Here's chapter 33 everybody.

Chapter 33: Independence Day.

The Osean flag flies proudly on its flag pole. The sun is about to rise soon, and pilots of all nationalities are prepared for the biggest mission ever. All pilots had already gone outside as Wilford and Shepherd arrived to greet the pilots, mostly the volunteers.

"Good morning." Wilford said as he saluted the pilots, who saluted back. "They're a little young."

"That they are." Shepherd said.

"They look a little nervous." Wilford said.

Meanwhile, Major Lincoln was giving instructions to the flight crews and pilots with a PA on top of a vehicle.

"I'm gonna need all flight crews to report to their designated areas immediately." Lincoln ordered.

"Major, can I borrow that?" Wilford asked.

"Yes, sir." Lincoln replied, handing Wilford the mic.

"Good morning." Wilford said, but there was no feedback from the PA. He turns it on. "Good morning." Wilford got the attention of everyone and walked towards him, including Trigger, Mobius 1, Talisman and their respective wingmen, the foreign pilots and the volunteers, including Circum-Pacific War and Belkan War veterans like Howard. "In less than an hour, aircraft from here will join others from around the world, and you will be launching the largest aerial battle in the history of mankind. Mankind. That word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps it's fate that today is the Fourth of July, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom… Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution… but from annihilation. We are fighting for our right to live. To exist. And should we win the day...the Fourth of July will no longer be known as an Osean holiday... but as the day when the world declared in one voice, we will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!"

Everybody started cheering. Some people hoist their weapons in the air, some give salutes, or some just clap their hands and smile. This is probably the most inspiring speech everyone has heard for Wilford has united the human race as a species and not just citizens of different nations. Afterwards, once he heard the speech, Trigger grabbed his flight helmet.

"Let's go!" Trigger said.

With that, every pilot starts heading for their aircraft. Trigger in his F-22 with the three strikes while the rest of Strider and Cyclops Squadron in their F-15Cs, Mobius 1 in his F-22 with the ribbon insignia, Viper 2 in his F-16C, Omega 11 in his F-15C, Garuda Team in their F-15Es, Windhover, Lanner and Saker in their F-16Cs, Avalanche, Blizzard and Serac in their F/A-18F Super Hornets, Sky Kid, Blue Max, and Red Baron in their Mirage-2000s, Stingray, Whipray, and Sawfish in their A-10s, Seymour, Hermann and Roald in their Su-30M2 Flankers, and Howard is piloting a F/A-18E Super Hornet. It may not be his original F/A-18C Hornet that he flew in the Belkan War but the Super Hornet is as close to his original aircraft. Howard also knows this is the first time he has been in the controls of a military aircraft since the seven nuclear detonations and losing his wingman and close friend on that day. He hopes that his friend looks over him in the afterlife. With that, all pilots prepare for takeoff.

And that's the end of the chapter. A very great speech. Well, the final battle is almost upon us. Now they just have to launch the alien attacker into space and start the operation. Stay tuned for the next chapter and please review. :)
