Welcome back to Uncharted Beyond Realms. Last time, Nathan Drake and Sully arrived in the Swamps, and things immediately took a turn for the worse. Since they immediately saw the Malefic Order is already here, and they're ready to burn the Swamp to the ground if necessary. Nathan Drake and Sully realize they need to pick up the pace and find this thing. But we're not picking up there. There's another person we need to catch up with. What are we getting into? (Our scene resumes on Warfang's streets, where Elena is looking around, trying to find Cynder.)

Elena: You'd think Cynder would stand out in a crowd like this.

(After a few minutes of glancing around, thinking every Guard might be her target, Elena finally spots Cynder at one of the market stalls, picking up a parcel of vegetables.)

Elena: (Seeing Cynder) Cynder! Hey!

Cynder: (Seeing Elena) Oh, it's you.

Elena: (Caught off guard slightly) Okay that was chillier than I expected.

Cynder: Well, since your husband accused me of what amounts to treason, I'm not really sure I want to see what his wife is going to say.

Elena: I just wanted to talk with you.

Cynder: About what?

Elena: Heard you and Spyro had a pretty nasty spat.

Cynder: Guessing Nathan told you. No surprise, since his whole accusation kind of lead to it.

Elena: Yeah, and the screaming was clear enough from where Sully and I were.

Cynder: Your point?

Elena: I know Nate pissed you off, believe me, he's done the same to me on numerous occasions.

Cynder: Then it seems we're both annoyed with the men in our lives.

Elena: And that's the other thing I wanted to talk with you about.

Cynder: (Now really annoyed) Don't lecture me about my relationship with Spyro. It just looks like we weren't meant to be. How can I stay with someone who can't understand the basic concept of letting one's mate find their happiness?

Elena: Come on, I doubt that's the case. I'm sure he understands it...

Cynder: Then why has he stood in the way of my career every chance he got?

Elena: It sounds like he just wanted to protect you.

Cynder: Then I'll tell you what I told him. I don't need protection. From those who want me dead or anyone else.

Elena: Cynder, please, hear me out.

Cynder: I already have. What more could you say to try and change my mind?

Elena: That I agree with you. Spyro went too far in this. But based on how he decided to give you your space, it seems he's realized this. But I'm asking you to realize his end of the spectrum.

Cynder: I already do.

Elena: You think you do, but I'm really not sure.

Cynder: (Rolls her eyes, then sarcastically as she turns away) Then enlighten me. What am I missing?

Elena: The fact that you both survived fighting in a war as children.

(At that moment, Cynder pauses, thinking about this new perspective on everything that's happening.)

Elena: Cynder, you've known for a lot longer than I have that Spyro lost a lot in the war. A lot of people he cared about, including his mentor who he learned after the fact was his father. Yes, he's got his adoptive family, but in his mind, that includes you. He just didn't want to lose you. Did he express it in the wrong way? Absolutely 100% yes. But that's the way he shows his love for someone, by protecting them. I'm sure of it.

(It seems this is the first part of the conversation Cynder's actually heard, and only now has it sunk in what Spyro was doing. She realizes in an instant that Elena is right. That's the only explanation for everything that's happened that makes any sense, and she jumped to conclusions so quickly that she completely overlooked it.)

Cynder: By the Ancestors... how did I not see that?

Elena: You coped well with what happened, I guess you just assumed Spyro had too.

Cynder: I've been so blind this whole time... (Finally turns around and looks Elena in the eye) Thank you, Elena, for opening my eyes.

Elena: Just doing what I do.

Cynder: I've got to go.

Elena: Where are you headed?

Cynder: To make up with the love of my life.

Elena: Do you know where he is?

Cynder: Only one place he could have gone. He must've gone back to the Swamps, probably talking this out with his parents and Sparx.

Elena: (Remembering where Nathan Drake is) Oh, shit.

Cynder: (Caught off guard) What's going on?

Elena: That's where the final pendant is! Nate and Sully are already there by now!

Cynder: What?! The guys are walking into a trap, I'm sure of it. (Spreads her wings) Hop on, we haven't a moment to lose!

(Not wasting a second, Elena hops onto Cynder's back and the two take off towards the Swamps)

Cynder: I'll drop you off near Spyro's childhood home, you warn him and his folks. I'll go after Nate.

Elena: Good idea.

(And as the girls take flight towards the Swamps, our scene ends for today)

And that looks like a good spot to wrap up for today. So, it looks like Elena managed to open Cynder's mind to what Spyro was trying to do all this time.
