"You need to put more chakra in the jutsu, Sasuke." Kakashi lectured as he sat atop a boulder while Sasuke was training.
"I… huff, know that." Sasuke held his hand down as he channeled chakra through his arm. Soft chirping soon began to replace the silence the two had been in. 'I need to put more chakra into it!' With a grunt of exertion, the soft chirping soon grew loud enough that Sasuke couldn't hear himself think. His eyes locked onto his training target and ran full speed. "Chidori!"
After Sasuke performed the jutsu, Kakashi looked up from his book and turned to see how Sasuke did. He hopped off of his comfortable spot on the boulder and nonchalantly made his way over to Sasuke, inspecting the damage the boy had caused to the target. "Deep gashes from your run. A mediocre pierce into rock, leaving jagged rocks behind. And finally, your hand injuries. The previously noted jagged rocks had," Kakashi was interrupted by Sasuke channeling a strong but small lightning current as he pulled his hand out. The boy immediately dropped to his knees and began panting soon after. Chakra exhaustion had finally hit him. "Cut up your hand. Listen Sasuke, you need to follow my orders. Not because I'm your superior in rank and everything else, but because I'm your sensei and I only want what's best for you."
Sasuke shrugged off his words and walked back toward his mission pack that he brought with him. He needed to bandage up his wounds and rest quickly so he could get back to training sooner.
Kakashi sighed as he walked back to his spot. "Sometimes it's better to let others in than to wall yourself off."
Kakashi walked past Sasuke and went back to his comfortable spot on the boulder. Sasuke, meanwhile, was currently reflecting on Kakashi's statement. Now that he thought about it, Itachi wasn't always alone. He had Shisui. He remembered seeing the two would train from time to time when both were free.
'...let others in…?'
"Naruto!"
Naruto's eyes snapped to Jiraiya as he regained focus. "Help me barricade the door!"
Naruto nodded his head as he rushed forward to try and help his master, but the maniac burst through the door beforehand. "AHAHAHAHAHA! Come on!"
Jiraiya snarled as he made eye contact with the lunatic. Up and close, the Sannin now spotted a few things. The first, and most blatant, was that there were now black marks covering half of the man's face and body. Second, was the musical note headband. "So, you must be from the new Sound village, huh?"
The maniac grinned before he sarcastically bowed. "Chunin of the Sound village, at your service." He straightened back up and held the large broadsword with both hands. "Now, I'm going to kill you."
Jiraiya smirked before he crouched down, behind the counter Jiraiya wanted to use to barricade the door. The chunin smirked before he ran toward the old man first. 'I'll kill the old guy first before moving on to the little kid.'
Just as he got close, the counter launched forward, knocking the guy out. Jiraiya quickly stood back up and leisurely walked over. "Naruto, pay attention. Once you get a hang of the summoning jutsu, this is the next jutsu I'll be teaching you." He held his palm out and soon a blue orb of spinning chakra came to life, hovering only an inch above Jiraiya's hand. "Rasengan."
Naruto's eyes widened as Jiraiya pushed the jutsu through the man's skull, grinding it and everything in it to nothing. "Woah! That's some jutsu! You'll really teach it to me, sensei?"
"Only if we make it out of this thing alive." Jiraiya winced as his broken arm suddenly made itself known. Jiraiya grunted before he motioned Naruto to him. "Alright," He whispered. "Sadly my main arm was broken when we fell through… whatever we fell through. I'll help you but you're going to have to do most of the fighting." Jiraiya saw the boy's face grimace. "Listen," Jiraiya stated as he grabbed Naruto's right shoulder with his right arm. "Just think of this as a training exercise. If you take care of these guys, who aren't really all that strong by the way, then you'll definitely be strong enough to learn the Rasengan."
Naruto nodded his head and looked out the window. "Okay. I can do this." He looked back at his master with eyes full of his determination. "I'll take all these guys out, sensei." He let a cheeky smile cross his face as he closed his eyes. "You won't even need to lift a finger."
"Haha! I like your cockiness kid!" Jiraiya laughed as he softly slapped the kid's shoulder. His eyes suddenly lit up as he recalled a question that crossed his mind earlier. "Hey Naruto, did you know what that portal was that brought us here?"
Naruto shook his head. He truly had no idea what that portal was, or who used it, but he did suspect what brought them there. He suspect that the game was responsible for bringing them here. How? He had no idea.
Objective:
Save the village
What he did know though, was that he had to save this village. "Alright sensei," Naruto stood up straight as he donned a confident smirk and he cracked his knuckles. "Let's go save a village."
Jiraiya mirrored the boy's smirk as the boy's mood was infectious. "Damn right kid. Let's go."
The two burst through the door as Jiraiya instantly shot a Water Style: Water Trumpet to put out the surrounding burning buildings. Naruto ran forward, looking for the others responsible for this chaos and destruction. He saw them earlier. Just mere glances, but he saw them. There were a couple more, he just needed to find them.
"Help! Please help me!" Naruto heard a woman cry out, her voice drenched with pure terror.
He sneered before he made his way over to where he heard the cry come from. Naruto jumped atop a burning building as a shortcut before landing in the alleyway, between the woman and the prosecutors. "Alright, you bastards!" Naruto yelled with as much anger as he was feeling. "Why are you here? Why are you doing this?"
"Why?" One of the two mocked. "Because we were ordered to."
Naruto growled before he launched forward at the men, not caring for the men's reasoning anymore. He pulled out two kunai while the men unsheathed their cutlass swords. The boy clicked his tongue out of irritation that these guys had swords too. He stopped running and instead opted to make a cross-hand sign. "Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
The alleyway was now filled with Naruto clones and they all launched their projectiles at the two men without hesitation. He heard the familiar chime ring throughout his head twice before he moved on, leaving his shadow clones to help the woman to safety. He had to track down every single invading shinobi in this village.
One by one, the enemy's forces were cut down by both Naruto's overwhelming shadow clones or by Jiraiya's accumulated skills throughout his time. Soon the invading forces noticed that someone was cutting down their numbers. "Kawano-sama! What do we do?"
The woman clicked her teeth out of anger before she turned around to face the one that addressed her. "Where is Zakai? Go bring him here! We'll launch a counterattack against these fools who think they can fight against the Sound Village!"
"Yes, Kawano-sama!"
The woman let out a huff before she turned back to face the direction she knew the enemies were. The fire was being put out at an alarming rate. At this rate, they wouldn't be able to burn down this village like Orochimaru wanted. She closed her eyes as she took in a deep breath. 'I won't let Orochimaru-sama down. I can't let him down again… otherwise, I'm as good as dead.'
"What's the plan, Kawano?" Zakai asked as soon as he landed next to his equal in rank.
The woman turned to face him with a face full of determination. "We use the summons Orochimaru-sama gave us."
"Now? Seriously?"
"They will take care of the person or people responsible for fighting back, and help in flattening this village just like Orochimaru-sama wanted."
Zakai briefly stared at Kawano. Internally debating each choice and its outcomes before he chose one. He let out a sigh as he popped open his weapon pouch. "Alright, but you'll be telling Orochimaru-sama that we already used the summoning scrolls and blood vials when he comes back."
"Alright alright. Just summon the snakes already, they're getting close."
Zakai worked in silence for a couple minutes before everything was set. "Alright, we're ready. You know what to do right?"
"Yeah," Kawano made her way beside the crouching Zakai. "Ready?" Zakai nodded. "Ok, Summoning Jutsu!"
Jiraiya had just finished putting out another burning building when his eyes caught sight of a sudden giant cloud. His eyes widened as the figure behind it suddenly emerged from the smoke, revealing the two giant summoned snakes.
Jiraiya grimaced when he saw the two. 'I'm down an arm and I have to deal with this crap too? Jeez, can't I catch a break?' The Sannin let out a huff as he bit his finger and slammed his palm down to the ground. "Summoning Jutsu!" A magenta-colored toad suddenly appeared with Jiraiya atop his head. "Heya Gamaken, sorry for bothering you but I need your help."
"It's not a problem Jiraiya-sama. I only hope that I won't be too much of a burden. I'm rather clumsy and ungraceful."
Jiraiya rolled his eyes as Gamaken jumped toward the enemy. "Oh please Ken, you're one of the best toads to summon. You don't always have to be so self-deprecating."
"I'm not. I'm trying to be humble to account for mistakes I make from time to time."
"Alright, that should take care of it. Zakai," Kawano turned to face her equal in rank. She quickly scribbled out some orders and handed the scroll to Zakai. "Take that to the squads over in"
The whole ground shook as a gigantic toad crashed onto the ground across from the two similar-sized snakes.
"What the hell?!" Zakai yelled. His face turned white with horror as the snakes were their trump cards and this person managed to pull off their large summoning. "Kawano! What do we do?!"
"Calm down!" She yelled as she slapped him across the face.
"I needed that!" She slapped even harder. "I needed that too!" She slapped him again. "You're pushing your luck, Kawano!"
"Listen!" She turned back to look at the now battling summons with Zakai doing the same. "It's a two-on-one. Even if the giant toad has a weapon and shield, two snakes are equally if not stronger than the single toad! We just have to help the snakes to make sure that the toad goes down."
Zakai gulped before a bit of color returned to his face. "You're right. We need to help the snakes get rid of that toad. After the summon is gone, the summoner will die soon after."
"Exactly. Now come on!"
The mysterious figure reached the location where Hagoromo's chakra was last sensed… but he couldn't spot him anywhere. 'Dammit. Where is he? I don't have time for this.' He sat down cross-legged and closed his eyes, trying to sense Hagoromo's chakra. He had to be within the vicinity. The figure could sense nothing. He could feel he was still in the area from just the hint of his chakra in the air. It just wasn't strong enough to pinpoint.
"Give! Me! My! Kunai!"
The figure quickly opened his eyes, taking in his surrounding and preparing for a fight… but it wasn't needed. He saw a young blonde boy trying to free his weapon from a man's head.
"Wah!"
Naruto groaned as he rubbed his head. He had accidentally thrown his kunai too hard and it had buried itself too deep within the enemy's skull that it was difficult to get it back. He had spent around five minutes trying to dislodge his kunai and when it finally came out, Naruto ended up smacking the back of his head on the ground. "Son of a bitch."
The figure narrowed his eyes before he decided he would follow this kid around. 'Maybe he could lead me to him. He was always popular with the residents of this planet.'
Naruto suddenly heard a loud crash that caused the ground to shake. He quickly stood up and took a step to run out of the new alleyway he was in when he suddenly stopped. He turned around and gave one last kick to the groin of the dead shinobi before he jumped on the building's roof. That shinobi had, albeit accidentally, kicked him in the dick first. So he got payback.
Now atop the roof, he had a clear view of what was happening. The two snakes were ganging up on the toad Jiraiya had summoned, and the enemy shinobi were attacking the toad from the ground too. "Oh fuck, Oh fuck, OhFuck," Naruto said in a panic. He immediately began running toward them, needing to help Jiraiya but not sure how. 'I could try the summoning jutsu… BUT I never managed to successfully perform that jutsu!' The closer he got to the battle, the faster his anxiety was building. 'There's nothing else I can do! I have to pull this off!'
Naruto was all the way on the other side of the village. He may have gotten a little carried away and now he was reaping the consequences of his own actions. Naruto would take too long to get their… on his own. Naruto closed his eyes and delved as deep as he could in his chakra, panicking all the while. "Summoning Jutsu!" A cloud of smoke soon encompassed the boy before…
"Heya! How ya doing?"
"Oh! You gotta be kidding me!" Naruto yelled out in pure rage. All that effort, all that training, all that pressure… and he still couldn't pull it off to save the day. No. He had to pull it off. He quickly picked up the toad and placed him on his head. He flashed through the hand signs again with anger burning through him. Naruto looked around at the devastation around him and a familiar burning sensation spread throughout his body.
*Nine-Tails Chakra Mode: Activated*
"Summoning Jutsu!"
A giant cloud of smoke appeared from behind the three battling giants. Jiraiya quickly turned around and couldn't help but smirk when the cloud dissipated and revealed Gamabunta, The Boss Toad. "Well damn kid, color me impressed."
"Where the hell am I?" The new summon bellowed out.
"Heya pops!"
"Gamakichi? What are you doing here?"
"I was bored so I came here! Why? Am I not supposed to?"
"Hey! Uhh, giant toad-"
"Psst! Calm him Gamabunta. He doesn't like being called anything else."
"Err I mean Gamabunta sir? I need your help to finish that snake over there!" Naruto pointed in the direction of the two snakes.
"Snakes? Well, alright, kid. I needed a new snakeskin wallet anyways. BUT, only this one-time kid." Gamabunta crouched low to the ground, preparing for a strong leap. "Hang on kid!"
Gamabunta jumped high into the air before he crash-landed right next to the other summoned toad. "Gamaken, what are- Jiraiya! You piece of-"
"Hey, Gamabunta! It's nice to see you too! But as you can see, I'm pretty busy at the moment so can you not-"
The Boss Toad unsheathed his dosu blade and slashed the head off of one snake while Ken distracted the other. Seeing his brethren get cut down, the snake slithered back and dispelled itself. "Jiraiya. Now that the battle is out of the way, let's talk about you stealing my stash of premium sake!"
*Nine-Tails Chakra Mode: Deactivated*
"Whoops! Sorry Gamabunta but no can do! There are still some people down there! Me and Naruto gotta go take care of them so, Naruto hurry up and end the summoning!"
"I can't! I don't know how!"
"Don't even try it, kid! Jiraiya's gotta pay for drinking all of my premium sake."
"It wasn't even that premium!"
"It was over 500 years old!"
Naruto watched the two bicker before he remembered the toad atop his head. "Hey, what's your name again?"
"Gamakichi at your service!" The orange-colored frog said.
Naruto picked him up and let him sit on the palms of both hands as he got a closer look at him. He hadn't had a chance earlier because he was in a hurry to get the big summons. Orange-colored, a blue jacket, and purple markings around his eyes and on his body. "Well, my name is Naruto Uzumaki! Nice to meet ya!"
"Nice to meet you Naruto! Got any snacks on hand?"
"Uhh, no? I don't have any snacks on me."
"Ahh, next time you summon me have some snacks on you if you don't mind."
"Uhh, sure thing?"
"Sweet!"
"Come on Gamakichi, let's go home." The Boss Toad bellowed. "And Jiraiya, you better pay me back for all the sake you stole from me!"
The Sannin gulped as he nodded his head. "Yes sir."
"I must go too Jiraiya-sama."
"See ya Naruto!"
"Bye Gamakichi!"
After all three summoning toads were dispelled, Naruto and Jiraiya were dropped to the floor where the remaining Sound shinobi were. Master and Student raised their eyebrows as the enemy shinobi were now on their knees, begging for mercy.
"Please spare us!"
"We didn't want to hurt anyone!"
"We were forced to!"
"Orochimaru-sama would've killed us if we refused!"
"Alright Alright, calm down. Listen, this is what we're going to do…"
Naruto tuned out everyone else as he turned around and opened his hud. 'Hmm, I had to have gotten a couple more points… Wow! I got 11 points from that alone! Man Title Quest is really something else! Hmm, I want six remaining points so that means I can spend… that's four and five- five points to spend. Let's put three into intelligence and two into speed.'
The second he interacted with the hud by placing a single point into his intelligence stat, a minuscule amount of Hagoromo's chakra rippled out. The figure was there to sense it and was skilled enough to determine where the chakra came from. He bolted out of his hiding place, with his target's eyes widening in fear and shock. Jiraiya felt the presence of the figure but was too slow to intercept him. The Sannin watched with anger and dread as the figure caught Naruto and took off into the forest.
"Dammit!" He turned around, facing the kneeling shinobi before he flashed through hand signs. The Sound shinobi's widened their eyes before they were all hit by a high-rank fire jutsu. Jiraiya quickly turned around and bolted after the two with as much speed as he could. 'Great! I need to stop letting my guard down so easily!'
Up ahead and with Naruto in his grasp, the figure began to bleed a bit of his own chakra into the boy, entering the boy's mind.
"What are you doing here?"
The figure opened his eyes and looked around, spotting Hagoromo Otsutsuki not a second later. "I was tracking you down."
"Hmhmhm, I know."
"Then why didn't you let me know where you were sooner?"
"Because, brother, they know we're here." The figure took a step back before he took off his hood, revealing the stern face of a species not from this planet. "Oh, brother, what have you done?"
Hamura Otsutsuki sighed as he looked down at his armored hands. He took off the robotic arm and held his right hand out to Hagoromo, palm up. "I had to place my Karma on this being because I had been wounded and surrounded."
"So you took over another being's body?"
"I had to."
"Taking over another being's body, suppressing their will, you had to do those things?"
"..."
"You outright killed them?"
"Listen to me. The being I'm inhabiting was one of the soldiers for the 'True Royalty'. I had been doing as we planned, observing the 'True Royalty' to find out where they took Mother."
Hagoromo closed his eyes as he stood upright and stood on the floor of Naruto's mindscape. He opened his rippled eyes as he faced his brother. "What did you find?"
"Mother was there." Hagoromo's breath hitched. They knew where she was. They finally knew where their mother was. They could finally rescue her from her captors. "However, something happened."
"What happened?" He asked, worry eating up at him.
"...She had been made queen."
"She…what…?" Hagoromo began to stumble. He fell on one knee with Hamura quickly trying to help him up. "Then… then that means-"
"That she's loyal to the 'True Royalty'." Hamura finished for him in a hard tone. He reacted the same way when he found out. That's what led him to be spotted and why he implanted his karma onto a soldier for the Otsutsuki.
"There is the possibility that she's only playing the part because she's forced to." Hagoromo started, desperately looking for an answer that doesn't have his mother becoming a tyrant. He looked away as he continued his rambling. "Maybe she's just waiting for the right time to-"
"Hagoromo." The Sage of Six Paths turned to face his brother. Hamura's stern yet solemn face said everything that he was thinking.
"We can't give up on her. She's our mother."
Hamura let out a sigh before he nodded his head. "Sure. We'll save her. So, why are you residing in this boy?" He asked, wanting to change the subject.
Hagoromo smiled as he stood back up completely. "This boy will grow into the man that will put a stop to the entire 'True Royalty' family."
"You can't be serious," Hamura replied. "He's just a kid. What makes you think he can take on the True Royalty?"
Naruto's mind finally snapped back into gear as he stabbed the figure's arm with a kunai. "Ragh!" The figure hissed out in pain.
"That." Hagoromo chuckled. "He has the will to never give up and the determination to grow stronger to protect others."
Hamura grinned before he nodded his head in acceptance. "Alright, I'll test his resolve myself then." The two brothers grinned at one another. One, from knowing that the boy will surprise his brother, while the other grinned because he hadn't been able to stretch his legs for the longest.
"Oh, don't overdo it, brother. The Otsutsuki's are monitoring this planet closely." Hagoromo lifted his shirt and showed his scar to his brother. "I gained this from a scout the True Royalty sent down. He wounded me and killed my Kanna before I lost myself in a rage. I murdered the scout and have been in hiding since."
"Alright, I'll be wary."
Naruto quickly jumped further away and created hundreds of shadow clones, all donning blood-red slitted eyes.
*Nine-Tails Chakra Mode: Activated*
"Listen! I don't know who you are, but you aren't taking me!" Naruto yelled as he made a cross-hand sign with his fingers. "Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Around a hundred Naruto clones suddenly engulfed the surrounding area, all wielding their own kunai. "Come on and try me!"
The figure took off its hood and revealed a red humanoid with a robotic mask over his face. "We'll see how strong you are." Suddenly then, Jiraiya rushed out of the foliage, attempting to get in between him and Naruto. Hamura quickly created a black orb that quickly turned into a staff. He tapped it on the ground and a red barrier erupted, trapping Naruto and Hamura within. "Sorry, but this is between me and him."
"Dammit! Naruto!"
"Why are you yelling at me?! I don't know this guy!"
"That's not why I'm yelling you idiot!"
Hamura internally chuckled before he let the black orb dissipate into the air. He rushed forward and hit Naruto on the back of his head with his right forearm, sending Naruto smashing into the ground with the force Hamura put behind his strike.
"Ah!" Naruto choked out as he slammed into the ground. He faintly heard Jiraiya yell for him to hold on in the background but his vision was too blurry at the moment for him to focus correctly. He growled as he tried to pick himself up but he was unexpectedly yanked up by his jacket.
Hamura pulled his arm back before he flung Naruto close to the edge of the barrier. Jiraiya grimaced and almost slammed the barrier before he recoiled back. Experienced Barrier users were able to make anyone who touched them instantly burst into flames. "Naruto! Don't touch the barrier! You'll get burned alive!" He quickly pulled out a blank scroll and plopped down, trying to draw a fuinjutsu strong enough to tear this barrier apart.
"Err, Got it." Naruto groaned out. He picked himself up as the clones began to assault the man. He turned to see that his clones weren't faring well as they were all being dispelled with ease. He crouched down and flicked his eyes down quickly.
Chakra: 51,127/220,000
'Tch. That summoning jutsu probably took a lot of my chakra on top of some of the Nine-tail's chakra.' His eyes widened for a second as if an invisible lightbulb went off in his head. He ran through hand signs before rushing toward the man and trying to attack him. The man saw right through Naruto's charge and kicked him in the chest, making him fly back.
Poof
Hamura snapped his head back to double-check what happened. He was sure he kicked away the original. Naruto manages to get a kick in as Hamura was distracted, sending him down to one knee due to the Nine-tail's chakra being pumped through his chakra system. Still midair from his first kick, Naruto brought down his other leg, trying to knock out the man with a powerful kick to the head. However, Hamura caught his leg before it could land and tossed the boy away with a harder force than before.
Poof
Another Naruto got close enough to land a few more blows before Hamura angrily sent out a ripple of chakra, sending everything it came into contact with flying back. All the clones soon dispersed and Naruto was left picking himself up. 'Damn. This guy is something else, I'm not sure if I can win this fight.'
Hagoromo chuckled after watching Naruto play a trick on his younger twin brother. "See what I mean? This boy, although very weak currently, has the mind and strength to challenge those that are stronger."
Hamura grunted he didn't know they were still mentally connected but then again his brother was more talented with these things. "Those traits don't make him strong. Those traits only lead to an earlier death as they tend to step on a stronger person's toes that could kill them without hesitation."
Hamura breathed in and unleashed a strong tunnel of wind toward the blonde who barely managed to jump out of the way. 'Damn! I'm faster with the Kyuubi's chakra but I'm still barely keeping up!' His eyes widened before he put his remaining points directly into speed. 'Let's see how much it boosted me.'
Hamura saw Naruto stand up before he suddenly disappeared in an act of pure speed, seemingly flickering out of existence. 'Huh-?'
Hamura let out a sudden and sharp exhale of pain before grabbing onto Naruto's leg, the one he used to deliver the kick to his midsection. 'Mhh.' He thought out of slight pain. A sound you'd let out when a little kid slightly knocks the wind out of you when you let your guard down.
Naruto used this chance to slap his left hand down on the figure's back. He raised his right in the ram hand sign before being enveloped in a cloud of smoke. Hamura squinted his eyes, trying to see what the boy was planning through the smoke. The smoke soon quickly dispersed and turned into whisps of smoke that manage to only cover the woman's breasts and waist.
Hamura, in an act of complete shock and disbelief, immediately dropped his hold on the boy and stared at him with his mouth slightly opened. Now free, Naruto quickly sped behind his opponent and slapped his right hand against Hamura's back, and channeled chakra in his right palm.
"Rasengan!" Naruto yelled full of confidence.
The chakra he gathered in the palm of his hand sent out harsh and violent slashes of chakra that tore into Hamura's back. He had thought the boy wasn't that capable so he faced off against the kid with most of his guard dropped. 'Underestimating this boy cost me a bit of my dignity.' Hamura internally chuckled. Now laying flat on the ground, taking a couple of moments to gather his thoughts and breath, Hamura closed his eyes and went back to talk with his brother. With the mental link already established, they could mentally appear in Naruto's mindscape at ease.
While Hamura was discussing Hagoromo's plan with Naruto, the Uzumaki let out the breath he had been holding. "Naruto!" The boy turned his head to the right and saw Jiraiya outside of the barrier with his jaw agape. "Wow, you're a lot more talented than I thought!" He joked.
Naruto took on a cocky smile as he pointed his thumb to his leaf headband. "Of course! Your student is the future Hokage!"
Jiraiya let out a sigh of relief before he went back to working on the seal. He finished soon after and just as he was about to place the seal on the barrier, it began to flicker. It soon fell apart just as the figure began to stand. Acting quickly, Jiraiya jumped in front of Naruto. "What do you-?"
"Naruto Uzumaki." The figure announced with a deep yet gentle voice. "You'll live to see and do many great things. I fought you to test your will and strength, and you've surprised me by surpassing all of my expectations."
"So, what? You've tracked us down and fought Naruto for what? How did you even know about him?"
"I have a trusted source that told me of his capabilities and possible future growth." The figure took off the robotic mask and revealed a pale human-like face with byakugan eyes. "My name is Hamura, I'll be helping you grow stronger when the time is right."
Jiraiya placed a hand on Naruto's shoulder before he tightened his hold on the boy. Hamura smiled at the man's gesture. He was happy that Naruto would grow up with other's looking after him. "Until then," A familiar hole opened up just underneath Jiraiya and Naruto. "Grow stronger on your own. Prove to everyone else that you will succeed."
Naruto, just before he fell through the portal, flashed a confident grin toward the stranger. He may not know what exactly his deal was, but anyone that truly believes in him is alright in his book.
"Oof!"
"Ouch…" Naruto whined as he rolled Jiraiya off of him. "Did you have to land on top of me?"
"Hey, I broke my arm last time we fell through that. I don't need to break my other one." Jiraiya glanced around them and immediately noticed that they were back at the clearing they were training in previously. "Good, looks like we're back in the leaf village."
Naruto finally fully relaxed his body after hearing Jiraiya's words. "Thank god!"

'Oh, come… on-'
Thud
"Kid?"
