "Word on the street has been when it came to consolidating your half of the Novak territory, you lost a lot of people compared to Mrs. Wu. That doesn't look good."
"You know it goes," Sonny said, "Not everyone likes the changes in leadership."
"You've gotten sloppy, Corinthos," Johnny Zacharra said, "You're delusional if you think that you can skate by with no plan resting on the respect you used to command."
"I'd had enough of you, a smart mouthed little punk," Sonny yelled, standing up.
"Calm yourself, Mr. Corinthos," Selina barked.
"My apologies," Sonny replied, sitting back down, and glaring at Johnny.
"Mr. Zacharra, does have a point," Selina said, "You have been lax in re-establishing command of your territory. I'd like to know what plans you have to address this."
"I don't think that's any of your business," Sonny said, "I've been around a long time. I know what needs to be done."
"Forgive me, Sonny," Selina said, "But it doesn't seem that way. Your own daughter's done more than you to stabilize things to strengthen our position as a whole and ensure her safety against her enemies. Considering that the success of our business relies on the stability of yours, we will need assurances."
"That's ridiculous," Sonny muttered.
"As much it pains me to say this," Brick said, "It's time to step up your game, Sonny. I know you can do this."
"Not you too," Sonny said.
"I suggest, next time we meet," Selina said, "You either show results or inform us what plans you have in place."
"Or else what?" Sonny spat.
"Does there need to be an or else?" Selina replied.
"Sonny, don't let your pride get the better of you," Brick said, "It's a reasonable request. I think I speak for all of us when I say we all want you to succeed."
"What about Johnny boy over there?" Sonny replied, "He just walked in the door. I don't see you requesting he have a plan in place to prove himself."
"Mr. Zacharra just successfully secured control of the freefalling Buscema organization," Selina said, "That is proof in his favor even though he still has a ways to go."
"All I need is the opportunity to show that my way is working," Sonny said.
"But it's not, Corinthos," Johnny Zacharra replied, "Everyone in our circles is whispering about it. No one's sure who's in charge of your organization after all these months. I'd bet that Morgan here has been holding it all together behind the scenes while you maintain your grand delusions and chase which ever skirt is holding your attention these days."
"You've had plenty of opportunity, Sonny," Selina said, before Sonny could respond, "Now we're giving you the courtesy of telling you what we see and that you need to take more active steps to address the situation."
"Don't think that just because I'd prefer not to find any of my client's shipments delayed," Kellie said, "that I might not be willing to make an exception when it comes to you, Sonny. If you won't get on the same page as your associates, I'd definitely consider it."
"Don't you threaten me, Kellie," Sonny exploded, "Hell will freeze over before I allow any of you to tell me how to run my business."
"You have four weeks, Sonny, before we meet again," Selina said, "I suggest you run your business in a manner that shows you have control before we have consider more drastic action. You don't have to agree at this moment, just show results."
"I've had enough," Sonny said, standing up, and starting to storm out.
"I nominate Selina Wu as the new head of the five familes," Johnny Zacharra said, causing Sonny to stop in his tracks.
"Now you are really out of line," Sonny yelled, turning back around.
"Selina is acting more like the head of the five families as it is," Johnny said, "She's run the whole meeting. You definitely haven't earned your spot as the head since you've come back for well a lot of the reasons, we just discussed."
Sonny looked at Brick and Selina, "Are the two of you really going to indulge this?"
"I say we put it to a vote," Johnny Zacharra said before anyone else could respond.
"Sure, you know what," Sonny laughed, sure that Selina and Brick wouldn't vote against him, "Why not?"
"I vote for Selina," Johnny said.
"I'm deeply honored by your confidence, Mr. Zacharra," Selina said, "Sonny, I hope you understand I hold you no ill will, but I am voting for myself and the Wu family to lead the territory again."
Sonny looked miffed, but refrained from commenting on Selina's vote.
"And I vote for myself," Sonny said, looking at Brick.
"I think Sonny. can still pull this off," Brick said, "My vote's with him."
"With that we have a tie," Sonny smirked, "I guess it's a draw and nothing changes."
"Hold on a moment," Johnny Zacharra said, "We do have a tie-breaking vote here with us. I think it's only fair the new owner of our shipping partner have a say in something as monumental as this. She is sitting in the fifth chair just for tonight at least."
"That's seems reasonable," Selina said.
""Wait, hold on a moment," Kellie said, "I don't know that I should be involved in these kind of decisions."
"Kellie," Brick said, "It's just for tonight and the most fair way to make the decision."
"As far as I'm concerned, you've more than earned the right to participate in this vote tonight," Selina said, "I think even your father would have to admit that. No one is going to retaliate if the vote doesn't go their way."
"That's not how we do business here," Brick said.
"And you'll all accept the results of the vote tonight?" Kellie asked.
Johnny Zacharra, Brick, and Selina nodded their agreement while Sonny shrugged.
"Sonny?" Brick asked.
"Yeah, I'll honor the results of the vote," Sonny said, nonchalantly.
"Alright," Kellie said, nodding her agreement.
"Then it's decided, Kellie Corinthos-Morgan will vote as to who will be the head of the five families," Selina said, "What is your vote?"
Kellie looked around the room as everyone waited for her answer.
