Temari blinked hard, resisting the temptation to dig her palms into her eyes. The visible colored Chakra was finally beginning to fade, but the Kage before her was as vibrant as Kagome was. But where her friend was silver, pure and mysterious, her Honorable Father was an inky black -blue that oozed into the atmosphere around him, heavy and deep and so, so dark.
As she looked the man she had known all her life in the eyes, fright crept up her spine. If this was what Kagome saw in her Father, she could understand her friend's hesitation around him.
