He stood in the doorway, his fists tightly clenched and unclenching by his side; he hadn't felt this much anger, this much confusion, in decades. Kagome stood over his student, a pale blue light surrounding the sleeping girl in the bed in front of her.
He had taken Kagome in when she had nowhere to go, and he had given her his trust. That wasn't something Baki willing gave out to just anyone.
In a few steps he stood behind her, his hand raised to stop whatever Jutsu Kagome was inflicting on Temari when a simple, "Please… wait," stopped him.
