Another few months had passed at Kami's look out Goku and Midori-ko spend as much time with each other as they could.

Despite Mr Popo's encouragement and even Kami being agreeable Midori-ko and Goku still danced around each other and neither had confessed.

No matter how obvious it was that they felt the same about each other

It was a typical night as Goku and Midori-ko were hanging out in Kami's library.

" Midori-ko how about this book?" Goku asks taking down a light green book

" Oh Pride and Prejudice? I didn't take you for a hopeless romantic Goku " Midori-ko teases

" Excuse me?" Goku wrinkles his nose "Remind me what romantic means?"

" Well... romantic usually has to do with romance which basically is an expression of strong emotional desires to connect with someone." Midori-ko explains settling down on the giant bean bag chair that her and Goku would sit on every night as Midori-ko read through a book.

" So you mean when you want to kiss someone?" Goku asks holding eye contact with Midori-ko

" Yeah you could look at it that way." She nods opening the book as Goku sat down next to her on the bean bag chair "It is truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife." Midori-ko read with great speed and grace

Halfway through her reading Goku rested his head on her shoulder like normal absent mindly playing with her kimono sleeve.

Midori-ko stopped when Goku yawned.

" Do you want me to keep going?" She asks

" Please I like it when you read to me." He smiles sleepily

Midori-ko yearned to tell Goku how much he meant to her but couldn't come up with the words.

"As you wish." She nods

Goku's eyes were watery and tired as he gave her another sleepy smile before resting his head on her shoulder again.

" In vain I have struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you." Midori-ko read her heart racing but she grabbed Goku's hand and squeezed but she got light snoring as a response making her chest fall.

" Goku." She bobbed her shoulder to wake him

" Extra large beef stir fry bowl with extra sauce." Goku mumbles in his sleep

" Goku you're asleep." Midori-ko smiles

" Ah I'm sorry." Goku sat up"Did I drool on you again?" Goku asks

" Not at all." She smiles"I think it's time to call it a night." Midori-ko tells him

" Good idea." Goku yawned

" I'll finish the book for tomorrow." Midori-ko tells him

" I like this book it's interesting." Goku says

" Ah yes it sure is." Midori-ko says standing Goku took that as his que to stand with her "You've gotten even taller." Midori-ko smiles looking up at Goku

" I suppose I have." Goku yawns

" What are you going to want for your birthday?" Midori-ko asks going to put Pride and Prejudice back on the shelf

" Uhh I don't know I haven't really thought about it." Goku shrugs following her

" Well think silly I'll get you anything you want." Midori-ko tells him

" I dunno I'll need more time to think." Goku says

Goku had definitely grown since they'd meet months ago.

His shoulders were broader he'd gained a lot more muscle Midori-ko's gaze went to his face. The baby face was replaced with high cheekbones and strong jawline.

" No rush your 16th birthday isn't until May 9th so you have a month." Midori-ko tells him walking out of the library with Goku walking at her side.

They walked silently back to their rooms mostly because Goku was half asleep. Midori-ko stopped since her room was first.

" Sweet dreams Goku." Midori-ko pats his shoulder

"Gnight." Goku smiles back but lingers in the hallway staring into Midori-ko's eyes "I... nevermind." His gaze dropping

"What is it?" Midori-ko asks

" Nothing I had to of dreamed it." Goku shook his head

" Dreamed what?"

" Well...I coulda sworn back there you told me that you loved me." He points his thumb back at the library

" What if it wasn't a dream?" Midori-ko asks feeling bold "What if it was real?"

Goku stood silently staring at Midori-ko which felt like forever. She wanted to desperately wanted to know what Goku was thinking. He opened and closed his mouth as if he wanted to say something.

Goku reached out a hand holding Midori-ko's cheek.

" There's only one thing I can say." Goku says his lips dangerously close to Midori-ko's "I love you."

Midori-ko's body felt white hot when Goku's lips took over hers as his strong arms held Midori-ko close to his strong chest.

" You're shivering." Goku says pulling his lips away but still held her to him

"I'm sorry I'm just so happy." Midori-ko smiles pecking Goku's lips

" I shouldn't be kissing you should I? You're betrothed to someone else." Goku looks down

" I don't care." Midori-ko held his face kissing Goku again him pressing his lips into hers

" I can't stop kissing you." Goku breathes by now he'd pressed Midori-ko up against the wall

" Than don't." Midori-ko bit her lip

" Should we um go somewhere else?" Goku asks

" More comfortable?" Midori-ko asks lightly gripping his gi

"Yeah."

" We can go into your room." Midori-ko asks

" I I don't want us to...I mean I do...""No no Goku relax we'll just kiss that's it." She pats his chest

" I like that idea." Goku rests his forehead on hers

" Come on then." Midori-ko smiles before Goku lead her into his room.
