Here's chapter 8 everybody.

Chapter 8: Code of Panic.

Back at Bana City, Henry is still trying to figure out the signal that is in the satellite feed while most of his coworkers have been watching the OBC news reports about the events taking place in Yuktobania and a press conference taking place at Oured.

"There it is, the strange atmospheric phenomenon. It is apparently what has been causing all the distortions in our broadcasts." a OBC female news anchor said.

One of Henry's co-workers then approached his office.

"Henry, are you watching this?" the co-worker asked in concern, but Henry was listening to the signal.

Henry then printed the signal before walking towards Marvin, who was listening to the broadcast.

"Marvin, listen to this, I got a lock on the pattern of that signal, so we can filter it out. But if my calculations are right, it's going to be gone in, like, seven hours anyway. It's reducing itself every time it recycles, so eventually it's gonna disappear… You listening?" Henry said before realizing Marvin was watching the TV.

"Can you believe this?" Marvin asked before looking at Henry. "Henry, haven't you been watching? Henry!"

Henry then finally looks at the TV where he sees his ex-girlfriend Jennifer on the podium during the press conference.

"Good afternoon. So far, the phenomenon has not caused any damage. We have to ask you to try to stay calm, and it's important for everyone not to panic. We have a fix on the four occurrences about to appear over Osean cities. One is headed towards St. Hewlett. The other three are on our southeastern seaboard headed towards Bana City, Redmill and Oured." Jennifer said.

The announcement has cause concern from Henry's co-workers

"Marvin. Marvin. Richard says this building has an old bomb shelter. We're heading down there now." another co-worker said.

"All right. Um, everybody, head down to the basement. Take it slow. Don't run. Walk down to the basement" Marvin said before looking at Henry. "There's no shame in hiding. Oh, I better call my mother."

Meanwhile, near St. Hewlett, Howard was in a bar drinking. He was about to call it until everything started to shake, causing panic. Howard, however, heads outside and couldn't believe what he was seeing in the sky. At the same time nearby, Howards three grown children were watching the TV when their trailer started to shake.

"What's that?" a teenage girl named Marie asked.

"Let's get outta here. Come on." a young adult man named Tony said.

The three went outside their trailer and looked in disbelief to see a giant fireball in the clear blue sky. Meanwhile, a huge shadow was covering the city of St. Hewlett. In one particular house, a small little boy was running towards his parents room, and tried to wake them up.

"Mommy! Look it!" the boy said.

"It's too early, baby." the boy's mother said before going back to sleep.

The boy leaves just as the house starts to shake, waking up the father.

"Is it a earthquake?" the man asked.

"Not even a four pointer. Go back to sleep." the man's wife said.

Back in Oured, a large shadow was obscuring the city. In Bright Hill, there was commotion as the shadow finally reached the place, causing the building to shake and everyone to look around.

At Redmill, there was chaos at the base, most of the fighter pilots, including Trigger, Talisman, Mobius 1 and their respective wingmen went outside to see what was going on, only to look at the sky in shock as they saw a massive fireball in the sky.

"Oh my God." Talisman said in disbelief.

"What in the world?" Mobius 1 said.

"What is that?" Trigger asked.

At Bana City, a large shadow was also obscuring the city. In the city, everything was normal until a car stopped suddenly, causing another to crash and causing mayhem in the street. The driver of the first car stepped out, looking up in the sky. At Henry's workplace, everyone was heading towards the basement, while Henry was heading up to the roof.

"Aren't you coming, Henry?" a co-worker asked.

"No, I gotta see this." Henry replied.

Henry steps outside to the roof just as the shadow obscure his surroundings. Back at the city, the citizens continued to look at the large fireball cloud. Suddenly, a very large circular object emerges from the cloud. Everyone couldn't believe it as it was a massive alien spaceship. The spaceship was slowly going over the city. Citizens deeper in the city start looking up in the sky and see the approaching alien ship, as panic starts to break loose.

"Whoa! Look at that!"

"Oh, jeez!"

"Oh my God!"

"Come on! Let's get out of here!"

Henry continued to look on as the alien ship was still slowly going over the city, very close to the skyscrapers, and making loud noises along the way. Henry couldn't believe it. More panic now starts occurring as the spaceship is now in visual range in midtown Bana City, near the tallest building in the city, Henry looks up at the alien ship before looking at the signal he printed out.

"The signal." Henry said before he looked up at the ship and became wide eyed. "Oh my God."

Henry then runs back inside the base.

The ship eventually stops and hovers over Bana City, the middle of the ship was at the point over the tallest building in the city. At Redmill, Trigger, Talisman, Mobius 1 and others like Count, Húxiān, Windhover and Viper 2 look at the ship sternly but with concern looks on their faces. In Oured, another alien ship also stops, the middle hovering over Bright Hill, just as everyone comes out to look at it.

"Now what do we do?" Jennifer asked.

"Address the nation. There's gonna be a lot of frightened people out there." Wilford replied.

"Yeah. I'm one of them." Claudia said.

And that's the end of this chapter. Well the aliens have made their presence known as humanity's question on rather they are alone in the universe or not has been answered. What will happen when the kid's father gets a wake up surprise and Henry figures out the alien's intentions? Find out next time in the next chapter. Please review. :)
