Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Gaming Galore. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Overwatch; Blizzard and a few others do.
Hannah looked at her friend who was too busy trying to sit up to really do anything. He looked at her with a gaze that told her that her friend was going to be doing something insane. He looked at her through semi organic eyes. The sterile white and black room clashed with everything that Hannah was used to. At the moment, however? She didn't really care; Hannah was more focused on keeping her friend alive.
"Talon was bad enough to throw this down at the moment?" Mercy asked as she started to type on the console in front of her. "Why do I even ask that question? They will come for us… They gave us one of their own, used a boy as a hostage for this…" Mercy added while she sighed and started to look around with slowly growing concern.
"Can you remove that stuff from him?" Hannah asked as she sat down next to her friend.
"Not easily, no…" Mercy stated with a sigh as she turned to look around at Hannah. "They did not want him being taken easily… Even the majority of tranquilizers do not seem to be working on him… Whatever they placed within his body? Your friend is far more than simply machine or human… He's a cyborg." Mercy said while sighing as she started thinking about what came next.
If Talon used Radley to find their base? They'd be forced to leave fast, Overwatch was not fully up to full power yet, meaning if the rest of Talon showed up? They wouldn't be able to hold them off. Mercy almost wondered if Moira had a hand in turning Radley into this killing machine. There was nothing she wasn't willing to do for the love of science. It wasn't much of a stretch to believe at the end of the day that her counterpart had created Radley's upgrades.
He already seemed to reek of her handiwork at the moment. Mercy swore if she found the deranged woman again? She would put her down like the dog she was, clause or not.
"Radley still seems to exist in a few ways under the modifications." Mercy put in as Hannah turned to her with confusion. "There is still some concept of him under all of that programming they put into him… Either they were not through enough, or they did it on purpose so Radley could watch himself destroy you and his friends." Mercy added with a sigh.
"There's got to be a lot more things to discuss, Hannah." Mercy stated while she leaned on the console a moment later. "If these scans are right? There are multiple failsafes to ensure that Radley doesn't betray their army even at the end of the day." Mercy added while she paused to recount the data on her end.
She knew for a fact that something would break down to it. Mercy nodded to Hannah and rubbed at her temples. Even if she wanted to? She would require more research and time to try and creature a cure to whatever had consumed Radley's body. This was not normal… But then again? What was normal in this day and age?
"Your friend is safe, but he will die if I try to remove the control tech at this time, Hannah." Mercy added with a solemn voice as she thought of her options currently as of now.
If they tried to help Radley? It could backfire, she didn't know what Talon had put into him, it was clear they had done so both to mimic her and hurt her worse than they had already.
"Is Radley going to hurt himself or someone?" Hannah asked Mercy who was silent, rubbing at her neck as she did so.
"No, I'm not sure how his cybernetics work, however." Hannah heard from Mercy as she shook her head, sighing as she looked at him which gave her panic.
This was nerve-racking for her; a doctor was not willing to hurt her patient. You didn't hurt your patient no matter what, it was something that made her furious, it was clear that Moira had put some of her personal handiwork into this, simply because it allowed her another sick canvas to use for her work.
"Hannah, your friend will be fine." Mercy said, finally turning away from her newest case. "But he will not be getting better anytime soon, Talon doesn't do anything halfway. He was turned into this monster as another of their twisted schemes, but Radley isn't gone. I can only assume Moira wanted him this way, just another twisted monster she can call an experiment." Mercy said before she sighed.
She avoided Hannah's gaze. She couldn't begin to think about how her friend was thinking about her friend. Any good soldier would worry, but Hannah was more than a soldier.
And Radley was clearly a good friend to her at the end of the day.
