Tommy was currently in his house while getting ready for his date with Tula. He wasn't exactly sure what she had planned as she said she wanted to keep it a surprise for him.
Seems that she also talked it over with his parents and wherever it was that she had planned was okay with them. And ironically that didn't ease his mind as he wondered what she would need his parent's full permission to do.
"Tommy!" Caitlin called through the door of the bathroom. "Tula is here."
Tommy then quickly grabbed his jacket from the hangar and threw it on. "I'll be right out."
Caitlin then left her son to quickly finish getting himself ready and heading out. When he started to make his way out towards the living room, he saw Tula standing in the middle of the room with her Atlantian clothing on.
"Hey, Tommy. Ready to go?" Tula asks him as she had this giant smile on her face.
"Uh, sure, where are we going?" Tommy asks, confused by the look. "Or am I gonna be kept in the dark the entire time?"
"Well, I thought that maybe you would've been inserted in seeing my home," Tula admitted with a smile.
Tommy was shocked when he heard this as he was being told he was going to Atlantis. "Atlantis? You wanna take me to Atlantis?"
"With your powers, you'll be able to withstand the water pressure, as well as the cold," Peter confirmed with a nod and smiled at his son's excitement. "All you need is a scuba suit to breathe."
"And I will be providing that," Tula said as she held up a small device that looked like a disk. "This will keep the oxygen in you and even drain it from the water so you can breathe."
Tommy was shocked and looked between everyone and Tula. "So, when do we leave?"
Tula brought Tommy to the ocean and was standing in the middle of the air inside their Bio-Ship. Tula placed the device on Tommy's chest and a water force field surrounded him, keeping the water inside.
"You okay?" Tula asks him, making sure it's working.
"Well, I'm not drowning." Tommy joked as he took a deep breath. "So...what now?"
"This," Tula said as she pushed a button.
The floor beneath them was then opened and Tommy let out a shriek when they fell. Tula however was able to remain calm as the two of them fell into the water and landed in the middle of the ocean.
Tula then swam over and took Tommy by the hand and then dragged him further and further down into the depths. Seems they were right as thanks to his powers, he was able to descend into the depths of the ocean with no problems. Then there was some form of a current that picked the two of them and Tula started to hold onto Tommy.
Tommy tried to keep his eyes open as he was taking in the deep depths of the ocean that nobody has ever yet seen. As they were going through the darkness of the ocean, a small portion of light started to shine in the far distance. Tommy had to even say he was amazed when he saw the mirrors around the kingdom used to reflect so everyone had light.
As they were swimming around the area, a few people noticed the princess and bowed as they swam around them. Tommy had to admit this was probably the best date he had ever been on. Yet again, this was literally the first date he has ever had.
Tula laughed as she watched Tommy's look of amazement as he eyed their kingdom. Wanting to have a moment to talk with him, she created an air bubble on the bottom of the ocean floor and they both entered it. Tommy deactivated the device since he wouldn't need it with the bubble around them, and he wanted to talk with Tula.
Tommy deactivated the device on his chest and chuckled. "This...this is quite something."
"Well, you showed me your home, thought that it was only fair you be one of the few humans to experience the beauty of Atlantis," Tula said as she held her hand out to the water, shoving some to Tommy, who laughed at the wet. "What do you think?"
"It's pretty nice," Tommy admitted but shrugged and looked at her. "But...I know something even more beautiful."
Tula was a little curious about what he was referring to. "And what would that be?"
Tommy walked up and knew that what he was going to say was bound to be corny. "You."
Tula let out a disgusted groan as she knew that was corny, but she knew it came from a place of heart. She then leaned over and pulled him in for a kiss Tommy then returned the action.
They were two kids, standing on the bottom of the ocean, just trying to be a normal couple for a few seconds.
This was the best day of their lives.
