It only took a few days for Midori-ko to feel better from her fever.
She still couldn't believe Goku had set up a date.
Ever since she'd gotten sick Goku had become very attentive and seemed to make any excuse to be around her.
Which Midori-ko wasn't complaining however his sudden change in attitude was strange but still welcome.
It was a late in the afternoon as Midori-ko sat under one of the potted trees on Kami's look out sketching away in her notebook while Goku trained near by.
Or so she thought
" Hiya." Goku walked from behind her
" Oh gosh." Midori-ko jumps "Hi Goku."
" Can I join you?" He asks
" You may." She nods trying to ignore the fact that Goku was shirtless and she could really see how well his training was toning his body.
Goku was growing like a weed and becoming a strapping young man which Midori-ko was noticing more and more each day how attractive Goku was.
Goku sat next to her under the tree his eyes peeking to see what Midori-ko was doing.
She was shading in hair from a sketch that kind of looked like him.
Goku's body flushed realizing her notebook page was full of sketches of him training.
" Wow Midori-ko." Goku smiles
"What do you think?" She asks showing him
" I don't look that good do I?" Goku asks leaning in to get a better look
" Better." Midori-ko looks at the page
" Bullshit." Goku scoffs
" No really you've got this this elegance about you that I haven't been able to capture." Midori-ko tells him before looking up to see how close his face was to hers
"That's impossible." Goku breathes holding eye contact with her
" Goku I need to talk to you about something." Midori-ko says feeling his breath on her lips making her heart race
" Ya do?" Goku bit his lip
" Goku." Kami called from the castle entrance breaking their trance
" Yeah?" Goku calls back
" Come here please." Kami motions for him
" Right now?" Goku complains
" Yes now." Kami says
" Ugh fine." Goku rolls his eyes"Hey tonight do you want to go get those cheese burgers?" Goku whispers before standing
" Tonight?" Midori-ko asks 'I don't have anything to wear.' she internally screamed
" Yup." Goku nods
" Sure." Midori-ko smiles
" Awesome." Goku winks before jogging up to Kami.
Midori-ko watched Goku run up to Kami not failing to notice how tall and tone he'd grown since she'd come to Kami's look out.
" I've got to find Mr Popo." Midori-ko says to herself since Mr Popo was in charge of supplying food and other items to the look out.
" Mr Popo." She found him in the kitchen
" Yes my lady." Mr Popo turns to her
" Can I mean may I ask you a favor?" Midori-ko walks up to him
" Most certainly." Mr Popo nods
" I umm need I mean you can obtain things for the look out right?" Midori-ko fumbles
" Is it something my lady needs for her time of the month?" Mr Popo asks
" Oh no no you've done awesome with that." Midori-ko shook her hands "I need a dress."
" A dress?" Mr Popo asks
" Yeah umm like a nice sun dress or something." Midori-ko says not looking at Mr Popo
" Are you in need of different clothes?" Mr Popo asks
" Uhh no it's just I was reading some of Kami's fiction books and there were girls wearing sundresses and I thought I might like one." Midori-ko smiles thinking she came up with the perfect excuse
" I can certainly my lady." Mr Popo bows
" Mr Popo if it's not too terribly inconvenient could I have it by tonight?" Midori-ko asks
" Well I suppose." Mr Popo looks up at his planner "I don't normally go to market until Wednesday but they have their half off vegetables on Sundays... alright My lady I'll look for you a sun dress." Mr Popo nods
" Thank you so much and I can reimburse you whatever it costs." Midori-ko tells him
" That's not necessary my lady." Mr Popo pats her shoulder
" No seriously I'll pay you back I have Earth Realm money." Midori-ko tells Mr Popo
" Non sense my lady." Mr Popo laughs "However if I may, what is urgency?" He asks
" Uhh no reason." Midori-ko blushes
" Does it have to do with Goku?" Mr Popo asks
Midori-ko's face turning beet red answered Mr Popo.
" My lady I will look for the most beautiful dress I can find you have my promise." Mr Popo smiles
" Thank you Mr Popo." Midori-ko smiles
" I need to um get back to my studies." Midori-ko points behind her
" Let her know if you need anything at My lady." Mr Popo bows
" Okay." Midori-ko smiles before taking off towards the library, she wished Mr Popo would stop with the formalities but she couldn't stop thinking about how she was going out to get cheese burgers with Goku that night.
A few hours had passed since Midori-ko had asked Mr Popo to get her a sundress and she had settled back into her usual spot in Kami's library.
Where she could perfectly see Goku training.
He was a perfect specimen and she could watch him all day.
" My Lady." Mr Popo got her attention
" Hello Mr Popo." Midori-ko smiles at him
" I believe I may found you a dress." Mr Popo tells her holding up a garment bag.
" Well alright." Midori-ko smiles standing up from her spot
" I hope it's to your liking My Lady." Mr Popo hands her the bag
" I trust you." Midori-ko says "Excuse me I'm going to go try it on." She excused herself before going to her room.
Midori-ko didn't waste any time opening the garment bag to see what Mr Popo found.
To her surprise the dress Mr Popo found was even better than Midori-ko expected.
A light cream colored french gauzey looking sun dress that had little wild flowers sown into the fabric.
" Oh wow." Midori-ko smiles hugging the dress.
Before trying on the dress Midori-ko ran out of her room to find Mr Popo.
" Mr Popo." She ran up to him
" Yes My Lady?" He asks
" Thank you ever so much I owe you." Midori-ko gave Mr Popo a quick hug
" Don't mention it." Mr Popo chuckles
" Thank you." She smiles
The sun was setting when Midori-ko left her room.
Goku was leaving his room at the same time.
" Hey." Goku whispered
" Hey there." Midori-ko smiled she'd taken extra care to look cute. She of course wore the dress Mr Popo went and got her and instead of her usual braid Midori-ko pulled her hair into a high ponytail and put on just enough makeup to show her features.
" You're wearing a dress." Goku blinks
" Do you like it?" Midori-ko asks
" Uhh you look like a princess." Goku smiles
" You always say that." Midori-ko laughs
" Come on let's get some grub." Goku motions for her to follow him
