"Tea my lady?" Mr Popo asks carrying over a tray to Midori-ko who was already nose deep in a book.
Midori-ko had made herself comfortable in Kami's library and had found a table next to a window where she could see Goku training.
" Yes please." Midori-ko smiles at Mr Popo
" I made a blueberry tea I hope it's to your liking my lady." Mr Popo smiles
" I'm sure it'll be great." Midori-ko tells him
" Kami would like me to remind you that you don't have to get started on your studies today." Mr. Popo tells her setting down a tea cup "Considering it's your first day here."
" I don't mind." Midori-ko says "I'm excited to get started." She sat down the book as Mr Popo poured the tea in the cup "It smells great."
" Thank you." Mr Popo smiles " I brought cream and sugar to go with it." Mr Popo sets down a smaller tray with tea set sized cream and sugar containers
" Thank you very much." Midori-ko smiles
" I'll let you get back to your studies." Mr Popo says before setting the tea pot down and walking away
Midori-ko added the desired amount of cream and sugar before taking the first sip of the tea.
" So can you turn into a dragon?" Goku's voice came out of nowhere as Midori-ko was drinking her tea.
Midori-ko held her lips tightly as to not spit all over Kami's books of the world.
Swallowing she looks over to see Goku peering through the window there was no glass on the window so Goku was able to lean almost inside.
" Hello Goku, you spooked me." Midori-ko sighs 'He's lucky he's cute.' Midori-ko thought to herself
" Sorry about that." Goku leans his chin on his hand "So can you turn into a dragon or not?"
" Well yes." She nods
" What color are you? Are you as big as Shenron?" Goku asks
" Heh I'm the same color as my hair, red." Midori-ko points to her head
" Wow that sounds beautiful." Goku smiled "So does that mean Shenron has green hair?" Goku ponders
" I suppose if he had a human form." Midori-ko says
" Have you met Shenron?" Goku asks
"Ah no." Midori-ko shook her head "It's a rare occasion when people get to meet him." Midori-ko says
" I've met him three times well two technically I only heard him the first time." Goku shares
" That's amazing." Midori-ko says"So that means you've gathered the dragon balls a few times."
" Oh yeah." Goku nods "So are you as big as Shenron?"
" Ah no you see I'm still growing but someday I'll be able to control my size in my truest from." She shares "Right now I'm about the size of a draft horse."
" That's so cool." Goku smiled "Man I'm hungry." Goku sighs
" I'm a little hungry myself." Midori-ko says
" Come on then I'll make us some lunch." Goku hops in through the window and into the library
" Okay." Midori-ko nods completely distracted. "So enough about me Goku." Midori-ko stood
" Huh?"
" Let's talk about your tail." Midori-ko smiles walking up to his side
" My tail?" Goku asks as he started towards the kitchen
" Yes are you a Oozaru?" Midori-ko asks following him
" A what now?" Goku asks
" You know a giant ape." Midori-ko explains
" Ah no I'm just a regular boy." Goku smiled
" With a monkey tail." Midori-ko raised an eyebrow
" It proves very useful like a third hand." Goku says
" I bet."
" I made a bunch of onigiri earlier." Goku said going to Kami's fridge " It should hold you over while I whip us up something." Goku tells her while Midori-ko sat at the table
" Wow those look great Goku." Midori-ko smiles as he set the onigiri in front of her
" Thanks." He nods "Do you want me to warm those up for you?"
" Well I've never had onigiri before." Midori-ko admits
" Really?" Goku asks going to the stove
" My father doesn't let us have food from Earth Realm." Midori-ko says reaching for an onigiri
" Well I'll have to change that." Goku looks back at Midori-ko and winks getting her cheeks to burn.
" Thank you." Midori-ko says before focusing on the onigiri.
Midori-ko wasn't expecting to have a sudden crush on someone when she went to study about Earth Realm.
The first bite of the onigiri was sweet and savory. "Oh that's good." Midori-ko covered her lips as she spoke
" You like it?" Goku asks putting noodles in a pot
" This is so good." Midori-ko points at the onigiri before taking another bite
" I'm glad you like it." Goku smiles getting Midori-ko to blush again and a fuzzy feeling in her stomach
" I could eat those all day Goku." Midori-ko smiles, something about saying his name felt good
" Heh just wait until I cook you my famous noodle bowl." Goku tells her
" Oh I'm ready." Midori-ko wipes her mouth with a napkin
It was silent for a few minutes when Goku asks something.
" Midori-ko?"
" Hmm?" Midori-ko looks up with a mouthful of onigiri
" What does betrothed mean?" Goku asks stirring the pot he was cooking in
" A promise that a marriage will take place." She explained after swallowing "Why do you ask?"
" I've never heard that word before." Goku says turning towards her letting the noodles boil before stirring again
" Fair enough." Midori-ko nods
" So that means you have to marry someone?" Goku asks
" It does." Midori-ko nods trying to focus on the onigiri she didn't like talking about her arrangement
" So who's the lucky guy?" Goku asks looking away from her.
Midori-ko smirks seeing pink on Goku's cheeks but was taken back by remembering she had to marry the insufferable Dragon Prince.
" I'm promised to marry the future Dragon Emperor." Midori-ko sighs picking some rice off the onigiri
" Oh wow so you will actually be royalty one day?" Goku asks
"Yes we're due to be married on my 18th birthday." Midori-ko bit her thumbnail
" Three years you'll be a Emperoress." Goku's tone softens going back to the pot of noodles
" Yes it's my duty to my family." Midori-ko sighs
" Well anyway I hope you're hungry." Goku's tone perks back up"Lunch is almost done."
" Perfect." Midori-ko smiles
Midori-ko and Goku were fast friends bonding over food.
Midori-ko was intrigued by all the earth realm foods Goku told her about.
After lunch Goku had to return to his training, something about a time chamber giving Midori-ko a chance to return to the library.
Later that night Midori-ko was sitting on the ledge of Kami's look out.
She could clearly see all the stars from where she was sitting the excitement of learning about Earth Realms stars sent chills through her.
The breeze gently blew her hair since she'd undid her braid. Closing her eyes she kicked her legs back and forth.
"Your hair is so long." Goku said sitting next to her
Midori-ko opened her eyes Goku was smiling at her Midori-ko retuned his smile thankful it was night time and he couldn't see her blush.
" Thank you." She smiles
" So you really won't spar with me?" Goku tilts his head making himself boyishly appealing
" I'd rather not." Midori-ko looks down at her feet
"Shame I would have liked a different opponent, I've never fought someone who uses actual magic before." Goku expresses kicking his much longer legs back and forth too
"Sorry I don't like using my magic on people unless absolutely necessary." Midori-ko sighs not wanting to share why.
" Hey I get it." Goku smiles
" Thank you, blue is your color." Midori-ko points to the navy blue gi Goku had put on
" It's a lot better than the itchy kimono Mr Popo gave me to wear." Goku cringed
" Goku! Lady Midori-ko! Dinners ready." Mr Popo called to them from Kami's castle
" Alrighty." Goku called back standing up "Let's go." Goku holds out a hand to help Midori-ko up
" Let's ." Midori-ko smiles standing holding eye contact with Goku noticing the perfect dark chocolate color of his eyes, smiling to herself she could get used to this.
