meeting 1

Perseus Kiritsugu Emiya Jackson commonly known as Percy Six-year-old was in trouble, in his justification this time it wasn't his fault, too bad hardly anyone would have believed him.

His mothers and sisters shook their heads good-naturedly and jokingly said that he had taken too much from his father, the only one who would have been on his side would have been his father. But even Percy who was just six knew that having his dad on his side would do more harm than good considering much to his moms anger dads get into more trouble than him.

With a deep breath Percy tries to calm down just like he was taught and try to understand how this time everything had gone to hell.

The day had started normally after a hearty breakfast, he had said goodbye to everyone and his Mum had accompanied him to school before going to work. Percy had been excited today was going to be his first school trip and since his sisters had talked about theirs he couldn't wait to go.

Sure his sisters had all gone to super cool places while he was only going to the botanical garden, but Percy was excited all the same even though the place they were going to be mundane to make it all better was also the fact the teacher had said that in the end of the day their parents would join them for the end-of-year picnic.

Percy had been bouncing all the way to school and the botanic garden too excited to stand still. It didn't help that his companions had brought quite a lot of candy which Percy had happily eaten, disobeying the rule that forbade him to consume too much sugar.

Until mid-morning the day had been perfect Percy couldn't have had more fun even if he wanted to. Then the old ladies with the knitting needles appeared and everything got confused, the teacher and her classmates all got weird with glassy eyes and left him alone.

Confused and angry he had turned his attention to the three ladies who stood to one side all gloating at what they had done, yet as he looked closer at them Percy couldn't notice that even the ladies looked slightly confused when they stared at him it was as if they couldn't see very well and they had to squint and strain to focus on it.

Agitated Percy immediately checks that his bracelet is attached just like dad had told him to do in cases like this, only after confirming that the bracelet is still in place and firmly I bring his attention back to the three ladies only to not find them most were missing.

So he had started wandering around the garden in the hope of finding his class, in his search he had heard a strange noise driven by curiosity he had gone to investigate and this is how he ended up in this situation.

Three children were fighting monsters, two girls and a boy. One of the girls was about her age: curly-blonde with piercing gray eyes like storm clouds, everything about her appearance made her look like a princess.

The other girl was much older in her early teens with spiky black hair and electric blue eyes. She was beautiful too but where her friend was the classic girl next door hers was one more in line with the punk rebel image.

The boy was the eldest of the three with sandy blond hair, he was very good looking and fit as an athlete, his appearance made him almost look like a movie elf.

The situation was rather strange for Percy who, no matter how hard he tried, couldn't even identify the shadow of an adult. Where were the parents of the three?

Percy and his sisters had fought monsters and the like many times but always under the supervision of their dads and moms, and they had been adamant they should never go into fights alone until they were older.

The boy and girl with black hair may have been old enough but the little girl who looked like a princess certainly wasn't. And that wasn't the only problem as a member of the Emiya clan Percy had spent more time in the forge than anywhere else and had developed an eye for evaluating weapons and could tell for sure what the three were using were junk.

Mama Saber wouldn't let him leave the house with such poor equipment, apart from the eldest girl's shield everything else didn't even reach D-rank, Percy himself could forge more decent weapons and was the least talented in the field his family.

Even the movements of the three were rather sloppy, certainly aggravated by fatigue and tiredness but in any case so full of openings that they couldn't be justified. Mamma Saber would have been shocked by a show of incompetence of the kind worthy only of the worst squires.

The princess especially while she seemed to have a very good fighting sense and strategic mind from the way she positioned herself was using a small dagger to face monsters that surpassed her with their enormous size .

That little blade couldn't do much against the massive bodies of the creatures that the little girl faced, even striking in vital points, the princess didn't always have the strength to allow the dagger to finish the job and turn everything into dust.

The more he looked, the more Percy noticed that the three were losing ground as they retreated more and more, pushed back by the advance of the monsters. Percy instinctively knew what to do even if it would get him into even more trouble, but as Dad always said, there's nothing wrong with helping people.

"Hey" Percy yelled attracting the attention of the combatants whether they were human or monsters, calm reigned for a moment on the battlefield as everyone was aware of his presence then as Percy expected the monsters acted first with a roar one of them he rushed at him.

"BEWARE," the dark-haired girl yelled as she tried to come to his rescue only to be pushed back by her opponent, Percy ignoring the pretty girl's warning as he concentrated on the monster coming at him.

About eight feet tall, with tattooed arms and crooked yellow teeth, Percy could even smell rancid meat coming off him now as he came towards him with an overpowering stench.

To his utter shame Percy couldn't recognize what kind of monster she was, Mama Rin would have her head if she was ever to find out, of all his mamas she was the one who took schooling the most seriously and would be shocked at her ignorance.

But just because he didn't know his name didn't mean he was defenseless against her attacks. As she ran at full speed towards him with arms wide open the monster's guard was so full of holes that it looked like a sieve, not even the speed with which she was reaching him was anything special by dropping the level of danger the monster represented even more lower than when it was in the beginning.

With his bracelet on Percy couldn't draw on his full power but it didn't matter the enemies were so negligible that even his little sister who was just three years old could easily slaughter them.

Without even drawing on the weapons he was wearing Percy stepped forward instead of waiting for the enemy to reach him he went towards him, their difference in stature allowing Percy to slide easily under the arms of the creature, once inside the guard of these I launch his attack.

Percy's punch seemed tiny almost a mosquito bite compared to the size of his opponent, in the eyes of all his was a useless attack that would have had no effect on a futile rebellion before his certain death.

Percy only smiled well aware of what would actually happen, the moment his hand came into contact with the monster's flesh it disintegrated.

The monster doubled over in pain before being tossed like a leaf on the distant wind in a spiral of destruction and gold dust.

Once again all fighting ceased as a bullet of flesh and golden sand raced across the battlefield. Incredulous each person looked at Percy and his little fist in admiration and terror unable to believe their eyes.

Percy was amused by the incredulity of his spectators not understanding what they found so extraordinary in such a basic action that anyone in his family could perform similar actions with even less effort and effort.

Taking advantage of her enemy's carelessness, the princess wasted no time in killing him despite having a bad weapon, proving to be the smartest of the three.

Seeing even the smallest of them take advantage of the situation, the other two wasted no time in following her example and getting rid of their opponents who were still too intimidated by the actions they had just witnessed.

When finally all the dust fell to the ground, only Percy and the three boys were left standing.

"Who are you?" the only man of the trio asked protectively as he stepped in front of his companions with his sword pointing at Percy, his protective attitude seeming to frustrate the punk of the group.

Percy could more or less understand why as the black-haired girl was the strongest and most competent of the three.

"Percy and you?" with his hands raised in surrender Percy did everything to look as innocent and harmless as possible not wanting to frighten the three

"Well Percy tell us what you did?" asked the dark-haired girl as she jostled her mate and back to the front line, her spear gleaming menacingly as if in warning.

All of which would have made her look intimidating to most eyes but after facing a smiling Mommy Rin or a hungry Mommy Saber the woman looked like a shaggy kitten almost cute.

Her fearlessness must have shown because the frown on the woman's face deepens as if she's annoyed that Percy isn't intimidated by her.

"Don't laugh brat tell me right away how you did all this" growled the punk her eyes almost seemed to light up with electricity

"What would I have done?" Percy asked innocently

"How did you kill that Laistrygonian ?" the princess intervened, seeing that her company was running out of patience

" Laistry - what? What language is English? You meant the monster just hit it." Percy mimics a punch to emphasize what he's done. At Percy's movement all three instinctively stepped back still intimidated by his previous punch.

The punk was the first to recover once again her spear came forward menacingly ready to strike

"Don't joke boy" I growl ready to strike

"I'm not kidding" Percy grumbled sulkily not understanding the reason for all this agitation he had just killed a monster anyone who could do it

"Then answer"

"I just hit it, I'm completely serious"

"You have to be extremely strong to be able to kill a giant with one blow" I observe the princess there was an analytical glint in her eyes that sent a shiver down Percy's spine it reminded him far too much of some of his mums when they were in the mood of experiments.

"I'm not particularly strong physically most of my sisters are much stronger" Percy admitted his strength was barely D-grade and he was the weakest physically of anyone his age at home he could only outdo his younger sisters and even then it was a close confrontation in some cases.

Her revelation seemed to surprise and scare the three for some reason even though Percy didn't understand why. Yes, he was strong compared to a normal person but compared to those who lived in the moonlit world like the three, he could not be considered anything special.

Sure the three were weak but it was probably due to their lack of training, Percy was also weak before he started training with his family.

"What are you?" asked the princess by now curiosity had taken over her

"I'm Percy, I said it several times," Percy answered more and more confused

"I didn't ask you who you are, but what are you" despite being similar in age the little girl addressed him as if he was much younger than her or just stupid and it was something that Percy didn't like very much

"A child"

"You're doing it on purpose aren't you," growled the princess

"I'm doing what?"

For some reason after his umpteenth question the princess's face turned red like a teapot ready to explode

"You can't be that stupid even someone with algae in their brains would know what I'm talking about"

"Hey if I'm a seaweed head you're an owl head" Percy retorts shouting the first insult that comes to mind

"Enough you two can leave the lovers' quarrels for later" interrupted the older girl she didn't seem annoyed anymore indeed for some strange reason she seemed amused.

" Thalia ," the princess cried indignantly, her face even redder at Percy's growing confusion

"That's enough Annabeth it's no use continuing this charade we're not going to achieve anything it's clear enough" said the punk now identified as Thalia

"You said your name was Percy right?" seeing Percy nod the girl I continued

"I'm Thalia , the boy behind me is Luke and the little princess you've been arguing with is Annabeth " with the introductions now done Percy finally knew the names of the people he was talking to, the boy found it amusing that Thalia used her same nickname for Annabeth .

It seemed that in both his and Thalia 's minds the little girl had all the qualities to be called a princess, showing how deep down he and Thalia resembled each other in having similar thoughts.

"Try calling me princess and I'll cut you alive" as if she could see the future and knew what Percy was about to do Annabeth stepped forward her eyes gleaming even more dangerously than the knife in her hand.

Taking a step back Percy found himself nodding furiously, it didn't matter that he knew he was the strongest of the three. The gleam in the little girl's eyes reminded him too much of her mothers in their moments of anger and it never ended well for Dad when he was the object of that gleam , Percy didn't want to end up in the same condition as him.

"Well I see you understand Seaweed Brain " once again Annabeth had called him seaweed brain, Percy didn't understand in the least where the girl had come up with this nickname but wisely decided to remain silent the girl's eyes were still shining and Percy didn't want to risk the their wrath.

"The way you're training him well he'll be a great husband for you one day Annabeth " Thalia joked

" Thalia " once again Annabeth 's cry of indignation rent the air as she looked red with embarrassment at her friend.

Such a scene must have been common within the group because the only boy of the three Luke was not particularly impressed preferring to keep an eye on Percy.

It was a cautious attitude that Percy could respect, one of the first lessons he had been taught was to be wary of strangers no matter how cordially they introduced themselves.

And it was a lesson that Percy was practicing even now just like the boy before him, the only difference was that Luke despite his majority was less able to hide his emotions probably due to his poor and bad training.

Percy, unlike him, on the other hand, had been taught to keep a poker face in every situation and, if necessary, to feign tranquility and light-heartedness, even a smile if the occasion requires it. Mama Rin claimed that this was one of the basic skills that every young magus had to have before being presented to the public, almost like an unwritten rule.

Mama Saber also supported this theory, believing that it was a skill that every individual who had to do with the nobility or politics had to learn.

That's why Percy and his sisters had had to learn the craft of acting before anything else much to their annoyance. Actually, there was also an exception to this rule and that was to achieve a level of power and strength where one didn't have to worry about offending or soothing anyone.

Percy was far from reaching that level his own parents hadn't reached it let alone Luke. Percy knew only one person who had reached that level and he was the teacher of mother Rin and Luvia.

"Anyway, we have to thank you for your help, it wasn't necessary but it was welcome," Thalia said after finally managing to calm her friend down.

Percy didn't completely agree with the girl, without her intervention the battle would have only prolonged, of course the three would probably have managed to defeat their opponents in the end, but the cost would not have been small.

Perhaps Percy's intervention wasn't strictly necessary to save his life but it was certainly necessary to avoid injury and pain to the three. But Percy didn't blame the girl for failing to recognize her real contribution.

From what little he could tell Thalia was a proud person who would neither apologize nor say thank you easily. The mere fact that she acknowledged her intervention showed how much she appreciated it, everything else that followed her thanks was her way of keeping up her tough facade.

It was a behavior Percy had witnessed many times at home, his father called this attitude Tsudere .

"Thanks again for the help but we'll have to go now. You should do the same too" Once her gratitude was shown once again Thalia wasted no more time and began to regroup.

The fatigue was still visible on the faces of the three; yet, instead of resting to regain their strength, they struggled to keep going by preparing for games to unknown destinations.

Percy did not understand the reason for such a hasty decision, with the danger past it was certainly important to regroup, but considering the state of fatigue in which they found themselves it would not have been wiser to rest before leaving

"Why?" her confusion was such that Percy could not help himself

"This place is no longer safe, soon the monsters will find us and better leave and find another place to rest" Annabeth explains as she put her few possessions in a torn backpack

"You could wait here with me. Soon my parents should arrive with them here monsters wouldn't be a problem" Percy proposed well aware that with his family as a shield nothing could threaten the three.

As if struck by lightning the three stopped and once again began to stare at him as if he had said something strange. Percy felt decidedly agitated under the glare of the looks of the three not so much for Luke's, but Thalia 's and Annabeth 's sent shivers down his spine.

"Parents do you mean your mother and father?" Luke asked hesitantly as if afraid of the answer Percy might give

"Yes" it was actually father and mothers but Percy knew better than to say that for some reason whenever someone found out they had multiple moms he acted weird

"And are they as strong as you? Both?"

"I have already said that I am one of the weakest in my family; therefore, they are much stronger," Percy said proudly as he brags about his family.

His admission, however, had the opposite effect to that hoped instead of reassuring the three seemed to agitate them even more

"I don't like this situation Thalia " Luke said as he began to look around as if he expected someone to arrive at any moment

"It could be a trap."

"Hey," Percy shouted indignantly at the accusation leveled against him

"Her parents could be monsters or some sort of god we can't risk," Luke continued completely ignoring the background protests.

Thalia 's expression became serious as she reflected on what to do, on one side there was the companion of numerous adventures on the other a good-willed stranger, the girl didn't take long to choose.

"I'm sorry Percy but as Luke says we can't risk it"

"But my family would never threaten you," Percy protests

"Maybe so but we have many enemies and I don't want you and your family to have to suffer for it" Thalia explains calmly not wanting to offend wholly their savior

The girl's last words managed to calm Percy, he knew that whatever was pursuing the three was unlikely to be a threat to his family and that it was a convenient excuse for Thalia to refuse his invitation but he could not fault the girl to put the well-being of her friends before everything.

It would have been a hypocritical attitude as Percy himself would have put the safety of his family before that of a stranger.

"Fine but let me at least help you" m'even if his family came first that didn't stop Percy from trying to help others.

"As?" Luke asked

"You look hungry I don't have much but it's better than nothing" Percy said showing the backpack full of snacks and sweets he had taken from his classmates.

It was really a pity for the three that he had already finished the bento that mom Sakura had prepared for him this morning, just one taste of his mom's celestial cuisine and the three would no longer want to leave and would have waited for his parents to arrive even if only to taste some more of those delicious dishes, this was as Mama Saber always said the greatest weapon of the Emiya clan .

The three were really hungry because their stomachs began to growl at the sight of the contents of his backpack

"It could be poisoned" Annabeth despite being the youngest I try to be the voice of reason and to warn her friends of possible dangers

"But it's not," Percy protested

"Swear it. Swear it on the river Stinge"

"What would it be for?" Percy asked confused having never heard of such an oath before

"Just do it," Annabeth growled , her eyes still on her backpack

"Well. I swear by the river stinks that the food I'm giving you is not poisoned in any way" as Percy made his vow the thunderclap of lightning ripped through the distant sky as if to seal his words.

Strangely after the lightning Percy strangely felt a very small portion of his energy go away, it was a sensation similar to what one should feel when taking a Geas, but having never taken one before Percy could not be sure that it was just that .

Deciding to leave this oddity aside for the moment and have it analyzed later by one of his mothers, Percy concentrated once again on the three who, now sure that the food they were offering them hadn't been tampered with, were pounced on it like hungry wolves.

In the rush of their eating an apple roll up to Percy's feet, the boy didn't even remember that he had an apple in his backpack. Kindly Percy took the fruit and handed it back to Annabeth who for some reason turned redder than a pepper at the sight of the offered apple

"I'm not taking that," Annabeth declares almost screaming

"What's up Anni is just an apple?" Thalia asked confused

"It can't be poisoned so don't worry," Luke added, still intent on eating

"Yeah, she's not poisoned and you're not Snow White," Thalia joked

Annabeth 's face became more and more red with embarrassment with every word said by her companions

"It's not that and that giving an apple as a gift to a woman in ancient Greece was a marriage proposal." the little girl admitted.

"How strange and useless to know," Luke chuckles

Percy agreed with the older boy that he who had been raised by some women who had lived in the real ancient Greece didn't know about this strange custom either.

"That's all?" Thalia asked amused to a mortified Annabeth who didn't dare meet her gaze for embarrassment

Receiving no response from her friend Thalia decided to act, without the slightest sign of hesitation she took the apple from Percy's hand and took a big bite.

Thalia said with a big smile as she chewed on the fruit of discord, behind her Luke was laughing so hard he looked like he was about to drown

"Don't worry boy I don't expect you to get married" Thalia continued regardless of how both Percy and Annabeth were looking at her in disbelief

"Also because I prefer my men to be taller than me" at this last beat Luke couldn't hold back his laughter making his food go sideways but despite the lack of air he didn't stop laughing.

Annabeth too managed to forget her embarrassment and join in the laughter, the only one who wasn't laughing was Percy himself who stood to the side with a frown on his face almost a dark cloud could be seen above his head as he drew dejected circles on the ground .

"I'm not short, I drink milk," Percy mutters

"Sure, sure brat," Thalia reassures him

"You'll see one day I'll grow up and you'll beg me to marry you," Percy declares confidently, only eliciting more laughter in response.

After the comic pause the three continued to eat the slight tension that had possessed them previously forgotten. It was amazing how that little food managed to make them so happy, Percy couldn't imagine how hungry they must be to behave like this.

What little food and help she had given him wasn't enough, Percy felt the duty and the desire to help more but he didn't know how. All the food on her had already been delivered, and she had no money or other valuables that her new friends might find useful.

Everything would have been easier if the three weren't so adamant about leaving as soon as they finished eating, Percy was sure that soon his parents would appear and they surely would be able to help and assist Thalia and her group .

But no matter how hard he tried to convince them the three didn't change their minds, Percy had gone so far as to swear on the River Stinge seeing that it had worked in the past but even that didn't convince the three. To make her oath in vain I think Annabeth , the little girl argued that her oath was useless because she did not have the power to speak for her parents or her family.

In his own words: Percy may not mean us any harm but his family couldn't be so sympathetic once they find out who we are.

It had been such flawless and logical reasoning that Percy hadn't had a chance to argue . It was a kind of speech that Percy was familiar with being used by some of his mothers but he never expected that even a child his age would be able to use it so proficiently.

"Well thanks for the meal but we have to go now" said Luke, the boy had become much more polite after realizing that Percy was not a threat to him and his friends.

"See you brat, make sure you grow well otherwise I won't even consider your marriage proposal" Thalia joked

"See you Seaweed Brain" greeting Annabeth , while the girl said goodbye Percy could not help but notice that the dagger with which he had fought the monsters now rested attached to his belt and was the only weapon he carried.

The sight of that dagger was somewhat irritating for Percy who still did not understand how a blacksmith worthy of the name could afford to circulate such shoddy work, it was as if with its mere presence that weapon insulted any craftsman with a little including Percy pride.

In the end, Percy couldn't take the sight any longer and after a moment's hesitation he decided what he could do not only to help his new friends even more but also to right the wrong that dagger was.

"Wait"

"What?" Thalia asked , seeing no reason to delay leaving any longer.

Percy didn't answer, still slightly hesitant he reached for the bracelet he wore on his wrist and to be precise one of the pendants that adorned it and after forcing himself to tear it off.

What was just a metal ornament under the incredulous eyes of Thalia , Luke and Annabeth transformed into an extraordinary weapon.

The blade was more than a foot long but less than sixty inches sharp only on one side, thus making the weapon fall into the category of wakizashi more similar to a short sword than a dagger. The dagger, due to its lack of guard and hilt together and its curved shape, resembled a sharp and lethal fang.

"Her name is Kiba. I wish you could take her," Percy said as he handed his joy and pride over to Annabeth .

Of all the weapons Percy had forged only Kiba had managed to pass his father's careful inspection and win his approval. Percy had never been as happy as that day but now he was willingly parting with his masterpiece. All because there was nothing wrong with helping others and Annabeth and her group definitely needed help.

Kiba hadn't even reached rank D but she still remained a weapon of superior alloys to any other wielded by the three, with her by their side the chances of survival of the three would certainly have increased.

"Be careful, it's very sharp" the boy added as the little girl took the weapon from his hands

Annabeth only nodded to Percy's warning as she admired the weapon in his hands, tasting its weight and balance.

"It looks like a very valuable weapon are you sure you want to give it to me ?" Annabeth asked but her hands already didn't want to leave the extraordinary treasure

"Otherwise I wouldn't have brought it out" Percy said simply hiding the pain that the loss of his greatest work entailed

"Thanks again, I'll put it to good use" with these last words Annabeth takes her leave following Luke and Thalia for unknown destinations.

As he watched them go beyond the horizon Percy could not help but hope that until their next meeting the three would be safe, so that they could hug each other safely.

This thought was quickly replaced by another, Percy had the uneasy feeling that something was not right it was as if he had forgotten something extremely important.

" Perseus , Kiritsugu , Emiya Jackson come out you're in trouble mister" his mother's angry voice calling him by his full name brought him back to reality making him remember he was in trouble.

It wasn't his fault but Percy was sure no one would believe him.
