Olivia: Phew, this dance is a tough one... I think I'm finally starting to figure it out, but it'll be a while before I can even think about performing it in front of a crowd. *sigh* I just need to keep at it, I guess...
Link: Wow, that dance was-
Olivia: OH, GODS!... W-Where did you come from?!
Link: ...Oh... I, uh... I was sleeping in one of those trees...
Olivia: Geez... And here I thought no one would find me out here in the woods.
Link: When I woke up, I saw you dancing down below... It was so... mesmerizing... I couldn't bring myself to interrupt you... Sorry if that's creepy.
Olivia: Oh no... You saw all of that?!
Link: Probably most of it... yeah.
Olivia: But that dance wasn't finished! I had so much more practicing to do, and now you must think I'm a terrible performer...
Link: What?... No, I just said your dance was amazing... I've never seen a performance that good, I mean it.
Olivia: No, no, no... You're just trying to keep me from feeling bad. Really, it's okay... I can take the criticism.
Link: Olivia, you're so hard on yourself... I promise that I couldn't even tell you were practicing, that's how good you were.
Olivia: I just find that hard to believe, is all.
Link: I know... but you should believe it. In fact, my homeland is home to a legend about one of its creators... Din, the Goddess of Power... They say that she would take the form of a human and interact with the common people... More importantly, they say that she was a dancer who could captivate any audience.
Olivia: A dancing goddess, huh?
Link: Sometimes I wonder what it'd be like to witness one of her performances... Now that I've seen what you can do, though?... I bet you could give Din a run for her money.
Olivia: You're comparing me to a goddess? Link... you can't be serious...
Link: Well, don't worry about it... Eventually, you'll realize how good you are... Anyway, sorry if I intruded on your practice. I'll let you... uh... Hey, what's wrong?
Olivia: ...
Link: ...You okay, Olivia? You're all red in the face...
Olivia: I... Sorry, I'm just so... embarrassed! You're this young, handsome guy... You got a private viewing of one of my dances... Now we're talking in the middle of the woods, all alone... Everyone's going to assume the worst about me... *groan* I should have never come out here.
Link: It's... It's not that big a deal, though... right? I'll just pretend I never saw you, and-
Olivia: Please don't think I'm weird or anything, but I... I have to go! S-Sorry!
Link: ...Man... My introductions in this world never seem to go right...

Olivia: I'm getting closer... I've never heard a bird sing such a beautiful song before. I wonder if I'll find it...
Link: Olivia?
Olivia: *gasp* Oh my god... I don't know if my heart can take another scare like that.
Link: What are you doing all the way out here?... You're not lost, are you?
Olivia: N-No, I... This will probably sound stupid, but... I thought I heard a bird singing, and I followed the sound here.
Link: Ah... Maybe you heard my ocarina? I tried to find a secluded place where I could practice.
Olivia: That was you?! Oh... Then that means I'm intruding this time...
Link: No, you're fine... I don't mind if anyone hears my-
Olivia: I'm so sorry, Link. I'm leave right now, and I won't-
Link: Hey, slow down a sec!... You're not bothering me, seriously... Do you wanna stay and talk a bit, maybe? I feel like we got off on the wrong foot last time.
Olivia: I don't know... I... We could try, I guess.
Link: Great.
Olivia: ...
Link: So, uh... You... like dancing, then?
Olivia: Y-Yes...
Link: Have you... been doing it for a long time?
Olivia: I... suppose so.
Link: ...That's, uh... That's really interesting... Always good to have a hobby... y'know?
Olivia: ...Y-Yeah, sure...
Link: ...
Olivia: I... I need to go! I'm going to explode from nervousness if I keep this up.
Link: W-Wait, am I... doing something that stresses you out?... Is there something about me that rubs you the wrong way?
Olivia: No, no! It's not you, Link... I'm just a nervous wreck most of the time. It doesn't matter who I'm talking to.
Link: I get it... I'm not usually much of a talker myself... When I see how anxious you look, I get kind of anxious myself... It's contagious.
Olivia: I'm sorry that I keep running away, but... I think I should leave and save us from any more of this awkward tension.
Link: What if we don't talk, then?... We could do other things, right?
Olivia: L-Like what?
Link: You found me here because you followed the sound of my ocarina... I could play a song for you if you'd like.
Olivia: That's right! You were making that beautiful melody... I didn't know you played an instrument.
Link: Yeah, I've been playing for a good amount of time. I learned more out of necessity than genuine interest... but it's something that I enjoy, nowadays.
Olivia: ...I would love to hear a song... if you don't mind.
Link: All right, let me think... Most of the songs I know are pretty basic... Might be kinda difficult to impress you... Actually, I have another idea.
Olivia: Yes?
Link: You're a dancer... but have you ever played an instrument before?
Olivia: I haven't. I like to sing, though. Basilio and his men have always told me I'm 'gifted in the art of music', or something like that. I'm... not sure how true that is.
Link: You wanna try playing a duet with me?... I bet you'd pick it up real quick.
Olivia: H-How would we... Oh! You have a second one.
Link: This ocarina was a gift from an old friend of mine. She gave it to me a long time ago, but I've got my own now... Why don't you keep hers, and then we can practice when we meet up?
Olivia: You'd really trust me with this? We don't know each other that well, do we?
Link: Hmm... I don't know, but I still trust you... If you want it, it's yours.
Olivia: If you say so, Link... Wow, I'm getting excited to try it! Do you wanna teach me now?
Link: Yeah, let's give it a try.

Link: Wow... You really are good with music... You're probably better than me, and you haven't even practiced much.
Olivia: Heehee! Link, I don't mean to put you down, but all the songs you've taught me are pretty easy to play. Most of them only go on for a few seconds... They're catchy, but I think even a child could learn them without much trouble.
Link: Heh... Yeah, I guess I did learn some of those as a kid... Even though I've been playing for a few years now, I'm definitely not the best person to be teaching you. I should have said as much earlier...
Olivia: T-That's okay, though! I like learning from you. You're shy like me, so I was nervous to be around you at first... Now though, I'm really glad that you're the one teaching me... It's because you're so gentle, I think. I'm not afraid of messing up or disappointing you because you're so easygoing.
Link: Mmm... Glad you think so.
Olivia: I was thinking... maybe I could try adding more to some of your songs? Like, making some new sections?
Link: That's a cool idea. You think you'd be able to do that?
Olivia: I... I'm not sure, really... I've never composed music before... but it couldn't hurt to try, right? While I was traveling with my theater troupe, I did spend a lot of time around musicians, and sometimes they would create music that would compliment my dancing... I might know a thing or two?
Link: ...Like you said, it wouldn't hurt to try. Even if it doesn't work out, it'll probably be fun.
Olivia: Exactly!
Link: So, is there a specific song you'd like to work on?
Olivia: From the few you've taught me, I enjoyed that cheerful, forest song the most. It's so upbeat that I can't help but move my body!
Link: Saria's Song?... Yeah, it does tend to get that type of reaction. You should see the Gorons when I play it for them.
Olivia: Saria? Is that someone you know?
Link: Yeah... She's a girl from the village I grew up in... I wasn't very popular with the other kids, but she always stood by me... She's the first friend I ever had, and one of my most cherished.
Olivia: She sounds like a very special person.
Link: Yes, she is... The fairy ocarina that I gave you was originally hers. She gave it to me right before I left on my journey to save Hyrule, and she was also the one who taunt me that song.
Olivia: Oh, gosh... I'm sorry for wanting to mess up her song, Link. Doing something like that would be so disrespectful...
Link: Nah... don't worry. Knowing Saria, she'd love your idea. If she knew someone liked her simple tune enough to make it even better?... She'd be overjoyed.
Olivia: ...I'll try it, then... I'll try to add some new material to her song, and when you go back home one day, you can share it with her!
Link: ...That would be amazing, Olivia. I'll help you out with it as best I can... Maybe we should start another time, though? It's getting kinda late.
Olivia: Oh, okay... Can I ask you something, though? Why haven't you taught me all the songs you know?
Link: Which songs?
Olivia: Back when you were writing down the notes for me, you were talking to yourself. You said 'Oh no, I can't teach her that one. That would end terribly.'... I feel like I'm a lot better now, though. I can handle it, Link.
Link: Ah... W-Well... It's... It's not that you can't play those songs. They're as straightforward as the others... I just can't let you play those songs.
Olivia: ...I don't get it.
Link: I won't blame you for thinking I'm full of it, but... one of those songs, if I play it on my ocarina, will summon a downpour of rain at any time... Like, a real, full on rainstorm... Anytime I want.
Olivia: But... that's absurd.
Link: It is. It's one of the abilities I've gained as Hyrule's hero, I guess... I doubt that you would be able to cause the same effect if you played the song... but it's best to be safe, I think.
Olivia: That's a lot of power for one person to have. You could cause flooding and ruin people's land if you abused that.
Link: I tried my best to only play that song when I needed to, for that reason. I have another song that makes the sun rise or set whenever I play it... That's the one that really worries me...
Olivia: Link, that's... That's terrifying!

Olivia: Tonight's the night... Do you think we're ready?
Link: As far as the performance goes? I think we're more than ready... We've been practicing 'Olivia's Song' religiously... If I don't have it down yet, I never will.
Olivia: Ugh... Will you stop calling it that? It's not my song, it's still Saria's. I may have fleshed it out a little, but that doesn't mean it belongs to me.
Link: You did way more than just 'flesh it out a little'... C'mon, give yourself some credit... With everything you added to it, I think it really is your song.
Olivia: All right, all right, you can call it that. It's just embarrassing, that's all. Everyone'll think I have a giant ego...
Link: No, they won't. Don't stress out about it... You're just overthinking things.
Olivia: I know I'm not the most confident girl around, but I'm feeling good about my dance... I feel prepared.
Link: How about your nerves? Keeping them in check?
Olivia: Yes, I feel fine, actually. I might not have told you this, but I usually manage to stay pretty composed when it comes to dancing on stage. There's something about performing for an audience that's different. Maybe I'm too excited to be anxious.
Link: Huh... I wish I could handle my nerves like you can... I've been anxious about this day for weeks.
Olivia: Hah! Wow, that's the first time someone's said that to me!
Link: It's true. You're so self-assured right now... I'm not used to seeing this side of you.
Olivia: I feel like I can't afford to doubt myself in these situations... We've practiced so much and worked so hard... I live for opportunities like this... Even I realize that I can't let my emotions get in the way now. If I did, then I'd really feel bad about myself... It might be hard, but there are times when I just have to go for it... That's the only way I'll be happy.
Link: ...'Just go for it', huh?
Olivia: Yes, that's right.
Link: ...
Olivia: ...Y-You're staring, Link... Is what I said so strange?
Link: ...This might not be the best timing... but there's something I need to tell you, Olivia... If I don't, then I'll never be happy.
Olivia: ...O-Okay?
Link: I think I... love you.
Olivia: Oh, thank you... I love you, too... W-Wait, what am I saying?... What are you saying?!
Link: I, uh... I love you?
Olivia: You...You can't say that! That's not supposed to happen!
Link: ...Why not?
Olivia: But you... You wouldn't joke around about this kind of thing... especially on the day of our show... How can that be?! That means you actually like me?
Link: ...Yeah, I do.
Olivia: But this is insane! Out of all the women in this world and in Hyrule, you're picking me?!
Link: How could I not?... You're the most beautiful woman in this world and in Hyrule.
Olivia: This is... This is too much...
Link: Woah, woah... Sit down if you need to... Just don't faint on me.
Olivia: This means we'll get to perform our song tonight as a couple?... And that we'll get married one day?
Link: Yeah... I guess so... As long as you say yes, at least... You haven't really told me if you-
Olivia: Absolutely, I want to be with you, Link. I've... wanted this for a long time, but I never thought It'd actually happen...
Link: Once we finish your song, we could announce our marriage plans to all the Shepherds while they're in one place... That'd make for a crazy ending, wouldn't it?
Olivia: That sounds wonderful, Link, but let's focus on the performance for now... We need to make sure everything goes to plan, so that we don't let Saria down. Now that I'll be going to Hyrule with you, I need to bring her good news when I finally meet her!
