"Losing control of yourself, pathetic," grumbled Gaara, and Kankuro gulped. If Kankuro had been agitated, Gaara had been incensed since arriving in Konoha. Gaara might have calmed down these last few months, but this newly enraged Gaara, without the calming entity of Kagome by his side, was a fearsome beast, one that Kankuro could no longer read for changes in mood.
"Gaara, I hadn't…" Kankuro began, and he wondered how Kagome would have calmed the younger redhead down, she could do it so effortlessly.
"I'll kill you."
The dead look in those teal eyes convinced Kankuro it was completely true.

AN: So sorry to say that this'll be the last chapter until at least December. :( School's starting up and I'm going to have to focus on that again. But 200 seems to be a nice number to stop on, right!
