" Is Midori-ko okay?" Goku asks Mr Popo as he exited Midori-ko's room.
" She has a high fever." Mr Popo tells him closing Midori-ko's door
" Oh no." Goku frowns "Is there anything I can do to help?" Goku asks
" Let her get some rest." Mr Popo tells him
"Okay." Goku bows his head before turning around
" Goku may I ask you something?" Mr Popo taps his shoulder
" What's up?" Goku looks back
" Is there something going on between you and Lady Midori-ko?" Mr Popo asks
" What do you mean?" Goku furrows his brow
"Well Lady Midori-ko is asleep from the medicine I gave her but she was mumbling your name." Mr Popo shares with Goku
" My name?" Goku felt a surge go through him making his tail twitch "Really?"
" I would never lie to you Goku." Mr Popo tells him
" I don't know what to say." Goku says his heart racing
" I fear that Lady Midori-ko has feelings for you." Mr Popo shares
" What kind of feelings?" Goku asks
" You know romantic feelings." Mr Popo explains
" What?" Goku blinks
" Romantic means oh how can I put this so you'll understand? It means you want to kiss someone Goku." Mr Popo sighs
" Wow" Goku gapes "I just I'm speechless." He smiles
" Goku oh my I believe I may have said too much." Mr Popo puts his hands together
" Why? " Goku asks
"I don't want you to hurt her. Lady Midori-ko is going to be a very important, influential person some day and I do also consider her a friend..."" I would never hurt her I promise." Goku interrupted "If what you're saying is true than I couldn't be happier." Goku looks down bashfully
" I'm glad." Mr Popo smiles"Please do not share what I said."
" Yeah yeah." Goku waves his hand
" Please give Lady Midori-ko time to tell you herself." Mr Popo pleads
" Geez I get it." Goku rolls his eyes "Can I see her?" He asks
" I... sure just don't wake her up." Mr Popo nods
Not saying anything to Mr Popo Goku entered Midori-ko's room.
Midori-ko had since reverted back to her human form and was fast asleep just like Mr Popo said. Midori-ko was on her right side with the covers pulled up almost over her face and a tissue clutched in her hand. She was breathing through her mouth making her cheeks and lips flushed.
Her crimson hair was disheveled and falling out of it's typical braid.
Goku smiles brushing some hair off her forehead before giving her forehead a small kiss.
" Feel better soon." Goku whispers before going to the door Goku looks back at Midori-ko one last time before he exited her room his heart swelling happily.
" Hey sleepy head." Goku's voice called to her, Midori-ko opened her eyes her head feeling heavy.
" G-Goku?" Midori-ko slowly sat up "What are you doing in my room?" She rubs her eyes, Midori-ko was decent but Goku had never been in her room before.
" Mr Popo said I could make you some food to get your strength back up." Goku smiles holding a tray
" Oh Goku thank you." Midori-ko gives him a weak smile"You didn't have to do that."
" Hush." Goku says bringing over the tray to her "I made you a rice porridge also known as okayu. With some of Mr Popo's homemade lemon ginger tea." Goku smiles
" Oh wow." Midori-ko smiles feeling the warmth from the food and tea "Thank you so much."
" Stop." Goku says "Eat you'll feel better."
" You're an angel." Midori-ko tells him picking up her spoon
" Nah I'm just me." Goku smiles "Let me know if you need anything else."
" Goku no nevermind." Midori-ko says
" Do you want me to stay?" Goku asks getting ready to sit on the end of her bed
" I do but you'll get sick." Midori-ko looks down"That's how it goes."
" I'll deal." Goku sat down on the end of her bed
" I don't want to mess up your training." Midori-ko tells him
" Ookay but you're my friend and I want to make sure you're doing okay." Goku argues
" I feel like I'm not going to win this argument." Midori-ko squints at him
" Nope." Goku smirks
Goku stayed at Midori-ko's side all that day taking care of anything she needed. Mr Popo would check on them occasionally but didn't seem worried about Goku being Midori-ko's caretaker for the day.
It was pretty late but Goku was still hanging out with Midori-ko in her room.
" Is there anything you'd like to do when you're feeling better?" Goku asks bouncing a ball against Midori-ko's wall
" Take a bath." Midori-ko jokes
" You smell fine trust me I have a nose like a dog." Goku tells her pointing at his perfect button nose.
" I don't know." Midori-ko shrugs
" There's got to be something." Goku keeps bouncing the ball against the wall
" Well let me think." Midori-ko says "Goku can you stop that for a second please." She sighs
" It's for my reflexes." Goku caught the ball
" I know I'm sorry." Midori-ko deeply sighs " I think I'd like to have a cheese burger and fries." Midori-ko tells him
" That's a great idea." Goku smiles
" I don't know how we'll get a hold of one." Midori-ko says
" I can make you one." Goku offers
" That's sweet of you but I'm intrigued by going to an actual burger place." Midori-ko smiles
" Oh yeah diners are a blast." Goku smiles "They have shakes there too."
" Oh? Well that sounds wonderful." Midori-ko smiles back
" Awesome I'll take you to one as soon as you're feeling better." Goku excitedly tells Midori-ko
"But Goku you're not supposed to leave the outlook." She reminds him
" Pfff what Kami doesn't know won't hurt him." Goku chuckles
" I don't want you in trouble." Midori-ko says before coughing a little
" I don't get in trouble with Kami for very long." Goku winks
" Oh okay if you're sure." Midori-ko rolls her eyes but still smiles
" Well alright it's a date then." Goku smiles brightly
" Like a date date?" Midori-ko asks trying not to swallow her tongue
" That's what I meant yeah." Goku nods
" I... yeah that sounds great." Midori-ko tried to hide her shock
" Cool." Goku smiles "It's pretty late I should probably let you get some sleep." Goku stood
" Okay." Midori-ko smiles trying to hide the fact she was shaking
" Good night." Goku smiles before leaving her room
