Chapter 10: Friendly or Hostile?
Back at Redmill, Trigger and the LRSSG were discussing the arrival of the alien fleet, which was still a big shock to the ace pilots.
"Never thought that aliens would actually exist." Lanza said.
"The only question is do they come in peace?" Skald asked.
"Let's hope they do come in peace. If not, then they'll definitely make the biggest mistake by coming here." Húxiān said.
"Well, the president said that we need to reserve judgment." Jaeger said.
"Jaeger's right. Let's just wait 'till we get more information on these alien visitors and if they're friendly, then we'll have nothing to worry about." Trigger said.
"And if not, Trigger?" Count asked,
"Then God help us." Trigger said.
Meanwhile, Talisman and Shamrock were discussing with their fellow Emmerian pilots about the situation.
"Compared to the Aigaion, this craft could be hard to shoot down...if these aliens are here with hostile intentions." Talisman said.
"Geez, coming here with hostile intentions, what did we do to them?" Windhover asked.
"I heard there is one hovering over Gracemeria." Avalanche said.
"Any word from Gracemeria or Gracemeria Air Force Base?" Stingray said.
"I heard the base is put on red alert, the Joint Chiefs of Staff and President are being evacuated to a secure location." Avalanche replied.
"What about GhostEye?" Sky Kid asked.
"He's currently airborne and is west of the city." Avalanche replied.
"Good. Until we find out about these aliens, I have a bad feeling about this. I hope the city is evacuating the artifacts at the castle, especially the Golden King." Shamrock said.
"Hope the Hermans decide to leave as well. Until then, we must keep cool at the moment." Talisman said.
"So what can we do?" Avalanche asked.
"I would just discuss with your squadron members and let them know about what's going on in Gracemeria." Talisman said.
Meanwhile, Mobius 1 was talking to his fellow IUN-PKF pilots.
"Geez, that spacecraft looks wider than Stonehenge." Omega 11 said.
"You think their arrival would disrupt the Erusean civil war?" Viper 2 asked.
"Most likely. I mean, we now know that we are not alone in the universe. Now the question is why are they here?" Omega 11 asked.
"We'll find out soon. We just have to leave that to the Osean military." Mobius 1 said.
One IUN-PKF pilot, known as Rapier 5, approached the three pilots with some concern.
"Any news back at Usea?" Mobius 1 asked.
"We do have confirmation that some alien ships are hovering over North Point and San Salvacion. A third is over Farbanti and two more is approaching St. Ark and Comberth." Rapier 5 replied.
"Any word from SkyEye?" Mobius 1 asked.
"He had taken off from North Point hours before the alien's arrival. They said he's currently on his way to Fort Gray." Rapier 5 said.
"And any word from top brass?" Viper 2 asked.
"Several leaders and the top brass are being relocated to a secure location." Rapier 5 replied.
"Well, if those aliens are hostile, I hope the rest of the IUN can handle them without us." Omega 11 said.
"Let's hope they ain't." Mobius 1 said.
"Anyway, let's join up with other pilots to watch the new reports." Viper 2 said.
