Izuku Midoriya, a pure hearted young man with the potential to become the greatest hero ever, groaned as he woke up. He turned in his bed and saw the best thing possible. Eri and Mina both sleeping peacefully, both with pleasant smiles on their faces.
Izuku was still a bit lost after last night, Eri had called them her parents... But strangely... He didn't mind that idea. Mina sure seemed okay with it.
To be honest though, he's had this nagging feeling lately. One that told him he should stop lying to himself and just accept one simple truth... He thought of Mina as more than a friend.
That thought alone made him blush hard but as he was about to get up he heard Eri mumble in her sleep.
"Mmmmno... I wanna stay with papa... And... Mi...mi" she soon returned to her calming slumber.
Izuku stroked her hair and kissed her horn. A small action but she smirked in her sleep none the less.
Izuku smiled, satisfied with her happiness and went to the restroom. Meanwhile, little known to Izuku and Mina. Most of their classmates , minus Bakugo , were awake, they were in the lobby having a small meeting at the request of Iida, the class representative.
"Good morning fellow classmates! I've asked you to come here to discuss a number of matters with all of you!" Iida greeted loudly
"Too loud!" Uraraka complained, covering her ears.
Iida toned down his enthusiasm "Apologies Uraraka, but I ask everyone to cooperate as we discuss these matters before the others wake up. Now, I know Mr Aizawa has already said it but please everyone, be on your best behavior. The girl they brought back yesterday seems fragile. Please don't bombard her with questions or crowd her. Understood?"
Everyone nodded in agreement.
Iida nodded at them "Good. Now..." He looked to Jirou. Ever since listening in on Izuku and Mina talk, she's been more reclusive that usual. "Jirou... We don't mean to pry but... Do you need to let anything out? We promise not to judge you."
Jirou shook her head no. "Not at all..."
Kaminari interjected "Come on Jirou! We just want to help! What you heard couldn't have been that bad!"
Jirou scowled at Kaminari "Would you just shut up!"
Everyone flinched, surprised by Jirou's outburst. Jirou then calmed down.
"Look... What Midoriya told Ashido wasn't anything dirty or funny... It was... Heartbreaking. Its... Hard to even comprehend..." Jirou started to gently shake.
Kirishima was genuinely concerned as he spoke up. "Jirou... I know it's important to you but... We don't want you to bare this burden alone. Izuku has been there for us so many times, we want to be there for him and you, just this once." He spoke softly.
Jirou looked into Kirishima's eyes... This was Bakugo's friend! How would he react if he knew the truth. "... If you think I'm telling you right now. You'd better think twice."
Everyone sighed until they heard a voice.
"What's going on here?" They turned and saw Katsuki Bakugo at the top of the stairs.
Jirou instantly sealed her lips like a spell was placed on them.
Bakugo came down and looked to everyone "Why are you all acting so fucking weird lately!?!"
Iida sighed "Bakugo, please. Try not to wake the girl."
Bakugo grunted and grit his teeth "You guys are really starting to piss me off. First, Racoons Eyes goes numb to me, next, AUX cord over there chews me out for no reason. Now all you guys are here, minus that pathetic Deku and cotton candy for brains, almost like a cult?!"
Jirou stood up "There IS a reason I chewed you out jackass!" She stomped her way to Bakugo as she now had Kaminari and Momo holding her back.
"Don't play his game, Jirou! You're better than this!" Momo argued
"HEY!!!" They all looked towards the stairs and saw Izuku Midoriya with a stern look, "I'm only going to say this once... There's a six year old girl here, who is having the best nap she's ever had. So please don't make anymore noise until she's awake." He then walked off.
Everyone calmed down as Bakugo grunted and went to train outside. Jirou went to her room and locked the door. Iida just sighed as everyone dispersed. They managed to accomplish nothing during that meeting.
Back to our family of three though, Eri was starting to wake up and gave a cute yawn. She looked around in confusion for a moment before she looked down and saw her Mimi happily sleeping away. She looked to the other side expecting to see Deku but he wasn't there. She immediately grew nervous and hugged Mimi close.
Mina woke up from feeling a weird pressure on her face, upon realization, she discovered it to be Eri. She yawned "Mornin' ErBear~".
Eri let go only to attach herself in a proper hug to Mina "W-Where's Deku?"
At that moment the door opened and Izuku came in. "Oh! You guys are finally up."
Mina chuckled "Oh please, mister early bird, some people are normal and wake up when the sun is full outside."
Eri immediately ran and clung to Izuku with tears in her eyes. "Please don't leave me, Daddy"
Izuku's heart nearly shattered before he kneeled down and hugged her "I would never leave you, Eri"
Eri quickly calmed down "S-Sorry... I just... Get scared when you leave"
Mina got up and hugged them both "Don't fear! Deku and Mimi are here!" Mina nuzzled into Eri making both giggle.
Izuku chuckled "Alright guys. Get dressed. We have a lot of people to introduce Eri to."
Eri nodded confidently "I'm a bit scared but... I-I'll do my best!"
Izuku pet her head "I'm sure it'll all go fine, Eri" he smiles.
Mina took Eri to get dressed as Izuku tried to process what he saw downstairs. They were all very tense but... Eh he'll ask later.
After getting dressed and putting Eri in her red dress, they went downstairs slowly as Eri hid behind Mina's leg. Tsuyu was the first to notice and spoke up.
Tsuyu smiled "Morning guys" everyone instantly turned their heads to them. Tsuyu crouched to Eri's level "Hi there. My name is Tsuyu Asui but you can call me Tsu."
Eri was a bit nervous but stretched her hand out and waited for Tsuyu to do the same. Tsuyu slowly stretched her hand out and softly grabbed Eri's delicate hand. Eri felt the same calmness she did with Mina and Deku. A smile graced her face as Aww's filled the room.
Slowly but surely, they introduced Eri to most of the class. Eri, however, was still extremely nervous. She was doing her best to remain optimistic about meeting new people but it was all so new to her. What if one of them suddenly snapped? The only thing that helped her was having a Herculean grip on either Mina or Izuku.
Uraraka approached them "Wow Deku! Taking care of a little girl like this is a lot! If you ever need help. Don't be afraid to ask."
Izuku smiled "It's okay. Mina has been helping me out with that." Mina gave a wholesome smile. Uraraka should have suspected this would come sooner or later.
Uraraka nearly collapsed, it was a death blow... Mina and Izuku taking care of this little girl? The writing is in the fanfic-eh I mean the wall. "Hey Deku... Can you and I talk alone later?"
Izuku blinked twice "Uhh sure. What's up?"
Uraraka gave a fake chuckle "I'll tell you later! Just text me when your ready to talk and we can chat in my room, kay?" Izuku nodded as she walked off
Izuku tried to figure out what happened but Mina was wise to it and grew nervous. Suddenly, Eri's eyes caught a sight of Momo "Ohhhh, Mimi, Deku, who's that?"
Both teens focused back on Eri and smiled. "Well let's go say, Hi!" Mina replied as they then waltzed over to Momo.
"Hey Giiiirl!" Mina greeted
Momo turned from her phone to see them "Oh hello Mina, Izuku and oh my goodness! Who is this? She is simply adorable!"
Mina held Eri in one arm "Say hello to Eri, the best little girl ever!"
Momo chuckled "Hello Eri, it's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Momo Yaoyarozu" she stretched her hand for her to shake and Eri shook her hand happily
"You're really pretty, Momo" Eri smiled
Momo gasped "So young and so cute! Thank you Eri. Your very pretty as well" Momo laughed.
Eri was feeling happy. She took a moment to look around the room and notice all the nice people. Unfortunately she saw someone who resembled... Him.
In an instant, she froze, fear plagued her entire being, her grip on Mina became unbreakable and finally, she screamed. "AHHHHHHH!!!" Eri screamed with tears in her eyes.
Everyone instantly turned their attention to Eri. "ErBear?! What's wrong?!" Mina yelled
Eri reached to Izuku and gripped him close as well, her voice became hoarse. "Don't let him get me... P-Please!"
Izuku held her but still didn't understand what she was talking about. Until his eyes locked on their resident emo birb, Tokoyami.
Izuku softly stroked her back "It's okay, Eri. He's a good friend, I promise he won't hurt you"
Mina was still a bit confused but finally picked up on the similarities between Overhaul and Tokoyami, granted that wasn't his fault but that didn't stop Mina from what she did next.
Mina jogged to Tokoyami and mouthed "Roll with it" to him as she approached. Poor Tokoyami was still getting over the fact he'd just accidentally traumatized a child with his looks as he took in what Mina mouthed.
Everyone watched Mina jog to him and pretend to punch him as he fell behind the kitchen counter. Mina then kept pretending to hit him as Tokoyami simply lied there. Eri actually did feel a bit better from Mina's actions as Mina slowly got up and went to Eri.
"He can't hurt you anymore~" Mina said dramatically in a hero pose.
Eri smiled a bit then out of the corner of her eye, saw Tokoyami's head pop out from behind the counter to see if she was okay before quickly hiding again. Eri now felt extremely bad for judging the poor birb so quickly!
She practically leaped out of Izuku's arms and ran behind the counter to see Tokoyami crouched down, not noticing she was there.
Eri mustered up all her courage before speaking. "S-Sir?"
Tokoyami quickly turned around and saw her. Eri bowed gently "I'm sorry for being so loud and scared of you."
Tokoyami looked to his side "I-Its fine. My apologies for frightening you..." Tokoyami then noticed the design for an apple on Eri's dress and sent Dark Shadow to the fridge to retrieve an apple for her. Dark Shadow poked Eri's head and she stood up from her bow, to be greeted with the sight of a shadow like copy of this young man offering her an apple. "Perhaps we can start over?". Eri smiled and took the apple as she pat the shadows head
All the students were proud of Eri for overcoming her fear but none were more proud of Eri than Izuku and Mina. The latter of which sprinted to Eri and hugged her. "You're the sweetest little girl ever!"
Izuku sighed, thankful that this didn't turn into anything bad but was also happy that Eri was coming out of her shell quicker then he anticipated. Izuku then looked around the room to see everyone happy for Eri, however, he did notice some absences "Hey Momo. Where did Jirou and Kachan go?"
Momo's mood almost instantly went from happy to sad. "Bakugo went out to train but Jirou is in her room... We... Upset her."
Mina heard this and looked to Eri who was playing with Dark Shadow before picking her up "Hey Eri. Wanna come with me and Deku to cheer someone up?"
Eri nodded happily.
Mina chuckled and yelled to Izuku "C'mon Midori! Let's go cheer up our resident punk rocker!" She then bolted up the stairs.
Izuku giggled "You got it." He followed the pink blur.
They made it to Jirou's door and Mina knocked "Hey Jirou! Got a minute?"
Jirou's door opened slowly to reveal the depressed looking rocker. "... What do you two want..."
Mina chuckled "Three!" She pointed to Eri who stood in front of her.
Eri and Jirou locked eyes for a moment, as if they were reading each other before Jirou moved and sat on her bed as they came in. Deku shut and locked the door so no one interrupted them trying to help her.
Eri sat on the bed next to Jirou "Why are you sad?"
Mina and Izuku didn't expect Eri to assist them but... Might as well see what happens.
Jirou sighed "I'm... Upset... I did something I shouldn't have done to my friends and now people want to know what I did to those people."
Eri put her finger to her chin "Hmmmm do your friends know?"
Jirou shook her head no "No... But... Will they forgive me if I tell them?"
Eri smiled "Of course, you aren't mean or anything." Eri gave Jirou the apple Dark Shadow gave her.
Jirou smiled a little "Hehe... You got Midoriya's magic huh kid" she gave Eri a noogie as Mina smirked to Izuku who only blushed.
Eri chuckled as Jirou then looked to Mina and Izuku. "Promise me you won't tell anyone but...-"
She told them everything. She told them about sneaking into the dorm by Mina's room, she told them about her self hatred for listening in on something so private and finally... She told them what she heard and how many people were with her when she was listening.
Izuku's voice went silent. He had hoped no other soul other than Mina heard that. Mina hugged Izuku, who immediately began to shiver. Eri got off the bed and ran to Izuku hugging him tight. Izuku was shaking but the hugs from his little family calmed him rather quickly.
Jirou sighed "I'm really sorry. I promise I'm the only one who knows about that but... Still... It gives me nightmares ... Seeing you in so much pain. A never-ending hell created by someone who still tortures you to this day. Especially when you're such a nice guy... Case and point" she said as she pointed to Eri.
Izuku let out an exasperated sigh before smiling. "I gotta say... It... Doesn't upset me too much."
Jirou perked up at the sound of that and Mina looked at Jirou. "Why do you think I've been having trouble with, Blasty lately?" Jirou let out a small smile. She knew she was safe from judgement here.
Jirou got up and approached Izuku from the side so she didn't squish Eri, and hugged Izuku. Izuku blushed hard for a moment before Jirou spoke up. "I... I'm sorry... For everything Bakugo put you through... If it were me, I probably would never have forgiven him... But you... You remained passionate, thoughtful, and caring... You're a true hero, Midoriya."
Izuku was truly touched, having Mina believe in him was more than enough, but having Jirou and Eri back him up... It felt Incredible... However, he needed to clear something up. "Thank you so much Jirou... Truly... I appreciate it... But please don't hate Bakugo. What happened is in the past, nothing more I can do about it. Plus, Bakugo is showing true signs of improvement in his development toward being a hero. Believe me, I would know hehehe."
All three girls were glad to see Izuku smile. Jirou however, noticed something else, Mina and Izuku's hands were locked tight. After seeing that, she quickly formulated a plan.
"Hey. You guys look like you could use some time to relax. I don't mind watching Eri for you, if you want." Jirou suggested
Izuku waved his hands "Oh it's no big deal! We'll just keep pushing unti-"
"Midori?" Mina interrupted as he turned to look at her. "I won't lie... I am pretty exhausted" she gave a tired smile.
Izuku looked concerned for her but looked at Eri who started getting scared they would leave. "Hey Eri." Jirou said "Mind hanging out with me for a little while and giving them a break?"
Eri looked down... Then looked to Izuku and Mina to see that they did look rather weak. So Eri made a small sacrifice, "I-I don't mind" she hugged Jirou's legs.
Izuku smiled and helped Mina up. "We'll try not to be too long, okay Eri?" Eri nodded and waved bye as they left the door. As soon as it shut Jirou felt Eri grip her leg hard.
Jirou gently stroked Eri's head and comforted her as Izuku took Mina to his room and sat down.
Mina sighed "Sorry, Midori" she took a deep breath.
Izuku smiled "It's okay, Mina. I know a lot has happened lately." He was really close to Mina. He started to grow a bit nervous. Not because he was with her but because he recently discovered his true feelings for her.
Mina laid back on the bed "You know... I know it's been crazy and all but... Maybe some time today... We can go out and grab a bite to eat?" She started to gently blush.
Izuku was about to agree but his phone went off. He quickly picked it up and saw a message from none other than Uraraka asking him to visit her dorm. He frowned a bit, he kinda liked the idea of going out to eat with Mina and just reflect on what's happened but, ever the giver of his time, he decided to hang out with Uraraka first.
"Maybe later, Mina. Uraraka wants to tell me something" Izuku almost sighed as he said this.
Mina noticed that a bit and kicked off her shoe then poked Izuku's cheek with her socked big toe. "Well hey, when you come back you can play with these~" she chuckled.
Izuku sighed "Mina, I keep trying to tell yo-"
"It's okaaaay, Izuku. It's fine. Just go see Uraraka" Mina said in a relax tone.
'Will I ever get through to her?' Izuku thought for a moment before getting up "Alright. See ya soon" he left his dorm.
Meanwhile with Jirou and Eri
Eri was currently listening to Jirou play guitar and she... Was... Enthralled. The sounds Jirou made were unlike anything Eri had heard before. It looked so simple! But she was sure if she picked it up she'd fumble with it.
Eri hopped up and down happily "You're really good!"
Jirou smiled "Thanks, Eri... Hey? Mind if I ask a question?"
Eri tilted her head.
"What do you see Izuku and Mina as?" A puzzled Jirou asks.
"I... I'm not sure I get it?" Eri said, befuddled.
Jirou shrugged "Like... Are they your guardians, your friends?"
Eri perked up "Oh! They're my Mommy and Daddy!" She said so innocently.
Jirou's eyes open wide "H-How do you know that?"
Eri relaxed and smiled "Because they make me smile, they take care of me, and I do what I can to help them... That's what family does, right?" She tilted her head.
Jirou smiled "Hehe... Yeah... It sure is... Well, if you want more family, just call me your big sis."
Eri nodded "Okay. Then you're Big Sis Jirou." She hopped excitedly "My family's getting bigger!"
Jirou put a hand over her mouth "so cute..." Jirou then got an idea "Hey Eri, have you met Momo?"
Eri nodded yes "Yeah! She was super nice!"
Jirou smiled "Mind if I invite her here?"
"I don't mind, Big Sis!" Eri smiled softly.
Jirou pulled out her phone "I'll invite her over then".
Eri smiled and reflected a bit on her current situation "A lot is happening... But I'm... Excited for it".
"That's Mina" Jirou said effortlessly.
"What?" A confused Eri spoke.
"Mina's excited nature and overflowing enthusiasm infects people." Jirou explained "Just ask, Deku".
Hard cut to Deku knocking on Uraraka's dorm door.
Uraraka opened the door almost instantly "Hey Deku! Come on in!" She moved so there was enough room for him to come in.
Izuku made his way in "So. What was it you wanted to talk about?"
Uraraka began to fiddle with her hands "Well... I... I thought I should tell you something... Something I pushed down in fear." She started to breath deeper.
Izuku was slightly worried for her. Was this that bad?
Uraraka took a deep breath "Deku... I... I... I love you!" Uraraka yelled out
Izuku was shocked! He'd never had a girl confess to him before. It was exciting but ... He couldn't return her feelings... Why? He loved Uraraka! She was his best friend! Closer to him than most others! The only other is...
Izuku sighed and dropped his head as he looked at the floor. Uraraka's fear had been realized, she had reached her game over. "I'm sorry..."
Izuku panicked "No! No! I-I'm sorry, Uraraka. It's just... I want... I want to return your feelings but-"
"I'm too late... Someone else has taken up residence in your heart... Right?" Uraraka asked with a broken smile as tears now flowed down her face freely.
Izuku embraced her immediately and hugged her close to his chest. "Uraraka... You will always mean a lot to me. I'm... I'm sorry I don't feel the same, but I really do hope we can still be best friends."
He felt Uraraka nod into his chest as she let out a soft whimper. "I'll be the bestest friend ever".
Meanwhile Mina was snooping through some of Izuku's stuff "I just need proof! Just a little bit!" She kept digging only to find nothing.
Mina put his stuff back the way it was after a bit and sat on his bed again. "... Uraraka is probably going to confess to him... My ship will finally come true!... But... Why do I feel so sad about that..."
Mina looked at a picture Izuku had of him and his friends at the beginning of U.A. and smiled "He really has changed a lot." She looked into a nearby mirror that caught her gaze. "Then again... So have I..."
Mina sat on his bed and huffed "Okay! I've made up my mind! I'm gonna support Izuku no matter what! Even if he and Uraraka get together!" Mina suddenly heard footsteps and quickly acted natural.
Izuku opened the door "I'm back. Hope I didn't wake you" he sat at his desk.
Mina chuckled "Nah, I'm not that tired. So what did Uraraka want?"
Izuku immediately blushed "O-Oh um she uh... She was just showing me a new technique with her quirk ehehe"
"Okay..." Mina was a bit off put that Izuku didn't want to tell her but she moved on. "Well... Whatcha wanna do now?"
Izuku looked to his dumbbells, "I'm gonna train."
Mina got up quick "Izu, it's only been a day since your fight with Overhaul. Don't you think you should take it easy?" Mina put a hand on his shoulder.
Izuku was quiet... "I've got to get stronger, Mina, I was only able to beat him thanks to Eri's help... I have to get stronger for everyone." he then walked out of his room, determined to push himself beyond his limits.
Mina sighed. 'I know I shouldn't stop him from training all the time but he just fought a crazy villain! He should give himself SOME time'. Just as she was about to follow him she heard her phone get a text.
She picked up her phone and read the message only for her heart to stop and fear to kick in. Mina then sat back on Izuku's bed and slumped. "I guess I should have seen this coming..."
The text came from Bakugo "Come to my dorm in 5, raccoon eyes"
