In the empty treasure vault, the Risky Brothers lay there badly scorched.
"S-she's so brutal."
"It's like she's some kind of crazy pirate demon woman."
A few moments ago, the two of them had been apprehended by Astrid, who began to extract information from them.
"So you want to tell me exactly what's been going on and where the treasure is?" she asked as they tried to wriggle free from her grip.
"You're the one who should be explaining things, pirate woman!"
The two of them managed to wriggle themselves free and drew their weapons as they faced both Astrid and Fishlegs.
"It's payback time!"
"Prepare to die!"
"You really think you can take me?" said Astrid as she drew her axe. "A little word of advice for the future, never get between a pirate and treasure, or you may end up with an unpleasant surprise."
"You're dead!"
The two of them then jumped at Astrid.
"Valkyrie Inferno!" Astrid roared as flames began to cover the blade axe.
With one single swing, she unleashed a powerful inferno at the Risky Brothers.
"She made my everything hurt, and I know we said way too much."
"Don't forget; Mistress Perona wants the treasure too."
"That's right; she'll never let them take it away from her. Still, I wish we hadn't told them about the shortcut."
"We messed up," they said in unison.
Astrid and Fishlegs were now taking the shortcut and were quickly heading their way towards the Night Fury.
"That cheeky little brat, not only is he stealing all the treasure on the island, she's also stealing our ship to use it as her getaway boat!" Astrid yelled.
"I don't want us to go immediately and help Hiccup and the others, but this is a more pressing concern," said Fishlegs.
"Then we better hurry and get back to the Night Fury."
They managed to make it outside and began running across the bridge Eret had made earlier.
"Hang on, what's up with this weird bridge?" Astrid frowned. "It doesn't look like anything else around here. It's narrow, but it's really well made."
"Oh, Eret made that so that we could make our way across after it was demolished by Hiccup's zombie," Fishlegs explained.
The ground then suddenly shook, and they spun around to see Oars had just been flipped upside down.
"What just happened?" Astrid stared.
"Looks like Toothless and the others were still battling that monstrosity," said Fishlegs.
"I wish we could help, but saving the Night Fury is our top priority," said Astrid.
They then continue to make their way towards the dock.
Oars was still upside down and understandably was quite furious.
"Now you've done it! When I get back up, I'm going to stomp you, pipsqueak pirates, flat!" he roared. "There won't even be any bones left to bury!"
His roar was enough to shake the ground.
"Oh crap, this guy is seriously pissed off!" Chopper cried.
"This is bad! Really bad!" Snotlout panicked.
"Here he comes!" Ragnar warned.
Everyone got ready to open fire, but it turned out Oars was having a few problems as he seemed unable to get back up.
"What the hell! I can't move!" he roared; he looked down and saw that his horns were stuck in the ground. "My horns, they're stuck in the ground!"
The Dragon Riders smiled evilly, not wanting to waste this opportunity.
"Ah, you're stuck, huh?" said Eret.
They then all slowly began making their way over to him and then probably began beating him up with everything they had. The zombies on the other side of the mansion could hear his screams and his flailing around.
"No way! You don't think that all that screaming sound is coming from Oars?"
"Maybe Oars just like screaming when he's kicking ass! I mean, come on, it's not like he could actually be losing, right?"
Oars finally managed to free himself and rose to his feet, even more, furious than before.
"Cut it out!" he roared.
"Retreat!" Snotluot yelled as he ran.
"All right!" said the twins as they all followed his lead.
"These guys are like little demons," Oars growled.
"Guess that wasn't enough to keep him down," said Ragnar.
"So it seems, unfortunately," said Heather.
"Okay, what are we going to do now?" Toothless asked.
"If we're going to take down a giant monster like this one, we need to think smarter, not work harder," said Eret.
"We're open to suggestions," said Ragnar.
"I've got an idea!" Tuffnut cried.
"You do?" said Ruffnut shocked.
Tuffnut then whispered something in her ear, and she immediately beamed.
"That's genius!" she said.
"Mind feeling in on this master plan?" Ragnar asked.
"You'll see, but first, we need a lift," said Tuffnut.
"What exactly are the two of you planning?" Toothless asked.
"You'll see," said Ruffnut.
"Rag, give us a boost, won't you?" Tuffnut asked.
"This had better work," said Ragnar.
The twins immediately rushed over to Ragnar, and they jumped. Ragnar then quickly performed a spin kick and launched them up towards Oars with all his strength.
"Do you really think the two of you can stop me?" said Oars.
"That's where you're wrong," said Tuffnut.
"We're coming for you, you big bastard," said Ruffnut.
The two of them then landed on top of his head.
"Take this!" they yelled, and they began standing on top of his head.
"This was their big idea?" said Toothless.
"I believe that a yes," said Heather.
"I was expecting a lot more," said Chopper
Snotlout rolled his eyes. "Why were we expecting anything more from those two?"
"I can't believe I had something to do with it," Ragnar groaned.
"What do they hope to accomplish?" Eret asked.
"You do know you two aren't hurting me, right?" said Oars.
"We haven't even started," said Ruffnut.
"And you think you can become King of the Pirates?" Tuffnut laughed. "You're nothing more than size and brute strength; you're nothing but the world's tallest joke."
"Yeah, not to mention our captain is 10 times smarter than you are," Ruffnut added.
"Moron! Moron!" the twins cried in unison.
"What did you just say?" Oars growled.
"If the giant shoe fits," said Ruffnut.
"In a handful, pirates were able to knock you down before, and you somehow think you are going to be king of all pirates?" Tuffnut laughed. "Basically, nothing more than an embarrassment."
The twins then laughed.
"You're going to regret saying that; I'm going to smash you flat!" Oars roared as he raised his fist.
"Time to go!" said the twins and quickly jumped off Oars' head just as he swung his fist.
So instead of hitting the twins, he ended up punching himself in the face.
"Yeah, we did it!" the twins cheered.
"How does it feel knocking yourself down with your own punch?" Tuffnut jeered as Oars almost toppled over.
"I can't believe that actually works," said Ragnar stunned.
"They actually did have a plan, and it was a good one," said Toothless.
Oars managed to catch himself before he toppled over the twins and quickly fell back.
"Crap, he didn't fall!" Ruffnut cursed.
"Damn, we were so close, too," said Ruffnut.
"He's as stubborn as he is tall," said Ragnar.
"One thing though, while he has Hiccup's personality, he doesn't have his brains," Snotlout observed.
"Well, I can only speculate that he wasn't that smart, to begin with," said Chopper. "After all, Moria gave him Hiccup's shadow, not his brain."
"I think you're right," Heather agreed.
"Maybe we can use that to our advantage," said Toothless.
Everyone got the idea and immediately scattered.
"Hey, you still hungry big guy?" Snotlout asked.
"Yes, now that you mention it," said Oars.
"Well, you come down here, I'll give you a taste of a knuckle sandwich," Snotlout jeered.
"How about I give you one instead!" Oars roared.
Eret used this distraction to his advantage and slammed his super nunchucks into the back of the knee on his left leg, and Toothless did the same with his swords on his right. This caused him to fall to his knees.
"Still can't believe you were so easily distracted," said Toothless.
"I'm not complaining it makes taking him down all that easier," said Eret.
"All right, he's down again after a blow to the kneecaps!" Snotlout cheered.
"I can't believe they got me again," said Oars.
"Given up, you guys!" Eret yelled. "Just him until the captain beats the crap out of Moria! Hurry and get the shadows back, captain!"
"There's no reason to keep screwing around like this; let's put him down for good," said Toothless.
Eret stared at him. "If thought the idea was to keep this big monster busy to make sure he doesn't get in Dragon's way! There's no way we can beat this thing, man!"
"True words have never been spoken; all you done is make me even more angry," said Oars.
"A fight is never truly all over until you've won," said Toothless.
"He's not just a giant. He's a zombie," Eret reminded him. "To beat, you're going to have to purify him."
"He's right; we're just buying time, Toothless," said Snotlout.
Ragnar then stepped forward. "If you don't want to help, stand back. I don't feel like waiting around for Hiccup to win either."
"You're crazy," said Snotlout.
Heather chuckled. "They've made up their minds; there's no stopping them."
Oars then raised his fist. "Dragon…"
Toothless merely drew Autumn's Fall. "A dinosaur could step on this blade, and it wouldn't bend a millimetre. They say that hardening is the greatest characteristic of a black blade." He then began to draw his remaining swords. "With Autumn's Fall, I finally got my hands on a straight sword, and I think this is a perfect time to try it out."
"Why do you have to be so stubborn?" Snotlout questioned. "Just let Hiccup beat Moria."
Hiccup was still in the forward, searching for Moria as he had lost sight of him once more.
"Where did he go?" he said frustratingly. "I'm getting real sick of this running around. What I need is a bird's eye view of the area."
He then immediately took off up into the sky and looked down. It was then that he sported Moria, hiding amongst the trees in the forest.
"There you are," he said and swooped down towards him.
Perona and the zombies were still loading the Night Fury.
"Stop right there!" a voice yelled.
Everyone looked up and saw Astrid, and standing beside her was Fishlegs.
"Who is that, and what did they want?"
"It's that pirate woman and that husky pirate."
"What, you think you're on board the Night Fury?" Astrid asked.
Perona looked at them and gave a sigh of relief. "I was worried there for a second, but it's only you. How do the wedding ceremony with Absalom go? Over already?"
"Give me a break; who wants to ever marry that invisible pervert beast-man?" Astrid snapped angrily.
"If he has to resort to kidnapping and for a shotgun wedding, no one," said Fishlegs.
"I take it then you manage to escape the wedding," Perona soon looking at Astrid. "Absalom can't do anything right. So what are you two going to do? As you surmised, I do plan to steal your ship to escape from Breakneck Bog, and I'm bringing all the treasure with me. If you try to stop me, I'll fight both of you, and you won't like that."
Fishlegs leaned towards Astrid. "Careful, Astrid; apart from Moria, she is possibly the most dangerous person on this island."
"You should heed your friend; I am a force to be reckoned with," said Perona as she created miniature ghosts. "Truly the only one among you that the fight against me was that egotistical snotnose guy."
Astrid then looked over her and stared. "Who is that?"
Suddenly appearing directly behind Perona was an extremely large man holding a Bible.
"Mistress Perona! Run, don't look back!" the zombies cried.
Perona quickly turned to face the mysterious person. "Just who in the hell are you?"
Her eyes immediately widened as she recognised him.
"We don't know him, but he's definitely an enemy. Just now made, some of our brothers vanished without a trace right before our very eyes," a zombie reported.
"He is no ordinary man! He's dangerous!"
"Whoever he is, he's bad news!"
'Vanished?' Astrid stared.
Perona looked upon the stranger to the, terrified. "No, it can't be… I-I think I know who this man is." She was so terrified that she toppled over. "It's him… One of the Seven Warlords of the Sea… The Tyrant Kuma Bartholomew. The atrocities he committed when he was a pirate were beyond the pale."
All of the zombies immediately looked upon Kuma in fear.
"Do you know what that means? He's got the same rank as Master Moria!"
"What a guy like him doing here on Breakneck Bog?"
"You've got to be kidding," said Fishlegs horrified.
"We already had trouble with one Warlord. Now there's another," said Astrid stunned.
Perona looked at Kuma shaking her boots.
"Do you work for Moria?" Kuma asked.
"What?! Master Moria?!" Perona panicked. "I was, but I'm not any more; I've had enough of this. I'm just trying to escape from this island; I want no part of it."
"She's telling you the truth," said a zombie.
"That bastard, what does he think he is trying to do with Mistress Perona?"
"If you could take a vacation, where is it you would like to go?" Kuma asked.
Everyone just stared at him, shocked.
"He's making small talk?" said a zombie.
"This is not the time or place for such nonsense!" Perona snapped and began to daydream. "But if I were to go on a vacation, somewhere dark and damp. Somewhere within an old creepy castle, I would spend every day there singing a song of curses."
"She answered?!" the zombies cried.
"That's the Ghost Princess for you."
"I agree; we love your answer, Mistress Perona!"
Perona then quickly snapped out of the daydream. "I got caught up in my daydream."
She then quickly rose to her feet and faced Kuma, no longer afraid. "Stop screwing around! I admit I was taken aback when I realised who you were, but I've got nothing to fear. With my Devil Fruit powers, there's no one I can take down, and that includes you!"
Kuma just remained silent and began looking through his Bible as if she didn't exist.
"Are you listening to me!?" Perona yelled. "I imagine that your shadow is pretty strong, isn't it, Kuma? Good then, I'll take it from you as a parting gift to my former master Moria. So prepare yourself! Negative Ghost and Special Hollow!"
Perona then conjured up a number of ghosts and had them fly straight at Kuma, and the zombies cheered.
"All right, there it is!"
"Mistress Perona's ultimate combo!"
Kuma just stood there as the ghosts flew towards him, and he removed his glove. Then he swung his hand at Perona, and seconds later, she completely vanished without a trace.
Everyone just stared in utter silence.
"Before you enter after all that yelling, I was simply going to ask you whether Moria is," said Kuma as he put his glove back on.
"Where did she go?" said Astrid stunned.
"I don't know," said Fishlegs, equally stunned.
The zombie stared in silence but then quickly panicked.
"What happened to Mistress Perona!"
"Mistress Perona!"
"What was that? I'm scared!"
"She disappeared, but how?"
The zombies then quickly glared at Kuma and surrounded him.
"What did you do to Mistress Perona, you bastard?"
"Unforgivable!"
"Where is our Princess!"
"You're going to pay!"
Kuma just remained silent and looked at them, and instantly, fear overtook them, and they ran away.
"He's scary!"
"Run for it!"
Now the only one remaining apart from Kuma was Astrid and Fishlegs, who just stood there stunned.
"You are the War Maiden and the Weather Wizard, aren't you?" he said, looking up at them. "Members of the Dragon Rider Pirates. I've heard that Hiccup D Haddock has an older brother…"
Then suddenly, he disappeared into thin air.
"…is that true?" said a voice behind them.
They quickly spun around and saw standing on the battlements was Kuma.
'No way, he suddenly appeared up there. Did he teleport?' said Astrid.
'I sure hope we don't have to fight him as well; we have enough problems with one Warlord,' said Fishlegs as he began to sweat.
"Yeah, he does," said Astrid trying to remain calm. "You're talking about Ace, right? Why do you want to know?"
"I see, so the rumours are true," said Kuma.
"Yeah, so what is all this about? What do you want? Are you really are Warlord?"
A split second later, he vanished once more. They quickly looked around and discovered that he was now approaching the mansion.
"What I am doing here is none of your concern," he said as he walked away.
"That guy is bad news," said Fishlegs. "What does he want with Hiccup?"
"We have to warn him," said Astrid.
Hiccup had now captured Moria and had placed him in a neck lock.
"I have you now, Moria," he said and then used his strength to pin him to the ground. "You're not getting away this time. Now you know what's good for you; you'll give everyone shadows back."
However, when the dust cleared discovered that it was not Moria, he had captured but his shadow.
"I've been chasing his shadow this entire time?" Hiccup yelled.
