The situation wasn't good, the sun was about to rise, and their crew had been annihilated in the short span of five minutes.
"That only leaves five left," said Oars.
"Now commence with the stomping and finish them all off," Moria commanded.
Oars then began making his way towards them.
"Please, no!" Snotlout yelled.
"What now?" Fishlegs asked. "We've already thrown everything we've got at him, and he still standing."
"There's got to be something!" Snotlout yelled. "Come on, think you guys!"
Astrid and Toothless looked at one another and nodded.
"Snotlout!" said Toothless. "Me, after all, make an opening for you and the twins."
"Here goes nothing," said Astrid as they charged in.
"What? Make an opening for what?" Snotlout frowned.
"I know what he's planning!" said Ruffnut.
"It's worth a shot," said Tuffnut. "Come on, Snotty! Let's get to work!"
"What are you guys talking about?" Snotlout frowned as the twins dragged him away.
"Dragon…" said Oars as he swung his fist at Astrid and Toothless. The two of them quickly jumped and landed on his arm. "… Fist!" He then began leading his head backwards. "Now, Dragon…"
Astrid raised her battle axe. "Valkyrie…"
"… Horn!" Oars roared, head-butting them before Astrid could counter.
The two of them barely had time to block the attack as they were sent flying backwards into the mansion. They looked up and saw Oars coming in with another fist, but they were able to jump out of the way to avoid it.
"Move it!" Astrid yelled.
Toothless looked up and saw Oars coming at them once more. They quickly jumped out of the way. He then had to do a second jump to avoid getting squashed again, and Astrid soon joined him.
"One of those hits us; we're dead," said Toothless.
"We can't keep this up forever," Astrid agreed.
Toothless then looked at Snotlout and the twins. "Are they ready yet?"
Snotlout was manning the catapult once again under the twins' instructions, and this time, that power was the bag of salt Skull had managed to acquire.
"You may be a giant, but the Snot is about to show you real men come in all sizes!" Snotlout yelled.
"We just need to have his mouth open wide enough," said Ruffnut.
Tuffnut looked at Astrid and Toothless. "We need you to open that guy's big mouth!"
"I still like to know what the plan is," said Astrid looking at Toothless.
"I'll explain if we survive this," said Toothless and then looked up at Oars. "Hey, pay attention! If it was up to me, I would keep fighting you until I couldn't lift my swords, but we're almost out of time. What, you say we end this right here and now?"
"Gladly," said Oars.
Moria laughed. "Oh, we'll end this, but honestly, you don't think the two of you can think you can actually win after those beatings you talk about, do you?"
"Of course we do," said Astrid smiling.
"My we have some real optimists here, don't we?"
"We can be pretty stubborn when we set our mind to it," said Toothless pointing his sword at them.
"Now, why don't you show us what you've got," said Astrid as she gripped her battleaxe tightly in hand. "Take us down if you can."
"Bah, these fools are trying to mess with your head, Oars," said Moria. "Less talking, more pounding!"
Oars then jumped high up into the air. "I already know that already. I'll take them down on my own, master. Just watch me!"
Oars managed to reach the top of the mast and fell straight back to the ground.
"Dragon…" he roared.
"Astrid! Toothless!" Fishlegs yelled.
Astrid then began spinning around and began creating a tornado with her battleaxe. "Valkyrie…"
"… Fist!" Oars roared out, stretching his fist.
"… Storm!" Astrid yelled.
She then unleashed a powerful tornado which collided with Oars' fist, and she began using all her strength to hold him back. Oars then suddenly felt his attack being deflected, and it hit the ground hard.
"I'll get you!" he roared, but then he discovered that his left fist was now stuck in the ground. "Crap, my arm is stuck!"
"Toothless, it's all you now!" Astrid yelled.
Toothless nodded as he drew all three blades and then jumped at Oars. "Three-Sword Style: Demonic Raven!"
He then rolled up Oars' arm like a ball cutting through his skin with his blade as he did until he reached his shoulder. Oars then immediately began to roar in pain.
"Did they stop him?" Fishlegs asked.
"Guys, now!" Toothless yelled.
"Attacking my left arm again?" Oars roared. "That ain't going to work. I told you so."
He then swung his right fist at Toothless, who quickly jumped out of the way in time.
"That's enough of you!" Oars roared.
Then suddenly, he vanished.
"Where did he—?" Toothless stared.
"Toothless, behind you!" Astrid yelled.
Toothless spun around, but he was too late. A split second later, he was struck by Oars' knee and was slammed into the mansion wall.
"Toothless!" Fishlegs yelled.
They watched as Toothless collapsed and hit the ground.
"That's another one down," said Oars.
"Hey, Oars!" Snotlout yelled.
"Over here, stupid!" Tuffnut yelled.
"We've got something for you!" Ruffnut yelled.
Oars turned to look at them, and Snotlout immediately released a catapult. A split second later, the bag of salt and in his mouth, and he swallowed it whole.
"You guys got him," said Fishlegs stunned.
"What the heck was that? What you put in my mouth?" said Oars.
Moria looked horrified and furious at the same time. "You didn't! You little bastards!"
Astrid looked around, confused. "Is someone going to tell me what just happened?"
"I did it; I got him!" Snotlout cheered.
"Oars, swallow the salt!" the twins cheered cheerfully.
"Is anyone can tell me why salt is so important?" Astrid asked.
"Oh, that's right, you don't know," said Fishlegs remembering Astrid wasn't with them when they discovered the weakest of the zombies. "If you feed the zombies salt, it kicks out their shadow."
"Just watch and enjoy the show as Oars is done for!" Snotlout cheered.
Sure enough, they saw something trying to get out of Oars' mouth, and it looked like a shadow.
"That's Hiccup's shadow!" Fishlegs pointed.
"It's over, you big damn monster! Good riddance!" Snotlout jeered. "You lose!"
However, their celebration proved to be short-lived as exiting from Oars' mouth was not Hiccup's shadow but Moria's. To make matters worse, Moria's shadow was holding the bag of salt in its hand.
Moria then laughed. "You thought you had me, ha?"
"That was Moria's shadow," said Ruffnut.
"And it has the bag of salt in its hand!" Tuffnut added.
"Give me a break; you don't think I don't know my own weakness?" Moria sneered. "It was so hard not to laugh. Oh, but it was worth it. I was guarding him with my shadow the entire time, watching you numbskulls stumble all over yourselves for nothing. Too bad."
Snotlout fell to his knees and roared in frustration; their one hope had been dashed.
"I know how important salt is to you, so take it back," said Moria.
His shadow then immediately tossed the bag of salt at them.
"Look out!" Astrid yelled.
The bag of salt then struck the twins before they could get away, knocking them out cold.
"Ruff! Tuff!" Fishlegs yelled, rushing to their side.
"They're fine, Fishlegs, just out cold," said Astrid as she bent down to examine them.
Fishlegs looked at the salt and tried to scrape as much of it as he could from the ground. "Skull risked his life to get us this salt. We can't lose it! Guys, help me! We've got to try again and again, no matter how long it takes!"
Fishlegs only stopped when he saw Oars' giant foot hovering directly above him.
"Dragon Stomp!" Oars roared.
"Finish him!" Moria ordered.
Astrid and Snotlout watched, horrified, as Oars slammed his foot directly on top of Fishlegs. They could feel the shockwave from where they were and were sent flying backwards. When they looked back up, they saw, to their horror, that Oars were stomping on the ground directly above Fishlegs.
"Fishlegs!" Astrid screamed.
"What kind of monster attacks a guy when he's down!" Snotlout yelled.
Moria laughed as he looked at the two of them. "What's that now? Don't want us to stomp your friend? Then we'll stop you instead!"
Oars then jumped into the air and came crashing down on top of them.
"Crush them!" Moria commanded. "Crush them all! Stomp until there's nothing left to stomp! And when you're done here, crush the ones we've already beaten. They're still breathing, you know. You have a job to do, and we won't be happy until they're splattered as a bunch of pancakes!"
Oars then continue to stomp on top of Astrid and Snotlout.
"Hey, big guy," said a voice behind him and Oars immediately stopped. "You might want to stop that. What do you think you're stomping anyway?"
Oars turned around to the main mansion and saw standing there was Hiccup.
"If you're looking for these three, then you're not even close," he said and wrapped around his arm. He was carrying Fishlegs, Snotlout and Astrid.
"We're still alive?" Fishlegs blinked.
"I don't know what's going on, but thank you," said Snotlout relieved. "That was a close call back—"
Then the three of them looked at Hiccup and were stunned because he was completely different.
"What?" Astrid gasped.
"Who are you?" Oars demanded. "Get lost!"
"You don't recognise me?" said Hiccup. "The name is Hiccup D Haddock."
Hiccup was currently in his human form, and he was as big as Moria now, and his skin was nightmarish blue. It looked as if he had taken a massive amount of steroids, and strapped to his back was a massive long sword.
"Hiccup?" Astrid, Fishlegs and Snotlout stared.
"Can't be; I mean, he's blue," said Fishlegs.
Snotlout looked at him. "Really, that's the first thing you comment? Not the fact that he's packing 10 times as muscle as before?"
"Are you really Hiccup?" Astrid asked.
"Don't worry, it's me," Hiccup assured them. "There is a good explanation for my appearance, but I don't have enough time to explain it."
Moria was also rather surprised. "I thought he could only turn into a dragon; how did he get so big in his human form? Could it be…"
Hiccup then placed the three of them down. "So he already took out the rest of the crew, huh?"
"Yeah, afraid so," Fishlegs nodded. "He teamed up with Moria; we hardly stood a chance."
"Is that right?" said Hiccup's turn to face Oars. "You guys better stand back."
"Wait, you're going to fight on your own?" Snotlout stared incredulously. "He doesn't just have a fighting ability, but now he can stretch his limbs. I know you got big all of a sudden, but he's way bigger!"
"You do have a plan, right?" Fishleg asked.
"What exactly is going on here?" Oars asked Moria.
"It doesn't matter," said Moria dismissively. "Hurry, and crush them."
"As you wish," said Oars as he raised his fist. He then pulled it back and began twisting his arm around. "Dragon…"
"What's he doing?" Snotlout cried.
"He's giving his punch more power," Fishlegs quivered.
"… Twister!" Oars roared, slamming his fist at Hiccup with all his strength.
Hiccup merely raised his hand and caught the fist stopping in its tracks, much to everyone's shock.
"There is only one Hiccup," said Hiccup as he began transforming his hybrid form, which caused him to grow even bigger. "And that's me. You got a problem with that?"
He then unleashed a plasma blast right in Oars' face, creating a devastating explosion and knocking him backwards.
The zombies outside of the mansion watched as Oars came flying towards them.
"What's that?"
"It's huge!"
"It's flying!"
"No way! It can't be!" they said in unison. "That's Oars!
Oars then fell directly on top of them, crushing them beneath his weight.
Astrid and the others just stared, speechless and what they had just witnessed.
"That is Hiccup, right?" Snotlout asked, finally breaking the silence. "We are sure about that?"
Hiccup then took off at an incredible speed straight at Oars, who had just sat back up. However, he had a chance to recover Hiccup flew straight past him, wrapping his tail around his horn and slamming him back down onto the ground.
"Got no idea what's going on here," said Fishlegs.
It was then they saw movement and voices coming from the courtyard.
"He did it! He really did it!"
"He put Oars in his place! Now is our chance!"
"Let's find them!"
"Hang on, who are these guys?" Snotlout asked.
They were, in fact, the Rolling Pirates, and they were searching for the Dragon Riders, which had been taken down by Oars and Moria.
"I've got nothing! Do you see anyone?"
"No, not over here!"
"Oh, hey!" said the skinny brother noticing Toothless. "Man, these guys don't look so hot."
"About another one," said a pirate looking at Ragnar.
"Oh wow, these wounds are really bad," said a pirate examining Eret.
A pirate then bent down towards the twins. "These two out cold!"
Another pirate managed to locate Chopper. "They took a beating out there."
"This guy's got nothing left but bones," said a pirate looking down at Skull.
Lola then bent down and picked Heather up. "It's too dangerous to leave them here. Hurry, get them somewhere safe!"
Astrid and the others looked down at the Rolling Pirates, but they assumed they were zombies.
"Who are these people? I can't tell what they're doing down there?" said Fishlegs and looked to the others. "Do you think they're zombies?"
"I don't know, but it looks like they're taking the crew away," said Snotlout.
"Then we had better go and stop them," said Astrid.
Snotlout and Fishlegs nodded.
Hiccup, meanwhile, was still battling against Oars, and he was easily overwhelming him.
"Dragon Talon!" Hiccup roared, kicking Oars in the face with so much force that he fell to the ground again.
The zombies just looked on in horror.
"Oh man, this is getting way out of hand!"
"He's kicking Oars' ass. That ain't right; that just a right."
Hiccup then grabbed Oars hair and began collecting over his shoulder, slamming him into the ground. Moria was still inside and was getting knocked around a fair bit from all the brawling.
"But together out there!" he yelled. "Hey, Oars!"
A zombie then rushed towards the other zombies.
"Hey, guys! It's even worse than we thought!" said a zombie. "Master Moria is in Oars' stomach!"
"What!?" they yelled.
"How? How can the master of all the zombies on Breakneck Bog lose? He has Oars at his command; he's supposed to be invincible, right? This is a make any damn sense. Oars is a legend, a demon, and our master is one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. They should be able to stomp every pirate in the world. Just who the hell is this guy?"
Hiccup had now grasped Oars' long hair and began spinning him around. He then slammed him into the ground repeatedly, making sure not to give him time to recover.
Astrid and the others had finally made it down, and Lola explained everything to them, though they found it hard to grasp.
"I don't get?" said Snotlout.
"He's Nightmare Hiccup?" Astrid frowned.
"So, to be clear, you stole a hundred shadows from the zombies and then stuffed them into Hiccup's body, and that's what made him so big?" Fishlegs summarised.
"Yes, exactly right," said Lola. "It gave him the strength he needed."
"To be honest, when we saw him transform, we got pretty freaked out ourselves," said the masked brother.
"Either way, that power of his is going to last another two or three minutes," said the skinny brother. "After that, all the shadows will go flying out of his body, and he'll go back to normal."
"I know we sprung this on without asking or anything, but we just want to be human again. We just want to see the sun and leave this island no matter what it takes."
"I know it's crazy, but it's the only way."
They then turned to the sky and saw that he was getting a bit brighter, indicating the sun was almost upon them.
"Dawn is almost upon us now; in the next few minutes, the fate of every last victim on the island will be decided," said Lola. "Fight well, Nightmare Hiccup. We're all counting on you."
Hiccup had finally released Oars sending him flying straight through the mansion, causing everyone to panic.
"He'll crush the entire building!"
"Let's go before he crashes us too!"
Looking down from the main mansion in Moria's Chambers was Kuma, and he was watching the battle with great interest.
"I can't believe what I'm seeing," said Astrid.
"You really did it, Hiccup!" Fishlegs cheered.
"Eat that Oars!" Snotlout yelled.
Oars then got back up and looked at Hiccup furiously.
"Little punk," he growled and then charged at him. "I'll squish you flat! Now Dragon Fist!"
Oars raised his fist at Hiccup, who merely drew the sword on his back. Then, Hiccup struck him with his sword across his chest before Oars could swing his fist.
"Come on, Oars! Your pathetic!" Moria growled as he picked himself up. "Even if he is big and blue, there is still only one of him! Dammit, where did he get all that power from anyway? I had better get out of here before he comes after me."
Unfortunately, before you change, Hiccup's only appeared directly in front of his cockpit.
"Plasma Blast!" Hiccup yelled.
He then fired a plasma blast directly at Moria inside his cockpit, creating quite an explosion,
Oars then raised his leg to perform a mighty axe kick. "All right, Dragon…"
Hiccup then began to spin around, moving faster and faster.
"…Axe!" Oars roared, bringing his foot down right on top of Hiccup.
However, Hiccup used to spin in order to evade Oars' attack, which passed him harmlessly and left him wide open.
"Now, Plasma Storm!" Hiccup roared.
He then began firing multiple plasma blasts directly at both Oars and Moria in rapid succession. Neither of them had any time to recover as they were slowly being pushed backwards.
"Master Moria!" a zombie cried as they watched helplessly.
Hiccup kept up the onslaught until he ran out of juice. Oars then began to topple backwards directly into the courtyard.
"He's coming down! Be careful!" Lola yelled as everyone scattered.
Oars crashed into the main mansion, and everyone stared as he fell to the ground.
"Guess we don't need salt after all," said Snotlout.
"Wait a second, where is Hiccup?" Astrid asked.
Then they heard a massive crash and turned around to find Hiccup across to the ground out of pure exhaustion. He got to his feet, but then all the shadows inside his body immediately shot out of him.
"The shadows, they're all leaving," said Astrid.
"Whoa, that looks bad," said Fishlegs. "Do you think he'll be okay?"
As the shadows left his body, Hiccup returned to normal size, and his loose skin returned to its normal colour. Once the last shadow had left his body, he then collapsed to the ground.
"Hiccup!" Astrid screamed, dashing off towards him.
"Hey, you're alive, right?" Fishlegs asked as he and Snotlout did the same.
The Rolling Pirates just stared, stunned.
"Wait, we're not dreaming our way?" said the skinny brother.
"I never thought I'd see this day," said the masked brother.
"It's true; Dragon really is our saviour!" Lola cheered.
"Oars is down! The battle is over!"
"We're finally going to get our shadows back! Breakneck Bog has fallen!"
