While waiting for Arizona and her father to return from the dining room, Callie was half-engaged in her conversation with her mother and Barb while she watched Daniel stand solemnly in the background then eventually amble away with his hands in his pockets and a pensive expression on his face. She observed while he stared out the large glass window and was certain she knew what was on his mind because something had been weighing heavily on her as well since all the excitement died down. Excusing herself, she crossed the lobby and joined her father-in-law at the window. Callie stuck her hands in her pockets, looked at the floor and somberly declared, "You look how I feel." Continuing to stare out the window, Daniel muttered, "And how is that?" Callie watched as the porters loaded the bassinets into the hotel van and quietly admitted, "I should have defended my wife. I wanted to. I wanted to hit that bitch so hard…it was all my fault she was even there and she knew exactly how to get to me." Daniel glanced over and saw the tears glistening in shame-filled brown eyes, held his arm out, curled it around Callie's shoulder, pulled her close and argued, "No, you didn't bring this on. You were both attacked and I should have stood up for my girls." Callie leaned her head on Daniel's shoulder and commented, "In our defense, my father didn't give us much of a chance." Daniel chuckled, shook his head, and replied, "No, he really didn't. Should that bother me as much as it does?"
Callie pondered his question for a minute, then reflected on Arizona's long and complex relationship with her dad and asked, "Did Arizona ever tell you about the first couple of times she met my father?" The older man furrowed his brow and replied, "I don't believe she did." Callie relayed the story about her father throwing George and Mark against the wall and what Arizona said when she introduced her as the woman she was dating. The Colonel chuckled and asked, "She really said she hoped he drew the line at throwing women against walls?" Callie replied, "She did, all with her blue eyes twinkling and that adorable dimpled smile on her face." Daniel shook his head and smiled slightly as he stated, "I can see it." Callie nodded and relayed, "It wasn't funny then, but it's kind of become a private joke between the two of them over the years. The second time she met up with him, I didn't even know about it until years later."
Daniel furrowed his brow in confusion, and Callie explained, "He'd brought a priest to meet with me to pray away the gay." Daniel turned his head, looked at her incredulously, and inferred, "I can't imagine she kept her mouth shut about that one." Callie shook her head and answered, "From my understanding, she approached him and told him the story about coming out to you. She told him your only concern was whether or not she was still the person you raised her to be. She went on to tell him you bent for her because she was your daughter and taught her to be a good man in a storm and she protected the ones she loved. She told him she loved me long before she ever told me, and she also told him I was still the person he raised me to be. That same night and to this very day, he has loved and supported me, both of us, like you do. The things he said today, pushing Hahn up against the wall, I think that was my dad's way of paying her back, of paying you both back. He once told me she taught him how to be a better parent. He wanted to defend her honor, like she defended me all those years ago and has continued to do throughout our lives. He wanted to be her good man in a storm."
Daniel nodded, then smirked and admitted, "I still wish that would have been my hand around that woman's neck." Callie agreed, "Me too, but at least he saved us from going to jail today. Our hands are a little more lethal than his. You and I both know exactly which bone to snap." Daniel laughed and Callie sobered as she said, "You've always been there for me Daniel, you've always defended me and been supportive even when I didn't deserve it. Arizona and I both know if my dad hadn't spoken up first, you would have." Daniel nodded, kissed her forehead and offered, "Thank you Callie, I needed to hear that." Callie tilted her head and replied, "I think I needed to remind myself of that too. Sometimes I forget it's not me and her against the world anymore." Daniel nodded toward the door where the noisy group of friends were gathering and claimed, "You two have built yourselves quite a little village and by the way they all closed ranks around you, I don't think that's anything you'll ever have to worry about." Callie chuckled and replied, "They're annoying but they're ours." Hearing Arizona's lilting laughter, Callie turned to see her wife and father walking together with his arm wrapped around her shoulder, kissed Daniel's cheek and suggested, "No matter what our chosen family looks like, we have our fathers and we know neither of you would let anything happen to us." Daniel nodded and the two of them returned to their family arm in arm.
Though she was laughing with Carlos, Arizona couldn't help but notice her wife and her father were engaged in what seemed to be a more serious discussion. As soon as they joined the group, she watched her father go to Carlos, extend his hand and pat him on the back, while she immediately went to Callie's side and whispered, "What was that all about?" Knowing exactly what Arizona would say, Callie blushed, looked down at her feet, rubbed the back of her neck, and sighed, "Your dad and I, we were feeling a little guilty for ah…" Arizona tilted her head, understanding what her wife wasn't saying, and interjected, "First of all, you should both know by now, no one needs to defend me. Secondly…" She leaned up, brushed their lips together, and finished, "Thank you, but there's nothing to feel bad or guilty about, I'm just fine and I think your dad needed to do that." Callie smiled and agreed, "Yeah I kinda figured that out while I was talking to your dad."
Arizona rested her head on Callie's shoulder and asked, "Are you sure that's all it is? Seeing her again didn't upset you? She said some pretty nasty…" Callie cut her off with a brief chaste kiss and answered, "The only thing her little show did was make me see how lucky I was that a hot little blonde followed me into a dirty bar bathroom and how fortunate we are to have so many people who love and respect us." Arizona lifted her head, looked into clear brown eyes filled with nothing but love and contentment, realized that her wife truly had no lingering doubts or feelings, brushed their lips together in a longer, more meaningful way, and assured, "I'm sure that's the last we've heard from her and this hot blonde would follow you anywhere." Callie smiled, kissed her forehead and replied, "That's all that matters."
The two were interrupted by Maria wiggling her way between them and tossing her arms over their shoulders asking, "Are you two good here? No more exes coming out of the woodworks now?" Callie laughed, shook her head and replied, "Nope, that covers it for me. All the rest of mine are dead." Arizona snorted and replied, "All my ghosts already reared their ugly heads, so I think we are good now." Maria nodded, slapped both women on the back and offered, "About damn time. Now enjoy your babymoon." She turned to walk away, then called out, "Oh, and be careful. We don't need any unplanned triple headers coming our way anytime soon." Callie put her head in her hands and muttered, "Oh for the love of God." Arizona laughed out loud and chirped, "Hey, I'm just happy I got the jargon right and didn't mix my sports." Callie shook her head, took Arizona's hand, and suggested, "Come on slugger, let's take little miss upstairs so she can pick out some treats to take with her, choose what we want to keep with us, then send the rest down for my parents to take to the airport." Arizona nodded in agreement and it was decided that Barb and Lucia would join them while Carlos checked out of their suite and Daniel remained in the lobby to make sure everything was packed up properly.

Arizona sat on the sofa in the sitting room, zipped up Sofia's coat, and reminded her, "Don't forget to call and say goodnight and mama and I will pick you up early Wednesday afternoon for our special Valentine's Day lunch date." Sofia kissed her mommy's cheek, bent down to kiss her belly, and responded, "I promise I won't forget." Sofia turned to Callie, reached up for a hug, and squealed when she was scooped up and her mama blew raspberries into her neck. When she was finished with her attack, Callie kissed Sofia's little red cheek, put her back on her feet and commanded, "Be good for grandma and grandpa and take lots of pictures." Sofia nodded, clung to her neck and whispered, "Take care of my babies." Callie winked and replied, "Of course." Both women hugged Daniel and Barb, and Lucia turned to them and requested, "Could you tell Carlos and Aria I'll be right down please?" Barb nodded, hugged the other woman, waited for Sofia to say goodbye to her abuela, then they left, closing the door behind them.
Callie and Arizona watched while Lucia stood by the door, twisting her hands together nervously, and avoiding eye contact with either one of them. Finally, Arizona gently reached for her hand, led her to the sofa and asked, "What's bothering you Lucia?" Callie furrowed her brow and commented, "You've been rather quiet today, what's on your mind mami?" Trying to think of what could have upset her mother-in-law, Arizona gasped, squeezed her hand and started, "I'm so sorry, I was extremely rude earlier. I didn't mean to embarrass or offend…" Lucia shook her head and a small smile formed on her lips as she replied, "No it wasn't that dear. Though I could have gone my whole life without being so very well informed of either of my daughters' ah…athletic abilities." Callie blushed in embarrassment, propped herself on the arm of the couch behind Arizona and asked, "Then what is it mami?" Lucia looked up at both women guiltily and admitted, "I've barely been able to sleep or think of anything else since last night and I just felt like I needed to tell you." Callie and Arizona looked at one another quizzically and the blonde offered, "You can tell us anything."
Lucia looked up at the two of them with tears in her eyes and answered, "I can't stop thinking about something each of you said while you were giving your speeches." Callie gripped Arizona's shoulder, smiled when her small hand came up to link their fingers, waited for her mother to gather her thoughts, then listened intently as she admitted, "Calliope, when you said you felt as if you were chosen for orthopedics, that you wondered if you were placed in this specialty to prepare yourself for Arizona's injuries, then Arizona you thanked God for putting her in that specialty, for putting her in your life…I just…" She looked down at the small hand covering hers, turned her hand to link their fingers, and continued, "I abandoned my daughter, you, and my granddaughter because of what I believed, what I was taught to believe that God expected of me. I realized quite a while ago that my thinking was wrong. I didn't know how wrong I was though, even after coming into your lives again, until I heard you say that. I've always believed God puts certain people in our paths at certain times to help us heal and grow. What I didn't recognize until last night and again today, is that God placed you and Calliope together, not just to prepare you or her for this tragedy, but because you belong together. He meant for the two of you to be together as one. Over and over, you've saved one another, you've stood by each other, and even from a distance when you thought all hope was lost, you still loved one another, and now I see, all of this, everything, hopefully not the injury part, but the rest, was in God's plan and I was so wrong to think I knew better."
Arizona turned to look at Callie, both of their eyes welling with unshed tears, while they shared a silent conversation. Callie slid from the arm of the chair to the floor so she was sitting on her knees between her wife and her mother. Taking the box of Kleenex from behind her, she waited while they each took one, wiped her own eyes, then covered the intertwined hands in front of her. Glancing at Arizona once again, she looked at her mother and quietly offered, "Mami, we've already talked about this and we've forgiven you and agreed to move on." Lucia nodded, wiped her eyes, and answered, "You've forgiven me, but sometimes I struggle with how you've done that so easily when I can't even begin to forgive myself. Every time Sofia does or says something so smart or defends you so ferociously, or lets out that adorable little giggle, I can't help but think of how many of those things I missed out on; how I denied myself the opportunity to watch her grow into the person she has become. When your friends all gather and share these stories, talk about these wonderful or horrific times in your lives that I should have been there for, I feel like the worst mother in the world." She shook her head, wiped the tears from her eyes again, and when she looked like she had more to say, Arizona shook her head and cut her off.
Bending her head to look into tortured brown eyes that so very much resembled her wife's, Arizona smiled softly and admitted, "When Calliope and I first got back together, we did much the same thing. We'd forgiven each other but struggled with forgiving ourselves. We realized we missed so much of each other's lives that we wouldn't have had to, if only we'd spoken up sooner. We finally came to the agreement that things happened when they were meant to happen and no 'what if' in the world could change that." Callie squeezed their hands, nodded and continued, "You're the person who taught me to believe God puts people in our lives at certain times for certain reasons and I believe, even though I swear daddy had a hand in it, God put us all in The Aria that day because it was time. Yes mami, we missed out on a lot of each other's lives, but there's so much left to enjoy. Can we…can we focus on that? You were here for our second marriage, you've watched your grandchildren grow from tiny little seeds, you were here when Arizona opened her clinic and when I won this award. These are the things that matter to us now." Arizona leaned forward, kissed the older woman's cheek and added, "These are the things we wouldn't have you miss out on for anything in the world. Please let go of the hurt you feel you've caused and enjoy the happiness surrounding you now."
Lucia nodded, pulled both women into a tight hug, and whispered, "You two are certainly a force to be reckoned with." Callie shrugged and simply replied, "We were made for each other." Lucia pulled back, lifted her hands so she was caressing one tan cheek and one pale cheek and replied, "You most certainly were. I love you both so much." They each smiled and returned, "We love you too." Lowering her hands to her lap, Lucia sighed, and declared, "Thank you for indulging me. I should go before…" Her words were cut off by a sharp knock on the door, making all three of them laugh and Callie finish, "Before daddy comes looking for you." She then rose to her feet, helped her mother and wife stand, and they escorted her to the door. After another round of goodbyes, promises to keep them posted about the babies, and Lucia and Carlos both whispering to Arizona's belly, the last of their supporters finally left, leaving the two women alone.
Callie closed the door, sagged against it, and muttered, "So much for our simple relaxing brunch. I love them all, but I thought they'd never leave." Just for good measure, she opened the door, put out the 'Do Not Disturb' sign, and promised, "I swear I'm not opening that door again unless it's room service." Arizona chuckled, wrapped her arms around Callie's neck, nibbled on her bottom lip, and agreed, "That sounds amazing." She then lowered her hands, started unbuttoning Callie's shirt and suggested, "Our babymoon has officially begun and I can think of no better way to kick it off than with a long hot bath followed by a nice relaxing nap." Callie started guiding Arizona backward toward the bedroom, nodding her head and answering, "Yes please."

After ordering their dinner from the extravagant hotel restaurant and sending Lorraine a text asking her to overnight a package she'd left in her desk drawer in her office, Callie strolled into the bedroom and pulled two bottles of water out of the pockets of the fluffy hotel robe she put on after waking from their nap. Placing one on Arizona's bedside table, she went to her side of the bed, climbed in, and fluffed up the pillows so they could both sit against the headboard. She smiled when Arizona emerged from the bathroom in her own plush robe and went straight for her laptop, then teased, "I thought we agreed no working." Arizona tossed the computer on the bed, sat on the edge, removed her leg, and answered, "We aren't working, we are shopping." Callie arched her brow in question and asked, "What are we shopping for?" With her wife's help, Arizona settled herself against the pillows and chirped, "A shelf." Callie shook her head and asked, "You were serious?" Arizona arched her brow in challenge and responded, "Of course I was serious Calliope. This is special and I'm sure the first of many awards you will receive." Callie leaned over, nipped her earlobe and corrected, "The first of many WE will receive." Arizona smiled and agreed, "We, along with our children's various accomplishments. We still haven't properly displayed Sofia's Hero of the Week Award. Right now, it's just hanging on the wall in her room." Suddenly seeing a cabinet full of Catherine Fox Awards, blue ribbons, baseball, soccer, and photography trophies, Callie became a little more excited, scooted closer, and waited while Arizona pulled up their favorite online shopping site.
Callie pointed out one cabinet with four shelves and asked, "What about this one? It matches the furniture we have now." Arizona looked at it and agreed, "It's gorgeous but the glass shelving goes all the way down." Callie furrowed her brow in confusion and argued, "I thought that was the point." Arizona nodded and agreed, the point is definitely to showcase awards, it is not to clean 30 tiny little fingerprints off of it every day." Callie cringed and replied, "Good point." Arizona gestured to a similar cabinet that hung on the wall and asked, "What about this one?" It looks like the rest of our furniture and I like how it is rounded at the corners." Suddenly another thought occurred to her and she shrieked, "Oh my God Callie! We have to baby proof everything. We will need those ugly bumpers on all of our tables and shelves and counters and…" She stopped when she noticed the blank stare on Callie's face and asked, "What?"
Callie shook her head and replied, "We don't have any sharp edges in our house Arizona." The blonde furrowed her brow and replied, "Of course we do, the coffee table and dining table are…" Callie finished, "Oval." Arizona added, but the cabinets are all…" "Curved Arizona, even the China cabinet is rounded at the corners," Callie reminded her. Arizona shook her head and asked, "How…um why? You're all edgy and clean lines." Callie shook her head and replied, "Because you used to complain that your crutches and chair caught on the corners of things or sometimes it was hard to dodge around sharp edges and your hips would get bruised, so I made sure everything was…" Arizona looked at her incredulously and finished, "Curved." She shook her head, leaned up to brush their lips together and asked, "How the hell did I not notice?" Callie smirked and replied, "Because you haven't run into anything." Arizona shoved her shoulder and commanded, "Shut up."
After choosing a few shelving units they were interested in, Arizona pulled up her saved wish lists, created a new one and added them to it. Seeing the different titles of the wish lists, Callie pointed to one labeled, 'Trips' and asked, "What's that one?" Arizona clicked on the list and blushed slightly when what seemed to her to be a never ending list of baby clothes and supplies appeared on the screen and she explained, "Since we found out I was pregnant, I may have developed a new hobby. Whenever I get bored or overwhelmed, I sign on and go imaginary baby shopping." Callie chuckled and winced when Arizona pinched the inside of her thigh and scolded, "It's not funny Calliope! When did I become this person?" Callie shook her head, rubbed at her thigh and suggested, "Open my account." Furrowing her brow in confusion, Arizona opened a new tab, pulled up the same site, signed into Callie's account and went to her wish lists. She laughed when she found one labeled, 'Gremlins' clicked on the link and sighed, "Now I don't feel so silly," when a list at least twice as long as hers appeared on the screen. Callie kissed her forehead and assured her, "I do the same thing. Though it appears you are far more restrained than I am." Arizona laughed and returned, "Oh no, I've had to go through and remove things multiple times." Callie laughed and suggested, "Why don't we compare both lists, combine them, then we can decide what we are going to buy, and start a baby registry for the rest."
Arizona smirked and replied, "I already opened one, I just didn't want to add to it until we had a chance to sit down together and talk about it." Callie laughed and replied, "Well I guess that's what babymoons are for isn't it?" Arizona leaned in, brushed their lips together, and murmured, "Hmm among other things." Just as the kiss deepened and the laptop was pushed aside, they both groaned in frustration when they heard a hard rap on the door followed by a muffled, "Room service." Callie crawled off the bed and suggested, "I'll bring it in here and we can continue the registry while we eat." Arizona picked up the laptop and quipped, "As long as we get dessert at some point." Callie winked and purred, "Oh you can count on that." While Callie was answering the door, Arizona perused her wife's list and couldn't help but chuckle at the number of items they had both chosen that were exactly the same. She had just started compiling the lists into one when Callie returned with the room service tray. She set the laptop aside and wriggled and tossed herself around until she was finally able to sit on the edge of the bed.
Callie stared at her in amusement and informed her, "I'm right here. You could have asked for help." Arizona pouted, "Sometimes I forget I can't do it by myself and by the time I remember, I'm determined to do it alone just to prove I can." Callie laughed, sat down beside her, kissed her on the temple and murmured, "One of the many things I love about you." Arizona glared at her and asked, "My roly-poly impression?" Callie tried not to laugh and answered, "No, your stubbornness." Arizona smiled and replied, "That's good because I think we're both stuck with that trait." Callie nodded, removed the cloches from their plates and both women closed their eyes and inhaled the heavenly scents wafting through the air. Since they were alone, they didn't bother swapping food and just ate from one another's plates. Callie cut into her steak, fed Arizona the first bite and asked, "So did we have many of the same things on our lists?" Arizona swallowed, took a sip of her iced tea and replied, "Except for the extra things you had that I didn't, our lists were nearly identical." Callie stopped mid-chew and muttered a muffled, "Identical." Arizona nodded her head, continued eating, and almost choked when she saw the horrified look on Callie's face.
Hearing the word "identical" set off alarm bells in Callie's mind and she repeated the word and felt chills of fear run down her spine. She carefully swallowed her food, put down her knife and fork, then stared off into the distance with horrifying images clouding her vision, only to be broken from her trance when she heard Arizona's panicked voice ask, "Calliope, what is it? Are you okay?" Callie looked at Arizona, blinked a few times to clear her mind and nearly screamed, "Identical." She stood up, started pacing the room and muttered, "No, no, no. The boys are going to be identical twins Arizona. What if I can't tell them apart? What if I'm bathing them and you tell me to put the yellow pajamas on Tulio and I put them on Aggie and get my boys mixed up and we call them by the wrong name their whole lives?" She ran her hands through her hair and continued in a high pitched voice, "They'll be identical, so they'll have the same hair color, eye color, and oh God…the dimples, and birthmarks, even the same DNA Arizona! There will be no way to tell them apart." She threw her hands in the air, began walking faster and kept on, "Then when they get old enough, they'll try to trick us, they'll switch places and I won't know who is who and neither will they because I messed up and switched them at birth! Tulio will pretend to be Aggie and Aggie will pretend to be Tulio, but because I put the wrong pajamas on them when they were a week old, Tulio who is pretending to be Aggie will REALLY BE Aggie!" She stood in the middle of the room, tugging at the hair on the top of her head, and mumbled, "We'll get them tattoos. As soon as they are born, we will have a tattoo artist come into the hospital. No, we will get them chipped and buy a scanner. Ooh we could pierce one of their ears. But what if he doesn't want his ear pierced, or or or we forget whose ear we pierced? There has to be some way to tell them apart." She stopped her rant and turned to scowl at her wife when she heard hysterical laughter coming from behind her.
Arizona tried to be sympathetic and at first she was. In fact, her wife's concerns had instilled a little fear in her as well, and she wondered how exactly they would tell them apart. As Callie went on however, Arizona got confused somewhere in the whole trading places scenario and struggled to keep a straight face. She absolutely lost all hope when Callie started talking about tattoos and piercings and she broke into a full on belly laugh. She was now lying on her side, struggling to catch her breath, tears of joy blurring her vision, and the more Callie scowled at her, the harder she laughed. It didn't at all help that all three babies must have found her laughter contagious and they were wiggling around like crazy making it feel as if they were tickling her from the inside. Callie glared at her wife, who looked like she was about to hyperventilate, stomped her foot, put her hands on her hips and demanded, "Arizona, this is serious!" When she only received another howl of laughter and saw how much her little tantrum had entertained her wife, Callie felt her own lips curl into a smile and as she thought about everything she just said and how ridiculous she sounded, she started laughing as well and joined Arizona on the bed as they both laughed their asses off at her little panic attack.
Finally settling themselves down, Callie and Arizona lay facing one another and Arizona started giggling all over again while she explained, "I'm sorry but all I can see now is this baby with a tuft of blonde hair sticking up in a mohawk, a white onesie, black leather diaper, and a heart tattoo that says 'mama' in the middle of it on his upper arm." Callie's face sobered and she replied, "Our son would be way more badass than that. I was thinking, 'Bad to the Bone.'" Both women broke into a fit of giggles again and Arizona pointed at Callie, moved her finger around in a circle and declared, "Ah I see what you did there. Cute, but our children are not getting tattoos, or piercings, or chips." Callie sat up, pulled Arizona with her, and proclaimed, "Well then you figure something out while I go heat up our food." While Callie gathered their plates, Arizona opened another tab and typed, 'How to tell twins apart' into the search bar. She was rather relieved when several articles appeared which included easy tips and tricks for parents to tell their identical newborns apart. She found several things that were helpful, but she loved the idea of one particular trick and they could do it for all three babies and even for Sofia.
When Callie returned, she set the plates down in front of them, chuckled and declared, "I know I sounded like a lunatic, but now that I think about it, I'm a little worried honey." Arizona caressed her face, nodded and replied, "Me too, you just lost me at tattoo." They both started giggling again, Arizona took a bite of her pasta and Callie asked, "So did you find anything?" Arizona nodded, swallowed her food and replied, "I did, and once I thought about it, I realized many of my patients do the same things. I gave a set of identical twin girls their shots and noticed they each had one toenail painted a different color. Oh and one dad wrote the initials of his boys on their heels with sharpie. We could still do identical outfits, because I know we both want that, but we could assign a specific color to each boy, or we could use different colored socks, hats, ties, or other accessories. When they get older, we will be able to tell by their personalities and facial expressions, maybe even when they are first born. I did find something I love though and we can even get Sofia one so she doesn't feel left out." Callie took a drink of her tea and asked, "What's that?" Arizona reached behind her for her laptop, pointed to the page she had just been looking at and chirped, "Personalized ankle bracelets. We could just get the beaded kind for the babies, but there are also these silver and gold ones and I thought maybe we could get Sof one of those and give it to her as a big sister gift when they are born."
Callie grabbed Arizona's face, gave her a smacking kiss, and exclaimed, "I love it! My wife is a genius." Arizona laughed and replied, "I'm glad you like it. I thought it would be so cute." Callie nodded, looked at the different options, and declared, "I like the idea of getting the gremlins the beaded bracelets, but can we also get them each a silver or gold one, just for a keepsake?" Arizona smiled brightly and agreed, "I think that would be an amazing idea." Turning back to their meals, Callie asked, "So are we still agreed on the names or have you thought of something else?" Arizona smiled and replied, "I love the names we picked. Are you sure about Rainbow's name? It's not too…I don't know…" Callie nodded fervently and replied, "I will fight you on that one. It's my favorite." Arizona's eyes welled with tears, she kissed Callie's cheek, and murmured, "You won't have to, it's my favorite too." Callie picked up the laptop, typed in the four first names for the personalized bracelets and asked, "Silver for the boys and gold for the girls?" Arizona nodded in agreement, then pointed to the beaded options and demanded, "That one for Rainbow, ohhh with that little charm on either side." Callie nodded in agreement, then chose one in various colors of blue and asked, "This one for Aggie with these two charms?" Arizona nodded and replied, "How about the red one for Tulio with these two charms?" Callie looked at her, arched her brow, and Arizona stated, "Think about it for a minute." Callie started laughing, picked the bracelet with the two charms Arizona requested, then sent in the order.
After finishing their dinner, the two women settled against the headboard once again and focused on their baby registry. Callie pointed to an item on Arizona's list and commented, "Oh, I love that little pacifier for giving medicine. Do you remember how we'd end up wearing the first two doses whenever we tried to give Sofia anything?" Arizona laughed and asked, "Why do you think it's on my list?" Callie laughed and asked, "Do we still agree on the chupo front?" Arizona nodded and they both stated, "Only when necessary." While typing 'pacifier' in the search bar Callie added, "Though I'm assuming since there are more of them than there are of us, it may become even more necessary." Both women gasped when they saw the large variety of pacifiers appear on the screen and Arizona commented, "They sure have changed since Sof was a baby. Look at that one." Callie narrowed her eyes and asked, "Is that vampire teeth? These things look like those nasty wax candies we got for Halloween." Arizona chuckled, pointed at a picture and stated, "Those look normal and they have little fishies on them, how about them?" Callie added them to their registry and started to exit out of the site.
Her hand hovered over the mouse pad as she stated, "Okay, final question, are we doing all cloth diapers or are we supplementing with disposable for when we are out or leave them with a babysitter?" Arizona pursed her lips and replied, "I'm really not excited about carrying dirty diapers in a hot car if we take long trips or leaving a babysitter to clean cloth diapers. So we should definitely add disposable. Oh and wipes, lots and lots and lots of wipes." Callie laughed, hit the link for diapers and asked, "Same brand?" Arizona nodded, then started giggling when Callie pointed to something on the screen and asked incredulously, "What the hell is a pee pee teepee?" Tilting her head, Arizona answered, "Exactly what it sounds like." Callie read the description and hissed, "That's a thing?" Arizona laughed even harder and replied, "No, that's for the thing. You cover up the boys' penis while changing them so you don't, you know…get um, tinkled on." Callie scrunched up her nose and asked, "Boys do that?" Arizona laughed louder and asked, "Callie, how many times did we have to get a new diaper before we even finished changing Sofia? It will be the same with the boys except…they go up instead of down." Callie's eyes bulged, then she immediately clicked, 'Add to registry,' making Arizona laugh even harder.
Reaching over, Arizona clicked save, closed the browser, took the laptop from her wife, laid it on the bedside table, turned on her side and proclaimed, "Okay, that's all the baby time for now. It's mama time." Callie arched her brow in that sexy way Arizona loved so much, turned to face her, trailed her finger down the top of her robe, pulling it apart so she could skim the inside curve of her breast with her fingertip, and asked, "Mmm and what exactly does mama time entail?" Arizona reached for the tie of Callie's robe, gave it a light tug, watched as it fell open, lifted her hand to push it off Callie's shoulder, leaned forward, started kissing her neck while caressing her hip and whispered, "Whatever mama wants." Callie pulled the tie on Arizona's robe, ran her hand up her bare swollen abdomen to her full breasts, kneaded them gently, then whispered, "For some reason, I feel the urge to play baseball." Arizona nipped at Callie's collar bone, lifted her head, sucked her full bottom lip into her mouth, released it with a pop and answered, "Batter up." Callie deepened the kiss, leaving no doubt what team she played for.

Arizona felt something soft and velvety brush against her cheek and though she wanted to be grouchy for being awoken out of a deep sleep, the sweet aroma of what she was certain was a rose, made it nearly impossible not to smile. As the object drifted across her lips and down her neck, only to be followed by her wife's silky luscious lips and the sleepy, sexy, husky tone of her voice cajoling, "Happy Valentine's Day Mrs. Robbins-Torres," Arizona opened her eyes to see Callie's warm dark chocolate eyes staring back at her lovingly. She caressed Callie's smooth cheek, slipped her hand around the back of her head, pulled her closer and murmured, "Mmm Happy Valentine's Day," against her lips before engaging in a long slow sensual kiss. Callie closed her eyes, skimmed her tongue against Arizona's and let out a whimper when Arizona's hand slid from her neck and her fingertips slid down her chest with a barely there touch, causing goosebumps to rise on her skin. Arizona's fingers came to a halt when she reached her breast and slowly circled her nipple until Callie could feel it begin to tighten and pucker, sending jolts of pleasure straight to her core.
Still holding the flower in her hand, Callie continued to brush it against Arizona's skin until she too stopped at her breast, grazing it across her nipple with feather light touches. Arizona moaned and arched into the touch, silently begging for more. When she only received more of the tickling sensation against her breast, she decided to demonstrate what she needed and pinched and rolled Callie's tight mocha bud between her fingers. Callie's breath hitched at the unexpected but welcome shock, causing her to break this kiss only long enough for each of them to catch their breath and Arizona to command, "Touch me." Nodding in compliance, Callie tossed the rosebud to the floor and rather than return her hand to Arizona's breast, she brushed their lips together briefly and licked a path to the needy mound, covering it with her lips and flicking at the strawberry red bud with the tip of her tongue.
Arizona hummed in approval, tossed her head back and continued her ministrations on Callie's breasts with both hands. Feeling Arizona squirm beneath her touch, Callie released the sensitive nipple, tilted her head back to look at the glistening swollen nub, and lowered her head to attend to the other one as her right hand caressed Arizona's back, slid over her hip, and snaked between them to cover her mound, which was dripping with her creamy arousal. Arizona's hips bucked into her hand and she cried out in pleasure when she felt two fingers slip between her lower lips and massage her sex. Of its own volition, Arizona's left hand lightly scratched down Callie's ribcage, around to her tight ass, gave it a firm squeeze, then slipped between her thighs, gathered her excess juices and began circling her clit, evoking a long low growl of satisfaction.
Releasing Arizona's breast, Callie nibbled her way back up her chest, licked and sucked on her pulse point, then kissed up her jawline and effortlessly slipped her tongue between moist pink lips. Arizona gladly welcomed Callie's tongue and the two continued to tease each other with their fingers until their bodies were quivering with need. As they entered one another and slowly began thrusting, Arizona became frustrated with their impeded movements, she needed more than slow gentle lovemaking. She wanted hot, dirty, sweaty sex; she missed it more and more as her body grew to accommodate their children and their options for sexual positions became more limited. What's more, is she knew Callie missed it too and they were both long overdue for a good hard fuck. She broke the kiss, pushed Callie onto her back, propped herself up on one arm, while the other was still embedded in her wife's hot tight channel and gasped out, "More. I need you deep inside me."
Shocked by the sudden movement, Callie lay on her back breathing heavily, looked up into feral blue eyes and knew that her wife wasn't in the mood to go slow, and the words that followed only confirmed her suspicions. She couldn't say she minded though, she loved making love to Arizona, but her body needed the release, the satisfaction that only came from rough, animalistic fucking. Arching her brow, her eyes darted to the other side of the room where their black bag of goodies sat atop the dresser, and without turning to see what she was looking at, Arizona commanded, "Yes!" Both of them cried out in protest when their fingers slid from one another, then Arizona couldn't contain her giggle at how fast Callie hopped off the bed and ran across the room. When Callie got to the dresser, she already knew what she was looking for, reached in, took out the double headed dildo and quickly made her way back to the bed.
Seeing Callie's choice, Arizona grinned mischievously, rolled onto her back, and reached for her leg. After helping Arizona with her leg, Callie returned to her side of the bed, resumed her position on her back, and pulled her wife into a deep searing kiss. Though their bodies hadn't had much time to cool off, their hands wandered and they began to work one another up all over again until this time it was Callie who broke the kiss, begging, "Arizona please." With a little maneuvering, Arizona straddled Callie's legs, picked up the toy, swiped it through her wife's glistening sex, positioned it so it barely stretched her opening, then watched as Callie took the other end, rolled her eyes at the feeling of the cool silicone gliding through her own swollen lips, felt the tip prod at the entrance of her tight channel and they stared into one another's eyes and both cried out in pleasure as they felt the faux penis penetrate and fill them.
They both sucked in a gulp of air while their bodies adjusted and Callie held onto the toy with one hand while moving her other to Arizona's hip to help guide her movements. Arizona lifted herself up slightly, leaned forward, rested her hands on Callie's strong tan shoulders, then lowered herself again with a long lewd moan. Nodding her head to indicate she was ready, Callie slowly began rotating her hips, feeling the toy move inside her and waited for Arizona to pick up the rhythm and watched as her wife began riding her, fascinated by the expression of pure pleasure on her face and the sway of her breasts as their movements sped up. Each time Arizona slid down on the phallus, she drove it deeper into Callie's channel, slamming it up against the spongy g-spot, causing her vision to blur and her cries to increase in pitch and volume.
As their hips moved in tandem with one another, thrusting up and down, their clits bumped against Callie's fist with each downward thrust causing bursts of electricity to flow to every nerve ending in their bodies. As Arizona's hips moved at lightning speed, she could feel her abdomen begin to tighten with the familiar sensation that her orgasm was quickly approaching, but her sole focus was on the captivating woman below her. Struggling to keep her eyes open to stare into the onyx colored eyes of her lover, her attention was drawn to her full breasts bouncing up and down with each hard thrust, the sweat trickling down her chest, the deep grunts emanating from her throat, and that sight alone nearly sent her over the edge. Unable to keep the words from falling out of her mouth, Arizona grunted, "Fuck, you're sexy." Hearing those words, Callie reared up, causing Arizona's arms to slide around her neck for support, captured her lips in a wet sloppy kiss, moved the hand that was on Arizona's hip to the mattress behind her, and began thrusting harder and faster, until they were both drenched in sweat and panting for air.
Knowing their lover's body the way they did, they each knew they were fighting off their climax, savoring the moment, enjoying the pleasure as long as they could. Callie's arm and legs were burning from the strain she was putting on them and she could feel Arizona's body begin to tense and tremble on top of her. Moving her thumb, which was grasping the toy between them, to flick at Arizona's clit, she heard the low keening wail rise from within and felt Arizona's arm snake between them and let out her own cry as she felt the pressure on her tiny bundle of nerves and saw the ever familiar white bursts of light flash behind her eyelids. Tossing their heads back, they each screamed the other's name as their bodies went taut, their hips jerked back and forth, riding out their pleasure, and they finally collapsed in one another's arms, resting their foreheads on the other's shoulder while they tried to catch their breath.
Finally lifting her head, Arizona touched her lips to Callie's throbbing pulse point, tasting the saltiness of her skin and shivering as the toy moved inside her. Slowly lifting her hips, they both groaned in displeasure as they removed the dildo and felt the emptiness inside their still pulsating cores. Callie wrapped her arms around Arizona, lowered them both to the bed so they laid on their sides facing one another, smiled softly, and whispered, "Good morning beautiful." Arizona chuckled, lifted her hand to swipe sweaty curls from Callie's forehead and replied, "I'd say it was a great morning." She leaned forward, brushed their lips together sweetly and whispered, "I love you." Callie caressed her face and answered, "I love you too." As the two stared into one another's eyes, it wasn't lost on them that they were experiencing yet again, a second first, one they each thought they'd lost forever, sharing Valentine's Day with their one true love, the only person who ever owned their heart.
Callie lowered her hand to Arizona's neck, traced her necklace with her fingers, then lifted the charm so it rested on her fingertips, and murmured, "When we first gave these to each other ten years ago, I had no idea how much they would come to symbolize." Arizona ran her fingers down Callie's chest, traced the tiny silver heart with her fingertip, and replied, "I knew that day that we'd given our hearts to each other in more ways than one. Though it may have seemed like a silly romantic gesture to others, these have always been a true symbol of our love and loyalty to each other. The fact that we both have them after all this time, through everything, says a lot." Callie nodded, lowered her head to kiss the charm, then touched her lips to Arizona's, pulled back and responded, "The fact we have each other after all this time, through everything, says a lot more." Arizona ran her fingers through Callie's hair and agreed, "That it does." She then tilted her head, looked at the excitement in Callie's eyes, narrowed her own, and asked, "Are you hinting to me that you want your gift now?" Callie smiled brightly, shrugged her shoulder and replied, "Maybe, or maybe I'm wanting to give you your gift now." Arizona furrowed her brow and asked, "How is my gift here? You didn't know we were staying and we haven't been anywhere but out to dinner and a movie." Callie grinned wickedly, wiggled her eyebrows and teased, "I have my ways." Arizona laughed and quipped, "You mean you have an administrative assistant who sent it to you." Callie pouted, "That doesn't sound as mysterious and romantic though." Arizona kissed her on the cheek and conceded, "Fine, where is this gift that mysteriously and romantically appeared?"
Callie started to turn toward her bedside table, turned back, arched her brow and hopefully asked, "Do I get mine too?" Arizona smiled sweetly, charmed by her wife's childlike excitement, and replied, "Of course you do." They each turned to their nightstands, opened the drawer, turned back around and presented each other with identical black velvet boxes from the same jeweler in New York City and started laughing. Callie shook her head in disbelief and asked, "Did we do it again?" Knowing what she got Callie and based upon the size of the box in her wife's hand, Arizona knew they weren't exactly the same, but the odds were likely that they matched. Arizona handed Callie's box to her, held out her hand for her own gift and suggested, "Let's find out. On the count of three?" Callie nodded, then started, "1, 2, 3." They both opened their boxes and even expecting to find a present similar to the one they purchased, their hearts lurched at the idea that they were so in sync. When Callie looked at her gift, tears sprang to her eyes at what must have been custom made silver cufflinks that matched her heart charm perfectly, except for the 5 miniscule diamonds on the outer curve of each heart and looked up to her wife and asked, "How did you…" Arizona was already removing her signature bar earring and replacing it with the gold heart, which was identical to Callie's cufflinks, and replied, "They didn't have cufflinks, so I bought the earrings and had them reinforced and made into cufflinks, since you don't really wear earrings anymore." Speechless that her wife once again made the effort to show she accepted who she had become so wholeheartedly, all Callie could do was lean in and plant a sweet soft kiss against her lips.
Running her finger over the small diamonds Arizona declared, "Well I would ask if you like them, but I think I already know the answer." Callie nodded and just to reassure her wife, answered, "I love them, thank you." Arizona then tilted her head and asked, "Why did you choose the diamonds? They had the same earrings without the diamonds." Callie reached out, caressed Arizona's soft earlobe which now sported her new earrings and replied, "I imagine for the same reason you did. There are five diamonds on each heart, ten diamonds, ten years." Arizona got a silly grin on her face and a familiar sparkle in her eye, and Callie knew what was coming. At the same time they both said, "Shut up! Are we so well matched that we have the same thoughts?" They leaned into one another and Callie murmured, "I don't find it creepy anymore." Arizona touched their lips together and whispered, "No, but it's still great." Callie nodded, swiped her tongue across Arizona's bottom lip, requesting access, then deepened the kiss as they both laid back on the bed with only one thought in each of their minds.

Callie and Arizona barely reached the front steps of the Robbins' home when the door swung open and they were met with the most adorable sight. Sofia stood in front of them with a huge dimpled grin on her face, her hair was done up in two long braids with red and silver heart bangles, she was wearing a creamy white sweater with a large red sequined heart in the center, red jeans, and silver sequined shoes. Before they could even say anything, Sofia rubbed at the sequins on her sweater, flipping them upward and making them turn silver and squealed, "Look mommies, grandma bought me a magic shirt!" Both women smiled and Arizona pulled Sofia into a hug, nuzzled her neck and exclaimed, "You look so sweet, I just want to eat you up!" Though she loved the attention, Sofia giggled and squirmed and pretended to try to get away. When she finally broke free, she found herself scooped into her mama's arms and slathered with wet messy kisses, making her squeal and giggle until she called out, "I give, I give!" Callie chuckled, put her daughter on her feet, and Arizona asked, "Where are grandma and grandpa?" Before Sofia could answer, they heard Barb call out, "In the den sweet pea."
As they started into the house, Callie remembered she'd left the gifts they'd bought for Arizona's parents in the car, kissed Arizona on the forehead and declared, "I'll be right back. I need to get the presents." Arizona nodded and followed her daughter into the house. As Sofia dragged her mommy into the den, she rambled, "Wait till you see how far we've come on the ship, oh and grandma is letting me help with my quilt. I got to pick out the fabric and everything. I even got to help pick out the material for my babies, but you can't know cuz it's a secret." Daniel chuckled as they entered the room and muttered, "I wonder where she gets her gift of gab." Arizona walked up behind her father, who was sitting at his desk reading a newspaper, kissed him on the top of the head and playfully scolded, "Oh hush you." She then crossed the room to her mother who was already standing up from behind the sewing machine to give her a big hug. Looking behind her, she asked, "Where's Callie?" Entering the room with her hands full of flowers and gift bags, the brunette replied, "I'm right here. I left everything in the car." Daniel quickly stood up to relieve his daughter-in-law of the packages and asked, "What's all this?" Callie handed him a long thin rectangular gift bag and replied, "It's our combined Valentine's Day and thank you gifts. We really appreciate you keeping Sof for us this week."
Daniel scoffed, "You know we don't need any thank you gifts to keep our granddaughter, it's our pleasure." As he removed the box containing a special vintage of aged scotch, he smiled, winked, and added, "But Valentine's Day gifts are always welcome." Callie smirked and replied, "Well Happy Valentine's Day then. Just remember this when we are picking up four kids instead of one." Daniel's smile slipped and he decided, "I might just have to save this for a couple of years." Both Arizona and Callie laughed and Arizona presented her mother with a large bouquet of various colored roses and a bottle of her favorite wine, kissed her cheek and murmured, "Happy Valentine's Day." Barb hugged both women, thanked them, then handed them an envelope and proclaimed, "We didn't know what your plans for the evening were, but we made you reservations for dinner at Mama Maria's. Everything is taken care of." Callie's mega-watt smile bloomed across her face and she asked, "How in the world did you manage that? We've called everywhere trying to get reservations. We were resigned to eating burgers in our room." Barbara smiled and replied, "The owner's mother is in my sewing club." Arizona laughed, hugged her mother and offered, "Thank you so much. This is wonderful and we will most certainly enjoy it." Just realizing it was indeed Valentine's Day, she exclaimed, "Oh my gosh! What about you? Are we ruining plans you had for the evening?"
Daniel smiled and replied, "Not at all! I get the pleasure of escorting two of the most beautiful women in my life to the finest dining establishment in the area." Sofia jumped up and down and exclaimed, "Grandma and grandpa are taking me to Flatbread Pizza and Sacco's Bowl Haven. They said it's my combined Valentine's and birthday dinner. Yesterday we went birthday shopping and I got all kinds of presents. This outfit was one of them." Sofia watched the expression on her mommy's face turn to confusion and missed the fact that she winked at her mama when she asked, "Why are you getting birthday presents?" Sofia hunched her shoulders and wondered if her mommies had forgotten her birthday. Now that she thought about it, they hadn't even asked her what she wanted or if she wanted a party. Sofia pouted, "My birthday is seven days away on the 21st!" She became more frustrated when her mama scratched her head, looked at her mommy and said, "I thought we agreed she couldn't get any older. She has to stay eight forever." Sofia's eyes went wide, she put her hands on her hips and commanded, "You can't just cancel my birthday!" Arizona smirked, shook her head and argued, "Nope, I refuse to have a nine year old. My baby has to stay eight forever." Sofia whined, "You're having three more babies, make them stay eight forever. Nine is soooooo close! All my friends are turning nine, they won't want to be friends with an eight year old. Asides, if I'm nine, I can help with the babies more. Do you want an eight year old to help watch your baby? Nine year olds are more responsible."
Barb and Daniel both had to turn their heads to hide their laughter, they'd both swear they were looking at their own daughter when she was that age. Daniel's entire body was shaking with laughter as he listened to the little girl's very logical reasons for why she should get to turn nine. Neither Callie nor Arizona could look at one another because they knew they would burst out laughing. Sofia was starting to panic, she had become so excited about her birthday, especially after birthday shopping with her grandparents, and now she might not even get to have one. She pointed at both of her parents and accused, "You got birthdays…and…and parties and maybe your parents didn't want you to get older either."
Arizona pursed her lips, mainly to hide her smile, then relented, "I suppose that makes sense. But still, I'm forty and having a nine year old just makes me feel so much older." Sofia went to her mommy, took her hand and sweetly stated, "But you don't look forty, so it's okay if I turn nine." Callie hid her laughter with a cough, which only drew her daughter's attention to her and she relayed the same message, "You're still young mama, no one will think you are old if I'm nine." Sofia felt like she was getting somewhere when her mama tilted her head, looked at her mommy and asked, "What do you think honey? Should we let her have one more birthday?" The little girl looked at her mommy expectantly, watched as she sighed, and jumped up and down when she conceded, "I guess since it's so close, but only this last one. I will not have a ten year old in my house." Callie nodded and agreed, "I think that's fair. It would be a shame to have to cancel that party we had planned this weekend anyway." Arizona snapped her fingers and asked, "Is that what that was for? Silly pregnancy brain." Sofia's head popped up and she asked, "Party? I'm having a party?" She then narrowed her eyes at both parents, put her hands on her hips and accused, "You were never going to cancel my birthday were you?" Callie picked Sofia up, carried her to Arizona, they both kissed her on the cheek and Callie declared, "It was the absolute best day of our life. There's no way we wouldn't celebrate the best thing that ever happened to us." Sofia smiled, then pouted, "That was mean." Arizona nodded and replied, "It was and we're sorry. It was just too fun to tease you." Sofia wiggled out of her mama's arms and proclaimed, "So tell me about this party." Callie laughed and suggested, "Go grab your coat and we will tell you about it over lunch."

Having decided to go to Faneuil Hall Marketplace for lunch and to do a little shopping, Callie was doing her best to keep her two girls from drifting off to all the sweet shops and finally bargained, "Okay, how about lunch first, then we go look at all the sweets." Callie watched as the identical pouts turned to dimpled smiles and Sofia pointed to a nearby restaurant and suggested, "How about there since we missed Taco Tuesday?" Arizona followed the direction of her daughter's hand and read the sign aloud, "Mija Taco Bar, that sounds like the perfect place to take our daughter for her Valentine's Day date." Callie nodded in agreement and smiled at her daughter's exuberance as she skipped a few feet ahead of them.
Noticing Arizona was walking a little slower, Callie became worried and asked, "Are you okay? Maybe this wasn't such a good idea." The blonde blushed and replied, "I'm fine…well pregnancy wise. I'm just a little ahh…achy in some places." Callie threw her head back in laughter and teased, "That last grand slam was a little too much for you huh?" Arizona bumped her shoulder and offered, "Let's just say I'm extremely grateful we have that appointment for the couple's massage after this." Callie arched her brow and muttered, "There's no damn way…" Arizona cut her off and squawked, "Oh my God! Not there. My legs are cramping." Callie sighed and suggested, "I wish you would have said something." Arizona took her hand and replied, "It didn't hurt until we started walking. I'm okay. I promise." Callie lifted their intertwined hands, kissed Arizona's fingers and assured her, "We'll take it slow today."
Once they were seated and gave their orders, Sofia took a sip of her lemonade, folded her hands in front of her and proclaimed, "So tell me about this party." Arizona sucked her lips between her teeth to hide her smile, shook her head, and declared, "Nope, I don't like it. She's already acting like a nine year old. I knew letting her have a birthday was a bad idea." Both women watched as the little brunette arched her brow in challenge, then popped her dimples and chirped, "Too late. Done deal." Callie gasped, looked at Arizona, and asked, "How did she…did you see that?" She then shook her head and muttered, "We have no chance if she'd going to start combining our moves." Sofia giggled and sipped on her straw, then shrugged and declared, "I learned from the best." Both women laughed and were saved from their entirely too grown daughter's antics when their food arrived.
After Sofia repeatedly tried and failed to get information about her party out of her parents, Callie felt sorry for her and declared, "We can promise you it will be fun, it is something you enjoy, and all of your friends will be there. That's all you get." Seemingly satisfied with that answer, Sofia smiled and continued to finish her meal. Arizona tilted her head and offered, "You haven't even mentioned what you want for your birthday." Sofia swallowed her last bite and replied, "That's easy, I want my babies." Arizona choked on her food, causing Callie to pat her on the back and stare at her daughter in shock. After making sure her wife was okay, she asked, "You want the babies to come on your birthday?" Sofia nodded and replied, "Why not? They are all going to have the same birthday and mommy and Uncle Tim had the same birthday. I think it will be fun to share my birthday with my babies."
Arizona took a drink of her water, cleared her throat and explained, "It doesn't quite work that way sweetheart. It's still a little early for the babies to come and we want them to stay in and cook as long as they can so they come out strong and healthy." When Sofia poked out her bottom lip, the blonde added, "And while it was fun to share a birthday when we were little, sometimes it was a pain. We didn't always get to do what we wanted to do for our birthday and we had to share the attention…and the gifts. Your birthday is special and it should be your day." Sofia tilted her head, thought about it for a minute, realized she didn't really want to share gifts, and declared, "Okay. What about a bike?" Both women laughed and Callie agreed, "I think that's a little more doable." Arizona wiped her face with her napkin and asked, "How about right now we focus on getting your Valentine's Day gift? There's a special place we want to take you." Sofia's eyes lit up with excitement, she clapped her hands, bounced in her chair and exclaimed, "Okay, I'm ready!" Callie smiled at her daughter's excitement, sighed in relief, then leaned over to Arizona and whispered, "There's our little girl." Arizona nodded and whispered, "Thank God."
As promised, Callie escorted her family back to the sweet shops they had their eyes on, bought them both Valentine's Day treats, then they proceeded to the special store they'd actually came for. As soon as they got close and Sofia saw the sign above the store they were walking toward, she spun around in a circle and asked, "I get to build my own bear?" Arizona nodded and suggested, "Or horse, dog, unicorn, whatever animal you want." As they walked through the store looking at different types of animals, outfits, and accessories, Callie picked up the empty shell of a panda bear and commented, "Ya know, if you think about it, this place is kind of creepy. We're surrounded by animal carcasses just waiting to be picked and given a good home. It's like a pet cemetery." Arizona turned, glared at her wife, and scolded, "Calliope, that is the most morbid thing I have ever heard." Callie laughed, picked up the closest 'carcass', shook it in front of Arizona, and in a high pitched voice, stated, "Pick me, choose me, love me." Arizona smirked, realized Callie had no idea what she was holding up, snatched it from her and giggled, "You know what, I think I will!" She then walked away and started the process of bringing her animal to life hoping Callie would keep herself occupied and not realize what she was doing.
Before Callie could follow her wife, Sofia ran up to her with a fluffy white and rainbow colored ball of fur and would bet her life on the fact that it was a unicorn. Smiling down at her daughter, she asked, "Did you find one you wanted?" Sofia bounced on her toes and exclaimed, "I did! I want this one, it's a unicorn." Callie smirked, muttered, "Imagine that," then took her to one of the attendants to help them bring her animal to life. After they stuffed the animal, found a special musical heart to hide inside it, and sewed it together, Sofia ran off to find an outfit and accessories.
Left alone once again, Callie looked around the store and finally found her wife who was holding a cardboard animal crate in her hand and wearing a mischievous grin on her face. Callie strolled up to her, shaking her head, and asked, "What did you do?" Arizona's smile grew wider as she reached into the crate, found the button which would cause her new pet to make noise, pushed it at the same time she brought the animal out and showed it to her wife and declared, "I figured since you'll never let me have the real thing, I would take your advice and pick this one." Callie's jaw dropped when she saw her wife holding the ridiculous looking squawking chicken in her hand and couldn't help but laugh. Shaking her head, she asked, "When did I tell you that?" Arizona pointed to the bin they stood by earlier and replied, "Just a little bit ago." Callie hung her head and mumbled, "Of all the animals in this place, I had to hold up a chicken." Arizona leaned up, kissed her nose, and teased, "You can't fight it forever Calliope." Just to taunt her more, she squeezed the noisemaker again, lifted it to her face, bopped her on the nose with its beak, then asked, "What shall we name you huh?" Callie shook her head and followed her wife across the store to look at the unicorn tutus with her daughter. As ridiculous as she felt in that moment, she knew she wouldn't change her life for anything in the world.
A/N: Thank you for your patience! I was hoping to have this up over the weekend, but between the power going out and my hand still out of commission, it wasn't easy.
Okay, I already know I'm taking creative license with Sofia's birthday. When I was looking for Callie and Arizona's original wedding date, I saw that it aired on May 5, 2011. However, if you look up Sofia's birthday on the GA Wikiverse site, it also says May 5-7, 2011…stupid time jumps. We know that Callie and Sofia stayed in the hospital for 3 months and the episode right after their release was the wedding. SO…I got as close as possible to what could have been her birthday due to my own stupid time jump. Therefore, next up, Sofia's birthday.
Also, someone asked if you could start guessing or predicting baby names. Please do. I've had them chosen pretty much from the beginning and they won't change, but I'm interested in seeing what you all come up with.
