Review(s)
firefire199: Thank you for your review! I'm glad you like the lead ups. And I'll be honest. I've always been more of a realist. And it's been hard staying positive due to lack of enthusiasm in my story, but I have to realize that those who do get to read it will either be rewarded with a great story, which will not go completely bonkers with 9,000 transformations, but will be hard hitting, rated M for Mass amounts of blood and tears. Or they will feel disillusioned with it overall. Whatever the case, I am glad you are one of the ones who do like, and you will get what you've been waiting for. Stay tuned!

"YEAAAAAHHH!" The young man was amongst the many hundreds out an about, partying and drinking. The music that was playing was loud, and obnoxious, but the atmosphere was good.
Parties had been thrown consistently since the military had deemed the area safe for travel.
"Greg pass me a beer!" A girl yelled out over to the guy near one of the many coolers that had been brought.
"S-sure." Greg was the average guy. 21 years old and in his last year of college. It had only just begun a month an a half ago and he was already fried!
He stood up, reaching into the cooler, pulling out 2 alcoholic beverages. Tossing one to the the woman who asked. He nodded his beer towards her as she did the same and went back to her group.
"Dude how you gonna pass that up?" His friend, Tyler asked, walking up from where they had parked their hovercar.
"And what? Cheat on Alice?"
"Man you need to give that up home boy. You've been broken up with her for 3 months."
"Easy for you to say Ty. We were high school sweethearts and she wanted to pursue her law career. Who am I to get in the way?"
"Exactly, either you would have loved her enough to change your life to suit her. Hell you didn't even blink when she said she was done."
"May..maybe you're right. But not today."
"Geez bro. Look I'm gonna go over there and see if those girls are single. You stay here and sulk like a little bitch all you want."
"W-wait-" Greg went to say but was already talking to air as Tyler had ran over towards the girl he had given one of these beers to earlier. Turning back, he was barely 50 feet away from the very reason everyone was partying out here. In November last year, something cataclysmic happened in this general area. It was reported that fires had swept through and killed many of the forest land and even most of its creatures. There were also reports of the planet quaking in this general area at the time. A farmer had even testified before a military jury that an spherical air ship of some sort had landed near his property, and that an alien had approached him, with supernatural abilities. It was bizarre! The alien catching a bullet? Shooting it faster then the man's gun had produced the bullet in the first place with and destroying his car? Unbelievable! But one tale that stood out was a few small town reports of seeing a hammer like object being flung in the air from an unknown entity. That very hammer was sitting only mere feet away from Greg right now. Many people had tried lifting this weapon. It had not budged in the near year it had been set there. Greg himself had even tried, way back in March. His experience with the weapon was weird. He had expected the metal to be cold to the touch. It had been sitting out there all winter at that time! But no, it was warm, almost hot, and it felt heavy. So heavy! Whoever was lifting this thing had to have some serious muscle! When he had released the weapon, he felt drained, like the process itself of trying to even lift it had done him in. Other people had described a similar feeling. Others had described nearly feeling like they had run a marathon and were on the verge of a heart attack!
Greg watched as another helpless victim tried to lift the weapon, which had taken on a legend of itself. There was a story of a God like being whose hammer, ironically of all weapons, could not be lifted but by those who were truly worthy to wield such a weapon. It was mesmerizing, but also significant. Could there be a God who had walked among them recently? He wasn't sure, but he did know that the weapon was a strange one. And he didn't want to try and lift it again anytime soon.
"Heeey dude." Greg snapped his head back around, taken out of his daydream by his friend running back to him.
"What's up man?"
"So her name is Kenzie, and she's feeling you dude. So we need to-"
"HOLY SHIT!"
A cacophony of sounds, mostly of shock and awe, some of surprise, others clearly gaping at the scene. Everyone, including Greg, Tyler, and the 2 girls who had came with Tyler to meet Greg, all turned towards the hammer, watching as the rocks surrounding it began to shift. The air around the weapon felt heavy, atmosphere changing into something different, as a lightning bolt, small but fierce, arced across the hammer, followed by another.
"HARRY GET AWAY FROM IT!" The boy known as Harry would forever tell of a tale that he had held onto this weapon, feeling so many different emotions, but also a feeling of tremendous pride in the craftsmanship of the weapon.
WHIRRR
Another bolt flew across the weapon, forcing the 18 year old Harry to feel a rush of pain, but he still did not let go of the weapon. The rocks surrounding the weapon began to levitate, some floating inches, some as many as a couple feet off the ground. For several moments there was hushed silence, everyone clearly enamored by this process. It was then a young woman ran out towards the site, towards the young blonde haired man who was lost in a daze.
"HARRY LET IT-!" That was all she got out before the hammer lifted off of the ground. Electricity, followed by fire and ice flowed across the weapons surface for only a fraction second before it shot up out of its levitation, forcing Harry into the air for only a handful of feet before he let go. Harry was fortunate he had let go when he did, otherwise he would have suffered severe injuries. He fell back the 20 feet that he was lifted, clearly lost in a daze. He landed on a group of people who had come closer to the hammer when it had begun to levitate. Many watched as the hammer ascended high into the sky, giving off a sonic boom as it soared and broke the sound barrier...

"Ah hem! Helloooo!"
"Agh! Who goes there?"
"Kami? This is King Kai. Just thought you should know that the warriors you sent here to train under me are on their way! They will be able to turn those saiyans into dirt just you watch hm hm hm hm!"
"Ahh. Well thank you King Kai, I shall go and retrieve them."
The link cut off abruptly, leaving the namekian deity to his thoughts. Today was the day. After Piccolo, Gohan and Chi Chi left the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, he sent them all back down to the planet, looking to meditate on his feelings. His premonitions had not gone away. He could still see Piccolo's death, along with his own. But it also came with something else. A green sky, blue trees, standing amongst many of his own, each with their own reaction to his presence. He saw a young namekian child, no more then a handful of years old, in his very position! He was seeing events that would not happen for years down the line! Only glimpses, but he knew somehow that he would outlive this encounter. But it was all jumbled, foggy. He couldn't tell how far exactly into the future he was looking at, but he knew today was pivotal. So he brought himself back to the present. Opening his eyes and looking out over the edge of his Lookout, he could sense the warriors, all huddled up at Capsule Corp. If the mad Saiyan Raditz had come now, he would be in serious trouble! But these saiyans that were coming now were in a league of their own. He remembered the conversation he had with Piccolo just a short few days ago...
Kami watched as Chi Chi, Gohan and Piccolo exited the Room of Spirit and Time. Each felt tremendously improved. Piccolo and Gohan's Gi's were in tatters. There were what looked like burn marks and slashes across the dress that the young mother wore, but they all looked confident.
"Wow, you three are definitely stronger." Chiaotzu said from one of the pillars.
"Thank you Chiaotzu. That room was exactly what we needed." Chi Chi said.
"Hmph. We need to meditate. Clear our minds. That place is loathsome." Piccolo grunted. The biggest change that was obvious was Gohan. The boy looked an inch or two taller, and the haircut he had before had already started growing back out. Though not quite as long as it was before, it was still longer then Chi Chi liked, but he refused the haircut this time, at least until the saiyan threat was over.
"That place was torturous. I agree with Piccolo. It'll also help us maximize our strength before we have to fight." Tien pointed out.
"I don't know about you guys, but I feel like we have a shot now. We need to get back down to Capsule Corp and get prepared."
"That is a good idea all of you. I hope that this training has benefited you all yes?"
"Yes Kami." Several chorus' of agreement went about, making Kami half smile.
"Fight hard. The people of this planet will unlikely know of the sacrifices you put yourselves through to get to this point, but know that those who matter to each and every one of you will never forget."
"Thank you Kami."
"You are quite welcome. I wish you all the best of luck in the coming fight."
They gathered to leave, however Piccolo could sense that Kami still had a few words to say to him specifically, so he turned around.
"I'll meet up with you in a short while. It seems that Kami and I still have...unfinished business." Piccolo was cryptic, which concerned his young pupil. Piccolo was usually always transparent, but that statement threw him off. But before he could say anything more, his mother and his Dad's best friend were holding him by the shoulders and pushing him towards the edge.
"Let's go Gohan. We don't wanna get in the middle of that!"
"But Krillin-"
"No buts Gohan, let's go!" Chi Chi said quickly.
"Don't take to long Piccolo, if you can help it. I've been waiting to test my new strength against you."
"Sure, Shinhan."
After Tien and Chiaotzu left the Lookout, the only ones now occupying it were both namekian's, and the genie.
"Mr. Popo, if you would please gather 2 cups of the Glacier Water, I would appreciate it."
"Of course Kami."
And then there were 2. They both shared intense gazes at one another. One young, vibrant and full of youthful vigor. The other far older, wizened, eyes seeing more then physical.
"You have changed greatly Piccolo. When you were first born, I expected to deal with a far more demented and dangerous version of your father. But it is ironic. Heavily ironic I must say. I had a small laugh at the thought. We have almost come Full Circle."
"Cut it out with the cryptic crap old man. What are you saying?" Piccolo didn't have time for this. He needed to get back down there, to make sure his pupil, his...teammates were ready. It was then that Mr. Popo returned. 2 glasses, clearly cold and full of water, which he handed to Kami. Kami in turn handed one to Piccolo, who took it with a snatch and a snarl.
"It was the human influence that tainted my soul, that made me unworthy in the previous Guardian's eyes. It is the human influence that has greatly diminished the taint with which your soul has permeated previously. The human influence. It truly is wondrous. I dare say in a few short years, we can achieve our own...balance."
"That doesn't help the situation NOW Kami. So what was the point of this small talk?" Taking a sip of the ice cold water felt rejuvenating to the young namekian warrior. He couldn't help but sigh in small happiness at it.
"Ahhh, still impatient. Perhaps, with time, you will understand. But you are right. We mustn't waste any more time. Finish your glass and get going Piccolo. You and the others have a world to save."
Kami watched as Piccolo drank the rest of the water in 2 more gulps, wiping his arm across his mouth to dry it. He set the glass on the ground and started walking away.
"Good luck Piccolo."
"Luck is for those weak enough to depend on it. You keep your luck." Kami couldn't help but let out a small chuckle/scoff at that...
That was nearly 3 days ago. And Kami was still thinking on the conversation. It was true: They were in the process of coming Full Circle. 'It will certainly aid our...ReFusion in a number of years.'
Standing there, looking down towards the Earth, his charge, he realized that they could fuse now, and the saiyan threat would be neutralized far easier. However, there was the matter of the Dragon Balls, and that little inkling in the back of his mind telling him that if he did this now, it could be catastrophic. So he held off. It would give Piccolo more time for his part of their soul to cleanse further, and it would give Kami the time he needed to also prepare.
"Kami, come quick!" Mr. Popo nearly yelled from the entryway.
"Hmm?" Turning a quick mind's eye towards the main hub of the Lookout, he could feel why Mr. Popo was...sounding excited.
"I'll be right back Mr. Popo." Kami said as he shifted his energy, appearing quickly in front of King Yemma.
"King Yemma? Are they here?"
Before the Ogre King could answer, they were interrupted by a sudden brush of wind at the door. Kami couldn't help but almost let his jaw drop!
'Has King Kai's training truly made them this strong?'
Shepard and Yamcha came through the door, looking confident. Both had built up a small sweat, flying nonstop with the Kaioken on and off for nearly 3 days, only taking small breaks to guzzle down water, Shepard happily taking a gifted Saiyan Meal from King Kai. But they made it!
"We're ready to kick some ass." Yamcha said, walking towards Kami.
"And the others?" Kami had wondered where Goku and Raditz were, expecting to bring all 4 with him.
"They had a little...unfinished business. Nothing to serious. But we're here now, and ready to take the fight to those bastards." Shepard said, smirking.
"I see that King Kai's training has benefited you both greatly. Perhaps when this is-"
"You are in the way of the line! Get going now or I will lose my patience!!" King Yemma boomed from above.
"Right! My apologies! We shall go at once! Hold onto me the both of you."
Shepard and Yamcha each grabbed one of Kami's shoulders.
"Dude I'm touching God."
"Really man? Really?" The sensation of being warped through a dimension was difficult to describe, but it was near instantaneous, and before they knew it, all 3 stood on the Lookout.
Shepard didn't waste a moment. Using his senses, he looked straight in the sky.
"We gotta get going. Now! Kami do you have that capsule I left with Nimbus?" The question elicited a small smile from the ancient namekian, who reached into the scarf he wore around his neck, pulling out the little black and purple capsule.
"I hope that this was worth holding onto all this time. The Nimbus cloud just kind of...dropped it into my hand and flew off."
Shepard took the capsule from the namekian, giving a small nod in thanks. Popping it, it exploded outward with a puff of smoke.
"It will be so worth it. Thanks Kami."
"Hey is that what I think it is?" Yamcha asked, surprised at what he was seeing. It looked like some kind of long, jacket like apparel, white in color that emerged from the smoke.
"I got something for that Little Shit when he gets here. Him and Mr. Clean!"
"The big bald cleaning dude in those funky commercials?" Shepard looked over at Yamcha, shocked.
'So there are some similar things that occur on this Earth compared to ours?'
'Totally fucking weird Marc, but I guess that's how it works!'
"Y-yeah! I'm shocked you would even know about that."
"I was a kid once, I had a tv ya know. I saw a couple of the commercials back then. If one of the saiyans are like that dude, we got this in the bag."
"Don't count your chickens yet Yamcha. They're straightforward, but so chaotic. We have to be on our p's and q's on this."
"Shepard is most certainly right Yamcha. The Saiyans are ruthless warriors who will kill you if given the opportunity."
"Ugh. You think I don't know that? I was killed by one last year!" Yamcha said, holding his hands up in anger.
"Look none of that matters NOW." Shepard finally said, pulling the jacket over him. It was lengthy and went down below his knees, but a laugh from Yamcha stifled his exciting thoughts.
"What the hell is that hahahaha on the back man hahahahahaha?"
On the back of this jacket was a series of art, depicting a giant green worm chasing what appeared to be a small, pointy haired man colored in blue, dust picking up from beneath the small man's feet. The jacket was in one of the capsules that the Old Man had left him.
'He must have mocked Vegeta at a party later in life or something. Our older self was killed embarrassingly by Raditz. It would've humbled him far too early and he was likely in a far more serious state of mind by this point in his life.'
"You like it? He he he he. I heard through the space grapevine that the Royal Saiyan Family has a phobia of worms. So what better way to set him off?"
"You sure that's a good idea man? He may just outright destroy the planet!" Yamcha was amused at first, but the implications were becoming far too unsettling for the Desert Bandit's tastes.
Shepard checked his watch. Still on Full Assist Mode, it had many features. Clicking a couple tiny buttons on the side, it showed that the invisible Electrical Field surrounding him was at 100 percent efficiency, as well as the Blutz Wave Barrier. It was another thin shield that was within the IEF. When Bulma from the future created the Watch, she installed it in the event there was ever a mass of saiyans of any kind that gathered on Earth, she would have these watches available so that the Blutz Waves would stop at the barrier, not allowing them to enter a Saiyan's eyes and brain pattern, enabling the monstrous transformation.
'You're really thinking about this aren't you Shep?"
"Yeah, I may have to deactivate it. I don't know if I'll be able to control the transformation outright, but I can't let Vegeta have that advantage over me. I don't know exactly how strong he is, so I can't take too many chances."
"Nah. He won't destroy it. He wants a piece. He wants to get his hands dirty. Prince Asshole wants to rip me apart, so he's gonna get every bit of these size 12's crammed up his monkey ass!"
"While I appreciate your...desire to win this battle, I must press upon the fact that the Saiyans will be here in minutes. So it would be wise to get going." Kami insisted.
"He's right Shep we gotta jet!" Yamcha was already walking towards the edge.
"Thank you for holding onto this for me Kami!" Shepard cheerily said, pulling out the last item. He let out a big smile, running to catch up to Yamcha. He put the ear buds in, looking at one of his customized music players. Pantera's Walk blared into his eardrums, eliciting a sigh of pure determination.
"Whatcha playin man?" Yamcha said. Shepard, thankful that the ear buds were wireless, took one out and jammed it in Yamcha's ear. The Desert Bandit's eyes widened, before he subconsciously started shaking his head to the music. Yamcha jumped off the side of the Lookout, head still jamming as the air and gravity took him down. Shepard turned around, saluting the God and his assistant before falling backwards, letting the air flow through his spiky wild hair.
"YAAAAAAAHOOHOOOHOOOOO!" He yelled, breathing in the fresh air, free falling at an insane speed. Flying down, he knew that Korin had plenty of senzu beans. Aligning himself with the Power Pole still hooked between Korin's building and the Lookout, he yelled out.
"KOOOOOORRRRIIIIINNNNN!"...
Korin and Yajirobe were posted in the tower. Korin had felt 2 massive powers heading towards Earth only days ago, and now he felt 2 more. But these 2 were far friendlier. He had a feeling he would need senzu beans. He had also received a visit from Old Man Shepard, and was told to be prepared. And though he was disappointed that he would not be there to help the Z Fighters as much as he could, the older version of the person currently above explained a few excerpts of what had occurred in his timeline. He could not grow them fast enough to help maintain Earth's warriors, so Shepard made a choice to use the Dragon Balls to wish for a near infinite amount of senzu beans. It was a selfless wish, so Korin had let it slide. But he would always be ready to offer his aid to this beautiful planets warriors should the need arise. But in the meantime...
"Ya know if you got off your fat ass and actually trained with the others you could've helped them!"
"Hmph, like I want anything to do with that. I'm good." Yajirobe said, stuffing his face with the massive turkey leg that he had...acquired.
"Whatever. Next time someone climbs up, you're helping them. And you should go get a job or something. You eat all my food!"
"You always complain Korin but I don't see you doing anything about it."
"Oh but I can if you-"
"KOOOOORRRRRIIIINNNNN!"
Korin heard the roar of his name. It was powerful! He hopped off the chair, jumping up top the table, opening one of the pots, where he had a bag awaiting him. Grabbing his famous stick, he put it threw one of the tied holes, picking it up and preparing to toss it away.
"TAKE EM OUT KID!"...
Shepard did not stop his flight. He flew straight down like a bullet, watching a small bag being hurled out the side of Korin's Tower. He caught up to it before it could descend, saluting Korin and the Yajirobe and not stopping at all. Looking at his watch, it read 8:32. He had a little time!Straightening out his flight, he ignited his aura, speeding away...
"How many of those damn beans do we have left?" Piccolo asked.
"I have 4." Krillin answered
"6"
"2"
"That's all?" Piccolo nearly yelled. The 6 warriors had gathered at Capsule Corp for the last couple of days. Piccolo and Tien had increased their meditation time, trying to pull every drop of potential out that they could. Chi Chi insisted that Gohan study, but the boy only did so partially. He joined in Piccolo and Tien's meditations when he could. They had even introduced him to Image Training, unbeknownst to his mother. Chiaotzu had asked Piccolo to conjure 1 ton stones for him to increase his telekinetic strength. Krillin and Chi Chi sparred in the Kachi Katchin Gravity Room, though it did very little for their overall strength considering it only currently went up to 5x Earth's Gravity. Bulma had insisted that she could attempt to raise it higher. But she needed more time, and they were now out of it.
"We can't take too many of them Piccolo. You saw what happened to Krillin that one time."
"Don't remind me. Please. Please just don't remind me."
"Enough!" Piccolo cut the small chatter between Krillin and Tien. "We each take 2, and hope we don't need any more then that. We need to head out. When the saiyans arrive they will likely head towards us if we draw them to us, away from civilization."
"But Mister Piccolo, what if they land in a city? Won't they try to hurt people?" The innocent boy asked.
"He's got a point Piccolo. We may have to confront them directly."
"No! Innocent people will get in the way of our fight if we try to take them on in the city."
"Maybe that's what they want us to do."
"Chi Chi if that was the case, why didn't Raditz just do the same? Go to a city of people and take them out to draw our attention? He went straight for Goku. If they have those scouter things then that's what they may do."
"You raise a good point Tien, but you have to-"
All talking ceased for several moments as all 6 warriors looked up, each in various degrees of shock.
"I-is that?"
"It can't be!"
"Amazing!"
Tights and Bulma looked at each other, both confused by the warriors actions.
"Guys?"
"What's going on?"
"I only feel 2 of them. But if that's only 2... Guys we may actually pull this off!" Krillin was giddy. He didn't feel Goku, but he felt Yamcha and...
"Is that Shepard?"
"Shepard? He's...is he?"
"Yes that's definitely Yamcha and Shepard. Their power has increased dramatically." Piccolo couldn't believe it! Even at their current level, he couldn't beat either one! Not even Yamcha. It grated on him heavily!
"Damn. Outclassed by Yamcha. Who would've thought that eh Chiaotzu?"
"He must've did some serious training!"
"We better go!" Piccolo ran towards the door, aura igniting and taking off quickly, heading in a direction towards the mountain ranges. Gohan ran out after him, followed by Chi Chi, Chiaotzu and Tien.
"KRILLIN!"
"Eh?" Krillin was just about to run out the door before Tights stopped him.
"Tell...tell Shepard that someone really wants to meet him. And that he better survive, or I'll use the dragon balls again to wish him back so I can kill him a third time." Tights sweetly said, smiling as she did. Krillin shakily nodded, knowing who that someone was. He backed away out of the door before quickly taking off and catching up with the others...
8:42AM
Shepard and Yamcha were making a lot of time, sonic booming past the speed of sound.
"Where is it? Where where where where?" Shepard was looking for his most treasured love, besides Tights.
"I can't feel it. Where the hell is it? Marc?"
"Dude just put your fucking hand out like Thor would. It's come to you before, it'll come again."
"Heeeey you're right! Thanks buddy."
"Buddy? Really? You call Goku buddy. I'm you dipshit. Buddy? Asshole."
"Blow me!"
Shepard felt the mental middle finger his alternate gave him, chuckling internally.
"Well? Can you find it or not?" Yamcha asked from next to him.
'I always called it to me on reflex. But can it work from up here?' Deciding to just go with Marc's idea, Shepard held his hand out, facing downwards towards the ground. He closed his eyes, trying to feel for the BanHammer. He was very surprised to find the weapon's presence within his mind. It answered his call instantly.
"I got it, let's BLITZ!" Shepard yelled out, taking off and sonic booming away, Yamcha following in a shouted daze. He hit the speed of sound quickly, flying towards where he knew Vegeta and Nappa might land. He looked down, smiling wide as he saw his beautiful, gleaming weapon catching up to him, a familiar whirring sensation approaching. It fit into his hand perfectly! He nearly cried at the sensation of the now warming metal.
"Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes YES!" Shepard held the weapon up, feeling it steadily grow in weight as it leveled off with his newfound power!
"A boy and his hammer." Yamcha mumbled.
Shepard's excitement was short lived, as he saw from an incredible distance away, what looked like 2 small balls breaking through the atmosphere.
"We gotta go. Now!" Shepard said, taking off in a hurry towards the pods...
East City
8:56AM
The beautiful, bustling East City was a tremendous hub of culture. People were bustling about, mothers with their kids in their strollers, a young couple here and there enjoying the beautiful morning. The smell of fresh donuts ran through the air in some parts of the city. Small cafe's with customers aplenty inside, getting their coffees and breakfast sandwiches to begin their day. The civilians were unaware that this would be the day their end could come, oblivious to their surroundings. It wasn't until they heard what sounded like an airship of some kind above their heads. Many looking up and seeing 2 spherical...ships of sorts, coming in at an incredible rate of speed.
"GET DOWN!" A random man yelled upon looking up and seeing the ships. Many got out of the way, however there were a few that unfortunately did not move fast enough.
BOOOOOM
BOOOOOOM
They cratered in the middle of Main Ave and Fuiry St, right in the forefront of the city. 3 people had been caught in the impact, their bodies being horrifically torn to shreds as the space pods had landed. There was very little blood that could be seen due to it being vaporized from excessive heat. A cloud of smoke billowed out from the impacts, clearly a couple of hover cars getting caught in the mix and being torn to unrecognizable metal. There were people screaming in terror, clearly not expecting their day to be turned upside down. There were others who were frozen stiff, not knowing what they could do. There was one however, who was angry.
"WHO IN THE HELL WOULD DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS?" The man screamed out, his afro billowing in the encroaching winds.
'I'm lucky I left Videl with Miss Mary.' The man thought, thankful that she was safe for the time being. Mark was only meaning to do a little food shopping here. East City was widely known as one of the cultural hubs of the entire planet, and the former wrestler came here monthly to find deals on some of his favorite fruits. Mark stood front and center, only 50 feet from the impact when the doors to the space pods opened. Taking a step back and assuming a fighting stance, Mark was ready. He had taken to heart the advice that the visitor had left him. He watched the old films from the World Martial Arts Tournament, beginning to see what the man was talking about. Ki was dangerous, but Mark did not wilt in trying to learn how to use his energy. After he quit his job as a bouncer, he moved himself and his daughter to another part of Orange City, into their own home. He had also contacted a money man, someone he trusted to watch after his remaining money and make proper investments in the stock market. Within 6 months of doing that, Mark had nearly doubled his monetary value. So in doing that, he took personal time to himself. Trying to harness his own energy. Only after he learnt how to do it himself would he teach his daughter the necessary skills she would need, for her own safety.
The first one stood, incredibly tall and muscular, standing well over Mark. He had to be over 7 feet tall. He was also bald, with a thin mustache, wearing some kind of battle armor, wearing some kind of brown...furry belt around his waist.
"No! It can't be!" A woman shouted in terror.
"What do they want?" A man said.
The second came out as well. This one was different then the first. He only stood around 5'5" tall, with pointy, spiky black hair set in some kind of flame like way. He also sported battle armor but of a different color scheme, this one a white and gold set with shoulder protectors as oppose to the giant's black and gold. He also had some kind of blue colored one piece undersuit.
Many people were in pure panic. Some unable to process what was happening, others in complete awe and fascination, but that all changed to gasping terror when they saw the aliens float out of the crater. Mark himself was not as shocked as he thought he would be, but he was thankful that Videl was still in Orange City, many many miles away from this potential carnage. People were already dead, and these two...whatever they were didn't look even the slightest bit bothered as they landed softy on the street.
"Good thing we stopped at Arlia...my neck is killing me."
"Hmph."
"You have a lot to pay for here today assholes!" Mark yelled out across to the pair.
"Hmm? Hey Vegeta can I kill him?" Vegeta took a look at the simple human being who dared raise his voice at him. His scouter read 104. Hardly worth his time.
"Whatever. I'm more interested in the location of the Dragon Balls, and this Shepard that dared to speak in such outrageous disrespect to me."
"Darn Vegeta. You must really want him. No wonder you were so merciless on Arlia. We were heroes hahahahaha."
Vegeta did not reply, simply looking out at the terrified inhabitants of this backwater planet.
'These inferior weaklings should just give me their planet. This primitive garbage is hardly worth my time. But... however those Dragon Balls came to be on this planet, I am already on a time crunch against Frieza.'
"I WON'T BE IGNORED! FEEL MY FURY!" Mark rushed in without thought, aiming for the biggest one, who only looked over at him with a thin, sinister smile. In those moments, Mark Satan realized he made a terrible mistake. Throwing a kick and aiming for the giant's face, he was plucked out of the air effortlessly, now stuck hanging upside down, the grip on his leg like a steel clamp. He tried bringing his other leg up to release himself, but the alien just laughed at him.
"Hey look at this Vegeta! He's so pathetic! Come on squirt did ya think ya had a shot against me?"
Their scouters both beeped instantly, but only Vegeta registered the number he was seeing. His eyes widened instantly, looking around before he caught a glimpse of an afterimage.
"Nappa!"...
The space pods beat them to East City, but only by seconds. They couldn't get there in time to save the fortunate few that were caught by the spherical machines.
"Dammit!"
"Shit. Look here's the plan Yamcha. Nappa is kind of predictable, but we need to stop him from using his technique to blow this city up."
"The whole city??" Yamcha turned to Shepard, face in dismay.
"Yeah. That's why I needed to get here as early as possible."
"I see. We can't let them get away with this." Yamcha could feel these saiyans energy up close. Unlike Raditz, who had greatly mellowed out through their time in training, these savages reeked of malicious intent, down to their very cells. "These guys are terrifying up close." Yamcha couldn't bite back his inner fears. Remembering his first fight with Raditz and being greatly outclassed, those thoughts were creeping into his mind now that he was in the thick of it.
"Hey." A smack on his shoulder jarred the Bandit out of his thoughts. "You did the same training as us. You can definitely hold your own here. Don't let what happened before get to you. This is a totally different ballgame. We got the advantage here. And we're gonna fucking use it."
They had dropped their powers to standard human level upon arriving on top of one of the many high rise dome buildings where they had a clear view of the ships and both Saiyans.
"Vegeta is definitely concerning. His power level has to be over 20,000. He may be able to take Dodoria. He must have been training dude."
"Yeah no shit Marc. Thankfully Nappa doesn't feel that much different. Yamcha should be able to handle him considering he's probably as strong as Goku was in the show when he came back."
"True. They should be coming soon. I noticed you have a plan Shep. Don't tell me you're gonna do it."
"I planned to the moment I put this jacket on and popped this music in. Speaking of which, Yamcha needs to clean his ear. Eww."
"Back to the moment Shepard."
Marc mentally bonked him upside the head, knocking Shepard out of the mental link. He took the ear buds off, putting them away under his sash. It was time to get to work!
"Alright here's the deal Yamcha. Nappa, that big son of a bitch down there is the henchmen. I need him neutralized. He has a technique where he can channel a massive amount of Ki under somebody and make that area explode. If he does that here..."
"I get the picture."
"What the fuck?"
Shepard squinted, looking down, he could vaguely see one of the many crowded humans up front, and what looked to be an afro.
"No way!"
"Is it just me or does he actually feel like he has a little strength?"
"No he's weak as fuck, but..."
"That guy's gonna get himself killed." Yamcha said, readying to jump down.
At that moment, they watched as the man charged one of the aliens, but was effortlessly grabbed out of the air.
"Time to go. Don't use your full power yet Yamcha."
"Got it."
The Bandit afterimaged his way down, Shepard followed discreetly, trusting Yamcha to do his part...
Before Nappa could go for the killing blow, his arm was grabbed, squeezed almost hard enough to hurt, forcing him to release poor Mark, who's ankle was surely broken. He fell to the ground, holding his ankle and shouting in pain.
"Let's take this fight somewhere else big guy." Yamcha said. Vegeta still had his arms crossed, looking at the human with slight interest.
"His power level reads 6,000 Nappa. Which means you've actually trained for our arrival. Tell me human, would you happen to know where...Shepard is?"
Yamcha released Nappa, pushing him back a couple of feet before grabbing up Mark and phasing back a few dozen feet.
"Maybe. Doesn't mean I'm gonna tell ya". Yamcha smirked before taking a look at the hissing human that he was holding. "How ya doing there bud?"
"M-MY ANKLE! Sssson of a bitch broke my ankle."
"You will tell us, or this city will feel my wrath. So... WHERE IS SHEPARD?" The Prince screamed out that last part, clearly getting impatient.
"I wouldn't make the Prince mad if I were you human, so ya best just come out with what he wants."
Zzzt
Vegeta heard another afterimage, looking on as someone phased in next to Yamcha, with his back turned. What the Prince saw made him began to seethe in unfiltered hatred. The man had on some kind of long white jacket. Walking a couple steps forward, Vegeta could now clearly see what was on the back of it.
"Hey uh Vegeta? Aren't you scared of worms?"
"QUIET NAPPA!"
"I see you starched up those gloves of yours. Did you put your comb back for your hair before you got out of that pod or what?"
"You!" Vegeta was shaking in anger, completely forgetting everyone else that now surrounded them, the many still terrified humans that watched that man be plucked out of the air like nothing and nearly killed, unsure of their current fates. He recognized the voice as the same one who dared to talk back to him a year previous. Scanning his power level, Vegeta became perplexed.
'Only 4,000? That can't be! They are definitely tricking our scouters.'
"Yup. Me. Me me me. Good morning assholes!" Turning around, Vegeta now got his first look at the saiyan who had made him so angry that he and Nappa had abandoned their current assignment and came straight for Earth. He could start to understand Raditz's late sitrep now. The hammer the saiyan wielded looked heavy, was incredibly shiny and the saiyan who held it also looked familiar. As much as he hated to admit it, the man did remind him of the saiyan who had visited him in his youth.
"It's a good thing you let him go Curly, or you would've lost that hand." Shepard looked over to Nappa, who had a strange look on his face.
"I can see the whole Mr. Clean thing you were talking about hm hm hm hm hm."
"Dude I told you."
"What the fuck's a Mr Clean?" Nappa gritted out.
"Ya know... Cue Ball? I could take a towel and shine your head and nearly blind myself if I look at it at the right angle? You probably wouldn't be so upset about it if you lost it naturally buuuuuut...we all know I took that shit long ago." Shepard had the audacity to now smirk at the bald saiyan, who's mind was slowing coming to the realization that his hair had indeed been taken from him.
"It...it...it was YOU?" Nappa took a couple steps forward, cracking the ground as he did. "You...all these years...I'm gonna take your head...and...and...STOMP IT TO PASTE!"
"Hold it Nappa!"
"But Vegeta he-!"
"You dare question my orders?"
Shepard was somewhat amused at the iconic dialogue between the Prince and his...servant.
"You know. Guys, we gotta take this fight out of this city. No need letting people who can't defend themselves be caught in the crossfire." Yamcha said, deciding to interject.
"Quiet scum. We make the rules around here."
"Not today Geets!"
"What was that?"
"You fucking heard me little man." Shepard was in his zone now, not fearing Vegeta or Nappa even a little bit. He had small reservations about Raditz last year, not being sure if he could take him. He knew he could take Nappa, and Vegeta was tough, but without his Oozaru, he wasn't as formidable. His tail loosened up from the wrap, swishing in the air in anticipation. Shepard walked up to the saiyans, getting to within 5 feet of both. Nappa looked like he was ready to charge, but a look from Vegeta held him off.
"Little man?" Cocking his head to the side, Vegeta smirked, taking a couple steps and looking up at the saiyan who dared to disrespect him. The saiyan in question was over 6ft tall but most likely shorter then Raditz from what the Prince could tell.
Yamcha and Nappa could both feel the tension roaring through both warriors.
"Is there a doctor anywhere around here?" Yamcha called out. A couple seconds later a middle aged man with what had to be his wife stepped forward.
"We're both doctors!"
"We can get him out of here."
Shepard glared at the smaller saiyan who stood before him, daring him to try anything. Their stare down did not go unnoticed by the masses. In reality, Shepard was being a shield, making sure Nappa didn't move either. They were not going to get their way here!
A nearby ambulance truck was stationary, but a stretcher had been pulled out and carted over to where Yamcha and Mark were.
"T-thank you for this.. dammit..I-I was so stupid in challenging them. I get to see my daughter again thanks to you. I-I won't forget this." Mark said, watching as his ankle was swelling.
"Don't sweat it man. Ya know, I can tell you're a lot stronger then the rest of these people around here. Some formal training and you might be able to take on guys like this someday." Yamcha said, setting Mark down on the stretcher.
"Y-you mean it ahhhh ssssss?" Mark asked before the paramedic and the couple began tending to his ankle.
"Sure do. See you around." Yamcha turned back, surprised that Shepard and the one called Vegeta were nearly face to face now.
"I can't help but notice you don't speak of my mother now that I'm here. Afraid? You should be!" Vegeta was looking for a certain reaction out of Shepard, but was stymied.
"Your Dad was much taller then you. So was your mother a midget?" The question made Vegeta's fists clench, nearly ripping through his gloves.
"I see. You're so scared you can't help but joke about the stupidest things. Nappa does not have to worry about getting to you. I said last year that I'd rip you apart for being so disrespectful towards my family, and now? You still can't shut the fuck up. Pick. Your. Grave, low class trash."
"Sure. As soon as we pick a place to plant you into the ground and make us some vegetables." Yamcha could swear he saw an electrical spark flash between the two. An aura was building around the Prince and the Rogue, clearly both ready to tear into each other.
"Shep? The others feel like they left Capsule Corp." Yamcha may have been physically looking at the saiyans, but in his mind he could feel the other Z Fighters heading into the mountains, away from civilization.
"Shut your mouth human, or I'll pull out your tongue." Nappa said, trying to find some semblance of control in this heated situation. He himself was still livid and wanted a piece of Shepard to himself.
"Doubt your hands are even small enough to fit big man!" Yamcha floated into the air, readying to take off. The gasps of shock didn't escape him.
"Don't speak to my friend like that Ogre."
"O-Ogre? WHY YOU LITTLE-"
"Cool it Nappa. He's just trying to get under your skin. Alright, Shepard. Take us to your gravesite on this backwater mud ball." Vegeta stepped back a couple steps, back to his colleague.
A half smile formed on Shepard's face, before he too floated in the air.
"Let's go dipshit!" They watched as Shepard flew up, before they both began to follow, with Yamcha on their heels, leaving the dismayed and stunned crowd to their devices...
"I think they're heading this way." Piccolo said, eyes closed in deep concentration. The others besides Gohan were also concentrating, even Chi Chi could feel the tremendous power coming from that general area. But it was what she didn't sense that got her attention.
"Where's Goku?"
"Yeah! That's definitely only Shepard and Yamcha. Surely Goku has to be around somewhere?" Krillin was just as confused. The power of those saiyans was frightening! But there was a silver lining in all of this.
"Shepard is holding back a lot of energy. It's likely that Goku and maybe Raditz are at least that strong."
"Raditz." Just hearing the name made the mother's anger rise.
"It doesn't feel like anyone was hurt." Chiaotzu brought up a good point.
"Likely Shepard and Yamcha prevented it. We'll take what we can get." Piccolo ended the conversation, leaving the others to their preparation. He walked over next to Gohan.
"How ya feelin kid?" Gohan was fidgeting, unable to stay calm.
"I-I'm nervous Mister Piccolo. They feel so strong! I hope my Daddy gets here in time."
"If he doesn't, can you fight?" Piccolo was in a no nonsense mood right now.
"I-I'll do my b-best!"
"You'll do better then your best!"
"Calm down Piccolo! He's still just a child." Chi Chi said, wrapping her arms around her little boy.
"We will fight, and if Gohan needs to get involved, we will be there for him. Clear?"
"Hmph, so long as he reacts instead of runs away. We're gonna need every advantage we can get."
"When the saiyans get here, who should take on the weaker one first?" Tien asked.
"We do this together guys!" Krillin interrupted.
"We don't have time to figure it out!" Piccolo said, pointing in a general direction. "Because they're here..."
Shepard had been flying as fast as he could without the Kaioken for awhile now. He could sense the others up further ahead, and the saiyans behind him. Yamcha was tailing them to make sure they didn't try anything.
"Vegeta is piiiiiiiised. Way to go Shep!"
"Sue me shit for brains. That was the idea! Besides. From what I'm feeling from the others, we can do this!"
"Maybe so... something feels...off. Direct your senses out to the far west."
Shepard did as Marc suggested, and it nearly made him stop. Cold.
"Why does it feel like there's another me?"
"That's what I mean dude! I've been noticing it since we left the Lookout."
"And you didn't think to mention this...why?"
"Because we gotta focus on the here and now Shep. Whatever that is can be looked into after this."
"It feels stationary... but whoever it is, they're not weak. That's for sure!"
"Focus Shep!"
"Right. Check in later."
Vegeta had been flying just ahead of Nappa, eyes focusing completely on the saiyan in front of him. The saiyan should've been terrified of him, but it was more off putting that he would dare challenge him!
'I haven't even been on this planet for a half an hour and I am already bored. This 'Shepard' can't be the one we dealt with as brats! He speaks in riddles I can't understand, and then the nerve of that human!'
"Hey Vegeta?"
"What Nappa?"
"Is it weird that Shepard is not even a saiyan name? I can't think of anyone named Shepard who may have been sent out on a D Class Mission." That also made Vegeta confused.
"It is, but it's irrelevant. Once I've dealt with him, we will find those Dragon Balls, then that hybrid child, and then that whore who has Raditz's old scouter. These...humans don't deserve the right to use such technology."
"Why do you guys do this crap?" Yamcha flew up next to Nappa, who turned and looked at him with malice.
"Because we can! And we will! When you work for someone as demanding as Frieza, this is our life. Now beat it, before I blast you right out of the sky."
"We'll see shortly, Mr. Clean".
Before Nappa could turn and begin to chase the human, Vegeta grunted, clearly not interested in the banter but wanting Nappa to end it. Yamcha slowed down just a bit, maintaining his distance again.
"Get on the scouters Nappa. Tell me what you see."
Nappa pressed a couple buttons, scanning ahead before his eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets. "It...it...this thing must be junk!"
"What does it say?"
"8 different power levels. That Shepard guy is 4,000, the human behind us is at 6,000. There's one at 2,100, 1 at 3,000, 2 at 3,500, 1 at 4,500, 1 at 5,000."
"It appears that our scouters are useless Nappa. They're likely hiding their true power. The saibamen are practically useless... Well...maybe not all of them." The thought made Vegeta smirk sadistically...
"There they are!" Gohan pointed out, seeing 4 dots in the sky.
"That's definitely them."
The 6 warriors watched as their 2 friends/teammates flew down feet first, landing next to them.
"You look different." Piccolo pointed out.
"I can't believe it Yamcha, Shepard. You both feel incredibly powerful now. What kind of training did you guys do?" Tien asked, clearly shell shocked at feeling their power up close.
"King Kai's a real jackass sometimes, but his methods get results."
"King Kai?" Piccolo sounded confused, but if he was who he thought they were talking about...
"A Kai trained you?"
"Yup! Man it was crazy. But I feel so powerful right now. I know I can take on the big one." Yamcha said, causing shocks to go through the other warriors besides Shepard.
"Is that so?"
"Believe it Piccolo. We got this." Shepard said, winking.
"Big talk for people so weak!" Nappa shouted from above.
"Damn!"
"Ahhh!"
They both landed softly on the ground, eyeing their prey.
"Well will you look at that." Shepard cracked his neck once, staring hard at Vegeta, who returned his gaze just as intensely.
"Big Ugly is Nappa, Wormy is Vegeta." Was all Shepard said.
"Wormy? You have already insulted my family ingrate. You dare to tarnish MY PRIDE?"
"I do what I need to do to get results dude. Let me let you in on a little nugget of info. You're outclassed. And Kakarot and Raditz are both on their way. Even if you managed to kill one of us, they're just as strong as I am."
Vegeta was on the verge of drooling in feral anger. Nappa was ignorant of the implications on the other hand.
"Hahahahahahahahaha! All your power levels are below 5,000. Except that human over there. He's the only problem we're really gonna have."
"You dolt! Did you not hear me tell you they're tricking the scouters?"
"Your Prince is right asshole. Say what do they go up to anyway? Ya know? Their max output?" Shepard asked.
"50,000 punk! And you've already pissed me off taking my hair! Vegeta may want you all to himself, but that just means I get to have all of you! Including that whore over there!"
"UGH!" Chi Chi was highly upset. The others looked at her in horror. The only one who didn't understand was the little 5 year old boy.
"W-what's a-"
"When you're older kid." Shepard cut Gohan short. Turning to look at the others, he smirked. "Let's go ahead and uncork all that power you have guys! Show them who the hell you are. That you trained for these bottom feeders!"
He turned around, looking at the two deadly adversaries. "Ya see? You fucked up BIG coming here." Shepard felt the rush of power behind him.
"That's what I'm talking about!"
"Fuck yeah dude!"
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
6 roars of power erupted behind Yamcha and Shepard as The Rogue raised his hands, taking it all in. He watched the saiyans faces begin to show signs of shock and terror.
"NOW YOU KNOW YOU'RE FUCKED!" Shepard yelled over everyone as their power climbed.
"7,750!"
"6,176!"
"3,865!"
"5,168!"
"4,866!"
A staccato of yells laced the skies, the rocks were flying everywhere. The Earth felt like it was shaking. But the one who caught everyone's attention the most was Gohan, who had begun to understand that whatever the big one had called his mother was something that should never be said to girls. And he let his anger go.
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!"
"Aggghhhh! What is this? There's no way that damn kid can be that strong!" Vegeta was just as perplexed. 'T..this ch..this child is a prodigy!" The Prince stood in awe. Shepard looked back in shock. The rest of the group all looked at Gohan as he stopped.
"10,300. H-how? How old is he?"
"Incredible." Piccolo silently said to himself.
Shepard looked back around, smiling with a sinister look.
"Yamcha, let it rip." The Desert Bandit nodded before bending down.
"Haaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
"7,000, no wait, it's over 8,500, no. What the hell? It..it can't be!"
"Vegeta what's the matter with you? What's the scouter say about his power level?" Nappa asked, having turned his off at the sheer impossibilities of what was happening. Vegeta pulled it off but did not break it, seething in rage.
"IT'S OVER 10,000!"
"WHAT? IT...NOOOO THATS IMPOSSIBLE! HE'S ONLY A HUMAN!"
"Oh, it gets better." Vegeta slowly put his scouter back on at hearing that.
Setting the BanHammer down, he took off his jacket, revealing his new fighting uniform. Placing the jacket next to the BanHammer, he took a deep breath. If he did this right, he could escape any kind of injuries to his body. Shepard could not afford that now. He closed his eyes, letting his power build up.
"His power just doubled to 8,000." Vegeta said. The rocks were building up around Shepard, the wind was picking up massively around him. Pushing the others back several dozen feet.
"Is he?"
"Crap! It's still going up!"
"10,000, 12, No. 14,000." Vegeta was becoming kind of excited at the thrill of potentially fighting this saiyan now.
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Shepard roared to the heavens. His aura a milky white and furious. As sudden as the rocks were floating around him, they began to drop heavily all around.
"15,000." Vegeta said. Nappa could only shake his head, mouth wide. Shepard looked up to the sky, taking a deep breath. Looking back down at the pair of now shocked saiyans. He began to scream again. His aura beginning to turn a reddish color.
"KAIOKEN TIMES 4!" His power skyrocketed, running the scouters up on both Vegeta and Nappa before they both exploded off of their faces. Both stepped back in shock.
"N..no!"
"Wow!"
"Holy crap!"
"Unbelievable!"
"Insane!"
The red aura surrounding Shepard was intense, but calm. It was a mixture of intensity and serenity. He gritted his teeth, both in slight pain and fury. Looking at Vegeta, who was enraged, clearly not expecting his scouter to be destroyed.
"THIS IS WHAT YOU GET FOR COMING TO EARTH!"...
I know, I know, I did say it was the last filler chapter in the previous chapter, but Vegeta and Nappa are here now. Next chapter is going to be very action packed! The next few actually. The BanHammer will finally get some play in the coming chapters ;-)! Now, Power Levels. I want to be clear in my opinion, strictly my opinion, that the humans and Z Fighters training on Earth did not get the full experience of full time Gravity training. They mastered Times 5 Gravity, however the jump straight from 5-10 Times would be huge, especially with the environment of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, so they didn't get the full effect of that training, but they did improve. So here ya go:
Power Levels
Piccolo:7,750
Tien: 6,176
Chiaotzu: 3,865
Krillin: 5,168
Chi Chi: 4,866
Gohan: 7,000
Rage Boost: 10,300 (Not Gohan's Max!)
Yamcha: 10,000
Shepard: 15,000
Kaioken Times 4 Burst: 60,000
Nappa: 6,000 Plus (Still not exact yet!)
Vegeta: 22,000
