The following morning...

"Has Goku woken up?" Kami asks walking into the kitchen

" Not yet Kami." Mr Popo shook his head

" We'll give him a little more time but then he needs to be up training." Kami tells Mr Popo

" Yes Kami."

In Goku's room he was curled up in his bed underneath the covers.

Everything hurt.

Why did she have to be so pretty?

Why did she have to be so smart and kind to him.

' Goku I think you're very smart just carefree that's all.' Midori-ko had smiled so brightly at him

Goku's mind was racing and his body hurt. He just wanted Midori-ko back.

He wanted to hold her and tell her how beautiful she is.

Goku knew Midori-ko couldn't sleep if she wasn't at Goku's side.

Who was going to hold her and tell her it was alright when she was having a panic attack?

Midori-ko was physically stronger than him being a celestial dragon and everything but Midori-ko still relied on Goku for emotional support.

Goku wanted to know what he did wrong, why did Midori-ko have to say she would never see him again unprovoked.

He thought that everything was going great for them.

Goku thought everything was perfect.

Some how Goku managed to get up and go down to the kitchen.

Everything still hurt.

" Goku you're awake." Mr Popo greets him.

Goku doesn't say anything he just sits at the table in Midori-ko's usual spot.

" Are you hungry?" Mr Popo asks setting down a glass of orange juice

" I guess." Goku keeps his head down

" I'll make you some breakfast." Mr Popo tells him

Midori-ko had sat in her reading chair shut up in her bedroom all night.

The tea her father brought her had grown cold and it would taste gross.

Midori-ko's whole body felt gross, she felt a deep empty feeling in her stomach but it wasn't from hunger.

Being a celestial dragon she didn't need to eat to stay alive, eating seven meals a day was just how greedy dragons could be.

Midori-ko knew that she wouldn't be able to go back to Earth Realm now, as much as she regretted letting Goku go, he wouldn't become the greatest martial artist that ever lived like he dreamed if she broke every rule to be his.

That would be her punishment for breaking her betrothal and being in love with someone that wasn't a dragon.

Midori-ko loved Goku too much to let that happen. He had to become the greatest martial artist ever.

Even if that meant that was a life without each other.

By some kind of force Midori-ko managed to find her way to her bathroom and started to run a bath.

She would devote herself to being a good Empress.

As Midori-ko watched the water fill up the tub her stomach started to do somersaults a sour wetness climbed up from her belly.

Thankfully the toilet was next to the tub, Midori-ko retched before she vomited into the toilet bowl.

She dry heaves for a moment before rushing to the sink to rinse out her mouth and splash her face off.

Midori-ko looks up into the mirror shaking a deep feeling of dread filled her.

After cleaning herself up Midori-ko found her father sitting in his office.

" Dad." Midori-ko walks in

" Hey pumpkin." Grand Duke Toga looks up from his work

" You haven't called me that since I was little." Midori-ko feins a smile going to sit in the chair in front of her dad's desk

" Just trying to be more like an actual father." Grand Duke Toga sighs "Son Goku reminded me that you were my daughter not some political pawn." Her father says

" Yeah he has a way about him." Midori-ko blinks trying to not cry again

" What made you decide to come home so early?" Grand Duke Toga asks

" I broke it off with him." Midori-ko clenched her hands together

" I see." Her father nods

" It'll make things easier." Midori-ko looks down

" Yes you're right." Grand Duke Toga nods "I need to get this recon paperwork done and then if you want your old dad will spend sometime with you." He suggests

" Dad can I send for the doctor?" Midori-ko asks her eyes filling with tears

" Well yes." Grand Duke Toga says "Everything okay?"

" I...dad I'm late." Midori-ko heaves

" You're late?" He crinkles his eyebrows

" Yeah you know my my monthly visitor." Midori-ko's voice catches

" Oh my." Grand Duke Toga's eyes opened wide

" I don't know what I'm going to do...""I do." Her father stands up from his seat

" Dad?"

" You'll marry Prince Kaname ahead of schedule but you must bed him on a regular basis." Grand Duke Toga points

" Dad you can't be serious if anyone finds out." Midori-ko shook her head

" I'm dead serious." Grand Duke Toga goes to put his coat on "I'm not losing you or my grandchild, you're mother will not have died in vain." He states
