Hello. Um, so... yeah. If you can't already tell, this isn't a chapter.
The next chapter is in the works, but while I was working on it, I started thinking about future chapters and found myself stumped. I didn't know how many of you actually read my author's notes at the end of chapter (I won't blame you if you don't, I can't ever seem to shut up when writing them, so they're REALLY long sometimes), so I decided to do something I've never done and make an Author's Note chapter.
Here's my issue: The godly parents of characters yet to be seen.
The one I'm having the most trouble deciding right now is Jasper. As you can tell from the story so far, I already know what David is, but Jasper has had me at a loss for a while. I just can't get a solid grasp on his character, but he's a pretty big influence on David in Camp Camp proper. I want to keep that up when I write the "Jasper dies at the End" chapter, but I just can't decide who his godly parent/ancestor should be. I don't feel comfortable trying to write the kid before I figure that out, so I'm kind of at a stand still.
The other character of less severity is Jermy. While I don't plan on writing his introduction episode as a chapter, he is a reoccurring character along with the Wood Scouts, so knowing his godly ancestry is important to me.
The reason I'm telling you all of this is because I want your input. If you have a suggestion, please leave a comment. I'll be looking for the name of the God and why you think they'd be a good fit for the character. If you're in the mood, feel free to make a suggestion for one of the side characters, too. Gregg, Darla, Hwan, anyone, really. Other than Jasper and Jermy, you don't even have to suggest that the character be a Godling/Legacy! You can recommend that they be some mythical creature, as long as you tell me what they'd be and why.
My only limiter is keeping everything within the Greek/Roman mythos. If you REALLY think that some creature/god from a different mythos would work better for a certain character, you can suggest it. If I like it enough, I'll try to find a work around in the story.
Even if I don't end up choosing your suggestion, I will really appreciate the contribution.
I'm looking forward to your suggestions. Have a nice day, and I'll be seeing you when I drop the next chapter!
