"Brother, is it time?" A small digimon asked, looking up at Starshot.
"Yes it is time for us to make a new chapter in life." Starshot said, looking at the portal. "Stay here in the digital campus. I will be back tonight to get you after the opening ceremony." He said giving his partner a hug before running through the portal, and with a new necklace made from DinoRexmon's chipped claw acting as a good luck charm. Walking through the portal into his private dorm room Starshot walked in to find that his once private room is now being invaded by a Sandwing, and an Icewing who looked angered to even be in the same room as Starshot. "Well this could have gone worse." Starshot mumbled before looking at the other two. "I'm Starshot, who are you two?" He asked as the Sandwing looked at him giving a judging look.
"Qibli and this here is Herissmon." Qibli pointed to the spiky hat he had on that slowly uncurled itself.
"H-Hello." Herissmon said before curling backup and falling asleep.
"What about you two, what's your name?" Starshot said looking at the Icewing and his digimon who had walked into the room both now giving Starshot a death stare.
"None of your business Nightwing." They both said at the same time before walking out of the room.
"What got under his scales?" Starshot mumbled as he walked out after the Icewing did. "Wonder what is up with the others?" Starshot asked as he walked into the prey center to see Clay and Leomon acting as guards protecting those who were being pushed around by other dragons or digimon. On the left he could see a Nightwing being harassed by Kinkajou "Yep that checks out." Starshot thought to himself before walking past them and out to the front gate. Keeping a steady pace he would pass by a Seawing and her brother their digimon conversing from inside the little baskets they were held in.
"You there, Nightwing, they call you Starshot, yes? Take our digimon to the holding place." The female seawing said as she gave him the basket and her brother reluctantly did the same.
"Yay a new place!" One of the digimon said as Starshot ignored the request.
"Now where to drop you two off at? I guess their rooms could work." Starshot said as he walked off to Sunny's office. "So who are you two?" Starshot asked, looking around for Sunny's office as the baskets opened up.
"I'm Sh-Sha." The clam digimon said before getting drowned out by the sound of the other digimon.
"You shall call me Modoki Betamon peasant and he is nothing more than my underling Shakomon." The other digimon said looking almost exactly like Tsunami's digimon partner and her ego was already high, let alone this new Betamon.
"S-Sorry about her." Shakomon said as Starshot rolled his eyes, drowning out the long speech Modoki was giving.
"It's fine everyone is different." Starshot said, as he arrived next to Tsunami and the current Queen of the Seawings. "Tsunami hey."
"Starshot? Why do you have my siblings digimon?" Tsunami asked with her Betamon, Queen Coral, and Coral's partner Mermemon following her around.
"The light blue one gave me the basket… Wait siblings!" Starshot said as if this was new news. "So was the dark green one also your sister?"
"No, that would be one of my thirty one brothers." Tsunami said as the memory of one of the prince's head falling past the cave they hid in when Wingdramon and Groundramon attacked the summer palace.
"Oh so you have at least thirty two siblings and tell me nothing?" Starshot said as he handed over the baskets.
Tsunami sat there and rolled her eyes as Starshot blew this whole ordeal out of proportion. "And you are still the Prince of the Nightwings yet you are here lugging two digimon around." Tsunami said with a laugh.
"Alright well I'll see you later I got to get ready to start my classes!" Starshot said as he ran away from the others and found his way over to the meeting spot of the Jade winglet. Normily only one of each type of dragon was allowed in a winglet, but this was the only exception. Two Nightwings in this winglet. "Morning Sir." Starshot said walking into Web's class.
"Oh Starshot good morning. I suppose you are waiting for class to start?" The older seawing said with his tail flicking to erase what was on the board.
Starshot stood there for a bit before saying. "No, I'm not really guessing, I'm waiting for something interesting to happen." As Starshot finished that sentence the gong rung telling all student's to head to the gathering hall. "Well guess it's time I'll see you later. Webs sorry for dropping by unannounced."
"No problem Starshot, and remember you don't have to attend class if the digital world calls for you!" Webs said as Starshot rushed out to get to a front row seat.
"Man all this running around is getting to me." Starshot thought as he ran into the gathering hall and sat to the left of center stage.
"Ladies and gentlemen before we start I would like to welcome you to Jade Mountain Academy." Leomon shouted so that the people in the back could hear. "In this academy you will learn about this continent and the beings that inhabit it. All of you have received a digimon partner like myself." Leomon continued as Starshot's digivice rang.
"Starshot, can you get over here there is a problem in the digital world." The text read.
"I can't ask Dino to take care of it." Starshot shot back as he focused in on Leomon again.
"I now pass the speaking role to your principal Sunny." Leomon said before jumping off stage and turning into Gazimon.
"Thank you Gazi. Now as you all know coming to this school is a choice but the participation in it is not. All of you will be traveling into the digital world at least once this year." Sunny said as she looked at Starshot. With those words the rest of the dragonets were talking to one another about this so-called digital world. "Now before we get to have the honor of royalty attending this school, as well as a dragon who has already been to the digital world before. Starshot, would you please come up here?" Sunny said as Starshot looked embarrassed that he had been called up. If his mother was here with Volcdramon it would be even worse the one time she ever talked to him that was their only rule. "Starshot here will be your student leader in the digital world due to his experiences with digimon. He will lead any expedition into the digital world for now. For anyone who would like to challenge him for that spot do know that…" Sunny exclaimed.
Starshot had spaced out for the rest of the speech but one thing that caught his ear was his digivice buzzing. Finally he looked at it and bolted out of the hall and back to his dorm room opening a portal and running through it. "Starshot!" Quilbi said before following him into the portal. "Starshot, what's going on? Are you skipping the entrance ceremony as well?"
"DORUMON!" Starshot shouted as he emerged from the portal to see Dinorexmon attacking the young digimon.
"Good you came!" Dorumon exclaimed before dodging another blast of Dinorexmon's blast.
"Come on Dorumon, let's digivolve and beat this guy!" Starshot said, holding his digivice out, and pressing the digivolution button on it.
