Chapter 13: At First Fight
[Mariana, VFA-1.]
I stopped walking and held a hand to my headphones. [VFA-1, Mariana. Go Ahead.]
[VFA-1 has spotted an all out assault on the Musutafu Police Headquarters. Multiple gunmen with at least two confirmed rpg's. Multiple Heroes have been called but not many are equipped for a firefight.]
I turned and began running as fast as possible towards the HQ, generators running at max power. [Casualties?]
[Multiple wounded, 3 policemen KIA.]
I furrowed my brow. [Connect to Dispatch Frequencies and offer support. Guns only unless cleared for heavy ordinance.]
[Roger, VF—]
I felt my fairy die as the comms cut, and my eyes glowed a sickly blue in rage. Every Abyssal and Shipgirl had a sense of their fairies at all times. How they were doing, where they were, what they were doing. So when I felt that connection sever I knew what had happened. One of those bastards had killed one of my pilots…
I leapt into action the second I crossed the intersection. In the brief moment of airtime I had I took in everything. There were a handful of officers in front of the HQ, taking cover behind squad cars and returning fire with their sidearms. Attacking them were about twenty gunmen using a variety of automatic weapons. I spotted everything from MP-5's to AK-47's. Sure enough there were two masked hostels using rpg's, one of which had just destroyed one of the squad cars and the people hiding behind it. Overhead my F6F Hellcats did strafing runs while doing their best to avoid return fire. Down the street was the burning wreck of the previous squad leader's plane. It must've gotten hit by an rpg. The brief moment ended and time resumed to its normal flow as I landed. They were already engaged in a firefight so I forewent any offers of surrender and just started engaging.
Using the recoil of my 16in gun to propel myself I spun and elbowed one of the gunmen across the face before shooting another with my 5in battery. Both were sent to the ground, out cold, but I was already moving before they landed. I kicked the rifle out of my next target's hand before sending him to the ground with a punch, and by now the rest of the gunmen noticed that I was in their ranks. The one closest to me dropped his gun and held out his arms, launching a hailstorm of spikes at me, his grin disappearing as they shattered harmlessly. A roundhouse sent him to the ground with shattered ribs. My gauntlet formed in front of me as I heard a rocket fire, sending me back a couple of feet as pain lanced through my forearm. I looked around for a brief second, watching him reload before I returned fire. The 5in round hit him square in the chest, sending him flying into a nearby building. That was five down. I heard the staccato fire of my Hellcats from above and watched as another five gunmen collapsed with broken bones and heavy bruising. The rubber rounds weren't lethal, but they also weren't very gentle either. Half down.
After rushing between the rest of the gunmen, downing another three, the rest of them had realized that the intervening hero was mostly bulletproof. Four threw down their guns and ran, getting into one of their vehicles and driving off. The three that were left decided that if guns weren't going to work then their Quirks might. I bent backwards at nearly ninety degrees as one of them slashed with some kind of air blade, landing with one hand before I swept his feet out from under him. As his body twisted I brought my elbow down on his head, knocking him out.
"Keep the bitch distracted!" One yelled as if I wasn't literal feet away from them.
The one that was doing the 'distracting' let out a yell as his body glowed orange. My eyes widened as he suddenly burst into motion, leaving after-images everywhere he went. All of a sudden I felt multiple impacts all over my body, not enough to hurt but definitely enough to annoy me. And no matter where I punched, kicked, or swung he would always duck just out of reach before hitting somewhere out of my view. If that wasn't bad enough my vision was suddenly filled with an angry red glow. I spared a glance to the hostile that I left unoccupied, noticing that his hand was engulfed in a red ball of energy. Violent sparks leapt from the orb and even from here I could feel static in the air. Whatever this attack was, it was going to be bad! I turned to get a targeting solution but in my brief lapse of attention the speedy hostile kicked my knee out from under me.
Shit!
My targeting solution vanished and time seemed to slow down as I watched the man's attack grow with more intensity and heat. Genuine worry crossed my face as he thrust his hand down at me. I raised my arms in defense. Right before the impact though something wrapped around my waist, yanking me back.
BOOM!
Very quickly my trajectory spun out of control as whatever yanked me back unraveled, and right as I tripped over my own two feet somebody caught me. When my vision stabilized my breath left my lungs. Or maybe it was from the sudden stop? Shaggy shoulder length black hair framed a rather unassuming face with dark eyes. The way he held me was like the finishing move of a dance, one arm wrapped around my upper back while I laid almost perpendicular with a single foot resting on the ground. The explosion framed the two of us in brilliant light, creating a spellbound moment and covering all sound. My cheeks felt warm for some reason…
Generators spiking erratically!
Boiler temperatures unnaturally high!
What was happening to me? Based on his tired face it didn't seem to be affecting him, so what the hell? And then the explosion dispersed and I was let onto my own two feet, almost stumbling as I was set upright. I also got a better look at my savior. He wore a baggy black outfit and a long messy gray scarf that was wrapped around his neck.
"You hurt?" He asked, giving me a once over.
I did a full self-diagnosis, "I-I'm fine, no major injuries!" I blinked at my sudden stutter. This was a combat situation! What the hell was wrong with me?!
"Damn it! There's no way you should've been able to dodge! Haruto, get 'em!" Energy gathered in the man's hands again and the man now named Haruto ran towards us, glowing orange and speeding up.
"Get ready," my savior said. Haruto sprinted towards us and then all of a sudden the glow just vanished. I blinked as he stumbled right in front of me, but shaking the confusion off I brought my arm out and clotheslined him, flipping him over and knocking him out. Looking back up the last hostile was trying to use his Quirk, cursing angrily as nothing he did worked. Almost boredly I lined up and fired a 5in round at him, finishing the fight. And finally everything was quiet except for the police sirens getting closer.
"The police are on their way, can you handle things here?" The man next to me asked.
My generators stuttered and multiple electronics short-circuited. 'Y-Yeah, no problem, but…" I turned towards him, but he was already gone, using his scarf almost like a grappling hook. "I never got your name…" I mumbled sadly.
As the first police cruiser slid to a stop I was already writing up an after action report.
The group was acting independently. At least, that's what they claimed. After some more thorough investigations and interrogations we learned that they were contracted to attack the police by an unknown person, and their weapons were given to them with this specific task in mind. The only thing we knew about their contractor was that it was a woman, but those weapons? Same manufacturing companies and the same kind that were found in the WerWolf crates. It couldn't be a coincidence, and a few hours later it was confirmed. In major cities all across the country police stations were attacked in the same manner with the same weaponry. Sometimes it was small-time villain groups, sometimes it was Yakuza, sometimes it was just hired guns. But they all used the same weapons, and they were all contracted by a woman. Nobody wanted to confirm it, but I didn't have a doubt in my mind that it was the Demon I had fought in the Raid. All of it smelled like a distraction, but there weren't any major or minor events that these attacks could've been a cover for. But based on her sadistic nature she could've simply done this for the fun of it.
On a less malicious note, unfortunately the problems didn't stop there… Damage Control fixed all of the minor malfunctions, but whenever I thought about the man from that day they started popping back up again. It was always the same issues as well! Generators spiking and running erratically, Boilers burning at abnormally high temperatures, and burnt out circuits and electronics. No matter when or where I was, whenever I thought about him all of those issues popped up. It didn't make any sense! I needed to fix this and fast… What if it started happening with someone else? Was it going to spread?
I finished my shift and called up my friend. After a few rings she picked up. "Hello? Mariana?"
"Emi, I need your help!" I yelled.
"What? What's happening, are you ok?!"
"No! Something's happening to me and I don't know what!"
"Are you hurt? Are you in trouble?" I could hear moving in the background, like she was suddenly rushing. I knew I could count on her!
"No-I don't know! And yes! Can we meet at the bar we usually go to?"
"What– The bar!? I thought you were in trouble?"
"I am! Just… I'll explain everything there!"
"Ok? Uh, see you there I guess!"
"See you there!" I hung up and immediately changed course. I made the right choice, I know I did. Emi was always helpful with things like this, she would know what was wrong with me, surely.
Oh if only it was that simple…
"Stop laughing! I'm being serious here!" I protested, frustrated.
"I-I'm sorry, it's just-haha!" Emi tried, but was overcome by hysterics. She wiped tears out of her eyes, red in the face.
"Please, Emi! You're the only one I can trust with this! I have no idea what's happening!" Unfortunately my begging only made things worse, and I had to grab my friend's arm before she fell off of her chair.
"W-When you called m–," she failed to hold in a snort, "ok, ok. It's just, I w-was all panicked, but if you only led with this," and before she could finish she started cackling again.I lowered my head, almost pouting. "D-Don't give me that look! I'm trying to be serious here!"
"Then what's wrong with me!" I begged, folding my hands. "Every time I think about him everything goes nuts! What if it happens with someone else?!"
"Ok, ok. Mariana." She pointed at me, "you, my sweet innocent friend, have developed a crush!"
I blinked. "A crush?"
"Uh-huh! Oh I never thought I'd see the day, you gotta tell me everything!"
"What's a crush?" I asked, already ordering my command crew to take notes.
But apparently my question took the wind out of Emi's sails and she stared at me for a solid minute before blinking. "Did you just ask me what a crush is?" There was a twinkle in her eyes that I didn't quite like.
"Yes?" I tried, suddenly getting nervous. "I-Is it a bad thing? Will I be ok?"
The Smile Hero folded her hands over her heart, closing her eyes. "Oh, oh you precious little gem. May your innocence be forever kept safe." She opened her eyes and leaned forwards. "A crush is when you want to be… more than friends with someone."
I tilted my head. "More than friends? What…" My eyes went wide. "You don't mean!"
"Ah," Emi sighed, "love at first sight. I am so happy to have been a witness to it first hand. Don't worry, I shall be with you every step of the way!" The Smile Hero reached for her drink, "who even is he anyway?"
"I don't know, he never told me his name. But he wore a black tracksuit, had long black hair, and a pair of yellow goggles. "At the last bit Emi spit her drink out, looking at me with wide eyes. I blinked, taken aback at the sudden outburst.
"Shut up!"
"Huh?"
"No way!"
"What?" I was getting worried now.
"You have a crush on Aizawa?!" I blinked. "You know, Eraser Head?!"
"Is that bad?" I muttered, suddenly conscious of myself. Was he really a villain? Did I mess up somehow? Deep…
Apparently my worry showed up on my face, because Emi was quick to wash away my concerns? "What? No! Of course not! It's just that Aizawa and I go way back. The fact that you got a crush on him of all people was surprising, it's actually hilarious!" My friend wiped more tears from her eyes. "Ok, we'll get you two hitched in no time, all you gotta do is sit back and do everything I tell you~"
"Hitched?"
"I'll explain later. Oh this is perfect!" Emi had a look in her eye that suddenly made me very wary. I wasn't quite sure I was gonna like this…
"Ok, everything you gotta know about Aizawa…"
Oh Deep… What had I gotten myself into?
"Are you alright?" I asked. The police chief had been tense ever since I got here. It was starting to make me worry about him.
"I'm fine, just a hectic day is all."
He cleared his throat. "We got a hit. There's going to be an arms trade with a Yakuza group. We've been watching them for a while, and an inside source has confirmed that the weapons' point of origin is Germany. There's a chance that it isn't WerWolf, but that's not a chance that we're comfortable letting slip by. The site is a condemned factory. You and another Hero are going to infiltrate the factory and do some reconnaissance before stopping the trade. Police and other Heroes are going to be on standby in case things go south. Do you have any questions?"
I spoke up. "Do we know how many hostels will be in the area?"
"No. It could be up to twenty depending on who's doing the trade. Anything else?"
"Not to sound ungrateful, but… why me? I'm a heavy hitter, not a stealth hero."
The police chief nodded. "That may be true, but you record everything you see on camera and on paper. You're meticulous, and if anybody escapes your data could lead us right to them. Your partner is adept in stealth missions, so if you're uncertain then refer to him for guidance. Will that be all?"
I nodded and saluted. "Affirmative, sir."
"You don't have to salute me, we're not military here."
I gave a small smile. "Technically I am."
Later that night I was standing on the building next to the factory. There wasn't anything outwardly suspicious about it, it was exactly as the police chief had described it… An abandoned and condemned factory. No lights were on, no vehicles were nearby, and there hadn't been any traffic going in or out all day… It was honestly starting to look like a bust, but I hadn't been inside yet.
"Mariana?"
I barely stopped myself from jumping ten feet in the air. How hadn't I heard him coming?! I turned around and almost immediately felt something short circuit. It was him, Aizawa.
"Yeah… Eraser Head?" I asked, hoping that the blush I felt wasn't actually showing on my face.
"Yeah. You were briefed?" He responded, crossing his arms and walking over to me.
"Yes, I was." No, I hadn't! I was briefed on the mission, but not on who I was partnered with! Was that what he meant by briefed? Was I reading too far into this? Deep! "Arms trade happening in the factory… supposedly…" I added as an afterthought.
"Supposedly?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. Oh yeah, his goggles weren't on his face. That was good… That was good? What the hell did that mean!?
"Yeah… There hasn't been any traffic since I've been here. No vehicles, no walking. Radar hasn't picked anything up yet. It's pretty abandoned. But we won't be able to tell until we get inside."
There was a brief pause before Eraser Head sighed. "The police weren't rational about this."
"What do you mean?" I tilted my head.
"This is a stealth mission. You're loud and heavy. They should've sent someone with experience in these missions, like Edgeshot."
"You…" I cut myself off and just sighed. "…Have a point." I could guarantee that the only reason I was sent on this mission was because of what I was rather than my experience. If it was WerWolf then I might recognize something. Although… "I might be able to mitigate my presence. Hold on…" I closed my eyes, and did something I learned from my Submarines.
Rig for Silent Running
Reactor Output: 10%
Power Usage: Minimum.
Searchlights: Off.
Slowly I felt everything go somewhat dull, and when I opened my eyes they were gray rather than electric blue. I smiled at Aizawa. "This is as good as you're gonna get. I'm running on minimum output so hopefully I won't be nearly as loud."
"Hm… It'll have to do. Let's go, the meeting's supposed to happen in ten minutes." And without another word the Erasure Hero leapt off of the building, using his scarf to swing across to the factory. I watched with a small blush. He was so good at it! I blinked before slapping myself out of my stupor. What was I doing?! I was on a mission! I'm a centuries old Abyssal Princess, this isn't me! I can keep this professional, can't I? I leapt across the roof, landing with a roll. Aizawa waved me down, there was a broken window that we could fit through.
The factory was dark and abandoned. Nobody had been here in years and it showed. The catwalk we were on was one speck of rust away from collapsing and just about every surface was covered in a layer of dust and grime. With each sweep of my radar I got the same thing; nothing. Other than Eraser Head there wasn't anybody here. After about eight minutes of sneaking around we came across what was probably an assembly line at one point. This was the spot of the supposed meeting area, but there wasn't anybody there.
"Where is everybody?" I whispered. Radar was blank, nothing was in my line of sight, I didn't even hear anything.
"There's still a few minutes, we'll wait here and keep an eye out." Aizawa whispered back, but I could see the frown on his face too. I gave a hum in agreement and we turned our attention back to the floor.
Five minutes went by, then ten. Still nothing…
"I don't like this…" I muttered, frowning.
"Maybe they're running late?"
"Radar hasn't shown a blip the whole time we've been here… Bad intel maybe?"
"Maybe… Something's off about this."
"More than you know~"
The hairs on the back of my neck stood on end. GENERAL QUARTERS! "Era—" Before I could even speak something hit me in the back and sent me flying through the air. I crashed through a conveyor line and into some kind of machine, going through it before rolling to a stop. Blood ran down my face and my ear crackled.
Structural Damage!
Comms Offline!
Radar Damaged!
The crackle in my ear must've been my comms then. I felt the side of my head and winced. My right ear was completely gone, and Deep knew where my headphones went.
"You're as tough as they say, Meine Liebe~" I stood up as soon as I heard the voice, stumbling. I looked all around but I didn't see anything. My gauntlets formed and my generators brought themselves back to combat mode. I checked my radar but it was pointless, which meant visual only.
"Where's Eraser Head?" I asked, spinning around.
"The third wheel? Hmph, my new friends are entertaining him. After all, I don't want anything to get in between our little dance~" I felt an attack incoming and ducked, feeling the wind sail over my head in the wake of the Demon's attack. I sent a blind punch but she cartwheeled away, a sadistic grin on her face. "You look so lovely all bloodied up~"
We slowly circled each other, waiting for the other to make the first move. She sauntered around the circle, arms down with no visible guard or defense. I didn't fall for it, this was one of the most dangerous Abyssals to sail the seas, she had a guard ready.
"Why are you here? Why attack me now?" I asked. We never broke the circle and my eyes never left her.
"Am I not allowed to see the one I love? Besides, I've been instructed by my mistress to bring you to her. I figured if you get bloody along the way she wouldn't mind~" She licked her lips, sending a shiver down my spine.
"Your mistress?" I furrowed my brow in confusion. Was there an Atlantic Princess here?
"Of course~ She's so excited to see you~"
After a minute we stopped, and then she just moved. I brought my gauntlets up and deflected a swing from a massive demented cleaver. The thing had just appeared! Was it like my gauntlets?! I leaned back and winced as it sailed millimeters away from my face, watching a few strands of hair get cut away as it passed my face. I punched it up and out of the way before following up with a front kick. The Demon twirled out of the way and lashed out with a kick of her own that impacted my side. I felt something crunch and coughed, but I didn't have time to worry about it! I grabbed her leg and pulled her in close, punching her and firing my cannons at the same time. I heard a pained grunt before I was yanked forwards and thrown over her shoulder. Before I could try and catch myself she hit me with the flat side of her cleaver, sending me sprawling across the ground. I coughed and rolled onto my knees, forcing myself to stand up.
"I'm disappointed, Meine Liebe… Where's the Abyssal Princess? Why aren't you trying to kill me?~" I spit out a mixture of blood and oil before turning to face the demon. She just stood there, hip cocked to the side with that same sadistic grin on her face. She barely looked any worse for wear, the only evidence of my sole landed attack being the rip in her swimsuit that exposed bloody brackish machinery.
"Shut the fuck up you maniac!" I bit out, almost growling. I'd been fighting humans for so long that I'd almost forgotten what a fight with my kind was like. When Shipgirls and Abyssals it was always bloody. When a human lost a major organ it meant certain death. When Shipgirls or Abyssals lost something critical it didn't really matter that much. As long as we didn't sink, something would be able to work. Something would keep us in the fight. I had to stop treating this fight like I was fighting a villain!
Reactor Output: Maximum!
I launched forwards, cracking the concrete as I leapt. My fist met her cleaver in a violent clash, sending a small shockwave from the impact. I didn't stop. I grabbed the cleaver and wrenched it to the side, sending a sixteen inch shell directly into her stomach before socking her across the jaw. The Demon reeled in pain from the attacks, trying and failing to get another strike in. Unfortunately for her I was stronger. I specialized in CQC. I was a brawler through and through. In raw power I far surpassed the Demon I was fighting, but she definitely had me beat in agility and speed. If I let up for even a second she would be able to turn the tide of the whole fight. I couldn't allow that to happen!
I grabbed the Demon by her head and brought her face down on my knee, relishing in the solid crack. Still holding her head I punched her across the cheek, then again, and again. Before I could finish her though there was another boom from nearby. I spared a moment to see Aizawa leaping backwards through the air, followed by strange two-legged shark creatures. My brief lapse in attention was enough for the Demon to send a punch straight to my gut, and after a split second something gave with a sickening crunch! I was sent back, gasping painfully for air.
Ignore it!
I launched myself at the Demon again, but as soon as we locked in the fight I looked at Aizawa. "Get clear!" I saw him turn his head my way before throwing his scarf to an overhead light, leaping upwards. As soon as he was far enough away I fired a sixteen inch shell into the small group of creatures , watching them vanish into clouds of mist and gore. I heard a mournful cry and the Demon raked her claws across my gauntlet, shredding a significant amount of my weapons including the one I had just fired.
"Verdammt! Du Hure!" Something changed in the way the Demon fought. Her grin was gone, her teeth sharpened and there was a psychotic glint in her eyes. She cackled madly as she swiped her suddenly long claws at me. "Ich werde dich leiden lassen, Meine Liebe!" I dodged and deflected the best I could, but every time she landed a hit her claws went right through my bunkers. She ignored every hit I landed, no matter how much damage I actually did. Her right eye was a gaping hole filled by a sickly blue light and black machinery.
We separated again and each prepared an attack, I raised my fist back and she brought up ehr cleaver. As soon as we swung though, everything vanished. My gauntlets vanished as did her cleaver. Before I could even comprehend what had happened a scarf wrapped around the Demon's wrist, yanking it to the side. Both of us looked to see Eraser Head yanking on his scarf, hair floating and snarling.
The Shark Water Demon's face turned downright murderous and a massive wave of killing intent smashed into me. "DRITTES RAD!" She yelled before yanking the scarf back, hand raised back and ready to impale him. Aizawa flew towards us and I panicked. Thinking quickly I shot the scarf with one of my last remaining cannons, severing it, and as he got close I grabbed him and leapt forwards. As I did though pain erupted across my back as I felt the Demon's claws rake into my back, inch by agonizing inch from my right shoulder to my left hip. I writhed as Aizawa got out of my arms, keeping me from rolling onto my back. I felt that something was wrong almost immediately, as every signal I sent to my legs barely came back.
"Y-You're fighting out of your w-weight class with her." I said, trying to hide my pain with humor. I saw Aizawa stand back up and I did my best to roll to face the Demon. She stalked towards us, arms covered in my brackish blood and face contorted in bloody hatred. She had extensive damage and multiple areas were pure black machinery or exposed metal. "G-Get out of here while you still can!"
"And leave you with her?" he said back. His face was contorted in a grimace. He was bloodied up himself and his tracksuit was ripped in multiple spots. Whatever he was doing with his Quirk was taking its toll, and he wouldn't be able to keep it up for long.
"She's right~ Don't you know when you aren't wanted?~" The Demon taunted, giggling. Aizawa gripped his scarf in preparation for the fight. "I'm feeling generous right now, so how about you leave and leave the two Abyssals to their business?~"
"Not a chance!" The Erasure Hero yelled back. The Demon tsk'd and stopped.
"I gave you a chance, human…" But the moment she took a step forward police sirens hit our ears. I didn't know if I should cry in relief or panic. The Demon's face turned downright hateful, and I could see the conflict in her eyes. She wanted to stay and finish the job, but then getting out of here would be exponentially more difficult. "Tsk. So many distractions! We will see each other again, Meine Liebe, and when we do I'll paint the room with your blood~" The Demon leapt into the rafters and was gone in seconds. I let out a massive sigh of relief, but tensed in agony as my back touched the cement. Aizawa was at my side in a second, keeping me from rolling. As carefully as he could he stripped away my ruined bomber jacket.
"H-How bad is it, be honest." I felt him lift the back of my shirt away so he could inspect the damage. With him I'd usually be embarrassed but right now I was in so much pain I didn't care.
"Bad. The cuts are very deep. I'm not an expert in Shipgirls but I can see what looks like your spine, or at least your equivalent of one." I felt him move the shirt back into place and I winced as it made contact with the wound.
"Y-Yeah? That would m-make sense, cause I can't feel my legs r-right now. Control lines a-are probably severed…"
I heard Aizawa hum before as gently as possible grabbing my back and bringing me to his shoulder. I blinked in confusion. "If you do what you did earlier it'll make you lighter, right?"
"Y-yeah?" I asked, furrowing my brow. "Why?"
"Just do it." I blinked a few more times before the blue glow of my eyes turned to a dull gray. With the majority of my powers receding I whimpered as the pain was amplified. This wasn't the worst pain I'd felt, and it most certainly wasn't the worst I'd been damaged, but that didn't mean I enjoyed it. Apparently Aizawa could feel the difference, because as soon as my weight dropped he grabbed under my knees with his free arm and picked me up in a bridal carry.
I yelped in pain and surprise, and when my face flushed red I blamed it on the pain instead of my boilers overheating. "My hero," I muttered, embarrassed.
"I will drop you," Aizawa threatened, but there wasn't any heat behind his words. Despite my situation I laughed, regretting it, but it felt good at the same time. I really hoped I didn't know anyone on the outside of this factory, because if I did I was never living this down. I'd worry about everything else later, right now I was just along for the ride.
Well that was a lot bloodier than I planned on this being.
But ignoring that, we met Aizawa! And despite the cliché of 'love at first sight' I think it's cute. I also love the interactions between Ms. Joke and Mariana in this chapter. She's a great friend, and like all great friends she's full of bad dating advice. And don't worry, there won't any competition between the two, Ms. Joke's gonna be Mariana's wingwoman. How successful she'll be is debatable~
Also regarding the last fight, I sincerely apologize to my German readers. I used to speak a lot of German but much of it has fled me. I hope I did all right. I hope you guys enjoyed that fight regardless, because even if it was pretty short I had fun writing it.
Why are police stations being attacked? What were those shark things anyways? And who's this mysterious mistress? What plans are in store for our poor Abyssal? At least she's met her future love~ Maybe they'll go on a date soon, who knows?~ All of that and more next time, but first our here needs a nice and long recovery.

Thanks for reading, and I'll see you all soon~
