"Lady Midori-ko is about six weeks along." The family doctor walked out of her room
" I see." Midori-ko's father says looking down at the doctor
" You know I'm sworn by doctor patient confidentiality I won't tell a soul." The family doctor said, for a dragon she was almost completely round with rosey cheeks and short cream colored hair.
" You've served our family since I was a boy I'd hope you understand how important our privacy is." Grand Duke Toga reminds the doctor
" Of course my Lord I wouldn't dream of hurting your family." The doctor shook her head
" Good."
" I'm surprised though my Lord." The doctor says "I thought the Prince preferred the company of men." She says
" Hmmm." Grand Duke Toga smirks
" Well you thought wrong."
" I'd get them married quick then, don't want the whole world knowing they had a child out of wedlock." The doctor says before walking down the hall
Grand Duke Toga knocked before going into Midori-ko's room.
" Well done Midori-ko." Grand Duke Toga smiles at Midori-ko who had moved her reading chair to her window so she could just look outside
" I have to protect my baby." Midori-ko says, she'd curled up into herself.
Nothing else mattered but keeping Goku's baby safe.
" You'll be a brilliant mother." Her father tells her
" Thank you dad."
" You're welcome." He nods
" I would like to see Goku one last time if possible." Midori-ko says
" That's up to you pumpkin." Grand Duke Toga tells her
" There's going to be a martial arts tournament in a year." Midori-ko looks away from the window "I want to see him fight."
" We'll make it happen." Her father tells her

A year had passed since Midori-ko left the lookout.
Goku missed her every day but he followed Kami's every instruction and the pain seemed to tuck itself away.
Except at night, nighttime was the worst.
All Goku could think about was Midori-ko.
But finally the day came.
For the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament.
It was raining cats and dogs when Goku showed up.
When Goku spotted his friends he was overjoyed.
" Hey guys." Goku smiles, he was starting to feel like himself again
Goku reunited with his dear friends.
Bulma, Master Roshi, Launch, Puar and Oolong.
They chatted for a while before Krillin, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan and Chiaotzu all showed up.
Goku would have loved to have introduced Midori-ko to his close friends. Midori-ko would have fit right in.
They would have loved her and she them.
" Alright let's head in."
" Yeah."
Goku was happy to be around his friends, he could have felt a lot better a lot sooner if Goku was around them when Midori-ko left.
Just out of the corner of Goku's eye as they walked into the preliminary area Goku could have sworn he saw a short girl with crimson red hair in the crowd.
When he turned it was just a person with a silly hat.
" Oh well." Goku sighs
" Goku come on." Krillin waves to him
" Coming." Goku jogged up to Krillin

13 years later...
"You know not everything is my fault King Kai." Goku states walking along Snake Way with King Kai and company
" Yes Goku yes it is." King Kai walked a head of him " You blew up my home and my planet."
" I said I was sorry." Goku rolls his eyes
" We have no where to sleep, eat or even take a bath." King Kai complains "And it's all your fault."
" Why not there?" Goku points to a castle off in distance
" I don't know." King Kai squints
" It looks like Princess Snake's home but it's got Dragons on it." Goku says
" Dragons... wait no no no we're not we can't stay there." King Kai shook his head
" Why not?" Goku asks
" Because that's where the Dragon Empress lives." King Kai explains
" Midori-ko?" Goku almost whispered his heart skipping a beat looking at the castle
" That's Empress Midori-ko!" King Kai scolds "Wait how do you know her name?" King Kai stops
" Uhh it's a long story." Goku looks down
" I feel like you're hiding something from me." King Kai squints at Goku
"I don't feel like talking about it." Goku says his eyes growing distant clearly thinking about something that took place years ago
" Anyway...Bubbles get away from there!" King Kai yells at the chimp who had made his way down the walk way almost to the front door.
Neither Goku or King Kai noticed that the door had opened.
" Hi Mr monkey." A young boys voice says
King Kai rushed over with Goku following behind him.
" I'm sorry young man if my monkey is disturbing you." King Kai bows to a young man that looked to be around Gohan's age dressed in green and blue princely attire that had dragons sewn into the fabric
With a matching princely hat covering his hair.
" It's ok I like monkey's well all animals." The young man smiles up at King Kai
" Forgive me I'm King Kai and the monkeys name is Bubbles." King Kai introduces himself and Bubbles
" I know who you are." The young man smiles "And you're Son Goku Earth's greatest warrior my mom has told me everything about you." The young man smiles
" She has?" Goku swallowed
"Yes she's your biggest fan, it's nice to meet you both I'm Prince Daisuke." The young prince holds out his hand to shake Goku's
Goku shook the young princes hand and felt this immense power coming from him nearly knocking Goku over.
"Whoa you're super duper strong." Goku blurts
" Thank you Son Goku." Prince Daisuke smiles "But I'm not a fighter I don't like hurting people."
" Like your mom." Goku breathes
" Yes like my mom." Prince Daisuke nods
Goku couldn't help but notice the young princes eyes looked exactly like his very own and his face was also close to Gohan's or his own. And his inflections were the same as Gohan's.
" Is your mother home?" King Kai asks
" Not today she's caught up in business with my father." Prince Daisuke says "Is it something I can help you with?"
" Well Earth's greatest warrior here blew up my planet." King Kai points at Goku
" I'm sorry to hear that King Kai." Prince Daisuke says "You are welcome to take shelter in my home." Prince Daisuke points towards the door
" We wouldn't want to impose." Goku itched his scar
" What's gotten into you?" King Kai squints at Goku
" It's no trouble." Prince Daisuke waves his hand "Stupid hat." He annoyingly took the hat off to reveal spikey hair that grew in the same exact way Goku's did but crimson like Midori-ko's "Forgive me this particular hat makes my head itchy." Prince Daisuke smiles exactly like Goku getting King Kai to yelp.
" You you." King Kai points at Prince Daisuke
" Everything okay King Kai?" Prince Daisuke tilts his head
" You have really red hair." King Kai states
" Yeah I get it from my mom." Prince Daisuke smiles "Come on." He motions for them to follow him as he headed back towards the castle
" You have some explaining to do." King Kai points at Goku
" King Kai I don't know what you're talking about." Goku steps back
" How do you know Empress Midori-ko?" King Kai pokes Goku's chest
" I told you it's a long story." Goku laughs nervously
" Hey are you two coming?" Prince Daisuke calls from the double doors.
Bubbles already had started making his way inside.
" Let's go." King Kai grumbles
The inside of the castle was just as beautiful as the outside full of white marble and red marble dragon statues.
The center of the entrance was a large staircase with a balcony over looking at doors.
" Mom!" Prince Daisuke chirps rushing up the stairs to her
At the top of the stairs stood Empress Midori-ko looking regal in a wine red kimono dress and her hair styled expertly.
" Hello sweetheart."Empress Midori-ko smiles as Prince Daisuke hugged her
" I thought you weren't going to be home today?" Prince Daisuke looks up at his mom
" I changed my mind." She smiles
" Your excellency." King Kai falls to his knees "Goku bow to your betters." King Kai hisses
" To your feet King Kai." Empress Midori-ko motions for him to stand "Hello Son Goku it's been awhile." Empress Midori-ko faces towards him
"Uh yeah you could say that." Goku's eyes stayed on Empress Midori-ko his heart beating fast her blue eyes seemed to look right through Goku "You look beautiful." He says walking up the stairs, she was the only thing in the room to him.
"I suppose." Empress Midori-ko looks up at Goku "You've gotten even taller."
" I guess so." Goku says "Gosh I missed you." Goku tries to make eye contact with Empress Midori-ko
"Anyway." Empress Midori-ko looks away "I don't have a lot of time sweetheart have you eaten?" Empress Midori-ko puts her focus on Prince Daisuke
" Not yet." Prince Daisuke says "Mom I wanted ask if King Kai and Son Goku and their monkey of course can stay." Prince Daisuke asks
" Certainly my home is open to any weary traveler." Empress Midori-ko nods to King Kai "I'm understanding that your home was recently lost." Empress Midori-ko says to King Kai
"How did you know?" King Kai asks
" I know a lot of things." Empress Midori-ko smiles at her son who smiles back with Goku's smile
" It's true your excellency." King Kai bows
" You and your company are welcome to stay in my home as long as necessary." Empress Midori-ko tells King Kai keeping her eyes off Goku
" Thank you your highness." King Kai bows
" How long are you able to stay mom?" Prince Daisuke asks
" I can have lunch with you." Empress Midori-ko smiles down at Prince Daisuke.
" Would you mind making your spinach puffs?" Prince Daisuke asks following his mom
" Sure sweetheart." Empress Midori-ko pats her son's head
" Come on guys." Prince Daisuke waves for Goku and company to join them "My mom makes the best spinach puffs."
