Doctor Author "Welcome! So, it turns out that my job gives me a lot of free time... Like... A LOT of free time. So, I decided to wrap up this arc.
Nothing groundbreaking in this chapter. Just thought it would be a good way to end the arc.
Thank you guys so much for reading and I hope you enjoy the chapter.
Birds chirped as sunlight began to make it's way over the horizon. A new day with new blessings was already beginning. Most blessings however were incomparable to waking up next to Eri. All the girls were lucky enough to learn that firsthand. As soon as they all got up and ready for the day, they made their way downstairs and greeted their fellow classmates.
Mineta and Kaminari however, were discussing Eri in a discreet manner.
"Kinda weird isn't it?" Mineta started
"What's weird?" Kaminari replied
"Having a girl like Eri on school grounds. I mean, props to Midoriya for being a good guy and all but it feels weird." Mineta explained
Kaminari watched the girls make breakfast with Eri. "I see what you mean. I dunno, I kinda like it. Reminds us what we're training to protect, I guess."
"I'm glad you both see it that way." Iida interrupted, catching both of their attention. "It's nice to see you both remembering why you're here."
Mineta raised an eyebrow "Huh? All I said was it was weird. Don't get all preachy on us this early, man."
Iida almost scolded him until Tokoyami put a hand on his shoulder, clearly indicating it wasn't worth it.
Once Eri saw Tokoyami, she jumped out of her chair and ran up to him "Good morning mister!" She greeted with a smile.
"Morning Eri." Tokoyami greeted. "I take it you slept well?"
Eri nodded "Sleepovers are really fun, do you wanna sleep over at my house one day?"
"Maybe later, for now. Go eat. Your foods getting cold." Tokoyami suggested while trying not to smile. Eri nodded and was about to return to the table until the doors flew open.
Aizawa and Bakugo walked into the dorms, immediately putting everyone on edge. Most of the class got into battle ready positions... Even Kirishima.
Eri was putting on a brave face but truthfully she was quite nervous. Jirou picked up on this and gave the girl a small, comforting hug as Tokoyami stepped between them and Bakugo.
Bakugo froze, he barely had time to comprehend the weight of his guilt until Aizawa shoved him.
"March..." Aizawa commanded.
The two went upstairs leaving everyone puzzled. The class still didn't let their guard down though. They wanted to know what was happening, after all.
Bakugo however was currently grabbing a bunch of clothes while he wondered what his life would be like now. Without the chance to be a Hero, he felt like life wasn't worth living. Trying to distract himself, he wondered what his lessons with Hound dog were going to be like. Given that he had rarely seen the teacher, he assumed that he was always busy. Guess he wasn't the only one that had anger problems here.
"Hurry up." Aizawa spoke up. "I don't want this to take any longer than it should."
Bakugo sighed and grabbed other necessities he would need as he then walked back to Aizawa. Aizawa lazily guided him back to the lobby where his classmates would shoot him glares.
Bakugo could feel it as he left the building. The respect of the ones he cared about, the pride he once had as a hero...
It was gone.
Meanwhile in the Midoriya household.
A soft groan was made from the golden eyed cutie as she tried to stretch her limbs only to feel held back and notice that her boyfriends body was wrapped around hers like a spider. She smiled instantly and kissed his nose as she masterfully pried herself from his All Might-like grip.
After freeing herself she quickly got dressed and headed downstairs. 'Wonder what I should do... Could play a game... Breakfast sounds good too but I'm not that hungry...' the sound of a door closing made her snap out of her thoughts.
She looked out the front window and saw Aizawa and Bakugo leaving the 1A dorms. A certain feeling plagued her body as she balled her hands into fists. Deciding to be bold, she went out the front door and ran to them "Hey!" She yelled, getting their attention.
Aizawa and Bakugo seemed a bit surprised as Mina caught up to them. She and Bakugo then locked eyes and paused, almost as of they were waiting for the other to speak.
"Do you need something Ashido?" Aizawa asked in his monotone voice
Mina nodded then looked back at Bakugo "Listen... I don't know if you're leaving U.A. or not. But I need to get something off my chest."
Bakugo listened closely, thinking he might as well get sworn at once again before being with Hound Dog.
"... Thank you ..." Mina whispered.
Bakugo's expression softened a bit.
"Thank you for putting Izuku through the ringer, for exploding my face, for doubting it would be a good idea to bring Eri here to live with us... And thank you for fighting us." Mina sighed and smiled "Because of you. Izuku pushed harder to be a hero, he showed care for me in more ways than one and he saved the little girl that became our daughter."
Bakugo was puzzled. Mina didn't speak from hatred or rage but... Appreciation?
"And while I don't commend your actions, in fact, I REALLY dislike you for them... I do have to thank you... For giving me a better life than I could have comprehended." Mina finished
They stood there for a minute in pure silence. Bakugo needed a moment to drink all that in and make sure he heard right. He sighed "... Thanks I guess... Tell the others I'm sorry, though I doubt they'll believe me... and tell ... Jirou... I'm sorry about her arm..."
Mina nodded "Work on yourself okay?"
Bakugo nodded "Will do... See ya... Mina..."
He turned to Aizawa and nodded before they walked off in the other direction. Mina was in a bit of shock that she heard him use her real name in such a soft way. Weird, but she was happy to see him trying to improve.
"Ah. One moment Ashido." Aizawa called out, getting her attention. "At about noon, go to Principal Nezu's office with Midoriya and Eri."
Mina nodded before wondering what they needed to do at Nezu's office. Hopefully they weren't in trouble for fighting back yesterday. She remembered Izuku going through punishment with Bakugo a while back, even though he was the one to start the fight.
Following these thoughts she skipped back to her house and made breakfast while waiting for Izuku to wake up.
Once she finished though, Izuku came downstairs and caught her off guard with a hug from behind. "Eep!" Was the sound Mina let out as Izuku nuzzled into her.
"Good morning, Mina~" Deku whispered. His warm breath on her ear nearly made her collapse until she gripped one of the table chairs to regain composure.
"M-Morning, Green bean." Came her reply. "You scared me a bit." She turned around and gave him a peck on the lips "Eat up then we'll go get Eri, okay? Oh! And Principal Nezu wants to see the three of us in his office at noon."
Izuku nodded "Yes, ma'am". He then proceeded to sit down with her and eat. "You know, it kinda feels like we're a married couple..." As Izuku realized what he said, a faint blush fell across his cheeks. Mina had her mouth open, ready to eat her food until Izuku said that. "S-Sorry..."
Mina waved her hands back and forth rapidly "It's okay! D-Don't worry about it!... Marriage huh... I mean... Wow hehehe I always wanted to fall in love and get married and ... After last night... Hoo boy."
Izuku nodded "Last night was very special. I'm happy you trusted me enough for that."
Mina nodded "Ditto. Now enough of that. I want Eri, so eat food, dude~"
Meanwhile, Eri was playing Smash Ultimate with Kirishima and Kaminari. They were going easy on her of course, and it was more like a role play than a fight. Eri played Princess Zelda and made the boys try and win her over.
Kaminari / Pikachu tried to beat Kirishima / Ganondorf off the stage but Kirishima had clearly been playing more and beat him then rushed to Eri / Zelda.
Kirishima crouched by Eri in the game "I have defeated him princess!"
Eri did the cheering taunt "Good work sir! You're really good" she went over to Pikachu and crouched "it's okay little guy. You can still hangout with us as friends."
"Do I get treats?" Kaminari asked
"Of course!" Eri yelled as the guys cheered with her. The whole class enjoyed the heartwarming scene when they heard the doors open again. This time however, they saw Izuku and Mina at the entrance.
Eri gasped "Mommy!" She jumped off the couch and leapt into Mina's arms "Good morning!"
"Good morning to you too, Ericorn!" Mina chuckled as she enjoyed her daughters embrace.
Izuku smiled at the others "How did it go?"
The girls then began to tell them the events of the night and morning when Mina took a moment to tear Jirou from the others.
Jirou was a bit confused as Mina didn't really say anything to warn her they needed to talk "You good, Mina?"
Mina nodded "I talked to Bakugo once he left the dorms... He wanted me to tell you how sorry he was... and before you doubt him. Just know that I saw the weakness in his eyes. He's on his last leg and I'm pretty sure his pride is starting to leave him. Just... Wanted to let you know."
Jirou was surprised a bit "So I guess he's not kicked out... well... I believe you. Just... Don't expect me to change my heart and mind in a day. Kay?"
Mina nodded "Just thought you should know, girl."
Both girls smiled until Mina saw the time. "Oh! Izuku, let's go get ready, okay?"
Izuku nodded "Say bye, Eri."
Eri nodded and ran up to each of the students to hug their legs. Except Mineta. Upon approaching him he had this weird look in his eyes. so, she walked away. "Thank you so much! All of you!"
All students ended up hugging her back, unable to resist the little one's charms. Even Todoroki hugged the girl!
Eri then ran to her parents and waved "Bye for now!"
Izuku and Mina waved with her as they returned home and got ready.
At around noon, a car pulled up close to U.A. and the Bakugo family came out of the car to approach the building. Mitsuki looked to decimate her son after hearing what he's been doing. Masaru was trailing behind and while he was upset with his son, found no reason to make a public scene out of it.
Once Mitsuki reached the gate however, she noticed the small principal blocking her path. "Ah yes. You must be the parents of Katsuki Bakugo, yes?" Nezu said in his usual demeanour
The parents nodded, having never seen the principal of the school they were a bit shocked. They almost thought he was an assistant to the principal but remembered that same voice when he called them.
"A pleasure to meet you. I'm the principal of these educational grounds. Principal Nezu. I'd like to speak with the both of you in my office before you go to your son, is that okay?" Nezu smiled.
The parents looked to each other then agreed and nodded to principal Nezu as he took them to his office.
The family of three was already waiting outside the door of principal Nezu's office. No response from their knock left them to believe he was busy at the moment. That was until he came walking up to them with the Bakugo's behind him "My apologies. I hope you weren't waiting long." Nezu said
Izuku smiled "Just a few minutes. Also, hello Mr. Mrs. Bakugo."
Mina was taken aback 'wow. So these are explosion boy's parents huh? ... Just from the looks alone he seems to take after his mom.'
Both parents immediately bowed "We're sorry, Izuku!"
Izuku was caught off guard by their apology "S-Sorry? For what?"
Mitsuki stood straight "For all that Katsuki has been putting you guys through..."
Nezu opened the door "Now, now. Enough of that. Let's talk in my office please."
Nezu sat at his desk while the others sat in any chair they could find. "Now. The reason we are here of course, revolves around Katsuki Bakugo. We are going to put him under the care of our Lifestyle Guidance Counselor, Hound Dog, for one month. During this time, Bakugo will still be allowed to train as Hound Dog sees fit. However, he will not be allowed to engage in battle training with his classmates. Furthermore, if he decides to intentionally harm one of our students. He will be instantly expelled, and we will report to the authorities of his continuous juvenile behavior." Nezu spoke flawlessly. "These are the new rules I have laid out. Do you all agree to them?"
"W-With all due respect sir." Masaru spoke up, taking everyone, even his wife off guard "Why are you giving our boy a second chance? Don't get me wrong, we appreciate it but... After hearing about what he did, who he hurt and why... You're still willing to look the other way? I just... I don't understand..." He looked down
Mitsuki spoke up "I honestly thought this was it. I love my Katsuki but when I heard about all this... I just... Urgh I just don't understand!"
Nezu nodded while smiling, he expected this reaction. "Mr and Mrs Bakugo, please turn your attention to the three people in the room under the age of 18. Now... Ask them what you are asking me."
The adults were a bit confused, the kids were as well but they just ran with it.
Mitsuki sighed "So you three... why would you guys keep our son here?"
"Because his potential as a hero has grown more and more this past year." Izuku answered quickly "He's incredible, his skill with his quirk could fend off enemies as well as help preserve peace."
Mina nodded "He's not perfect. In fact, he's pretty terrible... But... When I think of your son, I think of someone who's passionate about whatever goal he sets before himself. In fact, he'll do anything to see his goals through. I just think he needs to be aimed in the right direction. Plus, I saw it in his eyes today. He looked... Weak, broken almost. Like the only thing keeping him afloat was the promise of something new for himself."
Both teens looked at Eri "... Well... He's a butt face... But ... I believe in my mama and papa!"
Mina and Izuku smiled at that.
Masaru scratched his chin "Speaking of, where are your parents?"
Eri smiled and pointed to the two teens next to her, happily.
Mitsuki grabbed Izuku by the front of his shirt "IZUUUUKUUUU!!!" She began shaking him back and forth while speaking very fast. "WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?! WHEN WERE YOU GOING TO TELL ME THAT YOU ADOPTED A LITTLE GIRL! DON'T GET ME WRONG I'M HAPPY FOR YOU BUT YOU SUDDENLY HAVE A CHILD AND DON'T LET ME SEE THEM?! AND YOU CALL MY SON CRUEL?! (sarcasm) YOU ARE IN FOR QUITE THE LESSON YOUNG MAN!"
Eri started hitting Mitsuki's leg in a panic "Let go of my daddy! Let him go right now!!!" She was trying not to get emotional but failed and started crying.
Mitsuki immediately noticed her and felt a two ton weight drop on her heart as she crouched to her "I'm so so sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. I was just caught off guard." She panicked.
Mina quickly brought Eri into her lap and hugged her "Shhhh it's okay Eri, she's not gonna hurt daddy."
Mitsuki sat next to her husband. "I'm... I'm sorry."
Mina smiled "It's okay. She's just very emotional." Mina's mood then turned dark "She's the victim of horrible abuse. Also, don't scare my baby again unless you like the idea of being 6 feet underground..."
That took everyone in the room off guard, even Izuku... But then she turned back to normal.
Nezu chuckled "Anywho. Do you see my point, Mr and Mrs Bakugo? They see potential in your son. As do I! I feel it would be pointless to let him go right now. Especially since time with Hound Dog proves to be extremely helpful to other students."
Mitsuki sighed. Masaru however smiled "I'm glad you all have so much faith in my boy... I hope it doesn't go unrewarded... You have my trust and approval."
"Same here." Mitsuki added "But ... May I speak with my son?"
Nezu nodded "Of course!" He looked at the two students and child "You are dismissed."
They got up and gave their goodbyes as they left the parents with Nezu.
"I'll take you to him now... I do ask though, that you don't antagonize him, please." Nezu said as he walked to the door
Mitsuki nodded seriously "Understood."
Being guided by Nezu, the parents took in the sights of the prestigious school until they finally made it to the teachers rooms and knocked on the door labeled 'Pro Hero : Hound Dog (Ryo Inui)'.
Nezu smiled "Hound Dog? I've brought the young man's parents. They wish to see him."
The door opened to reveal a tall man in cargo pants and a flannel shirt. "Hello, a pleasure to meet you both. U.A. teachers rarely do these kinds of things but I hope you trust me with guiding your son down a more righteous path."
The parents didn't really know Hound Dog, but he seemed like a respectful man.
"You have our trust." Masaru said.
"Help him... Please..." Mitsuki said, sounding choked up.
Hound Dog moved out of the way and allowed them inside to see Bakugo on the floor playing Solitaire.
"Hey..." Bakugo greeted solemnly.
His greeting was met by his parents nearly falling onto their son and hugged him.
Mitsuki began crying "Please... Please don't throw this away... I'm sorry if we raised you wrong at some points but... Please... Fight for your dream... The right way."
Masaru grunted "You have so many people still behind you... even Izuku... And I know we're not here but... We're a phone call away. Don't hesitate to call us if something is troubling you... We love you Katsuki..."
Katsuki broke, he shattered his pride and embraced his parents whole heartedly "I'm sorry... I'm sorry... I'm sorry..." He kept repeating these words until he lost his voice.
His parents kissed his head and hugged one last time.
"We believe in you, Katsuki." Mitsuki smiled.
"And we always will." Masaru finished.
Katsuki wiped his eyes and tried calming down. Already upset with himself for crying so easily. "... I won't let you down..."
At the Midoriya household.
"And then we played truth or dare! It was super fun! We also had snacks that were super yummy!" Eri exclaimed
Mina chuckled "Ahhh midnight snacks. Glad you enjoyed it Eri! I'm sure you'll have plenty more sleepovers!"
"Yay!" Eri cheered.
Izuku couldn't be happier watching his girlfriend and adopted daughter bounce off each other in conversation. It was entertaining as much as it was heartwarming to him.
Soon after, Eri began playing with her plushies while Izuku and Mina relaxed on the couch.
"Look at her go." Izuku giggled.
"Not gonna lie, if I had seen the three of us in public ... I could believe Eri was ours." Mina grinned.
"R-Really? What makes you say that?" Izuku replied.
Mina smiled "Her horn could easily come from my family, as well as her wellspring of energy."
Izuku tilted his head "Aren't all kids like that?"
"No. My brand of energy is unique!" Mina stated proudly. "Oh yeah. For you I'd say she has a lot of the same facial features you do. The big round eyes, the same amount of baby fat on your cheeks. It's all similar!"
Izuku blushed "I-I guess I see what you mean..."
As they watched Eri play, Izuku noticed that Eri used the Mina plush to do the same move she did on Bakugo a day ago.
"...Hey Mina? What was that one move you used on Bakugo again?" Izuku asked flatly, already knowing the answer.
Mina blushed a bit "Took you long enough to notice hehe... It was One for Midori - Girlfriend's Wrath."
Izuku looked at her oddly "Why was ... That... Your choice of words?"
"What's wrong with it?" Mina teased
"N-Nothing just ... Flattering I guess hehehe" Izuku chuckled
"Hey, you're not the only one here with super strength! Your quirk One For All, is you using power to protect others. But One For Midori uses the amount of power in my love for you to deal devastating damage!" Mina exclaimed as she pumped her fist.
Izuku was taken aback again "... I'm so lucky to have you."
"And me!" Eri jumped into his lap and smiled.
Mina smiled wide "One For Midori! Love Leap!" She yelled as she tackled Izuku onto the couch with Eri.
Izuku calmed down and pet their heads "I love you guys"
Eri smiled "I love you too mommy and daddy!"
Mina smiled and kissed Eri's horn "Love you, unicorn girl~"
Mina then kissed Izuku calmly but filled the kiss with love "And I love you, Midori~"
