Kagome had walked the team to the Village Gate, her arms wrapped tightly around Temari's oversized battle fan. Temari occasionally gave the girl a nervous look, as though she was not quite sure that she would be able to get the fan back from the choking grip Kagome was exerting on it.
"Kagome," called out Baki, his one exposed eye directed in her direction.
"Y-Yes," Kagome whispered so low that it was nearly lost in the wind.
"You are worrying unnecessarily, we are not just the strongest team in Suna for no reason," calmed Baki. But Kagome's smile turned bitter.
