Timeline- After Amelina met Maschenny

"-and finally they reached the top of the tower. The end," Eira chirped, adjusting the small girl on her lap.

Amelina's eyes sparkled in amazement. Such childish stories wasn't exactly her interest, but this one was an exception.

The King and 10 Great Warriors

She didn't know why but the story somehow draws her in. And she imagined what would've happened, if she herself went on such an extraordinary journey.

And the most important thing was freedom.

Eira smiled in satisfaction, seeing Amelina flipped the pages over and over. Asking for children books from the other maids definitely wasn't a bad idea after all.

"Miss, do you enjoy this book?" Miru silently chuckled at his young mistress' antics. For the two servant, witnessing Amelina acts like a child was a bliss. They knew the young miss was a little different, after being with her for so long.

Amelina nodded, eyes still trained on a page.

'Will I ever be free like these adventurers someday?'

Miru and Eira nodded to each other. Looks like their plan to make Amelina see Eduan in a new light worked!

Amelina hummed, swinging her legs and still absorbed in reading the story again after she was ready to go to sleep. Too absorbed that she didn't realize another figure entered the room.

Her father, as in one of the 10 Great Warriors.

Khun Eduan raised his eyebrow at the girl. It was rare to see his daughter still awake when he came in. Still, he liked this better than when Amelina pretended to be asleep.

He approached the girl, setting himself just beside her on the large bed. "What are you reading?"

Instead of replying, Amelina enthusiastically showed the book cover, and honestly for Eduan, it was the first time Amelina ever gave him that sparkling eyes.

Amelina's probably the closest child to him, yet she never asked for anything even when he's literally one of the richest man in the whole tower.

Sometimes, he even wondered what kind of person he is in the little girl's eyes. (Believe me Eduan, you don't want to know.)

"Hm? What's this?" Eduan widened his eyes at the familiar title.

The King and 10 Great Warriors

'Does things of the tower interests her?'

"Do you like the story?" Eduan initiated. It's a good chance to know how his daughter think of him.

Amelina nodded furiously, once again scanning the pages and trailed her fingers along the figures of drawn-warriors.

"I like their friendship."

"Friendship, huh.."

Eduan could feel his sense of pride swelling from inside, but he wondered how would the girl react to their relationship now.

The already broken relationship.

The thing is, Amelina actually didn't know that one of the warriors is actually the man beside her right now. Just because one of the characters was depicted in blue, it doesn't mean Khun Eduan, right? There's no reason for her to associate anything blue with her father, or her family in any case.

"This one is cool," Amelina pointed to a certain drawn-figure. The spear-bearer of the team aka Eduan himself. "He can fight in either close or far distance. Like an all-rounder."

The blue haired man grinned at the indirect confession of awe and admiration.

At least, that's how Eduan saw it.

"So, you like this one the most?" Eduan put Amelina on his lap, resting his chin on her head. To say that he's elated is quite an understatement, with the big grin adorning his face.

There's no doubt that Amelina would choose him.

Too engrossed in the book to notice the close contact, Amelina hummed in thought before flapping a few more pages.

"I like this one the most," Amelina mumbled, just enough for the older man to hear.

'What.'

And Eduan grimaced at his daughter's choice, inwardly cursing the all-white figure either in the book or in real life.

Of all people, why Arie Hon?! It would've been better if it was Yeon Hana or even Eurasia Blossom- wait no.. Why didn't Amelina choose him? In what way was he inferior to that white bastard?!

"Why him?" Eduan gritted.

Oblivious to her father's irritation, Amelina turned to reply (with sparkling eyes). "His sword looks cool!"

Snap.

Without a word, Eduan left the room leaving the confused Amelina alone.

'What's wrong with him? He's moody than usual,' Amelina stared at the door where Eduan left, then shrugged. 'Oh well, time to sleep.'

A sudden rumble reached the little girl's ears.

'Looks like it'll be raining tonight.'

The next morning, the residents of the floor was stupefied with the catastrophe on a certain area, as if someone had attacked it. Or was it?

The whole Khun family knew better.

The wrath of the family head, as how the family quoted it.

But what made the Khun Eduan that angry to actually release his tensions like that? He'd never bat an eye even when his children was killed.

"So you like this white one the most?" Maschenny chuckled. A Khun choosing an Arie? How irony indeed.

'How would father react when he hear about this? Oh, maybe he already did? That explains the mess in the west side this morning.'

On the other hand, the oblivious Amelina happily hummed, sitting beside Maschenny on the bed.

Too happy that she didn't even try to run away or hide when Maschenny visited her.

'I wonder if there's a sequel for this book. Oh but this is a children book. Guess there's none,' Amelina thought.

Though to be honest, she didn't even need a sequel of the book if a character of the book is literally living with her.

Author's note:

Yup. The first bonus chapter.

Honestly I did this one every morning in my car on the way to school. More like, randomly typing the things that came to mind, so yea- sorry for the short and crappy chapter. Also, sorry for those who wishes for more Eduan moments or fluffs that I honestly have no idea how and what to write lol.

Though I'm very thankful for the thoughtful readers (and even wishing me luck on my business course works *sobs* I really needed that since business is not my major).

Thank you very much for the supports!

Sayonara! Love chu guys!!
