Izuku had a bit of a hard time enjoying his family's moment. The back of his mind was clouded with intense thoughts pertaining to his complex situation with Bakugo.
Izuku slowly got up and went to get himself some water from the faucet.
"Izu~" Mina said gently grabbing his waist from behind "Are you okay?"
Izuku was just about to say he was until Mina cut him off. "Oh... and don't lie..."
The following was a few seconds of silence until a sigh escaped Izuku's lips "... I... I'm worried..."
"...About?" Mina replied sharply.
"... Bakugo... He's not going to apologize. He said, even if he's forced to, he won't mean it." Izuku said slowly. The fact that he didn't call him Kachan told Mina how serious this was.
"... Izuku, I think it's fair to say that we both saw that coming right?" Mina sounded calm but her grip on Izuku was slowly getting stronger.
Izuku turned around fully and hugged her as she let out a deep breath "Yeah... but... what are we supposed to do about it?"
"...I don't want that bastard to get his way anymore... Let's tell the teachers tomorrow." Mina stated.
Izuku nodded "Let's do our best to end this."
Mina kissed his cheek "Thanks, Izu~"
Izuku blushed and kissed her forehead "You're welcome, Mina~"
Little did they know, a young Unicorn overhead the whole thing without being detected.
At bedtime
Izuku and Mina had set up a smaller bed from the other rooms up in theirs
Eri looked confused "Why is there another bed, Daddy?" She asked while pointing at the bed.
Izuku crouched beside her nervously "Well Eri... Th-This is your bed... We wanted to see if you'd be okay sleeping in your own bed tonight."
Eri gulped and tried not to cry 'Why? Do they not like me anymore?! Are they going to get rid of me?!... NO! They love me! I... I have to trust them... They only want what's best for me, right?' "O-O-Okay" Eri forced a smile as she tried to hold back tears only to fail.
Mina and Izuku quickly hugged her tight. "It's gonna be okay, Eri." Mina whispered.
"It's just for tonight. Then you can spend tomorrow night in our bed, okay?" Izuku assured.
Eri wiped her tears and hugged them back "Y-Yeah!"
Later that night, everyone was in bed trying to sleep. Izuku and Mina felt bad... They'd discussed it at the gym but telling Eri not to sleep next to them hurt them as much as it hurt Eri. They wanted to hold her, hear her small snores and feel her little limbs clinging between them.
But they knew, they knew Eri would eventually need her own bed, not now of course, but it was an idea brought by Izuku to see if she could sleep through a night without having a nightmare.
So far it was working but... That's because Eri didn't go to sleep yet. Eri looked at the dresser, the ceiling and the edges of her parents' bed. She tried to close her eyes, but it just wouldn't happen. She then felt scared, paranoid that something would come out of the darkness and grab her. She grabbed the closest thing she could and was immediately relived to see the plushies of her parents. She gripped them tight as her eyes finally began to shut from both exhaustion and relief.
Izuku had been stealthily keeping an eye on her during this entire time. He couldn't help but worry for her, he wanted to be there for her whenever she needed it but ... He knew that Eri had to fight this battle... Still didn't stop him from making sure she was okay, though.
Mina pulled Izuku close which got his attention. "C'mon cutie... Let's rest up for tomorrow."
Izuku slowly but surely shut his eyes. "Yeah ... Tomorrow" they both finally fell asleep.
As the morning sun peaked over the horizon, slowly the students of class 1A were beginning to wake. Mina was sleeping soundly when she heard strange noises. She slowly got up from the bed and checked around to see Eri stirring in her sleep. Mina could see Eri's eyes were wet, and she was squirming lightly. This nearly shattered Mina's heart until she leaned down and kissed Eri's horn "Shhhh it's okay sweetie. We're still here... We love you~". Almost instantly Eri's squirming stopped as she relaxed into her bed. Mina was proud to be as close to Eri as she was, it's not every day or ever that you receive someone as special as Eri in your life. The pinkette stood back up and quietly went down to make her family some breakfast.
Mina smiled while making the food. For the first time in her life, she felt... Calm. She felt no need to just go super crazy and goofy or anything. She just felt relaxed. It was refreshing! Sometimes new things are good. Of course, she's still the same Mina everyone knows and loves but this feeling of relaxation was more than welcome what with all the Bakugo related tension there had been.
'Heh... So much has changed... And all in such a short time too!' Mina thought. 'A boyfriend, a house, a friggen daughter?! Any other girl would probably look at me and say I was crazy! ... Welp, sucks to be them. I got the sweetest little girl around, and the most Midorible green bean as my boyfriend." She set most of the food on the table along with three plates as she began to cut up an apple. 'I just gotta keep an eye out for Baka-hoe... I hope the teachers settle this thing with him today...'
A yawn came from behind her, she turned her head to see Izuku with Eri still sleepy on his back. "Morning, Mina~" he said with a tired smile.
Mina looked at her two favorite people and smiled "Morning, cuties~!"
Not much was out of the ordinary since yesterday. Breakfast was great, Eri hung around Jirou before class, but something felt off for Mina. She felt a bad vibe, like something really bad was going to happen... Since she had this feeling, she had decided to do her best in both her studies and protecting Eri no matter what cost. Originally, Izuku and Mina wanted to grab Aizawa's attention before class and tell him about what Bakugo said. However, they knew not to interrupt class for such a thing and decided to wait until after school to approach either Aizawa or Nezu.
Aizawa started the class while having Eri next to him. "Now class, I know it's been quite a while, but the school doesn't want you to start getting rusty, so for today, we'll mainly be having you guys focus on battle training." Aizawa quickly looked at Ashido and Midoriya. "Eri will be staying by my side during your matches, so don't worry about her." Both students nodded in confirmation. "Everyone meet by Training ground G in 15 minutes. Come on, Eri. Let's go, and don't worry, Midoriya and Ashido will be there soon, they just need to get dressed."
Eri quickly understood and nodded "Okay," she looked to her parents "I'll see you soon!" Eri yelled with a smile.
Mina and Izuku waved to her smiling while the class tried not to lose it over Eri's cuteness.
-At Principal Nezu's office
Principal Nezu was currently going over footage from some of the dorms when the former number one hero All Might/Toshinori opened to door.
All Might closed the door quietly "You asked to see me, Nezu?"
Nezu nodded and used his paw to motion that he wanted All Might to come closer. Once there, he saw a paused video of Izuku looking at his phone. The camera was focused in as much as it could be, but it couldn't identify what was written.
All Might was clearly confused "What is this?"
"That's what I'd like to know." He turned to All Might. "Erasure head has already sent me a text asking if Izuku was okay, apparently he's been making subtle movements indicating nervousness. However, that's not all. Upon reviewing the footage from the cameras we've placed in the house. We've noticed that after reading a text, Izuku seems very worried."
"Wait... You put cameras in their room?! Isn't that an invasion of privacy?!" All Might panicked.
Nezu looked at All Might "You thought I put two teenagers into one room without supervision? Ho ho! All Might! That's quite silly." He put his paws together "Now it's not that I don't trust those two, far from it. However, both of them have a history of refusing to tell us when one of them is hurting. I felt the need to plant a small camera, away from their bed and focused on the rest of the room. Now, being a hidden security camera, it doesn't have the best quality. This of course puts us at a disadvantage. However, I would like you to meet with Midoriya after school and ask him about this text."
All Might was still wrapping his head around this "I dunno, Nezu. It might be something personal. I don't want to bring this up right in front of his classmates."
"Would you rather I call him here?" Nezu asked.
A sigh escaped All Might's lips "I guess that would be better but... If I may, can you please consider taking that security camera out of their room?"
Now it was Nezu's turn to sigh "I want to protect all my students, All Might... That includes young Eri... She had a nightmare you know."
All Might was suddenly worried "Is she okay?"
"She's fine now, but I want to know what happens when it does. Remember, we didn't build this house for them to live happily ever after in. This house is for Eri ... In more ways than one" Nezu spoke seriously.
All Might nodded and as he left said "... Just... Please consider it."
Meanwhile at Training ground G
All the students entered the observation room to see Aizawa sitting at a computer chair with all the students' names on the screen.
"We'll be doing 2 on 2 battles today. I want you guys to focus on teamwork as well as efficiency. You guys have 20 minutes to locate and take down your opponents. Now, check the board to see who your partnered with." Aizawa said calmly.
Mina was looking for her name and hoped it was next to Izuku but found his name next to Tsuyu. "Darn..." Once she found her name though she was convinced it had to be a lie. "... Why..."
Team H
Mina Ashido and Katsuki Bakugo
Mina tried to remain calm and looked to Aizawa, she was about to ask him to change it, but he had already started the randomizer to see who would be facing who.
Team H vs Team B
Mina quickly looked and saw that Team B was Jirou and Shoji. She let out a breath of relief "Thank goodness it's not Izuku..."
She suddenly felt a hand on her shoulder and saw it was Izuku's "Good luck, Mina" he said with a smile.
She couldn't help but kiss his cheek "You too, Izu~"
After that, they went off to their teammates to strategize. She saw her match was listed 3rd so she had some time to try and talk to Bakugo. Once she found him, she knew... Right away. It was a bad idea, the look on his face said three things. I'm angry, I hate you, and don't talk to me. Mina was still bold though and approached him.
"Hey. Let's try to strategize, okay?" Mina said plainly.
"Don't talk to me..." Came Bakugo's response.
Mina was trying to keep her cool "Look, we gotta work together, okay? You heard Aizawa."
"Yeah, and there will be no problems as long as you shut your mouth and watch me wreck the other team" Bakugo said getting more and more upset.
Mina was about to get angry at him, but she felt someone pull her leg.
"Mommy! Look! Daddy's on screen!" Eri said while pointing at the screen.
Mina instantly smiled and picked her up. "Looks like daddy's match is first! Let's watch him, okay?" She began walking closer to the screen.
Eri nodded "Yeah!"
Bakugo watched their interaction and grit his teeth in rage. 'Why! Why am I supposed to apologize to this bitch! This isn't a fucking daycare! Leave the damn kid at home!'
During Izuku's match Eri was fascinated by Asui. "Mama, that girl is jumping super high and stretching her tongue out really far! She's just like a frog!"
Mina chuckled "I know sweetie~. It's her quirk. She can basically do anything a frog can. Pretty cool huh?"
Eri nodded while her eyes were focused on the screen "Super cool..." She nearly whispered.
Everyone enjoyed Eri's commentary throughout the match, it was nice to see childlike wonder sometimes and remember that this didn't always have to be as serious as it was.
After Izuku's match he and Asui came back and we're greeted by Eri. "Daddy! You were so cool!" She jumped at him knowing he'd catch her. Once he caught and hugged her, Tsuyu let out a chuckle at the scene.
Eri turned to Tsuyu shyly "O-Oh yeah. You were super cool too M-Miss."
Asui smiled wide "Thank you, Eri chan"
"Eri, this is Asui-san." Izuku said to Eri gently "And don't worry. She's really nice."
"For the last time, call me Tsu... Plus, we met before" Tsuyu insisted.
Izuku froze for a sec "S-sorry. Still getting used to that."
Eri slowly reached one hand to Asui "N-Nice to meet you again" she said shyly.
Asui gently took it and shook it "Remember, you can call me Tsu, too." said the smiling frog.
Eri immediately felt that Asui wouldn't harm her, and she held onto Tsuyu's hand "... Big sis, Tsu."
Tsuyu was still for a moment until her face shifted into the most joyful smile she had. "You're adorable, Eri chan."
Izuku smiled at Eri, he was proud of her! Reaching out to others was really hit or miss but he was happy she liked Tsuyu, Tsuyu was always very dependable and kind, so it was great they were getting along.
'I wonder... She seems to get along with our parents, everyone in class, and teachers. I wonder if she's actually afraid of people or just scared of the people from her past. That's definitely a question that can be solved by observing but would therapy really be necessary?' Izuku mumbled.
"Daddy! You're doing it again!" Eri's voice yelled as it woke Izuku up.
"Oh. Sorry." Izuku rubbed the back of his head.
The matches kept going and Mina was still trying to talk to Bakugo, but to no avail. Aizawa then approached them "Mina. Go warm up for your match, let me talk to him."
Mina nodded and walked off. Bakugo and Aizawa exchanged piercing gazes to each other.
"I thought we talked about this. You know I can classify what you just did as a form of bullying right?" Aizawa said flatly.
Bakugo only groaned in response.
Aizawa's eyes narrowed "Don't give me a reason to bring you back to the principals, Bakugo" Aizawa walked back to the chair and watched the rest of the match as Bakugo struggled with his own internal debates.
Finally, the 3rd match began, and Mina and Katsuki stepped on the rocky battlefield. Neither said a word to one another but kept walking, waiting to come across their opponents.
Suddenly Bakugo sidestepped away from Mina. At first, she wondered why until she saw a boulder come flying at her! She barely dodged it but kept walking.
"Hey! Give a girl a warning next time!" Mina yelled only to get no response from Bakugo.
Shoji and Jirou were using their wit to combat their opponents. Jirou had plugged her jacks into the ground and tried to measure out the distance of the Team H based on the vibrations of their footsteps then gave instructions to Shoji on how far to throw the big rocks they found. Once they got closer through, they decided to split up and sneak attack.
Mina and Bakugo kept looking around piles of rocks but found nothing. Suddenly though, Jirou jumped from the top of a small pile of rocks and tried to kick Mina who quickly noticed and used her acid to slide away to a safe distance.
Bakugo was about to attack her, but Shoji trapped him from behind with a full Nelson and tightened it, only to then quickly turn it into a full Nelson slam on the hard ground. Bakugo was immediately annoyed and rolled away as soon as he could with a now, aching spine.
Mina continued to use her speed to avoid Jirou's attacks and finally try some of her own. Mina went for a quick clothesline to take her down, but Jirou ducked and punched her in the gut, causing Mina to recoil a bit. During Mina's recovery however, Jirou decided to roundhouse kick Mina on the side of the head, causing her more recoil.
Bakugo threw an explosion in Shoji's direction only for him to cover himself with his arms. He took damage and was sent back a few feet but kept his eyes on the prize and allowed Bakugo to charge again. Shoji sidestepped Bakugo's leaping punch and caught him from behind only to then deliver a powerful German suplex to the fiery hothead.
In the observation room, Aizawa was unimpressed with Bakugo and Mina. Eri got worried when Mina got hurt but Izuku assured Eri that her mommy was pretty tough.
Shoji pounced on Bakugo while he was getting up and caught him in a guillotine submission hold. Bakugo struggled and punched him, trying to escape but once Shoji wrapped his massive legs around Bakugo's midsection it was next to impossible. Shoji then looked to Jirou and nodded his head, giving a signal of some sort.
As Mina charged Jirou, the rocker plugged her jacks into her amp boots and sent tremendously loud sound waves that reached both Mina, Bakugo and Shoji, whose extra arms covered the spot on his head where ears would be.
Mina covered her ears but was still fighting against the sound until she got an idea. She quickly threw globs of non-lethal acid at Shoji's arms. Once they connected Shoji's grip immediately loosened and he tried to get the acid off. Bakugo however, still weakened from the choke hold used his explosions to launch toward Jirou and topple her, cutting off the noise. Bakugo then shifted his weight, so he was on top of her with one hand holding her down and the other ready to fire an explosion in her face.
Mina took this opportunity to slide toward Shoji while picking up intense speed from her quirk and tackle him. Shoji wasn't going to fall but when he felt Mina's hands burning the back of his knees they buckled and he fell with Mina still standing tall, ready to attack once more.
"That's enough." Aizawa said over the intercom. "Team H wins." This led to cheers from Eri in the observation room.
Upon hearing this, Mina quickly let her guard down and offered to help Shoji up, an offer he accepted.
Mina smiled at him "Great work out there!"
Shoji nodded "You too. I might have countered you if not for your speed."
"Bakugo! Let her up!" Aizawa said over the intercom.
After hearing that, Mina and Shoji looked to Bakugo who was now standing over Jirou and stepping on her arm. Jirou was groaning in pain trying to get out.
"Bakugo! Stop!" Mina yelled as she and Shoji ran to them.
Bakugo however had vengeance on his mind and took his foot off her arm then grabbed it and put her in a Kimura Lock (armlock or gyaku ude-garami) and tightened his grip.
In the observation room
Eri covered her mouth "Why is he still hurting her?"
"Bakugo!" Izuku yelled at the screen.
"What the hell are you doing man!" Kirishima added.
"Let go of her!" Kaminari and Momo yelled.
"Mister Aizawa! Please, do something!" Tokoyami asked their teacher. However, as he looked to the chair. Aizawa was already out the door to stop him.
Back on the battlefield
Mina was still running but suddenly remembered to use her acid to speed up. Once Bakugo saw this he turned to Jirou and tightened his grip even more and mumbled something only she could hear but she couldn't focus on it because, "GAAAAAHHHH!!!", ... It was too late. Bakugo had broken Jirou's arm.
The observation room went silent, the class couldn't believe what just happened! Bakugo had willingly broken the bones of a fellow classmate. Izuku reached for Eri to cover her eyes only to notice she wasn't there. That realization snapped him out of it, and he began to look for her.
Mina had finally reached Bakugo and tried to pry his grip off of Jirou arm as Jirou began to cry while screaming in pain. Jirou had never felt this... hopeless, this vulnerable, it was the worst. she just wanted it to end.
Mina's heart was slowly breaking for her friend, as she continued to try and break Bakugo's grip, but it was rock solid. It wasn't until Shoji got there that some progress finally started being made. However, Bakugo still kept his grip! Even with Shoji's six arms he only managed to unlock Bakugo's legs from Jirou's waist. Finally, Aizawa came in and made Mina move so he could hit a quick blow to Bakugo's neck and knock him out.
Bakugo instantly lost consciousness and was quickly and carefully separated from Jirou who was now clutching her arm in pain. Aizawa quickly examined it and could see it was broken. He reached for his phone and quickly called recovery girl "Hey. Sorry to bother you but I'm going to need medical assistance to bring a student to your office, ASAP."
"Big sis!!!" Everyone turned to see Eri running to them.
"Eri?! You should be with Daddy right now!" Mina said in a worried state.
Eri looked at Jirou and quickly went to her "Big sis..."
Jirou looked at Eri and tried to calm down, even as tears of pain fell from her eyes "Hehe... It's okay Eri. I'm gonna be fine... But it'll take some time..."
Eri noticed the look on Jirou's face. She looked sad, like what happened was her fault. Eri then got a quick idea and put her hands on Jirou's arm gently.
"Eri, don't touch it!" Mina said in a panic.
"S-She's fine!" Jirou reassured "She's not hurting it" a light then started to come from Eri's horn as it grew slightly "Actually it's... Starting to feel a bit better?"
Aizawa was carefully watching as Eri tried to reverse Jirou's wound. Jirou at one point bit her lip but she didn't look like she was in a lot of pain.
"I... I think it's getting better!" Jirou yelled.
Eri however had a hard time stopping. "Ah! I'm... trying... to-"
Aizawa immediately erased her quirk and just in time too, Eri looked lightheaded.
Mina quickly grabbed Eri as she groaned with unease. Eri looked to her adoptive mother in a tired way "I just ... Wanted to help..."
Aizawa went to Jirou "How does it feel?"
"It's kinda better but... I still can't move it. I don't know what she did, but she would've had to keep going" Jirou said through her annoying pain as she wiped her tears.
"It would have been too dangerous..." Aizawa looked to the unconscious Bakugo, the lightheaded Eri and the broken armed Jirou and sighed "Why can't I have a normal class..."
Authentic Author Man "So... This was... I feel like it's my first step into writing action and I think it's good but feel free to give me your guys two cents!"
