Spider-man rises up from his bed with a gasp. He quickly finds himself still in costume in a faint small apartment bedroom with a flashlight turned on and pointing up to the ceiling. He holds his head still as he adjust to his surroundings.

"I don't remember being here..." He muttered to himself. "How did I get here?"

He replays the events that led up to here before blacking out. He soon notices his duffel bag resting on a chair. He slowly gets up and heads over to grab it. He quickly looked inside to see nothing was taken. His spare change of clothes, some snacks, and his cellphone are all there and accounted for. How nice for someone to leave his stuff untouched.

Suddenly, the door opens slowly. Spider-Man jumps back without making a sound and waits a second. A JTF soldier enters the room with a tray of food and a glass of water. He stops and freezes as he sees the bed empty. Then he notices Spider-Man standing in one side of the room and nearly drops the tray. The tray rattles a little before he regains his grip on the handles.

"Jesus, you scared me." The JTF soldier nearly fumbles the tray and set the tray down on the table. "You woke up quicker than we expected."

"I appreciate the surprise room service." Spidey quipped. "Where am I?"

"Plymouth Rock, an apartment complex in Brooklyn." The JTF sergeant replied. "You recover quick from a hit like that."

"I've fortunately been through worse." Spider-Man rubbed his head a little. "Wait...I was knocked out? And what I'm doing in Brooklyn?"

"Yep. You've been knocked out for about two weeks. It was the only way we could safely secure you by getting you out of Manhattan." The JTF checks his watch before his eyes dart to the door. "There's someone you need to meet. She should be walking in at any moment.

And as if it were on cue, the door opens again. A young Chinese woman in an average build steps into the room. Spidey can spot the orange circle glowing on her watch. She sighed happily and draws a smile on her face.

"Well, that was quicker than I expected." She says. Then, she turns her head to the JTF soldier. "I'll debrief him. Head on out."

The JTF hurries out of the room. The woman with the special watch sits down on the chair and folded her arms and sets her eyes on the wall crawler.

"Glad you're still amongst the living, Spidey." She reaches her hand out. "I wish we met in better circumstances. I'm Faye Lau."

"Yeah... and I'm the friendly neighbor Spider-Man." He shakes her hand. "You don't seem to be wearing enough green to be JTF."

"Right... quite observant of you." The woman chuckles a little. "I'm working along with the JTF as an agent of the Strategic Homeland Division."

"Wait... Strategic Homeland Division? I've never heard of it."

For someone like Spider-Man to be in a world where the Avengers, SHIELD, and other super-secret or powerful agencies in the world exist, this was something that seem to have appeared out of the blue. Faye flashes her fancy watch that's glowing an orange circle.

"Yep. Don't worry, it's not a secret that I have to kill you over." Faye continued. "SHD or The Division for short. The federal government has activated Directive 51, giving us authorization on the Green Poison situation to pick up the pieces and save what remains. The Division is the reason on how we brought you out of Manhattan to Brooklyn as we knew you're valuable to this city."

"I'm very touched you guys pulled it off. Does this Division have a plan in place?"

"Yes, we have one fortunately." Faye cuts in. "We are making sure Brooklyn is safe before we send a second wave of agents into Manhattan."

"Well, you get onto saving Brooklyn." Spider-Man looks to the door and starts to walk out of the room via door. "I'll be swinging my way to Manhattan and wait for you while your agents get ready to travel."

Faye blocks the hero's way and shuts the door, forcing Spider-Man to stop in his tracks. She sighs and shakes her head before placing her hand on his shoulder.

"I cannot risk letting you go to Manhattan... yet." She mutters. "You've got no idea what you're up against."

"I'll find out when I get there. If it's just a group of armed street gangs, then it can't be too tough for me to handle."

"You're wrong. You have no idea what's going on. We have little intel over in Manhattan except it's a total warzone. The JTF in Manhattan are struggling to take the streets back from hostile groups who want to control it. You'll not last long without help or the intel we are going to have when we get to Manhattan."

"I can handle things solo, thank you."

"Don't try to shoulder responsibility, Spidey. We have lost contact with our first wave of agents and have no clue what happened. You and I both know there's a good chance the same will happen to you."

Spider-Man closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. Then he shakes his head slowly. "What about the Avengers? SHIELD? No offense, but I don't see why they're not here with you and the Division."

"The Avengers are keeping their distance from Manhattan and monitoring the country for any outbreak of the dollar flu while SHIELD is helping us secure New York from a distance. You and the Division are the only best line of defense Manhattan has. Believe me, this is the only way we can resolve this crisis."

"Alright." Spider-Man shrugs a little. "What can I do to help?"

Faye blinks a couple of times. Then, her contact lenses projects a small hologram of Brooklyn in front of Spider-Man. The hero steps back a little as blue dots appear on the map. Faye points to one of them as she begins to speak.

"We have some activity in Brooklyn. You'll be assigned with a new agent who's been activated an hour ago. You'll meet and help him with his first mission. I'll provide more instructions once you're done in the coms built onto your mask."

"Sounds wonderful... wait, how do you know about that?"

"ISAC, our AI companion, detected you had a communication program built in your mask. Once we patch you up with ISAC, you'll be able to communicate with the agents you come across. Many of them are from New York city. I'll bet you the next round of drinks that you'll find someone you recognize as a Division agent."

"You're on." Spidey taps the side of his mask twice, patching ISAC in. The UI changes to loading ISAC into his mask. Then, a robotic voice lets out a hum.

"Connection established." ISAC chimes in. "Welcome, Spider-Man."

"An AI program..." Spider-Man muttered to himself. "Interesting."

"The new agent is waiting for you. He can handle a gun but is an expert with medical services. Good luck, Spidey."

Spider-Man grabs his duffle bag and leaves the room. He takes a few steps outside before he spots an older middle-aged man with blonde hair and wearing a facemask. The man in the medical facemask talks to a JTF officer. Spidey manages to hear the end of the conversation.

"If you need more jobs, talk to Officer Hazen." The JTF officer spots Spider-Man and waves once. "There's your partner, agent. Good luck."

The agent in the medical facemask turns around. He grinned under his mask and lets out a laugh while clapping his hands slowly.

"Well, I'll be damned."

He walks up to Spider-Man and takes off his medical facemask. Spider-Man quickly recognizes the new Division agent as the friendly doctor from FEAST, John Oxton.

"What a surprise to see you here." John exclaimed.

"I can say the same thing." Spider-Man scratches his head. "What are the odds I be assigned to a medical doctor from FEAST."

"I definitely don't look like the type, am I right?" John loads a clip onto his SMG. "Sorry to cut the greetings quick, but we have to move. Rioters have stolen food and medicine from a distribution center and are either using them or selling them back to the people who need it."

"No need to tell me twice. Lead the way, agent Oxton."

John hustles out of the building as Spider-Man runs outside with him and jumps up before swinging his way over to the location.

-Brooklyn Streets-

Spider-Man lands on top of a building as he spots a group of hoodlums digging through a large container looted from a JTF convoy. One of the Rioters, a single man in a beanie and beige jacket, talking with a man in a grey hoodie.

"Yo, where are the freaking medicines?" One rioter calls out. "You said they're in the crates."

"You idiot. You're looking in the food crate." Another one shouts before pulling out a container of medicine from another box. "Didn't take long to find it. There's a lot of people who will trade their stuff for this."

"How can you stoop to such disgusting low." Spidey says to himself.

"Buddy, you left your coms on." John chuckles. "But yeah, I agree."

Spider-Man looks around before spotting the doctor crouching behind a car. He waves to Spider-Man as he smirked underneath his facemask. Then he ducks behind the car and breathes hard.

"You feel ok, Doc? You seem scared."

"Kind of. I'm about to violate the first law in medicine." John chuckles a little. "What is your move, Peter?"

Peter cringed as the doctor said his real name, as he remembers the doctor is one of the only few people who knows his identity. Oxton looks up to Spider-Man and waits for him to respond as the wall crawler looks at the Rioters taking medicine from the boxes.

"Thinking of silently taking them." Spider-Man replies. "Non-lethal, of course. You sure you got this, Doc?"

"I do. I took the oath to do what I must to save what remains. Anyways, I got something that'll help you find which one to take out."

Spider-Man waits a moment as John taps his watch to send out a pulse. The pulse highlights the rioters in the area in a red light. Spider-Man and John can now see all of the looters at once, even the three hanging inside a nearby garage. It was as if the two gained the ability to see through walls.

"How is this even possible?" Spider-Man muttered.

"Standard SHD tech." John moves over to get behind a crate. "Did it help?"

"It did. I can see everyone in the area." Spider-Man spots a scrappy sniper walking out onto the balcony. "I'll get that guy off the roof."

"Go ahead."

Spider-Man leaps to the apartment building. He yanks the guy up and webs him to the wall. Spider-Man gives John a thumbs up.

John nods and shoots the rioter carrying the medicine container away. The others spin around as their friend fell and rush in with baseball bats. John mows down half of the rushers with a clip before he leaps and rolls backwards. As John ducks behind a car, the group in the garage step out and start shooting with handheld SMGs. John is pinned behind cover.

"You made a huge mistake, asshole!" A rioter yells to John. "Close in and end him."

Spider-Man dives down and lands a kick onto another rioters face. Then, he moves forward and sends another off the ground with an uppercut. The rest stop shooting and froze as they see the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man in the flesh.

"What the hell? Spider-Man!" A third rioter gasps.

"He's back!" Another one shuddered.

"Yep!" Spider-Man says as he leaps onto a wall. "Now, if you guys drop your weapons and the medicine you stole and leave, this guy will less likely shoot you."

"It's really him. This isn't worth it." One rioter drops his baseball bat and turns to run away with a group.

"Oh, come on!" The rioter gang leader roared. "You're going to puss out like that?"

"It's Spider-Man. I ain't taking my chances, Crash." The rusher yells back and tosses his bat away.

The gang leader named Crash growls as his rushers flee. Fortunately, he still had people close by. Crash and his remaining soldiers pull out handheld SMGs and spread them out. They open fire at the agent and Spider-Man. The wallcrawler jumps and spins to dodge bullets before leaping onto a lamp post as John ducks behind a park bench. He fires a couple of times before shouting to Spider-Man.

"Damn it!" John shouts to Spider-Man. "There's too many."

"Just stay here. I'll take care of these guys quick."

"Friendly seeker mine detected." ISAC announces.

Spider-Man leaps onto a metal beam, getting ready to strike them from above. Then, Spidey notices a small black ball making a whirling sound as it rolls toward the hoodlums. The ball then exploded as it got close, taking a group out in the process. Spider-Man remain still trying to piece together what just happened.

"John, did you do that?"

"Nope. That was a seeker mine, so another agent must have done this."

Then, a woman wearing a purple hoodie runs up and ducks behind a truck. She then emerges and mows the remaining looter with her assault rifle. As the dust settles, she stands up and runs over to John.

"You OK?"

John stands up and dusts himself off. Then, the woman gasps and points at the doctor.

"You're that doctor I interviewed in the quarantine zone... what was your name again? It's been awhile." She asks with a hint of embarrassment.

"John Oxton." He laughs a little. "I'm just as surprised as you are, Freya."

"Wait... Freya..." Spiderman mutters to himself as he watches the two agents talk to each other.

"So, you did that." John asks and points to the blast mark in the parking lot.

"Yep, me and my seeker mine. I just drop it onto the ground and it goes after a target."

"Well, guess that suits you. Explosives are definitely not my style." John says before he laughs with Freya.

"So, what brings a doctor out on a dangerous street alone?" Freya raises an eyebrow as she drops to a soft tone.

"Well, I didn't exactly come alone. I had someone special as help."

At that moment, Spider-Man drops down from the wall and lands next to the doctor. Freya steps back and lets out a gasp. Her eyes widen.

"Spider-Man!" The reporter gasps. "Thought you died in Manhattan."

"Nope. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for the Division." Spider-Man nods a little. "I still feel a bit weird about them."

"Yeah," Freya chuckles. "I felt the same when they approached to recruit me. You'll grow used to it eventually."

"Intercepting friendly communications." ISAC announces.

"This is JTF Officer Hazen. Rioters are attacking the Brooklyn precinct. We need backup, now!"

"Crap." Freya shakes her head. "We cannot lose the precinct. We have to get over there."

"Sure, but we cannot let these supplies remain unguarded." John counters. "We have to wait till the JTF arrive. Not sure how long that'll be."

"But if we don't act, we'll lose the precinct and fail our objective to restore order to Brooklyn."

"I'll go to the precinct." Spider-Man chimes in.

"Alright, we'll meet up with you as soon the JTF secures the supplies." John loots an armored vest from a rioter.

"You sure you guys can handle yourselves?" Spider-Man asks.

"Yep! Believe us, the division have trained us to handle anything." Freya shouts to Spider-Man. "Now, head over there."

Spider-Man starts running before leaping into the air and swings his way to the Brooklyn precinct.
