"What the?" Starshot said as his digivice turned back to normal and Dorumon stood there not in his digivolved state.
"Ogre Flame!" Dinorexmon called his eyes glowing a burning red, almost hitting the two dragonets with a ball of napalm.
"What! Herrismon!" Quilbi shouted as he dodged the attack with the little hedgehog and him taking to the sky.
"Brother I think it's best we retreat!" Dorumon called out jumping on Starshot's back as the two lifted off.
"Starshot, who the hell was that?" Quilbi asked as the two flew through the air with their digimon holding on for dear life as they moved away from the grounds Dinorexmon patrolled.
"Dinorexmon? He is the protector of the digital campus." Starshot said thinking about what could have made him that angry at Dorumon. "Sure you annoy him sometimes but what did you do this time?"
"Nothing I swear he was just trying to stop this Black Ring from hitting me then it attached itself to him and now he is like that!" Dorumon said as the group landed next to a cave.
"So this Black Ring you think if we destroy it somehow we could turn him back to normal?" Quilbi asked as Starshot looked around to see Dinorexmon's trail of destruction in the distance.
"Well no time to think in the cave now!" Starshot said as the sound of trees cracking in the distance caused the two dragonets to run into the cave. "Stay quiet, we don't know how far he is." Starshot said as the group almost silenced if it wasn't for Herrismon's whisper to Quilbi before Dinorexmon looked into the cave a blast charging in his mouth before walking away not noticing the dragon's inside. "I think we are safe." Starshot said as Herrismon walked to the back of the cave.
"Quilbi look eggs." Herrismon said as the two dragonets walked towards the place Herrismon stood.
"You right what are eggs doing here? Isn't there a place where digimon eggs are held to hatch?" Quibli asked as he tried to pick up one of the eggs. "Why is this thing so heavy? It's almost like it's chained to the ground!" He said trying to grab an egg with a symbol on it matching Starshot's crest.
"Here let me give it a shot." Starshot said as the comically pulled the egg out of its holding place with a small pop.
"What? How are you so strong?" Quibli asked as Starshot started on the next egg having the same trouble as Quibli did. "Hm guess it was just luck."
"Oh just luck!? Why don't you give it a try hotshot?" Starshot said thinking that Quibli counden't.
"Well would you look at that." Quibli said as Starshot turned around to look at the sandwing holding the egg with the crest of light on it.
"Color me impressed now let's get these to a sa-" As Starshot was saying this a roar could be heard of Dinorexmon returning.
"Starshot we have to go now!" Dorumon shouted as he grabbed the egg. "Herissmon grab the other one and let's get going!"
"Right." Herrismon said in his normal voice now louder than normal.
As the dragonets and their digimon run out of the cave they start to take off towards the school only for the massive dino to come crashing into the hill behind them. The next couple of seconds were filled with silence before the roar from Dinorexmon caused Herrismon to trip the egg falling out of his paws. "Herrismon!" Dorumon shouted as he ran into a blast from Dinorexmon with his egg in hand. Suddenly a bright light had come out of the egg holding the blast back before defecting it. "Dorumon Armor digivolve to!" Dorumon called out as the spirits of a Dorugamon, Dorugreymon, and Dorugoramon came out of the egg almost smiling down on their user. Once the spirits made their appearance they were absorbed by Dorumon as he started to grow larger and stand more upright, his squirrel-like tail splitting into two and his body adopting a more upright stance and covered in a light orange armor that covered his arms, legs and chest. A Helmet bearing the Crest of unity was added onto Dorumon's head before it grew to fully cover the head. Finally his two small bat like wings grew to be about the same size as Starshot's own wings.
"Dorudgemon! The knight of unity!" The Armor digimon shouted as the light that surrounded him burst out and there stood the warrior born from the egg. "Sorry Rex, but you will forgive me eventually. Metal Stream!" Dorudgemon shouted as he put his hand up and fired a stream of a black liquid metal from his hand eventually trapping Dinorexmon in the now solid metal. "Alright let's get that collar off you. Dragon's Tooth!" He shouted, manifesting a sword made of the same black metal from his previous attack then letting out a slash across Dinorexmon's head breaking the collar and in turn his eyes returned to normal.
"Dorudgemon what happened I thought you couldn't digivolve?" Starshot asked as the Armor digimon flapped his wings.
"No clue I guess this is the power of the egg." Dorudgemon said as he landed in front of Starshot. "But I could get used to this power." He exclaimed before glowing orange, and turning back into Dorumon.
"Then again it's always good to be me." Dorumon said as he fell to the ground. "Anyway, some food is nice."
"What the hell are we doing out here?" Dinorexmon said as he came around the metal around his feet vanishing as the armor digimon vanished.
"Hey Rex a black ring came around your neck, then you started to attack everything that moved." Dorumon said, acting out the moves Dinorexmon did before being freed. "Then I got all big and strong and turned into an armor digimon!"
"Sounds like a good fight, young one." Dinorexmon said with a smile.
"Ok you two let's get back to the digital campus before…" Starshot started to say as the sound of a motor came into earshot. "He is coming quickly back to the campus before he knows it was us!" Starshot said, grabbing Dorumon and taking off at top speed.
After the group arrived at the digital campus they noticed a class being held seemingly not knowing what happened. Stuned they see the group covered in dirt and grime after the battle now out of breath due to the running. Looking down at the class Qibli gave a small smile after seeing who was in the room. The group of course gave an eye roll except for a Rainwing who had given a wave to the returning party. "Qibli, Starshot, Dorumon, Herrismon what's up!" The Rainwing said as Starshot noticed what the group in front of him was. The Jade Winglet.
"Quite the entrance Starshot." Mastermind said as he watched the class before giving a glare to the two Dragonets. "I've never heard of someone wiping out a whole section of a forest for a fight. Isn't that right Solarmon?" Mastermind said as his Blimpmon turned into Solarmon.
"Affirmative." Solarmon said as Mastermind signed for the two to go sit down.
"Now let us discuss the…" Mastermind would say before being interrupted by the sound of beating wings.
"Why hello there dragons what a fine community you have here now lets see what you guys look like under the talons of the new ruler of the Digital World!" a voice called as a platform descended. "You can call me Silverbolt. If that does not fit Queen Silverbolt will do just fine." The Icewing said as it flew down to the ground level a legion of digimon stayed in the air controlled by black rings. "So tell me how do you like my army fun no? We came here to look for the old ruler of this mountain, a DexDorugoramon I believe."
"Don't you ever bring up that name again!" Starshot and Dorumon shouted as the Icewing looked down on them, her size being apparent as she even towered over the Skywing that was part of the Jade Winglet.
"Oh I see what happened here. You are DexDorugoramon, and you let yourself be defeated then joined this puny dragonet?" Silverbolt said as Dorumon's fur started to spike up and his eyes turned into slits like a cat.
"What did we tell you to keep that name away from us!" They shouted as Starshot's digivice started to glow a pale orange with the words Warp Digivolution appearing.
"Oh a Digivolution, too bad they don't work around here anymore." Silverbolt said as the light of evolution never came to the duo.
