" My Lady you haven't touched your breakfast." Mr Popo approached her the next morning

" I'm not hungry." Midori-ko chewed on her thumbnail

" Did my lady's date go well?" Mr Popo asks picking up Midori-ko's uneaten breakfast

" It was perfect. Goku was beyond wonderful." Midori-ko sighs

" Than why is my lady upset?" Mr Popo asks

" Because." Midori-ko chewed on her thumbnail"Last night I could hear Kami yelling at Goku and Goku hasn't spoken to me all morning and on top of that Kami has got Goku training out there in the rain because we wanted to have a little fun." Midori-ko vents

" I'm sorry My Lady...""Stop!" Midori-ko slammed her fist on the table shattering a tea cup into tiny pieces "Stop with the formalities I don't want to be My Lady I don't want to be the future Dragon Empress I just want to be in love with an adorable brown eyed boy but I don't get that! Because I've got to marry some prick!" Midori-ko rages only getting Mr Popo to hug her

" Breath my friend." Mr Popo calmly said

" Damn it Mr Popo I'm sorry." Midori-ko shudders "I'll replace the cup."

" No no just breathe." Mr Popo tells her

" I'm sorry." Midori-ko could feel tears rolling down her cheeks.

"Come in." Kami told Midori-ko as she entered his study.

Kami was facing away from her watching as Goku trained in the pouring rain.

Midori-ko stood in front of Kami's desk waiting for him to start in on her.

" First I want to say I cannot reprimand you like I can our dear Son Goku." Kami keeps his eyes on outside

" I'm listening." Midori-ko says

" However I must remind you of your arrangement to The Dragon Prince." Kami sighs facing her"My lady you are to be an Empress I'm sure I don't have to explain the weight of that responsibility." Kami tells her

" I get it." Midori-ko says

" I don't know if you do." Kami sighs"You will be a ruler of something more important than yourself."

" You sound like my father." Midori-ko scoffs

" I am responsible for you while you're here my lady." Kami reminds

"I hear you."

" But are you listening My Lady?" Kami approaches

" I have no choice." Midori-ko crossed her arms

" My Lady Midori-ko I must also keep Goku on moving forward with his destiny." Kami adds

" I know he's supposed to kill Piccolo Jr." Midori-ko rolls her eyes "He's told me."

" I should have dismissed Goku from his training after last night." Kami tells her

" Please Kami don't this training to defeat Piccolo Jr means everything to Goku...""Then you understand." Kami holds up his hand "If you care for him you cannot jeopardize what Goku must do."

" Yes Kami." Midori-ko keeps her head down

" I'm not telling you that you can't love Goku but I want to you be very very careful are we clear?" Kami asks

" Yes sir." She nods

" Good." Kami smiles "Now enough fire and brimstone I can share that our dear Son Goku is very fond of you." Kami adds

" Oh gosh." Midori-ko blushes

" How did he put it?" Kami taps his chin "Goku expressed that he has butterflies in his stomach when he's around you." Kami smiles

" I'm overjoyed." Midori-ko smiles like an idiot

" I'm glad." Kami smiles

Despite what Kami shared with Midori-ko, Goku hadn't spoken to her all day.

Midori-ko occasionally looked up from her studies to see Goku outside running laps around Kami's look out as it still rained but Goku seemed to be completely focused in what he was doing.

Midori-ko could hear Goku when he was finished and walk inside to his room but still Goku didn't bother come talk to her like he normally would.

Midori-ko went to grab another book from the shelf when something black jumped out and scurried by her.

"Ahhhh!"

Midori-ko's cry echoed through Kami's castle.

" Midori-ko!" Goku rushed into the library still dripping wet. "Are you ok?"

" S-spider." Midori-ko stood on the library ladder pointing at a scared stiff house spider

Goku's face twitched he tried not to laugh but he couldn't help it.

" Goku it's not funny." Midori-ko cries "Kill it." She points

Goku was laughing so hard he was holding onto his sides.

After carefully rescuing the spider by placing it in a safe potted plant in the hallway.

Goku and Midori-ko stood silently for a moment.

Midori-ko debated on just going back to her room but Goku started talking.

" I had a good time last night." Goku keeps his eyes forward

" Me too." Midori-ko nods

" But we can't do it again." Goku says depan

" I know." She sighs

" My training here is more important than anything I'll probably ever do." Goku tells her "And I have to focus."

" Kami reminded me." Midori-ko fidgets

" Midori-ko I want you to know that I don't want to stop spending time with you." Goku faces her getting Midori-ko to look up at him

" Nah I like myself better when I'm with you." Goku looks right in her eyes

" I like myself better when I'm with you too." Midori-ko felt her heart racing

"Are you hungry?" Goku smiles getting Midori-ko's heart sing

" You read my mind." Midori-ko smiles "Maybe you should change into some dry clothes first." Midori-ko pokes his wet sleeve

" Yeah I might want to do that." Goku smiles before peeling off his soaked gi top showing off his perfectly toned torso and muscular arms

" Dude." Midori-ko stared

" Am I bothering you?" Goku asks shaking some water out of his hair

" Only in the best way." She practically drooled

" Oh ho?" Goku chuckles

" Oh my God!" Midori-ko covers her face feeling it burn with blush

" Yes?" Kami called down the hall

" Nothing Kami." Goku laughs with Midori-ko
