Here's chapter 11 everybody.
Chapter 11: Get Out of Town.
Back at St. Hewlett, Laila was watching the news while also watching Michael pack as he was about to report to base as he is a OADF fighter pilot. Michael has been an OADF pilot for five years now, currently a Captain. He was deployed at St. Hewlett when the Lighthouse War first broke out and the only air action he saw was the Erusean drone attack at the harbor before only doing routine combat air patrols since then. Now, with the arrival of the aliens, he got a call from his superiors to report to base, much to Laila's disapproval.
"The arrival of the alien visitors has caused over 10,000 fender-benders in just a few seconds' time, but this is just the beginning..." OBC anchor Mark Richard reported.
"Uh-uh. Come on, now, you can't go. You got to call them back." Laila said.
"I'm not going to do this with you, Laila. I've got to report to the base." Michael said as he puts on his dress blues.
"But you said you was on leave for the 4th." Laila said.
"Yeah, well, they canceled it!" Michael yelled before calming down. "Look, why are you acting like this?"
"Why?" Laila said before walking to the window and open the curtains up to see the alien spacecraft outside in full view. "That's why."
Michael could see that Laila was really concerned before approaching her.
"Look. I really don't think they flew 90 billion light years to come down here and start a fight and get all rowdy. Look, why don't you just relax, I'm going to report to the base and find out what's going on." Michael said before walking outside and see his son in the car. "What are you doing in there, man?"
"Nothing. I'm just driving." the boy replied, pretending to drive.
"Look. Here. I got these for you." Michael said as he handed the boy some firecrackers.
"Firecrackers." the boy said.
"Now, you be careful." Michael said as Laila runs out the house.
"Michael, wait. I want to tell you something." Laila said.
"What is it, Laila?" Michael asked.
"You take care of yourself, you hear?" Laila said.
"Look, why don't you get some things packed, and you and Darius come stay with me on the base. And you will see that there is nothing to be scared of." Michael said.
"Really? You don't mind" Laila asked.
"Well, I mean we'll have to let all my other girlfriends know that they can't come over, you know and got to postpone their plans." Michael joked.
"There you go. There he goes, thinking you all that. But you are not as charming as you think you are, sir." Laila said.
"Yes, I am." Michael said.
The two then share a kiss before Michael heads to base.
Meanwhile, back at Bana City, there was still panic in the city. Henry has managed to reach Jakob's house and bangs on the door, only for Jakob to come out, armed with his AR-15, causing Henry to move it quickly away.
"The television said they started the looting already. Vultures." Jakob said.
"You still have the Plymouth?" Henry asked.
"You want to borrow the car? Henry, you don't have a license." Jakob said.
"You're driving." Henry said as he enters the house.
"Yeah, I'm driv–I'm driving?" Jakob said in confusion.
"Come on, come on." Henry said as Jakob closes the door.
Meanwhile, back in Oured, President Wilford is talking to his wife on the phone, who was on a political trip to St. Hewlett..
"I really want you out of St. Hewlett." Wilford said.
"You're staying there to keep people calm. It's the right thing to do. I'm not going to let them criticize you for it." First Lady Wilford said.
"I appreciate you're trying to help me." Wilford said.
"Liar. Stick to the truth. That's what you're good at." First Lady Wilford said.
"All right. I'll tell you the truth. I don't want you in any one of those cities." Wilford said.
"I'll leave as soon as the interviews are done." First Lady Wilford said.
"All right. There's a helicopter waiting. They're gonna take you to McNealy." Wilford said.
" All right. I love you." First Lady Wilford said.
"I love you, too." Wilford said.
"Bye." First Lady Wilford said.
"Bye." Wilford said before hanging up.
Meanwhile, Henry and Jakob are driving out of Bana City as the two are trying to get to Oured as quickly as possible to warn President Wilford about the alien's hostile intentions.
"It's Bright Hill, for crying out loud. You can't just drive up and ring a bell." Jakob said.
"Can this thing go any faster?" Henry asked.
"What, you think they don't know what you know? They know. Believe me, they know. Your ex works for the president. They know everything." Jakob said.
"They don't know this." Henry said.
"Oh, oh, You're going to educate them, huh? So tell me something. You're so smart, how come you spend eight years at O.I.T. to become a cable repairman?" Chris asked.
"Dad." Henry replied.
"All I'm saying is they got people who handle these things, Henry. They want HBO, they'll call you." Jakob said before being annoyed by the other cars around. "Look at these people. Look. Huh? Vultures. They take, and then they go."
"Yeah. They're going. They're going faster than we are. Look at this. We're in the fast lane." Henry said.
"I can't go faster. They're cutting me off here." Jakob said.
"No one's cutting you off. We're going to get a ticket." Henry said.
"They're getting in front of me. I can't go any faster." Jakob said.
"All right. All right. I don't want to argue. Let's just get there as quickly as possible." Henry said.
"What's the rush? You think we'll get to Oured, it won't be there?" Jakob said only to get a worried silent response from Henry.
Back at a trailer park outside of St. Hewlett, the locals, including Tony and his younger brother Elliott, were watching the alien spacecraft hovering from the distance over the mountains that surround the city while watching the news reports. Moments later, Howard has just got out of a taxi and approaches Tony and Elliot.
"Everybody's leaving, Dad." Tony said.
"And so are we. We have to get away from these spaceships as much as we can. Go get your sister." Howard said.
Tony then goes to look for his sister. It didn't take him long to find Marie, who was in a car with a boy.
"This could be our last night on Earth." the boy said.
As the couple were about to kiss, Tony opened the car door, interrupting their moment.
"Come on. We're going." Tony said with a serious look on his face.
"No, I'm not going anywhere," Marie said.
Tony had enough of his sister's recent behavior around guys lately. He grabbed her arm and dragged her out.
"Tony! Stop it!" Marie said.
Tony didn't listen and pulled her sister to the RV. Afterwards, Tony and his family drove the RV away from St. Hewlett and the spaceship.
And that's the end of the chapter. Looks like some has a bad feeling about the aliens arrival. I would be in their place and get out of town and far away as I possibly can. Well, what will our Aces and Michael do from this point froward. Stay tuned for the next chapter. Please review. :)
