SAKURA'S POV

I awoke to the feeling of rough fingertips drawing patterns on my back. I stayed still not wanting him to move away as I inhaled softly the sweet smell of his skin. "Good morning." Sasuke whispered as he began to move his hand out from under my shirt off of my skin before resting it softly on my clothed back. How did he know I was awake? I nestled my head in closer to his bare chest and mumbled a good morning in return. I just wanted to lay here forever with him, I thought, trailing my hands up to his neck to lace my fingers into his thick silky hair. We laid there in comfortable silence before the need to pee wouldn't leave my mind and I pulled away with a huff and stood to walk to the bathroom. I felt his gaze burning a hole through my back as I walked in closing the door. I stood facing myself in the mirror for a moment before turning my back to it and glancing over my shoulder to the fan as it rested perfectly on my back. I felt my cheeks heat up remembering the conversation that last night's argument had brought up. I stared for a bit longer before going about my business and washing my hands. I pulled up my hair and began to wash my face. I heard a knock at the bathroom door. "You can come in!" I said putting toothpaste on my brush and beginning to turn around. Sasuke stood there sleepiness still thick in his eyes as he rubbed his chest not parting his gaze from my back. I chuckled before realizing he probably had to go too. "Oh, sorry Sasuke-Kun '' I said apologetically, leaning down to spit and rise. "It's all yours." I smiled brushing past him and losing the battle of resisting the urge to run my hand over his chiseled chest.

Walking back into the room I heard the bathroom door shut softly and I looked at the clock. 5:34 AM shined in red numbers. It was still really early I thought to myself as I crawled onto the bed pulling the covers back up. I heard the sink turn on and smiled while imagining a made-up future life where this could be our morning routine. The door opened back. I heard Sasuke make a chuckle noise as he spotted me laying back in bed. I peeked up at him with my arms open, inviting him to come back and rejoin me. He finally strode over to the bed before slipping under the covers with me as well and we tangled together once more. I didn't feel tired, I just wanted an excuse to be close with him a little while longer. I wondered to myself if he felt the same. "I'm excited to go to the hot springs today, are you?" I questioned beginning to run my hands down his chest. "Hn." He nodded with his eyes still closed. "I've never been to this one here, but I bet it will feel good on all of our aching muscles." I continued to talk quietly. He was quiet for a while until I heard a slight snore come from him and I looked up at his face. It looked so peaceful. More peaceful than I have ever seen. His brows were smoothed down and hair sprawled about his forehead and pillow, with his mouth relaxed free from tension. He must not have slept well last night. I snuggled in closer to him letting my thoughts run wild. A knock pulled me from my thoughts. I'm not sure how long later. I glanced at the clock once more and noticed about 2 hours had passed since Sasuke had drifted back to sleep. I carefully got out of the bed and walked over to the door, opening it a crack, and stepping out into the hall so I wouldn't wake Sasuke.

"Morning forehead! I didn't interrupt anything did I?" Ino chuckled looking down at me, raising an eyebrow at my clothes. My face grew hot as I remembered what I was wearing. A simple shirt. Sasuke's simple shirt. With Sasuke's clan symbol proudly displayed on the back. "No Pig, I couldn't find my scroll that has all of my sleep clothes in it, so Sasuke-Kun let me borrow one of his shirts." I explained nervously waving my hands. Ino laughed and placed a scroll in my hands. "Well damn, looks like my plan failed. I took this yesterday. I was hoping it would leave you without clothes and you would have to use Sasuke-Kun as a robe." She giggled covering her mouth while wiggling her eyebrows. "Damn you Ino, I told you already I don't need help in that department... yet." I trailed off looking at my toes to hide the blush on my cheeks as I thought about last night. "Guys, food has been delivered! Come eat!" Naruto screamed from the main door of the suit. That's weird, Naruto's never up before everyone else. "We'll talk later." Ino smiled, padding off to the kitchen. I shook my head and turned to open the door stepping inside. I smiled softly looking at Sasuke's peaceful sleeping form one more time before digging through my bag to grab proper clothes. I glanced back once more making sure Sasuke was still asleep before slipping his shirt off of me and neatly folding it back. It wasn't like I was scared of him seeing me, clearly, we had passed that stage, but I still felt nervous and like my body wasn't good enough especially in comparison to his. We looked mismatched together. I sighed a gloomy sigh before glancing down at my below average sized breast and I slipped on my nude fleece lined tights and black skirt before putting on my bra and red signature top. I took my hair back down combing through it with my fingers.

I turned to walking back to the bed planning to wake up Sasuke when I noticed his sleepy eyes already open and examining me. He sat up slowly stretching out his arm and then scratching his chest as he glanced at the clock. "Damn, I slept well." He muttered climbing from the bed and walking over to grab some clothes to throw on. Which reminded me. I picked up his shirt that I had folded and went to hand it back to him. "Keep it." He mumbled as he pulled out a fresh set of clothes, pulling his sweatpants over his boxers. "Sasuke-Kun I don't know-"I started to argue but he cut me off with a signature smirk I was becoming accustomed to. "It looks good on you. Keep it." He said once more in a tone daring me to argue. I felt my cheeks grow hot as I bowed my head while smiling and thanking him. He finished dressing before we heard them yell once more that everyone needed to get their asses up that breakfast was here. I opened the door to see a very sleepy Sai emerging from his room giving me his forced smile. I laughed slightly and trailed behind him towards the kitchen as Sasuke followed behind me. Everyone sat at the big table and began to eat. Naruto glanced up at me with a very reddened face and I locked eyes with him. He quickly averted his eyes and shoved more food into his mouth. I then remembered Naruto walking in on me and Sasuke getting out of the shower last night, and I quickly averted my eyes from him as well trying to stop the heat from burning my cheeks. "What is up with that?" Sai asked, staring between me and Naruto. "What's up with what?" Ino asked looking up. Damn them can't they just mind their own business. "Uh-Haha nothing!" Naruto yelled nervously with food stuffed in his mouth. I noticed Sasuke giving him a glare from the corner of my eye and apparently everyone else did too.

"What happened between you three?" Ino asked with a smirk. "Nothing Ino drop it." I growled giving her the look. She laughed. "You'll tell me later." She huffed while continuing to eat. Once we were all finished eating, me and Ino tidied up the area as I quietly filled her in on my evening making her swear not to tell a soul. She was stunned but promised. Then there was a knock at the door. Ino went to answer, and the rest of our crew stood there smiling. "Are you guys ready to go to the hot springs? We have about 4 hours until we need to catch our bus." Rock Lee said looking down at his wristwatch. We all agreed and headed out. I noticed Sasuke fall behind and walk side by side with me and I smiled up at him. His eyes softened for a moment before he looked back ahead. The springs were about a 10-minute hike from the hotel and once we arrived, we all looked at each other puzzled. Apparently, no one checked into the fact that this was a unisex hot spring. I silently glanced up at Sasuke's face and chuckled as I noticed his ears grow red. No one else was here. We decided to all get in with our underclothes on to keep it not as awkward since we had already made the trip and got our hopes up. The guys separated, giving us our privacy as we all began to strip down. I looked down feeling once again saddened as I saw the other four girls' much larger breasts. We climbed into the water trying to get away from the biting wind. A few moments later I heard "CANNON BALL!" As Chouji ran to the water. A tidal wave of water came splashing over us soaking all of our heads and we all growled. He was followed by Kiba and Naruto jumping in with much smaller waves. Rock Lee screamed out something about having to do better than them all leaping high into the air before coming down with another monstrous splash. Hinata chuckled watching Naruto paddle over to us with a blush growing. I looked around trying to spot Sasuke and finally found him standing along with Shikamaru and Sai gently wading into the water. Shino stood on the rocks surrounding the area ignoring us all. Sasuke locked eyes at me from across the water and didn't release my gaze as I watched him say something to Shikamaru before Kiba and Chouji made their way to them. I watched him as everyone else around us chatted together.

I admired him from afar watching how the water slid down his skin and glistened. His dark eyes stayed scanning from me to Kiba standing next to him, and I watched as an angry look formed in his eye. His mouth formed into a hard tight line, and you could almost see the steam seep off of him. I wondered what was being said. Sasuke's eyes darted to me once more before he stood up and got out of the springs without another word. He grabbed a towel quickly drying off and dressing before stalking off in the direction we came from. I looked around trying to find out what was going on and it seems no one else was aware of the encounter. Even Kiba and Sai were laughing and talking casually as if nothing had just happened. "What's up with teme?" Naruto asked elbowing me. "I'm really not sure. But I'll go find out." I declared rising from the water into the icy air to follow him. I dried and dressed quickly as followed in the direction he had marched off in. After about 5 minutes of running full speed, I ended up back at the Inn we were staying at and bounded up the stairs in search of Sasuke. Once I opened the door, I saw him pacing back and forth and he stopped to lock eyes with me. I took a big gulp watching the anger and rage that stayed in his eyes.

SASUKE'S POV

Everything was going fine until we were at the springs and of course someone had to ruin it. I paced back and forth as I thought of the encounter from a few minutes ago.

I was enjoying the hot water against my skin as I glanced over in the direction Sakura was at, that's when I heard people swim towards me. Looking up I saw it was Kiba and Chouji. I sighed wondering what they wanted. They all began to laugh and joke about the girls being half naked as I felt the anger begin to rise gluing my eyes over to Sakura once more. That's when he said it. "Yeah, but most of all it's nice as hell to see Sakura like that. She sure has grown into herself over the years, and it is definitely hard not to stare when she looks like that. Maybe I should swim over and pretend to drown so she'll give me some old-fashioned mouth to mouth, what do you say Shikamaru?" Kiba laughed, patting him on the shoulder. I couldn't hold back my anger as it finally boiled over. I had no room to be angry, did I? Sure, me and Sakura had grown really close but no one besides Naruto knew, so how could I blame them. I don't want to hold Sakura back from someone who could give her what she wanted. I know she really wanted someone to show her off and be able to admit their feelings for her publicly. I couldn't give her that. I couldn't be selfish. The growl came out of my throat before I could stop it and all I could think of was needing to get away before I snapped. I climbed out getting dressed in a hurry, not daring to glance over to Sakura who's eyes I could feel burning into me with wonder. I heard Shikamaru talk aloud. "Kiba you idiot. Sakura is... taken." I didn't stop to listen further as I took off as soon as I hit the tree line, flying through them without a second thought.

My mind came back to the present moment as I heard the door to the inn open and my head snapped over to see who it was. Green eyes met mine as I stopped in my tracks. She looked relieved when she saw me standing there until worry settled into her eyes. "Sasuke-Kun, what's wrong, why did you leave?" She questioned in a small voice. I averted my eyes and ignored her stocking off into the room to get away from her prying eyes. I heard her follow behind me and I let out a frustrated sigh. "Sasuke-Kun, hello?" She questioned once more grabbing my shoulder. I spun around facing her and her eyes widened as she took in my angered features once more. "I-I ... What's wrong...Sasuke-Kun '' She finally said again in a small voice, retreating her hand away from me. "Why do you want to be with me, Sakura!?" I questioned loudly. Her eyes shot up to mine again with curiosity, and she scrunched her face up. "Where is all of this coming from? You know it's always been you, Sasuke. No one else has ever come close to your spot in my heart." She replied whole heartedly. I rolled my eyes before answering. "But WHY ME Sakura. There are plenty of people better than me. Plenty more people who can give you what you want. Instead of taking away from who you are and what YOU want for their own selfish reasons!" I screamed my anger, unable to hold itself in anymore. Sakura got a hurt look on her face, but she continued to stay in place reaching for my arm once more. I yanked back and stood waiting for an answer.

"Sasuke-Kun, people can't help who they love. Nor do I want to. You don't just choose upon will! I have loved you for longer than I can remember, and I don't mind the rest. That's what makes you, you. The man I love. You are thoughtful, and you are kind. You care about people more than you care about your own wellbeing. We wouldn't even be having this conversation if that wasn't the case. You are just scared of someone getting too close again because you love so much when you do, and you are scared you will lose them. But I assure you Sasuke-Kun I know all of that and you will not lose me too. I have studied you more than I am willing to let on and I will do or will be whoever it takes to make you happy in the same way that you make me happy." Sakura said with determination in her eyes. "But can't you see Sakura? I can't be like them! It is just not me." I motioned towards the direction of the springs. "I can't just be open with my feelings and wear my heart on my sleeve. That's just not me. It's never been me. How is that fair to take that away from you!? I can't be selfish with your wants and needs. You deserve so much more than I can give you." I yelled turning back around. "You're not taking anything from me! I am choosing this Sasuke! I want this. I know 100% for certain what I am getting myself into. I am a big girl now. I can take care of myself and make my own choices. I am a lot stronger than I look." Sakura said with a firm tone. She grabbed my face, holding it into place. "You have given me plenty. You have given me my team back, my family. You have given me more love and more happiness than a normal person would even get to feel in a lifetime just in the time it has been since your return. I know what I want. I want you, Sasuke Uchiha. I want you when you are happy, and I want you when you're mad or sad or sleepy. I. Want. YOU, no one else. There has never been and there will never be anyone but you." She murdered with a look of determination that was unwavering.

I put my hand on her chest and pushed until her back hit the wall gently before leaning down hovering above her lips. "No one else?" I questioned looking into her eyes feeling my heart pound at her words. "Only you, Sasuke-Kun." She whispered back. That was all I needed before I pressed my lips to hers hungerly and wound my sole hand into her hair. I felt all of my anger go away and be replaced with satisfaction and the feeling of her unwavering love as her lips began to move with mine. With my new sense of newfound confidence, I grabbed her waist and carried her to the bed laying her down not breaking our kiss. We grabbed and pulled at each other while our hands wondered about each other's bodies. I broke away remembering that the door was open as I walked over shutting and locking it before making my way back over to her. I pulled off my shirt and we began the battle between lips once more until we both were out of breath. "What about the springs don't you want to go back and enjoy the heat?" I murmured to her. "I am plenty warm enough here." She said, wrapping her legs around my back pulling me in again. Clothes stripped off one by one and we both laid there not a stitch of fabric on us. I felt my sharingan activate as a wave of emotions soared through me. "Are you sure you want to do this? There is no going back?" I questioned feeling hesitant. "You are the only one I ever want to see me like this. You are the only one I want to experience this with. Only you." Sakura said, smiling up at me. I nodded with a smile spreading across my face and positioned myself.

No one had questioned our absence as we gathered all of our belongings and headed to the meet up spot. We all walked at a leisurely pace and Sakura's hand kept brushing against mine. I stared at her for a moment before deciding to grab it in mine. Her eyes darted up to mine and she smiled up with a red tint forming on her cheeks. I heard Kiba gasp from behind us and I smirked to myself while looking forward. No one said a word about it. Once we arrived, we all grabbed food and provisions for our journey at the market before making our way to the bus, climbing on. I left Sakura into the seat first before I climbed in behind her. Everyone chatted excitedly about their expectations upon arrival. I couldn't care less where our journey took us. I thought to myself glancing over at Sakura as she talked over the seat to Naruto. As long as I had her by my side, I would be okay going anywhere.
