All: Things are getting more consistent, so I will try writing more.

To all readers who have continued to read, thank you I have a full time job of almost 50 hours a week. I write for fun not pay so it is not professional I just want to share my imagination with others. Also I was not an English major. I hope you all enjoy. And thank everyone who reads and follows. Also thanks again to my Beta reader otherwise I probably would have a huge number of negative comments coming my way.

Also there won't be tension once a girl is in the circle, but yes the girls will be possessive. Nami is just nervous along with Luffy he values the girls a lot, not wanting to lose them. Everything will relax a lot after they break the ice, or the bed. Lol

Hero100100: On a pm I received he or she commented on Usopp's slingshot being valuable. After considering it I agreed so I accommodated. If I feel input is valuable or helps keep the story to caricature I will give it valuable thought. I like the new Usopp who without the consideration would be a different build in ability yet same personality as is in this chapter.

[ Luffy's POV]

We are not too far from the shore where I see a cliff and the path leading you up. As Zoro and I dragged the boat onto the shore far enough where it wouldn't be seen. We start walking up the path to the top of the cliff. One side drops down the cliff the other the cliff wall.

As we got near the top we spotted a young adult. He has a satchel hanging from his left shoulder ending in a small bag under his right hand at his hip. It also has 4 pouches over the front of the strap, a belt with 4 more pouches two on each side visible in the front, green cargo pants with more pockets, and something mechanical on his left forearm. He has defined muscles of someone who exercises, and is holding himself with confidence. The most notable thing is his long nose giving away himself as he speaks. "That is far enough. If you have ill intent then I have to ask you to leave. Pirates."

I smiled at him as Zoro readied his sword. Before I can say anything Usopp snapped his left arm up. The mechanical device flipped up revealing a souped up four string slingshot. While this was going on he reached into a pouch pulling out a lead pellet loaded it and had it drawn back ready to let go. All this happened faster than most men can draw a gun.

With my head down I spoke in a gravelly voice. "Are you prepared to go the distance? Having drawn your weapon, are you prepared to use it?" Usopp answered. "To protect the people I care about. Yes." I raised my head smiling at him. "Good I am glad you are ready Usopp." Usopp smiled and lowered his slingshot, putting the pellet away, folding his slingshot back up and walking up to us yelling over his shoulder. "Get out here boys! I want all of you to meet the man I am waiting for. The Griffin."

As he said that three kids ran out of the bushes yelling in unison almost. "Is it him? For real? You're pulling our leg again right?" As they ran up beside Usopp he walked towards us smiling. While everyone calmed down Nami was giggling at the kids. I changed my clothes to my armor with a mask. The kids went wide eyed as I spoke. "Now I don't know what stories he has told you but I have things I need to do in the East Blue so. You better keep quiet for at least a month. Got it!" I dropped the mask Glaring at them as they hid behind Usopp. "Yes sir!!" Nami can barely keep from a full blown laughing fit as Usopp said. "Their cool captain. They know you saved Kaya's parents."

I changed back to regular clothes. This time to look the part I am dressed in an expensive blue button up shirt, khaki pants, leather belt, and suede shoes. Nami looked at me then yelled into the sky. "You hear me dad next time I want clothes that change like that! You hear me!" Nami looked back down to see the three kids looking at her funny while Kuina laughed behind her head. Nami instantly Glaring at the kids as they once again hid behind Usopp I tell them. "Never get between a woman and clothing kids."

As everyone relaxed I ask Usopp. "So how is Kaya, Ceanya, and Martin? Also didn't your father leave you a nice rifle and pistol?" Usopp smiled as we started walking up the hill. "Martin and Ceanya went on a business trip and to by some presents for Kaya. Unfortunately the Merry was attacked, they are fine it outrun the pirates but it is getting repaired in loguetown. However because of it they will not get back before we leave. Kaya is at the mansion and told me to bring you and whoever is with you there when you arrive. Thanks for saving her parents I hate to think what she would be like if they died."

Usopp smiled, turning to the kids. "Ok take your posts and keep watch. No fibbing, but report to me if there is something suspicious." As they go off in different directions we hear. ( eye eye captain!) Usopp smiled as he spoke again. "They are a good warning system for trouble. As far as the guns are concerned, they are in good hands. When Martin came back he took me under his wing, so to speak. He quickly realized my true asset is my creativity. Through chemistry and innovative creations we came up with what I have now which is far better than a pistol."

As we walked down a path skirting the edge of the town Kuina asked. "How so? It is just a slingshot." Usopp laughed and had to stop putting his hands on his knees. When he regained his composure he answered. "At a glance you would think that. However the bands are extremely strong, so much faster and with 4 strands more accurate. It rotates slightly with my wrist along with other features. Can shoot as far or farther than most rifles, and just as fast. The main advantage is the diversity of the ammunition. Martin helped with chemistry in addition to lead. I now have explosive, oil, fire, smoke, itching powder and foam in easy to reach pouches. The more specialized pellets are in my bag it just takes longer to get to them."

"Foam? What use could that have?" Zoro asked as Usopp pulled out two pellets the size of marbles from different pockets. Aiming at a nearby branch Usopp fired at one branch 2 inch thick, shattering it. As it fell he fired the second pellet at the middle of the branch it knocked the branch into another branch it was falling beside. After empact something expanded clinging to the two branches flowing around them, but creeping out like tentacles for two seconds then slowed for one more second till stopping looking like a weird blob tentacle thing 2 inches thick over half the two branches. Usopp spoke, gesturing to the pieces of wood. "Pull them apart. If you can."

Zoro walked up and pulled as we watched. As he pulled they wouldn't come apart finally the branch still attached to the tree broke off. As it did Usopp spoke with a smile. "It is as hard as brass, light weight, and it floats. Martin made it for emergency repairs on his ships after last year incase of hull breach. It seals holes and can float. He made a pack that has an applicator to be used for hull breach on his ships. He showed me how to not only make it but also how to put the foam into a pellet for delivery."

Zoro spoke again as we resumed walking up to a gate. "I take it back, foam can be useful." As we got to the gate of the mansion Usopp knocked, then a man I recognized opened the door speaking. "Mr Usopp, good to see you. Everything ok we weren't expecting you until lunchtime. And who are your friends? " He kept looking me over as everyone entered. Then his eyes got wide. "Are my eyes deceiving me? Is it you sir?" I smile as I answer. "It is me, Kevin right? Why aren't you on the ship with Martin?"

Kevin spoke while extending his hand to shake. "Me and Helena got together after that and she is 7 months pregnant right now. I didn't want to be away from her so I asked to stay and help around here this trip. Helena will be so glad to see you. If that is ok?" As I shake his hand I tell him. "Yes, just remember I might be starting out but I still can't flaunt that I am here. Or people I care about might get hurt. Do you understand. " After shaking my hand he gives me a nod as he answers. "Very good sir, I will tell the head butlers you are here."

As he then leads us to a room with some sofas and chairs then left I look at Usopp asking. "Head butlers? I didn't think there would be more than one." Usopp snorted, then crossed his arms saying. "I wish. Martin is training a new butler to assist Merry because of his age. His name is Klahadore I can't help but feel something is off about him. Kaya and I both agree on it, unfortunately her parents want to give Klahadore a chance."

As we are discussing this two butlers walked in. Merry immediately reached his hand out to shake mine speaking up. "It is a pleasure to see you again sir. Is everything coming out for you as planned, or is there still something unfinished?" I smiled as I shook his hand answering. "Unfortunately something came up at the last minute. Giving me some unfinished business to complete when that is finished then everything will come out."

Merry smiled as he looked at my crew I spoke up. "This is my crew. Nami my Navigator. In addition Kuina, and Zoro my executive first officers." This seems to catch both butler's attention as Usopp spoke up. "Hey! What about me?" I smiled as I spoke, noticing Usopp glaring at me. "I have not had the chance to officially ask you yet so it would be rude." I see Klahadore straightening his glasses with the palm of his hand not using his fingers.

Just then the door opens to reveal two women. One middle aged woman with long hair down to her rear. And a 19 year old petite woman with blonde shoulder length hair, carrying a doctor's bag that looks a tad big for her. The bag is about 8 inches wide at the base, 12 inches long, all leather, it comes up 8 inches then has two flaps running from front to back the full length coming up another 6 that fold out with 2 leather handles one on each flap. A brass name plate is on the front at the bottom with the name Kaya on it 7 in wide by 4 in tall.

Kaya looked at me smiling then turned to the butlers. "Merry, take Klahadore and go over the roster for next month. Make sure it is complete and double checked. I want to talk with our company in private. Also send Kevin with a tray of sandwiches, our guests might be hungry." As Merry is about to speak, Klahadore interrupts. "Lady Kaya, we can not permit these ruffians to be alone with you. What if they are pirates? You could be hurt or kidnapped."

Kaya looked outraged as she answered. "Who is the lady of the house when my parents are away?!" Klahadore straightening his glasses answers. "You miss." Kaya continues still angry. "Do you think Usopp is incompetent or unable to protect me?" Klahadore Glaring at Usopp almost about to explode looks down and doesn't answer as Kaya continues. "This man is the son of a business associate my father had from before you came here. Merry, father, mother, and I trust them so you better watch your place. As future head butler I expect you to keep us safe, however the family is in charge don't forget that." As Klahadore straightened his glasses again in that weird way Merry and him left.

Once the door was shut Kaya dropped her bag running up to hug me saying. "I am so sorry. Thank you for saving father and mother. I don't know what it would have been like if that man became in charge. With dad gone he started to try to take over when they were lost at sea, but when dad came back he saw what was going on and demoted him so Merry was on equal or higher footing." Usopp's mother Bachina spoke up then. "Kaya don't smother him. Let him introduce his associates."

Kaya steps back looking at the woman looking offended. "I just wanted to thank him for saving mom and dad. I can't wait till I don't have to be so proper all the time." Getting a laugh out of everyone.

I wrap my arm around Nami telling Kaya. "This is Nami the first woman I feel in love with." As Kaya shook Nami's hand she asked. "First? There's more?" Before I could answer, Nami interrupted me. "Me and my sister laid the first claim. If anyone else wants in they will have to go through us first." Puffing her chest out as the other girls laughed.

After a few seconds Kaya saw Nami wrapped her arm tighter around my arm giving Kaya a stern look. Kaya was stunned for a second before asking. "You're serious? You're going to share him?" Nami looked nervous as she answered. "We aren't too comfortable about it, but with his devil fruit I am not sure a group of 7 or more can handle him fully if he gets really horny. With just the two of us it would be a disaster to even try. So we got to let others in." Nami looked down as I pulled her into a hug telling Nami. "You and Nojiko will always be the leaders of my pride." Pulling her chin up to stare at her face.

"Kaya a Griffin from what I have ben told from my mom well they have an extremely high sex drive. However they are extremely possessive and protective of their women. They call the women the are with a pride mating for life with their partners so I want the two women I first fell in love with in charge of my pride." I told Kaya all of this the whole time never losing eye contact with Nami as she smiled at me and we kissed. I noticed Kaya looked at Usopp who was staring back at her and Kuina staring at Zoro behind his back as he watched us.

As Bachina spoke, clearing the air. "Well it is good that Kaya's studying has progressed so far then. I believe she is ready now." I asked. "Ready for what?" As Kaya smiled nodding to Usopp who also nodded she went back grabbing her bag picking it up and turning to us announcing. "To come with you of course."

Nami looked stunned as she spoke. "What?! Do you know where we are going? What we are going to be doing? Plus we don't need a doctor, we have Luffy to heal us." Standing between Luffy and Kaya as Kaya calmly answering. "I realize that. That is why I put my studying to be a doctor on hold, and have had Bachina training me to be a paramedic. Luffy can't stop in the middle of a battle to heal people. If I can stabilize the wounded till the battle is over I can save lives. You need me."

Nami is frantically looking for a counter as she speaks again. "You aren't prepared to handle it princess. The sea will eat you up and spit you out without caring about what is left behind." As Kaya looked at me I got the feeling she wanted to do something or show something. Not feeling ill intent I nodded not knowing what she was going to do, but knowing she meant no harm to us and I assumed I wanted to make sure I wouldn't attack back or so I agreed.

With a flick of her wrist her bag twisted upward then dropped on the ground the end towards us now facing up. Seeing something spring up from the bag nobody has time to think as Kaya now has a 6 shot revolver pointed right at the bridge of Nami's nose right between her eyes. Nami is wide eyed, almost in shock.

Kuina and Zoro grabbing the hilt of their swords as Kaya spoke. "Usopp has been training me for over a year. I am an expert shot with a pistol. I have two more guns identical to this one I can carry on hip Holsters. While this remains hidden for emergencies. Add to that armament is a two shot Derringer hidden in a leg holster under my skirt." I placed a hand on Nami's shoulder to relax her as I asked my question. "Can you do it though?"

Kaya looked me in the eye answering. "To protect the person I love, and my crew. Yes most definitely." While saying this she looked over at Usopp and back to me as I asked another question. "Isn't that the pistol your father left for you Usopp?" Kaya blushing as Usopp nodded, answering back. "Kaya was adamant about coming, so with the development of my pellets. I told Kaya unless she learned to shoot a gun to protect herself I would stand against the idea." Bachina spoke up next. "I have studied medicine since you healed me, Luffy. During that time I have taught many people first aid. None have come close to what Kaya has become in a year."

I asked another question. "What do your parents think?" Kaya smiled at me answering me as she lowered the gun. "Who do you think made my bag and for Christmas gave the pistols of the same model as Usopp's so it wouldn't throw off my aim. They won't speak openly about it but they have been buying me a lot of traveling supplies and clothes this last year and taking a lot of pictures. Along with stopping their talks to set me up on dates with proper suitters and future college attendance." As I looked at the bag I noticed the plate flipped up and a barely visible holster obviously spring loaded to shoot the gun out when it lands like that.

I gave her a serious look as she now looked worried before I spoke. "I will require you to have extra training exercises on a regular basis with Nami and Nojiko in stealth to hone your skills." As I said that her face lit up with excitement while I continued. "I also expect you to train against me as the person you will sneak up on or hide from. I will warn you only one person has ever successfully achieved that on a regular basis. After all, right now if I tried I can hear your heartbeat. " Kaya actually gulped at that as I complimented her. "I think you have a valid and believable position you want to fill. So I will agree."

As I say that Kaya ran up and hugged me. Then ran over to Usopp and grabbed him in a bigger hug actually picking up her feet and spinning around him with a kiss for good luck of course.

As Kaya is placed back on the ground there's a knock at the door. Kaya spoke loudly at the door hiding the gun behind her back. "Come in." Kevin came in with a pregnant woman behind him while he was carrying a tray. Helena spoke up, holding a hand on her belly. "I hope you like the sandwiches. There isn't that much I can do right now with everything. I just wanted to thank you again and meet one of the woman who caught your heart." As she looked at Kuina and Nami. Nami moved closer to me grabbing my hand while Kuina moved away from me closer to Zoro.

Nami spoke first. "Luffy talked about me and my sister?" Helena laughed then answered. "No it was more how he avoided us on the first night along with what Lanju said on the boat ride home. I just knew he was saving himself for someone special to him. Then Lanju hated how she didn't get to see you because of her brother. The whole thing was like a fairy tale come true. Plus I got to fall in love coming back." As she gripped Kevin's hand tightly.

"Lanju? Who is Lanju?" Nami said while looking at the girl. Helena laughed before answering. Oh she is a real wildcat that one. She shredded 3 sets of Sanji her brothers clothes by the time we got back here. She was furious she missed seeing the person who saved her, Zeff, and Sanji. I think she has her eyes set on Luffy." Nami Glaring at me asking. "Anything noticeable about her?" Helena looks like the Cheshire cat as she answers. "Extremely dangerous with throwing weapons, large number of said concealed weapons, highly energetic, focused on Luffy, short skinny woman, braided blonde hair, and huge bust."

As Nami looked worried I comforted her. "Nami relax you and Nojiko will always come first. I love you." Nami took a deep breath before committing. "I know I am just insecure at times." Looking down at her modest but growing chest. I put my finger under her chin pulling her face up to look at me saying. "I think you are beautiful just the way you are." As she blushed looking at everyone she calmed down but kept her hand in mine.

We all talked for a couple of hours eating and I shared stories about Yasopp to his wife and son. Kaya goes to the bag and after a few minutes and twisting one of the feet on the bag set it down in a normal position. During the talk Kevin and Helena left because he had duties and she was getting tired. Then I spoke feeling bad as I had to ask the both of them something I didn't want to. "Usopp, Kaya I hate to ask you this but I need you to both reach into my pouch. This will show if you are demigods." As Usopp, Kaya, and Bachina looked insulted I interject before they yelled at me. "I mean no offense. My mother told me to ask everyone, there are some very good reasons. One demigods are drawn to one another either for conflicts or as an ally. Second their have been many gods that were so enamored to be with a woman they wanted to even go as far as copy their husband and appear in his place if only for one night. I pray this is not so the case that thought disgusts me to no end. And third in their world 12 years ago a demigod made them promise to take responsibility for their children as the reward for saving their world from a prophecy. He could have chosen to become a God, but instead he chose to make sure all the gods' children were acknowledged. I respect that and would help if I can. I pray you find it empty though.

All three were quiet. Usopp reached first, putting his hand inside my pouch. As everyone was nervous Usopp sighed in relief pulling out nothing. Kaya steps forward and reaches in, feeling relieved to come back empty. I tell them then. "I am glad it came back negative."

As I looked at Bachina about to say something more she interrupted me. "It is okay. There are people with so much power in this world that they not only feel they have the right to do anything on a whim. They believe that others should feel honored to have it done to them. Doflamingo for one example. I can only imagine what an actual God walking among mortals would think on the subject especially if worshipped by people. However I am grateful to find out it didn't happen." She said while smiling at me.

As she finishes there's a knock on the door as Kaya said come in. Merry enters by himself addressing us. "Tomorrow I want to show you what Martin and Ceanya had made to thank you for saving them and their crew. It is a ship like no other made especially for you and your crew, with your skills and heritage in mind. It is also for lady Kaya and Usopp to keep them safe and sound." As I was about to interrupt Kaya spoke with a smile. "It would be an insult to my family and myself if you refused. You never asked for payment or compensation of any kind, however you not only saved my parents' lives, but also secured a lucrative business partner in Zeff and the Baratie. Also swiping Usopp who my parents think of as a future son, and his own daughter without allowing him to give them a parting gift."

I am about to protest when I hear giggling beside me. Looking over I see Zoro is snickering, Nami and Kuina about to burst out laughing, Bachina and Usopp smiling like the Cheshire cats. Turning back I squinted at the two asking. "You practiced this didn't you." When Kaya nodded I sigh then continued. "Fine you win. I will accept the ship but I was hoping to rest tonight in a bed here."

As I said that Nami grabbed my arm smiling at Kaya and in an excited tone said. "I will even pay you for a room." As I looked over at her she gave the puppy dog pout to the girl. Kaya was giggling behind her hand as she answered. "Sure no charges. After all we are going to be on the same crew or family as it sounds like if you are modeling it after Shanks crew."

Turning to Merry Kaya asked. "Where is Klahadore?" Merry gave a huff crossing his arms as he answered. "After finishing the monthly roster he said he needed to meet with an old friend and left an hour ago leaving me to finish the check alone. Frankly I can't figure out what your father sees in him. If you ask me."

As we are talking there is a knock on the door. When Kaya said to enter, Kevin stuck his head in with a worried face. "Mr. Usopp I hate to interrupt but there are two of your young pirates here who are scared to death and won't leave my side until they see you or Lady Kaya." Just then the two in question pushed open the door running in grabbing Usopp. "Captain help us! / You have to stop him!" They both yelled at the same time.

Usopp and Kaya calmly talk to the two, calming them down. Usopp asked. "What has gotten you two so worried?" Ninjin spoke first. "Klahadore! But not Klahadore, his name is actually Kuro!" This rings a bell with me as I reach into my pouch pulling out a large stack of old wanted posters. Thumbing through them I finally find the correct one putting the others away. "Is this him?" I asked, showing them the old picture as they nod.

Usopp tells them as they look around scared. "He won't hurt you, we are here to protect you. Tell us from the beginning it sounds like a tall tail but after the last time you tried that I broke you of that trait. Right?" The boy frantically shook his head yes.

Piiman started telling us. "I was watching the road to the harbor town and a weird man came walking backwards sliding his feet. I thought he was strange so I followed him. He went to the other beach. Not the one we met you all at but the other one. I went to the blind that you set up to be hidden, finding Ninjin there we saw Klahadore walking up. The man called him by a different name though. Kuro." I spoke next. "Tell us everything. It is very important not to omit anything." As they looked at Usopp he nodded to them and they began.

[ The meeting ]

[ Nobody's POV ]

Jango saw Kuro walking up on the beach clearing his throat he greeted the man. "Good day captain Kuro it is good to see you well." Seeing Kuro straightening his glasses Jango quickly amended that. "I am sorry sir I forgot you didn't want me to call you that anymore. Please don't hurt me." Kuro looked on then smiled assuring Jango. "There has been a change of plans. I am not retiring. Jango."

Jango looks on confused as he asked. "What? Since when?" Kuro looks on and spoke. "A year ago I was fully set on it. However when Martin came back he had a new project. I couldn't find out about it until much later. He always had the plans locked up in his safe the whole time he and Merry worked on it. He started treating me like a common servant. Me! And that girl Kaya. Usopp was always around so trying to gain her interest was impossible. I wanted to retire, but the more I lived there I realized my life would be restricted. Sure the planning to commit murderer would be more challenging, but I learned I couldn't kill and have my way like I wanted. When they left on this last business trip I snuck into the drydock he made for that new ship, the Queen Merry."

Kuro's mouth got a smile as he straightened his glasses with his palm again, almost drooling as he spoke. "The ship is superior in every way. I would almost believe it was from water 7. With it as my flagship nothing can stop me. I will get my revenge on that family. First I will kidnap mis Kaya doing what I want with her, then when Martin and Ceanya come to rescue her I will slit her throat in front of them. That will pay them back for insulting me."

Jango got a smile then scratches his head asking. "Why did you bring both ships though. I mean for this it is overkill." Kuro shook his head before he answered. "I don't like my plans to go wrong because of unknown variables. I believed the person Martin made the ship for would show up to collect it. And as suspected they did under some ruse of old friends. I planned for someone powerful but apparently I overestimated his strength. He appears strong but carries no weapons. Even his female companion must be weak for she also has no weapons and I gave her a thorough examination with my eyes. They are no threat. The only ones that are a threat are his two bodyguards. Somehow he managed to hire the pirate hunters, which definitely would not be working for a pirate so he is probably just a rich spoiled brat. I will handle the hunters just destroy the town and everyone here by the time the marines sort through it all we will be at sea in the fastest ship in the East blue."

[ end story ]

[ Luffy's POV ]

The kids look at Usopp with pleading faces. "You won't let them kill Miss Kaya and everyone will you captain?" Usopp looked at me as I spoke first. "You don't even have to ask Usopp. And his plans are definitely about to meet an unknown variable." I look at Kuina addressing her directly. "Kuina. Did you feel that the Buggy pirates truly showed off your skills as a worthy opponent?" Kuina smiled along with Zoro answering. "No, I didn't captain."

In a stern voice I tell everyone. "Kuro is mine. No argument. We will meet them tomorrow morning. Nami I need to work on showing you how to aim, and use a wind blade effectively without using too much energy creating it." Nami gets an angry scowl on her face before speaking. "I was looking forward to sleeping with you tonight and." Stopping abruptly looking at the two kids staring at her with interest. "Snuggling up together." Nami quickly finished with a bright red face.

As everyone giggles, and the kids are looking around curiously I continue. "Zoro, Kuina stay and protect everyone I have a pirate to have a discussion with." Getting up to leave Kaya puts a hand on my arm telling me. "Tell him he is fired, along with letting him know he is not welcome here anymore."

[ Time skip ]

[ Kuro's room an hour later ]

As Kuro entered the room cutting on the light he found me sitting at his desk facing him with his claws on the desk. I see the outraged expression as he sees me there then just before he speaks he noticed his claws on the table. His expression was priceless as I cleared my throat. "I knew there was something off when you adjusted your glasses the first time I met you. I just couldn't quite place it till I heard your name. I had a fellow crew member that cleaned her face the exact same way because she had a pair of battle gloves with claws also. Though not as long as these. Hers were more like real claws, not long thin blades."
