The next morning Goku woke up before Midori-ko. She was still asleep in his arms, using his bicep as a pillow.
This was how it was supposed to be in the first place. With Midori-ko safe in his arms.
Goku held Midori-ko closer to him his heart swelling happily.
" Hmmm." Midori-ko stirred in her sleep "Goku?" She slightly turned to look at him
" Good morning beautiful." He held Midori-ko close
" Good I wasn't dreaming." She smiles

" Okay." She leaned into Goku more "I haven't slept in years." Midori-ko exhales

" Why on earth haven't you been sleeping?" Goku asks gently turning her face so she'd look at him
" Because." Midori-ko's pupils looked down "I can't sleep unless you're next to me."
" Oh." Goku breathes
" Yeah." Midori-ko sighs "I'm going to take a shower." She wiggles out of Goku's hold and managed to find her robe
" Do you want some company?" Goku sits up
" I have to grab something from downstairs,meet me in the shower in 5 minutes." She orders biting her lip staring at him.
" You got it." Goku gave her a devilish look before getting out of Midori-ko's bed and walking towards the bathroom next to her second story bedroom
Midori-ko rushed down her spiral staircase and to her little coffee and tea nook to get the coffee started before dropping everything she had and following Goku into her private bathroom.
Opening the door she could see Goku already standing under the faucet, Midori-ko just stood there mesmerized by all Goku's muscule heaven glory. " Now do you want to rephrase that question?" Midori-ko asks
" Forgive me... you clearly have history with Goku." King Kai points out
" He was my first love what about it?" Midori-ko flatly says "I'm the one who screwed up our relationship and I've never loved anyone since." Midori-ko tells King Kai with no hesitation "Anything else?"
" I didn't know I'm sorry." King Kai kept his head down
" Midori-ko." Goku walks up to her
" I think King Kai got the message."
" You're right." Midori-ko sighs "Apologies King Kai, I think I need to eat." Midori-ko holds her forehead going to her seat
" That's all I wanted to know." King Kai shook
" Midori-ko's harmless King Kai she's just protective that's all." Goku smiles at her as she settled in her spot at the table
" Yeah you could say that." King Kai mumbles
" Yeah." Goku sighs happily
" So I guess we're definitely staying?" King Kai asks him
" I'm not going anywhere." Goku says before going to sit by Midori-ko who smiles up at him.
" Umm your highness." Midori-ko's cook stepped out of the kitchen
" Good morning Linh." Midori-ko smiles up at the cook, they were a short dark haired woman who seemed loyal to Midori-ko
" Young master Daisuke hasn't come out of his room, his piano teacher will be here any minute." Linh the cook informed Midori
" Well that's alright Daisuke can sleep in." Midori-ko tells the cook
" Midori-ko if King Kai heard us... maybe Daisuke did too." Goku reached for her hand
" Oh crap." Midori-ko sighs "Thank you Linh, could you get these gentlemen something to eat please."
" Certainly."
" I'll be right back." Midori-ko stood
" I'll come with you." Goku followed Midori-ko down the hall
" Oh boy." King Kai sighs
" Cinnamon roll King Kai?" Linh the cook asks holding out a tray of freshly made cinnamon rolls
" Why yes thank you." King Kai smiles

" Goku just stay here." Midori-ko stopped him at Daisuke's bedroom door "Daisuke can be sensitive."
" He kinda sounds like Gohan." Goku smiles
" Kinda I mean just stay here for now." Midori-ko says before entering Daisuke's room and closing the door to see where her son was.
Hiding under the covers.
" Daisuke." She approached
" Go away." Daisuke says under the covers
" I will not." Midori-ko stood next to his bed "Sweet heart how much did you hear?"
" Enough." Daisuke grumbles
" Sweet heart you know that your father Emperor Kaname has several consorts...""He's not my father though is he?" Daisuke popped up with fire in his eyes
" Daisuke." Midori-ko sighs "Sweetie how much did you hear?" She sat down next to him on his bed
" I heard you telling Son Goku that I'm his son." Daisuke looks down "I didn't hear anything else cause I ran here."
" I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner." Midori-ko brushed some hair out of his eyes
" No." Daisuke says "When Son Goku showed up I kinda got a weird fimilar feeling from him so you were right that I'd probably figure it out on my own." Daisuke fidgets
" Sweet heart I'm still sorry I kept him from you." Midori-ko says
" I don't want all the details mom I'm sure you had a good reason." Daisuke tells her "So am I not going to be Emperor than?" He asks
" You will still be Emperor sweetie." Midori-ko adjusted so she could hug Daisuke's shoulders
" But I'm a halfling I can't...""Sweet heart you let your mom worry about all that political stuff I want you to enjoy being a kid." Midori-ko tells him getting Daisuke to hug his mom in response

" Yes?" Midori-ko hugged Daisuke
" What's Goku like?" Daisuke looks up at her
" He's a wonderful,gentle and compassionate man and if you let him sweetheart Goku will be ten times the father Kaname is to you." Midori-ko explains
"He sounds great mom." Daisuke smiles
" One second sweetie." Midori-ko stood and went to the door

Goku slowly entered Daisuke's room he wasn't sure how Daisuke was going to be. Being part dragon part Saiyan. He could have a really nasty temper.
" Hey there Prince Daisuke." Goku waves
Daisuke sprung out of bed and rushed to Goku and hugged him tightly.
" I wished for a different dad I don't know how many times." Daisuke clinged to Goku
" What?" Goku looks over at Midori-ko
" Goku." Midori-ko sighs standing with them "You met Kaname, he's far from being a kind man."
" Yeah I remember." Goku shivers "Hey Prince Daisuke."
" Just Daisuke to you dad." Daisuke beams up at him
" You were right the lil guy has my charisma." Goku laughs looking at Midori-ko before getting to Daisuke's level "Alright just Daisuke then." Goku ruffles his hair getting Daisuke to smile "I'm sorry I haven't been in your life until now but I'll try to make up for it." Goku tells Daisuke
" I'm happy you're my real dad." Daisuke smiles at Goku "Now I know why my hair is so silly looking."
" Yeah sorry about that." Goku chuckles "My son I mean your half brother Gohan grew out of it so I'm sure you will too." Goku smiles
" I have a brother?" Daisuke smiles up at them "Can I meet him?"
" Someday sweet heart I promise." Midori-ko smiles
" I'll take it." Daisuke smiles
" You're a really good kid." Goku chuckles "I didn't expect you to be so well behaved."
" I ummm my mom said I get my gentle demeanor from my dad and I didn't believe that until today." Daisuke hugs Goku again
" Oh gosh." Goku hugged Daisuke to him
" Hey I know I said I'm not a fighter but would you teach me the basics?" Daisuke smiles up at Goku
" Well duh." Goku chuckles "I'll teach you whatever you want to know."
" Cool." Daisuke jumps up "Can we start training today?"
" That's up to your mom." Goku stood up
"Get cleaned up ,breakfast and your piano lesson first." Midori-ko smiles at Daisuke
" Okay mom." Daisuke smiles before running to his bathroom
" That kid he's going to be a great ruler someday,wow." Goku stood with Midori-ko
" He's been keeping me going all these years." Midori-ko hugs herself getting Goku to embrace her "He's so much like you in so many ways." Midori-ko teared up
" I can tell." Goku kisses her forehead
